The Seer is absolute knower. Although pure, seen through the colouring of the intellect.
Having thus explained the nature of the object, Patanjali goes on to the question that is at the very heart of the Yoga Sutras
- 'Who is the drasta, the see-er, in this seer and seen equation?'
The seer is nothing but the power of seeing, which, although pure, appears to see through the mind.
