Weekends Unplugged: Parenting Kids with ADHD and Autism
Lovely day to everyone! Mommy Loi Gesmundo here and this is my welcome episode to everyone who will find value in what we are about to share in this Podcast Show.
Most daddies and mommies I know would say parenting is no walk in a part and I agree! What more for parents who have special needs kids. There is a constant battle on meltdowns, challenging behaviours and delayed milestone progress in many aspects. Not to mention feeling stuck, helpless, and unable to make life better for their kids.
I can honestly tell everyone that I know the feeling and I have been there and still on this journey. But I won't trade my child for anything, because of my child, I have been a different person and I do believe a better one.
I can also honestly tell that I've tried and experimented on different strategies and approaches. But then you will come to realize, there is nothing to fix in your child but yourself, the way you see things and accept things as a parent.
We all have the best of intentions and we are making every effort, but real improvement is still shying away. That’s because we have been focused on changing our kids, and what we haven't realized and addressed is the most crucial part of the process… our parenting.
So, I decided to share my experience and also those of the people whom you will be with here in my humble podcast show. I do hope and pray that each episode brings you valuable information, inspiration and motivation to keep transforming and aiming to become the best parent we can be for our kids with ADHD and Autism.
Thank you for your time and you'd be with us each week here in Weekends Unplugged: Parenting Kids with ADHD and Autism.
