En Gold is a furniture brand that specialises in handcrafted pieces made from native materials in the Philippines. The founder, Arielle Thomas, moved her family to the Philippines to be closer to the craft and ensure the pieces were made with justice. The brand's range includes Dali collections made from native timbers, seagrass, and rattan. The craft in the Philippines is untouched by technology, with everything being done manually. The process of creating En Gold's furniture involves hand braiding, hand weaving, hand sanding, hand painting, and screen printing. The brand also uses fossil stone, which is a soft and porous stone that is carved into tiles and used in their furniture.

It's been about a month since Process the Podcast has been back in your ears consistently, and I am LOVING it!
To celebrate International Women's Day last week, premium fashion boutique The New Trend partnered with hospitality venue Beverly Rooftop to curate an exclusive brunch and panel discussion dedicated to championing a cause and supporting the Women’s & Girls Emergency Centre charity. Welcoming female guests from various spheres, including media, influential figures, and trailblazing women in business, the event centred on authenticity, fostering meaningful dialogue, and amplifying female leadership. Aligned with both brand's commitment to philanthropy, the event endeavoured to inspire community engagement and support for impactful initiatives.
I hosted the panel discussion and raised my exhaustion in the pursuit of effortlessness across various facets of life, championing self-appreciation and the recognition of women's achievements. Featuring Emily Gurr, Entrepreneur and Creative Director of @beverlyrooftop, Vanessa Spencer, Brand Director at @tntthenewtrend, and Sally Crinis, Founder of @stella_co_ @weareboxie, the panel explored the nuanced dimensions of female leadership, embracing traits such as softness, compassion, intellect, and empowerment.
In other news, I'm fed up with the Steve's of the world telling me I'm not doing enough, ugh! When did jumping on social media for a quick scroll make me feel so behind? Sorry mate, my agencies not doing $100,000 per month, but I'm incredibly happy and privileged to be where I am. So, I suggest banishing the Steve's, and carving our my own select few people to follow. Bring back the joy of seeing what everyone is up to.
I have recently discovered the pure bliss in print mags too, now that Elle Magazine is back! I love the experience of sitting down without interruptions to be shown a highly curated spread of fashion, trends, though-provoking articles and beautiful imagery. I feel seen and spoken to the way I want to be - finally. Bravo Elle.

Grace O'Neill has big things in store for the comeback of Elle Australia. In this episode, we dive into how she gathered her team of creatives and writers, her thinking behind the traditional print industry and how she's building up the brand of Elle Australia one idea at a time. Her own podcast After Work Drinks is a must-listen for the girls. It's the ultimate 'just feel like I'm hanging out with my friends' podcast, which Grace co-hosts with her best friend Isabelle Truman.
We also muse over the work of Rick Rubin in his super-successful book The Creative Act: A Way of Being. He's inspired us both to re-think the day-to-day creativity and the process of creating something, rather than only looking for that 'stand back and see it' moment when something is finished. Highly recommended.

This episode kicks off with the great Steve Jobs and an interview from the Santa Clara Valley Historical Association, they conducted an unscripted film interview with Steve Jobs in 1994.

I've realised recently, that my inbox has way too much stimulus and it's crippling my creativity. I let all sorts of marketing, intimidating 'grass is greener' style emails, frequent subject lines about 7 figure business and real estate dreams I'm not ready to reach into my inbox everyday, and enough is enough.
I'm taking the month of May to cleanse and reset, and if you want to join me, download this worksheet and we can focus on the now together!

Inside this episode of Process the Podcast, we speak to the creator of Australia's first female-lead dispensary, offering legal access to cannabis. We learn about the inspiration behind the dispensary's design and we hear about the struggle to start her business during COVID, and rejection in the medical profession because they "thought she was a drug dealer". We take a deep dive and learn more about the state of cannabis use in Australia, the importance of getting to know doctors and dispensaries, and the personalised nature of the industry. We chat about the different strains of cannabis, the effects they have on individuals, and how their dispensary specialises in understanding patients' needs and preferences. We also learn about the endocannabinoid system in the human body and how cannabis works to counteract deficiencies. Overall, we better understand the cannabis industry and the personal touches that make it unique.

The importance of copy in a video, and AI first world with Daniella Hendler of Naughty Nancy. This conversation opened my eyes to a lot of branding. I knew about it, but I just hadn't taken the time to really intellectualise and focus on copy and its role. I hope this episode inspires you to take a moment to focus on your own copy, and how you're using it to connect.
In her rapid-fire, she shares so much about the tools she uses inside her agency to create unforgettable copy repeatedly!

