Episode 026 - The Legend of the Kelly Gang Part 1 (1869-1880)

58 min • 2 december 2018
Ned Kelly, Australia's most infamous outlaw, was executed by hanging at the Old Melbourne Gaol. After a life marked by rebellion against the police and a desire for justice for his family, Kelly was captured following the infamous shootout at Glenrowan. With a suit of homemade plate armor and his gang of fellow outlaws, he attempted to derail the police pursuit, leading to a bloody confrontation. Kelly’s life, from his early days as the son of Irish immigrants to his rise as the leader of a gang, has become a symbol of both defiance and tragedy in Australian folklore.

Join Holly & Matthew as they explore the life and legend of Ned Kelly.
