Episode 42: The Albany Watch Company

This week's episode features our first guest from the Southern Hemisphere! We had the opportunity to chat with Brett Williams, co-founder of the Albany Watch Company. Brett is located in Cape Town, South Africa but also has connections to Australia. Surfing, Sharks, Snakes, Spiders, its all here!

Chatting with Brett was an absolute pleasure, and the first piece from Albany is truly a stunner. We have had the blue version of the AMA Diver in for review for about a week now, and it is very impressive. Brett has a unique approach to watch design, seeking out "lesser known adventurers." The story of the Ama in Japan is truly unique, and very fitting for a skin diver. We did chat a little about what is to come now that the kickstarter was a big success.

We also chat with Brett about his other passion, acting. Brett is a professional actor with credits to his name such as Black Sails and Raised by Wolves. He told us about how his life as an actor started, and how it prepared him to take a risk by starting Albany Watch Co. 

We also got a chance to talk about cars as Brett is a bit of a gear head as well. He is currently restoring a Charger (Aussie spec) as he is a big Mopar guy. It was a blast talking with him, and we cannot wait to see what else is in store for Brett and Albany!
