Night Demon Heavy Metal Podcast
This week we continue our series of episodes dedicated to the Early Days of Night Demon. We pick up the story in spring 2012. Brent and John had been jamming Night Demon material while Jarvis played out with his main project, Jeff Hershey and the Heartbeats. Bolstered by John's confidence and steadfast belief, as well as the support of pirate radio station KSSR, Night Demon started gigging again in spring 2012. The setlists of those shows included "Chalice 2," which later became "Satan." During this period, Night Demon tightened up the logo and squeezed in gigs in between the members' very active main bands' live performances. As the calendar moved to fall 2012, Night Demon published their first official bio as they continued inching towards being a serious band. Shortly after the bio was issued, Jarvis went on tour in Europe with the Heartbeats. A chance encounter on a rough night in Spain reminded him that Night Demon was his destiny, even as Brent and John kept the home fires burning for Night Demon in Ventura. The band worked out a cover of Queen's "We Will Rock You" in late 2012 to energize them going into 2013.
