Gabrielle Zuccaro is the founder and CEO of Bleu Clothing, a local store based in Los Angeles that values excellence and customer service above all else. Gabby was born to work in fashion and it certainly shows. As a child, Gabrielle was fortunate enough to spend plenty of time traveling and living between Los Angeles and Brindisi, Italy. Her experience abroad cemented her love for color, femininity, and fashion. These influences eventually inspired her to start her own business, Bleu Clothing. Gabby believes that women can do anything, all while looking put together. She stands behind the thought that feeling good walking into the world is a very powerful tool. While Gabby is the ultimate feminist, she loves to look beautiful for her husband. She gives her all to her son, Mars, her husband, Fred, her friends, her clients and anything else that crosses her path. She anticipates great things for both herself and her business in 2020.

Lara MacGregor is the founder of Hope Scarves, an organization she created to turn heartbreak into hope after her breast cancer diagnosis at 30 years old and 7 months pregnant. Under her leadership, ‘The Sisterhood of the Traveling Scarves’ has sent over 14,000 Hope Scarves around the globe and invested over $500,000 in Metastatic Breast Cancer Research. Lara has received many awards for her work, including being named to ‘The 100’ most influential people fighting cancer from Mass General Hospital, Small Business of the Year People’s Choice Award for Greater Louisville Inc., 40 Under 40, Citizen Laureate by Younger Women’s Club and Louisville Charity of the Year. She was Louisville’s Most Admired Woman of 2018 and featured in many national publications, including Good Housekeeping and Cure Magazine.

Elsie Escobar is an influencer, podcasting mentor, advocate, pundit, and co-host of She Podcasts and The Feed. Elsie works in the cross-section of technology, digital media and holistic living with a heavy bias on podcast strategy and creative use of audio. A podcaster since 2006, she was one of the first female indie podcasters using audio to teach yoga. In fact, her first podcast, Elsie’s Yoga Class, has now been downloaded over 4 million times! Miriam Feldman is an artist, writer, and mental health activist who splits her time between her Los Angeles atelier and her farm in rural Washington state. She is a mother to four adult children, including her 34-year-old son Nick, who has schizophrenia. With an MFA in painting from Otis Art Institute, Miriam founded Demar Feldman Studios, Inc., a wildly successful mural and decorative art company, in 1988. With a clientele of business and entertainment elite in Los Angeles and abroad, her work can be found everywhere from Wolfgang Puck’s Spago Beverly Hills to Jay Leno’s Beverly Hills home. When her son Nick was diagnosed with schizophrenia in 2004, Miriam became an activist and a writer. With first-hand knowledge of the woeful state of our mental health system, she decided to be an advocate for those who have no voice. Miriam is active in leadership at NAMI Washington and her story is featured on the cover of their current national newsletter. She is a frequent guest on mental health podcasts and is active on Instagram where she is building a community of family and loved ones dealing with mental illness. She currently resides in Washington with her husband Craig.

Erica recently served her ninth and final year as Executive Producer, Showrunner and Head Writer of Criminal Minds, a series that consistently ranked as TV's number one suspense thriller and is listed among a select few shows to have broadcast 300+ episodes over fourteen seasons. In 2018, Erica completed her first documentary feature film, The Biggest Little Farm, after six years of painstaking hard work. The documentary had its world premiere at the Telluride Film Festival in September and has gone on to win many awards at various film festivals, including seven nominations for the Critics' Choice Awards for Documentary Films. Erica is a working mother and very familiar with juggling the demands of Hollywood with those of parenthood. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her family.

Jennifer welcomes to the podcast her very first Anonymous MILF. This week’s anonymous guest is a graduate of USC, a single mother, and a cammer. For those wondering, a cammer is a person who sells their sexuality on camera to someone who pays for it. There are myriad ways to do this and our guest keeps her identity anonymous to her clients. As a single mother struggling to get by after a brutally painful extrication from an abusive marriage, our guest discovered camming by happenstance. Before she knew it, she suddenly had an alternate stream of income to help her get by while she pursues her next career move. Anonymous speaks to the subculture of sex, camming, and turning her hobby into a stream of income to survive and take care of her daughter.
In this episode, Anonymous recalls the journey she took to become a cammer. Jennifer and Anonymous discuss their shared experience as single mothers and the incredibly difficult job that entails. Jennifer welcomes to the podcast relationship and intimacy coach, Katie Henricks. Jennifer welcomes writer, dance artist, filmmaker, entrepreneur, and mother, Lilly Bright. Lilly’s journey through life has been one filled with chance encounters, unexpected experiences and constant change. Originally from West Virginia, Lilly moved to Chicago to study at Northwestern University. Shortly thereafter, she moved to New York, spent time in cooking school in the Berkshires of Massachusetts and moved to Los Angeles. It was there that she started her career in film production, met her husband Evan and started a family. Her film career includes the production and distribution of award-winning films and documentaries under the banners Curiosity Bright Entertainment and Arthouse Films. She regularly teaches the Feldenkrais Method and (soon) Gaga Dance, the movement language of Ohad Naharin.
In this episode, Lilly talks about her journey to find herself, from moving to New York City to spending time taking cooking classes in the Berkshires to starting her own award-winning production company in Los Angeles. Jennifer and Lilly share their own experiences with postpartum depression and raising children. Lilly speaks to the inspiration to start her own solo show, American Standard: A Story of Enough. This original solo show is based on the story of Lilly’s life, chronicling her nearly two-decade battle with bulimia and various “not-enough” demons that propelled her to find the courage to finally feel enough. Jennifer welcomes writer, pediatrician, advocate, and mother of three, Paria Hassouri. Two years ago, Paria was blindsided when her middle child came out as transgender. She now finds herself as a trans-rights advocate, using her voice to spread awareness and resources. She is currently writing a memoir, Found In Transition, about her own evolution during her daughter's transition. Her personal essays have been published in The Huffington Post, The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, Women’s Running Magazine, and Kevin MD. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband and three children.

