Episode 11: Gratitude & Healing with Shauna Hart
Today's guest is Wild Woman Shauna Hart. She's a wildlife photographer and naturalist living in northern Utah. She's on the board of directors at the Utah Wildlife Federation and a contributing photographer for Save People Save Wildlife in Park City, Utah. Shauna is also a member of the Utah Wildlife Connectivity Committee and advocate for wildlife in areas of development in Utah. She dabbled in Photography all her life, but fell in love with landscape and wildlife Photography when moving to Utah. Six years ago, once she had her own personal experiences connecting with wildlife, she was hooked.

Episode 10: Fear & Inspiration with Erin Babnik
Today's guest is wild woman, Erin Babnik. She's known internationally as a leading photographic artist, educator, author, and speaker, specializing in wilderness landscape photography. She is a Canon Explorer of Light, an f-stop gear Global ICON, a ProMedia Gear Ambassador, and is on the Pro Teams of numerous other brands in the photography industry. In addition, Erin is a member of the illustrious nature photography team Photo Cascadia. Erin’s images appear in a plethora of books, magazines, and commercial products, and her name frequently tops industry lists of the world’s most notable landscape photographers.
Erin currently has offices on two continents, using each as a base for traveling worldwide to teach photography workshops and to speak and write about the art of landscape photography.

Today's guest, Sarah Marino, is a nature photographer, photography educator, and writer based in southwestern Colorado. In addition to photographing grand landscapes, Sarah is best known for her photographs of smaller subjects including intimate landscapes, abstract renditions of natural subjects, and creative portraits of plants and trees. Sarah is the author or co-author of a diverse range of educational resources for nature photographers on subjects like composition, photographing nature’s small scenes, and black and white photography. Sarah, a co-founder of the Nature First Alliance for Responsible Nature Photography, also seeks to promote the responsible stewardship of natural and wild places through her photography and teaching.

Episode 7: Connection & Gratitude with Michele Sons

Michele Sons is a full-time fine art landscape and nature photographer, writer, and educator originally from England and currently based in southwest Virginia in the United States. Her background in geography and environmental science, her taste for adventure, and her highly diverse and extensive travel experience uniquely position her to connect with both the Appalachian landscape she calls home as well as landscapes across the world. Michele’s work is based on a soft, subtle, pared-down aesthetic. Fog, mist, and soft light are intrinsic elements present in many of her images.
Michele’s clients include National Geographic, The Wilderness Society, Great Smoky Mountains Association, Eastern National, and The Appalachian Trail Conservancy. Her work has been featured extensively in the National Geographic Beautiful Landscapes calendars, she has participated in group and solo museum and gallery exhibitions both domestically and internationally, and she has collaborated with non-profits on editorial work in support of America's national parks. Her work has been featured in numerous local and regional print publications as well as highly regarded websites. Michele recently served as 2022 New River Gorge Creative-in-Residence at our nation’s newest national park, and is a 2023 recipient of the Inspired Creator Grant.

Episode 5: Dust Storm & Getting Stuck with Huibo Hou
Huibo Hou a landscape photographer based in San Diego, California. Her interest in photography started back in 1999 as a hobbyist while working in the wireless communication industry. Then life got in the way and she had to give it up for quite some time. In early 2015 Huibo rekindled her love for photography and gradually became more serious.
Landscape photography, especially in black and white, is the art medium that she’s passionate about. She uses it as a creative outlet to express how she observes, interprets, and connects with nature.

Shanda Akin's photography and art are the result of her pursuit to witness a depleting natural globe, bring the surreal to life, and experience remarkable moments in time while sharing my view of the world. Though her formal education was in human resources and organizational management, Shanda’s heart always led her to extreme ends of the earth with a camera in hand. After a 25-year career the Air Force, she chose to make her first project a beautiful book about the nature and landscapes that surround her home, Durango, Colorado. Shanda has an affinity for the outdoors and landscapes, but considers herself a photographic generalist.
