Welcome to Episode 14 of The Grounded Communicator! In this episode, I’m diving into the intricate nature of my animal communication sessions. I’ll share how my practice has evolved, the reasons behind how I hold my sessions, and what this process looks like from the animal’s perspective. I’ll also explore how other communicators may approach their practices differently.

Throughout the episode, I explore the three distinct phases of my sessions: the open channelling phase where I receive messages from the animal without attachment, the integration of the guardian's intentions and questions for the session, and the final recording of the session that captures the essence of everything that was shared.

I’ll discuss the importance of neutrality and trust—letting animals lead the conversation—and how this approach builds a deeper understanding between animals and their guardians. I’ll also touch on the diversity of styles among animal communicators, emphasizing the importance of finding a session approach that feels aligned for both the communicator and the client.

In this deeply personal and heartfelt episode, I share the transformative journey of Duke—my first horse, greatest teacher, and biggest supporter. Duke’s story is one of resilience, healing, and the power of listening to our intuition and the animals we partner with.

From the moment he came into my life, Duke carried the weight of his past—a history of trauma, anxiety, and the need for a single, devoted person to understand him. Together, we navigated his challenges: his physical and emotional struggles, his coping mechanisms, and his need for a stable, predictable environment.

I reflect on the unique methods we used to build trust and create a true partnership, including animal communication, bodywork, and routines tailored to his needs. Through every step of our journey, Duke taught me the importance of being fully present, of listening deeply—not just with my ears but with my heart—and of putting his needs first, even when it meant sticking out and wading through judgment.

Transitions, like many things, are both inevitable and a natural part of life. However, they can also be complex and deeply impactful for our animals. From moving homes to welcoming or losing herd mates, processing trauma or injury, and even transitioning from physical form, there are many moments when our animals may seek support as they navigate change.

In this episode, I’ll discuss:

In today’s episode, I had the privilege of sitting down with Alex Aubrey Paquette to discuss a Soul Collective session I channelled for "The School Horses" at her family’s farm. During our conversation, Alex and I explored the powerful, higher-perspective messages shared by the horses, including their thoughts on being part of a collective within riding and lesson programs. We delve into the valuable reframes they offer to us as guardians and caretakers, highlighting the importance of contrast and the unique roles each being has in their life. The Soul Contracts we hold with our animals can be some of the most profound, supportive, and life-changing relationships we experience. I am excited to welcome our first guest, Breanne Kerr from Wildwynd Equine. Breanne is a Horse Medicine Leadership Facilitator, Equine Intuitive Bodyworker, Craniosacral Therapist, and Child and Youth Care Practitioner. She is a steward to two horses, three cats, and a dog who are all her coaches in this journey called life.
