Alex Caspero is a Registered Dietitian and plant based Chef, she is the Founder of Delish Knowledge and the co-founder of Plant Based Juniors. She is the Mom of two and personally focuses on plant foods with a little dairy or egg and what I love about her approach to food and plant based eating is that it’s not an all or nothing deal. Over at Plant Based Juniors, she and her business partner Whitney offer a complete guide to plant-based prenatal and pediatric nutrition.
In this episode we talk about how to make sure our kids are getting enough iron, protein and calcium in a plant based diet. (It’s not as hard as you might think!) We also talk about The Division of responsibility in eating. Parents are in charge of what we are offering and kids – if they want to eat it and how much of it they want to eat. Alex explains this really well and emphasizes teaching our kids self regulation.