In this episode, I'm joined by Mike Knowles. He's a friend, former gambler and performance coach.
We dive into what is a healthy risk. And we begin to break down intuitive, emotional and logical decision-making.
If you've ever felt like you aren't very good at taking risks, or decision-making, the good news is, you can improve.
We lean into how to leave perfectionism at the door and are reminded that if we don't start taking smaller risks, we'll never be ready for the big ones.
Through this chat, Mike mentioned some amazing books too, find them here:
Mike Knowles is the brains behind the 'Build Your Incredible' workshops and is an expert in teaching skills that “you don’t learn at school”.

Interviewing Bruna is such a breath of fresh air. She's not only taken leaps and bounds as a model since arriving in Australia but has given the expectations of fashion brands a real shake-up at the same time. We met via Whatsapp for a job during lockdown - when Melbourne couldn't shoot, but Sydney could. I was on Zoom during the shoot but sent her a personal Whatsapp video the night before to introduce myself, explain the Kmart campaign and why we chose her. It was the start of a beautiful friendship!
In our chat, we cover all sorts of ground, but a few of the shoots we discuss are:

Holly Ryan and her namesake brand are full of love, craftsmanship and integrity. As a brand, they're striving to minimise the impact by creating timeless designs that are inspired by art and nature. How she's grown her company and, most recently, how COVID and a huge curve ball created adversity that's only made her stronger.

A note from Arielle, your host. I apologise for the quality of this episode's recording. All a part of the process, I was caught off guard by my own recording practice, and something went very wrong. This conversation means too much to me to not share, so I've done my best, and we're putting it out anyway!
It basically just sounds like a conversation recorded on Zoom in an echoey room.

Sener Besim is an Australian icon when it comes to luxury retail, he's also the founder and creative director of the luxury namesake brand, Sener Besim. The brand originally came to the market with eyewear and jewellery and continues to expand into new categories, but with one very important retail factor, the brand is built on stillness. Through a very personal journey, Sener came to find his creativity and expression, which directly flows into his brand and products, but there is no traditional production calendar, and no rush to reach the market. I hope you love this incredibly vulnerable and warm episode with Sener and I.

One of the most in-demand Australian photographers Georges Antoni joins me in this episode. We unpack more than I could have ever asked. He takes us back to his unconventional career journey to where he is today and the way he assembles his teams. We dived into his really important perspectives into commercial and artistic brand stories and how down under, we approach things a lot differently to the international brands, mostly due to our upbringing and the Australian way. It’s a way of thinking about things that I haven't really intellectualised before, but I’m really excited and privileged that George did so with me.

There is a saying that Rome wasn't built in a day, but Maxine's process put her on the map after three months!
This podcast was recorded live on International Women's Day at the Pay Pal Melbourne Fashion Festival. My gorgeous guest Maxine Wylde and I sat down to discuss how she grew her following when she decided to go all-in, how she battles off days, and the self-talk she gives herself to get up and go.
At the time of recording Maxine creates content for Instagram, Tik Tok and Youtube. Each has their own flavour and needs different approaches. Maxine and I demystify what each platform needs and what she's noticing in her audiences on each platform, and she gives away tonnes of insight for brands on how to launch, what to post and how to work with influencers!

Ever wondered how some of Vogue's most iconic covers come to be? Ask Philippa Moroney - Vogue Australia's Senior Fashion Editor and Market Director.
Philippa's time at Vogue has seen her create some of Australian fashion's most recognisable editorial looks of the past decade.
In this episode, host Arielle Thomas goes deep with Philippa - a seasoned stylist who's worked with the likes of Christine Centenara and styled celebs like Awkwafina - into the genesis of a cover shoot, her creative process (from how she conceptualises a shoot to what inspires her and the vibe she creates on-set) and how she's navigated the changing nature of the industry in the past two years.
You'll hear from Philippa about how a friend's entrepreneurial venture led to her discover styling as a career, how any given issue of Vogue is approached, planned and executed, what she sees as Vogue's overall purpose and responsibility, and how her 4 year-old daughter is her go-to beauty guru.
Footnote:
In this episode we discussed Pip’s start at Russh, InStyle and her move to Vogue.
Here is the iconic styling work created by British Vogue with Billie Eilish, and a link to Philippa’s work with Awkwafina!
We chat about the Miss Vogue launch, and all the fashion weeks around the world too!
