Shannan Martin is a mother, a wife, and a neighbor living in Indiana. She just wrote a book called Start with Hello (And Other Simple Ways to Live as Neighbors). She is very passionate about that and I am as well! It was really fun to connect with her about that. She is also the author of Falling Free and Ministry of Ordinary Places. She is a phenomenal writer.
In this episode, we talk about what it means to be a neighbor. We also talk about her life and how she got to where she is now and how her views and thoughts have changed and how she has walked through that pretty publicly and what that looked like.
She is a cook at a local nonprofit dedicated to feeding her community. It was so fun to hear about that on this podcast episode!
I have been following Shannan and have been reading her books for many years now, so it was so special to have her on the podcast for this interview! She really encouraged me to connect with and care for my neighbors!
