Buzz has the night off, so Spence and Spangler sit back down with our OG guest, Zach from CincyStrapco and Nereus watches, to talk about his latest project.
Zach gives us the story behind Nereus, a watch brand that will focus on tool watches, and the first model in the brand's history the Santiago. The Santiago is inspired by the Tudor Submariner, specifically the version with the lollipop hour hand. While the watch is an homage to the Tudor, some of the design elements make it more its own watch. The choice between a 12-hour and dive bezel, the roulette date wheel, and the case dimensions (being slightly SLIMMER than the original) are all small details that help complete the package. Zach also runs us through the technical specs, movement choice, and other fine details.
We also get into some of the new watch releases because those of us that know Zach know that he definitely has his own opinions of things. It was a blast having Zach back on the podcast, be sure to check out CincyStrapco and Nereus Watches as pre-orders are open until Friday of this week!
