Australia has long been a site of mysterious sightings and rumors surrounding large feral cats, sometimes identified as panthers or even lions, roaming the wilds. These creatures are often said to be much larger than domestic cats, with some reports describing them as the size of a big dog or even larger. Most of these sightings date back to the 19th and early 20th centuries, sparking a range of theories about how these big cats came to be in Australia.
