A famous narration certifies this fact and has been explicitly covered by Shaykh Yasir Qadhi. One of the numerous Hadiths that have been discussed in the above talk and that which illustrate the stature of this great Sahabi is elucidated in the following narration: In the battle of Badr, the Prophet ﷺ said on seeing a yellow turban tied around the head of  Az-Zubayr Ibn Al-Awwam “Verily, the angels [also] came down from heaven [to assist the believers] in the appearance of Az-Zubayr”.
