Forge the Narrative – Warhammer 40k Podcast
Episode 153 is here, download it now! Tournament and Hobby talk all in the same place. Say it ain’t so!
Yo yo,
The more I look at the Order Battletome Sylvaneth I see it screaming at me as a future template for 40k codexes.
Everything about this book attempts to embrace the concept of using the army how you want to do it. Want to pick your warlord trait?? Go ahead. Want to leave your spells up to the dice gods? Roll away.. Or pick.. Up to you.
I really like that. Personally, I think random rolls can be good and create exciting games. But the more competitive we try to be the more that random rolls cause me to pull my hair out. Its a pretty big double edge sword.
I am not going to claim that one way is better than another but I think it is absolutely great that Games Workshop has figured out a way to appeal to multiple sects of gamers all in one book. If this tactic is successful it stands to reason we’d see something similar in 40k.
We have a lot of excitement for the ATC event happening in Tennessee this weekend too. It is hard to hide and we do quite a bit of talking about it in every segment. Good luck to everyone attending and we hope to see you there!
