Christina FINALLY persuaded Maddie to watch It’s Okay to Not Be Okay (she has been begging her to watch it for years now). 

Maddie & Christina cannot rave enough about this drama and how much it pulls at everyone’s heartstrings. The Box Man, the Masked Boy, and the Emotional Princess must be protected at ALL COSTS. This show was just too good and adored by many.

This new drama stars Kim Su-Hyeon (My Lovely Liar, Love Alarm) and Chae Jong-Hyeop (Castaway Diva, Eye Love You). It is about meeting your first love (Shaggytown’s first love) by fate years later.

In this Through Two, Maddie & Christina discuss the two leads, how the plot isn’t the strongest, and are very curious about what will happen next. They also talk ad nauseam about Chae Jong-Hyeop (correction: MADDIE DOES) and how they are looking forward to seeing his character open up more. Flash that sweet smile, Chae Jong-Hyeop!

The review for The Atypical Family is finally here! SHAGGY DADDY FOR PRESIDENT. 

In this review, Maddie and Christina dissect the amazing character development, stunning OST, agree that I-na’s storyline was top-notch, and why they (Christina) love Gwi-Jui so very much. Gwi-Jui carried this show ON HIS BACK. Jang Ki-Yong, you did well, buddy.  

This 12-episode drama kept everyone guessing and wanting more each week. Sadly, this show has ended, but WHAT A WAY TO END, right?

Robot vibes are the best vibes, right? (Especially when the male lead can’t distinguish between a robot and a human.) Maddie and Christina have watched half of I’m Not a Robot and have MANY thoughts. 

The ladies love the leads, but find that everything else not involving them in the drama doesn’t need to be there. The ex-boyfriend is a huge red-flag, Ji-ah needs to advocate more for herself, and Kim Min-kyu with a K should attend a class to help him figure out the difference between robots and humans. 

All jokes aside, the leads are SO likable, and Maddie & Christina are WAITING for them to get together because human Ji-ah is pretty awesome (with her cute short hair, too). 

I’m Not a Robot can be found on Viki. This was a fun episode to record - enjoy!

Christina & Elle watched the first two episodes of Miss Night & Day and they like the premise so far! They love the leads (both young & old Mi-Jin) and find the male lead super swoony with all the umbrella-saving he does. The actress Lee Jung-Eun is doing a phenomenal job acting as twenty-eight-year-old woman.

In this Through Two, the ladies talk about how funny this show is, how they have empathy for the female lead, and contemplate on whether or not they will continue watching the drama since a new murder element has been introduced. 

One thing is for certain: Mi-Jin deserves EVERYTHING. PROTECT HER AT ALL COSTS.

Man gets a female robot for his house, what? Ex-boyfriend makes a robot that looks exactly like his ex-girlfriend, extra what?? Man is intrigued by this robot and likes the physical touch, triple extra what???

While some of the plot points are SUPER questionable, Maddie and Christina are intrigued and can’t say no to an ‘enemies to lovers’ trope.

Word of Advice: Don't marry Ji-Won's husband. ... Maddie, Elle and Christina have a lot of thoughts about Marry My Husband. Were they hooked on the first 11 episodes? Yes. Were they frustrated with episodes 11 - 16? Also, yes. .... The ladies talk about how Min-Hwan and Su-Min stole the show and how they were team "first villians" when Ji-Hyeok's ex-fiance entered the picture. (Why, just why?). They are still bitter that Ji-Hyeok pushed Ji-Won OUT OF HIS HOUSE right after they kissed and felt like it was hard for him to redeem himself after that. They discuss how the story shifted in a direction that didn't seem necessary, how Ji-Won's character drastically changed, and how this show could have been 12 episodes. Period. ... Best part? Reply 1988's ending decisions have left Maddie and Christina with a sour taste in their mouths because of LIPS and his outcome (JUSTICE FOR LIPS IYKYK). Besides that, this memorable drama continues to remain a top contender and has left a lasting impression on many KDrama watchers for all the right reasons. From the mouth of Maddie, their review of this drama is, "We... we.... we liked it? We liked it. Yes, we liked it. We liked it!" In other words, Maddie and Elle totally dug this drama, but it won't come out on top as one of their favs. Maddie fell in love with Kang San but also with he possessed a little more gumption. Elle loved "Dimples" (AKA Yoo-ha) and was glad he didn't turn evil. And both Maddie and Elle were surprisingly pleased with how hot the Watchman turned out to be (ummm hello black triangle hat!!!!)

For real. Listen. Maddie and Christina truly went into Reply 1988 blind and these are their genuine reactions to the first two episodes. They're already shipping Jung-hwan and Deok-sun so hard (bc ya boi has the lips of the century and we all know it) ((like srsly Deok-sun - if you don't kiss them lips, then Maddie will)), Maddie already loves Jung-bong and his many quirks, and they're already wanting to pinch Taek's little cheeks.

We can all admit - BOYS PLANET was a great (and rigged) time!! Thank you MNet for the show none of us needed but all of us secretly have been wanting our entire lives. Maddie and Elle break it all down in this review episode: their love of crazy Reddit stats, reactions to the final 9 being announced (ummm Gunwook hi!!!), favorite moments from BOYS PLANET (p.l.a.n.e.t. c.a.m.p. t.o.u.r.), and recognize a moment of silence for their loved ones who didn't make the cut. (hi keita. hi jay. hi jungwoo. hi p hanbin.) They also share general excitement for ZB1 and pitch the fandom name as Zebras bc it would actually be great. (Ok, after editing, they now know it's actually ZEROSE, but let's be real Zebras woulda been superior.)

Maddie and Hayley try their best to unravel the spinning web that was The Heavenly Idol - and have a lot of fun doing it LOL. Since this drama is so frickin easy to make fun of, they do a lot of that. And they also wish for more Wild Animal moments and ummm the comeback we never got?!! Overall, they decide the show was a fun watch and great for anyone looking for a kdrama but not a very good one. haha.

At this point, I think most of us have heard of the newest KPop survival show: BOYS PLANET. (Most likely because of TikToks from the bad auditions and, y'all, they're true.) If you're on the fence about trying it out, this Through Two will help you get a better grip on what the show is like! Heads up: Maddie frickin loves shows like this, so she's all in, but she also has LOTS of questions because this whole thing is also kind of a hot mess. LOL. (But also vote for Sung Hanbin bc he's the cutest of them all!!! So far after two episodes! HEHE)
