Episode #67 - The Early Years - Part 7 - Record labels and debut video

This week we continue our in-depth investigation of the early years of Night Demon. The story continues in early 2013. Just days after Jarvis decided to quit his day job and devote his full energies to Night Demon, record label interest materializes for 7” vinyl and CD editions of the four-song EP.  Jarvis starts learning the business side, and the band accepts offers from Reinig Records and Shadow Kingdom Records for vinyl and CD versions, respectively.  The band records their first video for the song “Night Demon,” done totally DIY by the band themselves using an early iPad and primitive video editing software.  The worldwide metal press begins to take notice.  The Keep It True Festival comes calling for Night Demon to perform in Germany the following year. Night Demon play more frequent regional shows, growing tighter and better as a live act along the way.  A performance at the Five Star Bar in LA shows the band just how far they have come, how it is possible to make it work as a touring band, and how much technology is helping to spread the word about Night Demon.  That night they meet future roadie Andrew Bansal.  Momentum is building, and there’s excitement in the air …
