Spencer, Spangler, and Buzz have a fun conversation with Matt (@cincywatchdoc) our watchmaker at local retailer Richter&Phillips. We talk about what got him started as a collector, how he became interested in watchmaking, and his decision to pursue it as a career. He tells us about his time training in Pennsylvania with Rolex, starting up a new state of the art workshop at Richter&Phillips, and answers our questions about movements (7750 is underrated 321 is beautiful, Rolex movements just fall together logically), the collector community, and share some interesting stories along his journey. We only just scratched the surface, and have a feeling Matt will end up as a repeat guest. Also, if you haven't had a chance to read the HODINKEE article about Richter&Phillips in Cincinnati and Matt's workshop, be sure to check it out as he features prominently!
