Adrian Thorpe is a former Major in the British Army and a qualified Ammunition  Technical Officer (ATO) who decided when he left the military that it was time to put his technical training and love of blowing things up to good use - building guitar pedals! While it's not the most direct or common route, Thorpy has translated it into one of the most unique and highest quality pedal brands in the business in ThorpyFX and has additionally lent his expertise to his partnership with musician Mikey Demus in forming Redbeard Effects.

Jesse Honig is obsessive - and I mean this in the most amazing way possible. He has a singular focus for audio integrity and authenticity. He's worked in some incredible studios, on the road for some incredible artists, and that's because he knows audio. Glyn Evans is a New Zealand based guitar luthier and pickup winder with more than 25 years of experience. Glyn studied under legendary guitar repairman Ted Lee where he learned the fine art of guitar repair and pickup winding while studying the City of Leeds College of Music in the North of England.

In 2020 Glyn decided to stop repairing guitars and pursue pickup building full-time. In today's episode we talk about finding the right pickups for me to make my Stratocaster sound like I want it to sound and how the pickup can be so important for the tone of the guitar overall.
