Have you ever wondered: what is the best song instrument Splitter? Maybe you're seeking answers to the questions: what is the difference between Logic Pro and RipX DAW, how do you separate songs into stems, how do you extract stems from Logic, what is an AI stem splitter or maybe just what is a song stem splitter? Then check out EP 158 of the Inside The Mix podcast.
Can stem separation tools really make or break your music production? Join me, as I put Logic Pro’s stem splitter and Rip-X DAW’s track separator to the ultimate test using my song, "Alive," as our battlefield. I’ll dissect how each tool isolates key elements such as drums, vocals, bass, and other instruments, paying close attention to qualities like snare impact, reverb treatment, and the clarity of cymbals and hi-hats. Discover which software triumphs in delivering cleaner, more precise stems, and which one falls short with issues like Logic Pro's phasy snare.
I'll also zero in on the bass and vocal tracks in this episode to determine the ultimate victor. Hear how Logic Pro’s bass separation, with its mid-range frequency emphasis and somewhat underwater sound, stacks up against Rip-X’s richer, bass-heavy output. When it comes to vocals, see why Logic Pro’s thinner, high-pass filter effect is no match for Rip-X’s vibrant clarity. By the end, Rip-X clinches the win with a 3-1 score, proving its superiority in both bass and vocal stem separation.

We have a lot of tips for you in this week's Producer Pub episode.
We're talking about how to collaborate on music remotely. Collaborating with other artists can be a great way to enhance your reach and longevity in the music industry, but it also requires a lot of preparation and communication.
We discuss how to prepare stems for mixing. It's important that you don't just send a full mix over; instead, send individual tracks so that your collaborators can do their own thing with them. This will make it easier for your collaborators to add their own spin on things, too!
We talk about content marketing and how collaborating can enhance your reach. Collaborating with others can extend your reach and make people aware of who YOU are, which is key in this industry where longevity seems to be the goal for almost everyone involved in music creation. Consistency is key!

First, we'll add a reverse-ride cymbal. To do this, we'll use the Logic Pro X keyboard short-cut to time-stretch and modulate our vocal one-shot sample. Then, we'll automate the cut-off frequency of our pad chord progression.

In this video, I talk with Mike Exeter about essential mixing tips.
Mike Exeter is a Grammy-winning producer and mix engineer. He's worked with artists like Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, and Cradle of Filth, and he's also worked as a freelancer in the studio industry for over 20 years.
He shares his story with me—how he got started working in studios, how to understand an artist's vision and tease out the idea that they're trying to express through music, and more!
We also discuss his experience working in the studio versus freelancing as well as what he thinks modern technology has done for or against musicianship.

This is the third episode in a mini-series of music production tips, and songwriting tips. Whether you're a beginner or an expert, it's always useful to brush up on your skills. And I've got just the thing for you: a quick rundown of some of our favourite tips and tricks for producing killer beats.
First things first: when you're producing a song from scratch, it can be helpful to start with a drum pattern. Here are some tips for getting started:
1. Program a kick drum and snare pattern using the Logic Pro X step sequencer.
2. Program a hi-hat and clap pattern using a step sequence.
3. Write a lead synth arpeggio using Native Instrument's Massixe X, an arpegiator, and Scalar 2.
4. Write a sub-bass using MIDI pattern using ANA 2. Use the ANA2 side-chain effect to modulate a sub-bass and pad MIDI sequence.
5. Improve your bass line with 3rd and 5th notes!

The two have solidified their sound from years of playing and creating music together, forming a telepathic relationship when it comes to building whole musical worlds in which they submerge themselves. In the same year, he contributed an instrumental remix of his 2016 single "Rabbit in the Headlights" to the soundtrack of the mobile game Retro Drive.
On 16 April 2021, Oakley announced the release of a new single, "Is There Anybody Out There", co-written by fellow labelmate Ollie Wride and produced by Jon Campbell of The Time Frequency.

A stereo delay with a 1/4 or 1/8 note delay on one side and 1/4 or 1/8 note triplet note on the other side provides movement along with depth.
For a quick vocal effect, set up a mono 220ms delay with a couple of repeats.
To simulate a vocal double, use a 1/16 note delay and then modulate it so it slowly raises or lowers in pitch.

Year of the Fall is a synthwave/retrowave band that blends nostalgia for the music and movies of the 1980s with the electronic melancholy of modern life.
YOTF features German musician Philipp Kappestein and American writer/vocalist Dan Vaccaro. The two met while living in a volunteer community in Boston, Massachusetts, and within days began making music together. They spent their 9-5 working in the program’s homeless shelter, and in the evenings recorded music on an old computer, originally using a headset microphone to capture vocals. Their first album came under the band name For Tomorrow, and featured acoustic folk-pop music inspired by the likes of Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, Counting Crows, Pearl Jam, and others.
The group’s second album, Love on a Dying Planet, is an eight-song cycle – released one track at a time – that tells the story of star-crossed lovers who discover passion and peril at the end of the world. The band released the first single from the record in May 2022. Fans can follow along with each new segment of the story (and find its corresponding song) at the YOTF’s website (https://www.yearofthefall.com/love-on-a-dying-planet-2022).

Aisle 9's career has spanned over 3 decades working in the UK as a producer. Born way back in the….wait for it…Summer of 69. Worked with hundreds of artists from all genres, starting with the trance, rave, and festival scene of the late '90s and moving through to playing in guitar-driven original bands in the alt-rock and grunge scene of the early '00s.
Now partly driven on by the pandemic, he has finally returned to producing his music once again. His influences are as diverse as Mitch Murder, New Order, Tangerine Dream, The Midnight, Jean-Michel Jarre, Kraftwerk, Daft Punk, Orbital, and William Orbit to name but a few.
An accomplished songwriter, sound engineer, and musician, his music style incorporates lush synths, filtered funky guitars, treated samples, text-to-speech voices, vocoders, driving bass, and killer grooves. There are electronica, synthwave, synthpop, ambient, and EDM elements here.

Daniel Hugh is an 80s-inspired synth-pop producer and artist from Northampton, England. After spending years in rock bands, Daniel embarked on a solo project in 2020 resulting in an acoustic guitar-led EP titled 'Stories Involving Time'.
'Inspired by Immortals' was Daniel Hugh's second self-penned solo release and was a marked change in music direction. It could be described as a cross between Dreamwave and synth-pop. With 80s influences from Cyndi Lauper, Phil Collins and Def Leppard, the synthwave-inspired instrumentation is fused with contemporary songwriting and structure, along with big choruses to create a dynamic and emotive listening experience.
The 5-track EP explores the internal battle between our demons and their better angels, and at times fixates on a desire to find a deeper meaning behind our existence. Mental health, anxiety and pillars of support are recurring themes throughout the EP.
Daniel Hugh is signed to Retro Reverb Records and is currently working on his next EP, which will be out in 2022.

Coming out of Spain in a haze of neon lights, electro-synth pulses, and eighties rock brilliance is Maxthor, a three-piece with a unique and original retro-futuristic sound.
Forging a broad spectrum of influences, Maxthor takes the irresistible echoes of eighties giants like Phil Collins, Billy Idol, and Survivor and filters them through their lens of synth-driven futurist nostalgia. The results are intoxicating; insanely catchy songs, beautifully crafted and drowned in the electronic atmosphere and synthpop hooks. There’s metal, Italo-disco, and retro aesthetics in the mix - it’s a cocktail of sounds that makes Maxthor a truly unique proposition.