Called to action by the tragedy of the Sandy Hook elementary school mass shooting, Shannon began a long and arduous campaign. Born to two Deaf parents in Sanford, Maine, MJ is a lifelong learner who excels in the mystical, daily work of connecting others. She is a native user of American Sign Language (ASL), who grew up with a passion for connecting with others through skillful, nuanced communication. MJ's joyful, intuitive nature and instinctual resilience led to a career as a professional sign language interpreter. MJ has worked with Deaf communities across the U.S. and has taught interpreting at the University of Southern Maine. Jennifer welcomes to the podcast costume designer, fashion guru, and proud mother of three, Allyson Fanger. Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Allyson became obsessed with fashion and design at a young age. By age six, she was creating alternative creative outfits for her Barbie dolls out of any fabric scraps she scavenged from her mother’s sewing table. After getting her education and traveling to Southeast Asia, Allyson returned home to Minnesota where she began a career as a commercial stylist. With a few commercials under her belt, she headed West to Los Angeles and never looked back.
While in Los Angeles, Allyson merged her love of fashion and design with a natural talent for understanding character to build the foundation of a successful career in costume design. She is best known for her work on the popular Netflix series, Grace & Frankie, starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. Her other television credits include, The Fix, Nobodies, Hollywood Heights, The Nine Lives of Chloe King, Melissa & Joey, and the feature film, Fun Mom Dinner. Now a three-time Emmy Nominee and three-time Costume Designers Guild Nominee, Allyson still considers her greatest achievement to be mothering her three entirely gorgeous daughters.

A successful marketing executive with a loving husband, Elissa seemed to have the perfect life. Her world changed when she received a diagnosis of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at just 32 years old. That’s when it all changed. She made a promise to herself, her husband, and her future family that she would beat this disease and start to prioritize her mental and physical health through nourishment and love. Jennifer welcomes film producer, children’s author, entrepreneur, and mother of three beautiful daughters, Kimberly Muller. Kimberly is the true embodiment of a renaissance woman. Everything she touches turns to gold, as Jennifer discovers in today’s episode. Kimberly began her career in the film industry, working in publicity and promotions and, eventually, starting her own production company. After successfully producing two independent films, Kimberly retired to start a family. Jennifer welcomes to the podcast orthopedic and women’s health physical therapist, and mother of two, Alicia Willoughby. In her work, Alicia specializes in working with women during pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond childbearing years. She has made it her goal to treat and advocate for mothers who are suffering from orthopedic discomfort and injuries sustained during and after pregnancy. Alicia’s treatment approach combines orthopedic skills and pelvic floor training to treat the whole body. As she can attest from personal experience, no mother should ever experience pregnancy-related injuries that are completely preventable with proper care and attention.
In this episode, Jennifer and Alicia talk all about the pelvic floor of a woman’s body. While men also have pelvic floors and muscles that need attention, it is more common for women to experience trauma and require rehabilitation, especially postpartum. Alicia recalls her own ordeals with pregnancies, including an unplanned pregnancy shortly after the birth of her first child and the miscarriage that ensued.

Jennifer met Aliza years ago at Bang Comedy Theatre, an improv studio that Aliza and her husband used to operate. Nanci Katz is a writer who graduated from the American Film Institute and has written for ABC and Lionsgate Entertainment, along with other smaller projects. After taking a hiatus to raise three kids, Nanci was invited to be part of the Writers Lab in 2016, which is supported by Meryl Streep and Oprah Winfrey. Working with a writing partner, Cylin Busby, their comedy/horror script, Rebecca and Quinn Get Scared was a semifinalist in Bluecat and Script Pipeline as well as a finalist in the 2017 Austin Film Festival. Currently, Nanci is back on writing and is working on three projects.
In this episode, Nanci talks about her experience with postpartum depression, anxiety, and the self-doubt and insecurity she felt while raising her son. She also talks about creating a platform to talk about postpartum depression so that more people are educated about it and the unspoken difficulties of being a new mother. Nanci opens up about dealing with her eating disorder throughout her teens and young adulthood, which was linked to the stress she personally dealt with of “fitting into the role you’re supposed to fit in.” In expressing her fear of disappointment, Nanci sought help and was eventually able to come to terms with herself, express her true emotions, and recognize her self-worth.

Anna Waronker is a singer/songwriter, composer, producer, and the frontwoman for the band, That Dog.
