21st Sutra Chapter 2
The nature of the experience exists only to serve the purpose of the Atma.
The seen and the experience exist only for the sake of the Seer.
Using devotee’s language, we might say that the purpose of creation—why life exists at all—is to serve the purpose of its Creator, which we know is the liberation of the individual.
Every circumstance is an experience and an opportunity for learning and developing consciousness, perception and lucidity of the mind, and to realise our true self.

तदर्थ एव दृश्यस्यात्मा

· arth - meaning, purpose
· eva - thus
· drishyasy - of the seen, of the knowable, that which is perceived/experienced
· atma .- self

तदर्थ एव दृश्यस्यात्मा॥२.२१॥ तत् , अर्थ , एव , दृश्यस्य , आत्मा ॥

• दृश्यस्य - (उक्त) दृश्य का
• आत्मा - स्वरूप
• तत् - उस (द्रष्टा के)
• अर्थ - लिए
• एव - ही (है) ।
उक्त दृश्य का स्वरूप उस द्रष्टा के लिए ही है ।
