In this episode, Sam makes a case to do one of the bravest things a person can do, which is to go after what they really, truly want.
It is extremely brave to let yourself desire things. To acknowledge it to yourself, to voice it, and to take actions to it.
A ton of insecurities can come up. You may feel unworthy of wanting the thing, afraid of failing, nervous about being made fun of or seeming stupid when putting yourself out there, or feeling selfish for wanting more.
Even with these fears, it is worth it. Because your desires - the true, soul-level desires you don’t stop thinking about - are the pathway to your purpose, fulfillment, joy, and authenticity. And when you ignore these desires, not only may you still experience rejection or unworthiness, but you also may feel a deep, painful sense of regret for not giving yourself the chance to have what you really want.
Be brave and go after it.
