Revisiting S4s longest episode, Wolf Alice. I had so much fun making this episode, and love getting the chance to obsess, and revisiting one of my fave bands.

Todays episode is a throwback to Fever 333, from season two. Gone on since to sign Nova Twins to their label, and played some pretty big supporting shows in the past couple of years.

What a story, one of the biggest rises, in drill in 2019, unfortunately cancelled after being charged with attempted murder. Squirted and found not guilty, and back to play R&L’22 can’t wait!

This is such a great episode to recap, not only is Danny Brown amazing, but it really acted as a turning point for the series in terms of its research and production. I’m a massive Danny Brown fan, and can’t wait to see him next Month!

Glass Animals have been destroying charts globally now for over 5 years, and Heatwaves has been dominating playlists and Radio stations since it’s release in 2020. I get to check them out for the first time this year at Splendour, and I couldn’t be more excited!

It’s been one of the more successful episode’s this season, and a lot of fun to research and record. The energy this band exude is unparalleled, they’re so much more than just another Aussie punk band, and I couldn’t be more excited to see them!

I’ve absolutely loved revisiting this episode, there’s a big gold star over their set at Glastonbury 2022. And good god I’m excited to watch their trajectory!

I love the genre-less, DJ and producers, I’m thinking Bonobo, Caribou, Jamie xx, and Mura Masa slots into that so perfectly.

Was great revisiting Hybrid Minds, this was episode 2 from season 2, and my voice has been pitched up so much that I sound pretty pubescent :/

Throwback to series 1 episode 2 for this one, the incredibly underrated Dennis Sulta! Hopefully more disco bangers to come from him in the future!

We’re throwing back to series 2 episode 1 here. There’s was something very… unique about this episode. I’d kinda promised Lauren that I would stop making wtf episodes after series 1, but I made this, and it was instantly very successful and allowed me to connect with loads of new festival goers, and I started to really find my groove for making videos. It was also in a pre COVID world, I’m not quite sure how it’s relevant, but it absolutely is. I find this podcast very cathartic, it gives me the chance to reflect on where I’ve been and how far I’ve come, but the big take away is in the “Trust me when I say, they’re gonna be big” - that’s exactly what music club is all about, it’s about discovery, getting excited, and being able to say “yeah, they’re great, I saw them pre-album debut”. - this is very much an all over the place description, but who reads them anyway!

Loved recording this episode in 2020, such a great band. It was a band I will never forget researching. Banger after Banger after Banger!

Revisiting an oldie but a goodie today. Billie Eilish has absolutely dominated your music industry for the past 3 years. Her soft unassuming vocal, mixed with some of her brothers incredibly intricate production is a recipe for gold. And I’m excited to see where it takes them in the future.

This was one of the better videos taken from season two of WTF, made just before we all went into lockdown in 2020. I think she’s a corker of an artist, and one that I’m excited to see continue to grow and thrive.

The Glade stage was just announced at Glasto, and on it, are some of the finest DJs the world has to offer. Frankie Wah sits at a really interesting intersection of dance music, in what feels like both the end and start of a chapter in its book. What happened next will be exciting!

I recorded this episode while on a road trip in Cairns in 2019. I remember it so well, at the time I’m wasn’t a fan of Clairo at all. Then in late 2019, she released the immaculate ‘Bags’ and that all changed.

Been a fan of caribou for basically my entire adult life. And this set was easily one of my most anticipated for 2020 (pre cancellation) so it goes without saying, I’m deffo checking him out this year (pending clashes). 44 days
