Good morning, ladies & gentlemen. Lets get right down to business, with none other than Philadelphia's finest. Skateboarding LEGEND- Chuck Treece. Most know Chuck, as the first Black skateboarder to grace the cover of Thrasher Magazine back in 1984. Most know him for supplying the anthem to our youth, with McRad "Weakness". A man of many talents, and a pioneer on & off the skateboard. This, is the one you've all waited for.
Tune in, as Chuck talks his early days skating with Peanut Brown & their Fathers childhood connection. We discuss nationwide skatepark closures in the early 80's, and the effect it had on skateboarding. He shares tales of him & skateboarding LEGEND- Tom Groholski making cross-country trips. We talk to genius of Rodney Mullen, takes us to school on Tim Scroggs, a very bizarre Skatopia story & all things skateboarding. This, is strictly for the culture. I cannot begin to thank this gentleman enough, for this. And, this is just Part 1.
