I recently read that, for the first time in decades, Eastman Kodak have started recruiting technicians. It seems that a new generation is discovering film and the creative options it offers.
If you have never used a film camera, and you're interested in knowing more, I hope this podcast will help.
The operation of the camera is slightly different. Obviously the film needs to be loaded and removed and in many cameras the film speed must be manually set (some read the barcode on the film canister). In-built light meters will be different to what you're used to on DSLR's and most SLR's didn't use auto-focus.
I'll talk about these aspects and the elephant in the room; the film itself.
I'll try to give you some insights into these questions in this podcast.
And, if you like this podcast, I;d be grateful if you would let other people know about it.
It's time for another podcast...
