077: Sex Toy Entrepreneur, Reveals his Mr. Sloan... (Brian Sloan of VIECI)

Brian Sloan, CEO of Very Intelligent Ecommerce Inc. Brian quit his job as a lawyer to start a sex toy business that generates over $1 million a year, and he did it without office space or full-time employees.

He and his collaborators at Very Intelligent E-Commerce, Inc. have skipped the usual distribution methods, focusing solely on internet sales. The company's most recent product, a sex toy for men (NSFW), launched as an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign. It turned heads and raised over $260,000 ? far more than its $45,000 goal? in the process.

Sloan started as a lawyer, but made a change early in his career that led him to where he is now. "I used to go to garage sales at 6 AM on the weekends and make as much or more money than I was making in the firm. At that point it really became clear that if what I wanted was more money and a fun lifestyle ? working as a lawyer would offer a poor return on my time investment."

067: Find out what this Beer Company is Brewing Up ?... (Jamey Price of Grayton Beer)

Jamey Price is the Founder of Grayton Beer. He hails from Vicksburg, Mississippi, and graduated from the University of Mississippi with an Accounting degree. After graduation (and a stellar baseball career at Ole Miss), Mr. Price and his wife moved to Florida in 2005 to work for a software company. Searching for an opportunity to put roots in the community, Price wrote a 48-page business plan, and Grayton Beer Company was born.

The initial interest in Grayton Beer Company began more than 15 years ago, when Jamey spent a summer break from Ole Miss on Lake Tahoe. This was where he had his first sip of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and was hooked on great-tasting beer. Fast-forward more than a decade through a career in software, a marriage, a move from Nashville to the beach, and a few babies. He and his wife, Candace, appreciate everything about life on the Florida panhandle. This, coupled with his passion for small batch beers, was the perfect recipe to start Grayton Beer Company.
