After gifting Lennon with a ‘thigh of bread’ we chat about gig anxiety, standards and expectations and switching from solo to band. Having met Ben at Graham Russell Drums a few weeks ago when he helped skin and tune the ‘Florida Acrolite’ we wanted to quiz Ben on all things skins and tuning. Ben imparts his extensive knowledge on how important good heads are on a kit, how to choose the right head, designs and innovations and what all the different names and letters mean. Ben also uses his role as Percussion Product Specialist to go around to schools, colleges and retail partners to help people in person reskin and tune their drums.
