Dear Feel Love Now Community,
"All that matters is what God wants." These words, spoken by Swami Shankarananda in his final days, hold a profound truth. Our existence—every breath, every moment—is a gift from the Divine. To recognize this is to let go of fear and surrender fully to love.
How can we open our hearts so completely that the Divine flows effortlessly through us? This is the invitation: to serve, to love, and to trust that we are always held by something greater than ourselves.
Here’s one of our favorite quotes from the video:
“One of the things that he [Swami Shankarananda] said that most moved me we read in our rededication of our vows. It’s the statement: ‘All that matters is what God wants.’
“I’ll share with you the context in which he shared that statement. I was with him when he received the news medically that it didn’t look like he was going to remain in the body. He had, prior to that, been completely dedicated and devoted to being here—to being of service as long as he possibly could, as long as humanly it was possible, as long as the Divine made that possible.
“I was with him in that moment when he realized that medically it looked like it wasn’t going to be possible for him to remain in the body. With just as much joy as he had about staying here to be in the body, he instantly said: ‘All that matters is what God wants.’
“So, for each of us, this is the invitation to love ourselves so much that we realize we are held by the Divine always, whether we are here in the body or whether we are leaving the body. It is an incredible gift to be here in the body. Stay as long as you possibly can. Be of service as much as you possibly can in the body.
“And know—if you’re putting this into words, it goes something like this—my life has the value that the Divine gives it. My life belongs to the Divine. I am entirely dependent on the Divine every breath, moment, and heartbeat of my life.
“When you know that, nonseparateness is just here. Love is just here. There’s no conflict. There’s no illusion. There’s no confusion. There is simply, how may I open my heart and allow the Divine to flow. The Divine flows where the open door allows it to flow.”

Dear Feel Love Now Community,
Worry is one of the most harmful emotions we carry. It keeps us entangled, caught in patterns that drain our energy and peace. But how do we untangle this web of thoughts?
The Buddha’s timeless wisdom in the Jata Sutta reminds us that integrity, mindfulness, and discernment dissolve these inner knots. When we turn within, we reconnect with the wholeness of our being, and the tangles of worry begin to melt away.
Here’s one of our favorite quotes from the video:
“One of the most damaging emotions we experience in our daily life is worry. To keep tearing at something that bothers you, that’s to worry. When you repeat old patterns—the same old things over and over that are harmful—that means you are the victim of your thoughts.
When you blame another for what you’re feeling, you are victimizing yourself.’ So, for each of us, what to do if we have been feeling worry either for ourselves or for someone else or for our planet or for anything that we’re aware of in our consciousness.
What to do if we feel this energy of worry? The first thing that you’ll notice is that this is a universal human question because I’m about to share a question someone asked the Buddha. It’s the same question. They said, ‘Tangle within, tangle without. People are tangled in a tangle. And I would ask of you Gautama this: Who can untangle this tangle?’
Here is the Buddha’s response: ‘A person established in integrity, developing discernment and mindfulness, ardent and clear, they can untangle this tangle. Those whose passions, aversions, and ignorance have faded away, for them, the tangles untangled.’ If you’re wanting to look that up, that’s from the Jata Sutta.
For each of us, when we are in contact with our own integrity, our own wholeness of being, it melts away the tangles. For each of us: I turn within and connect with the wholeness of my being.”

Dear Feel Love Now Community,
In this now moment, you have the power to shift your life. Let go of blame, release pain, and allow love to flow. The divine presence within you is always here—offering peace, wisdom, and healing. You are not bound by the past. You are free.
Trust the goodness within you. Love yourself. Love the Divine. And let that love guide your every step.
Here’s one of our favorite quotes from the video:
“Give yourself the gift of stepping back from the energy of regret; stepping back from the energy of blame or judgment; letting go of blaming yourself, judging yourself; letting go of blaming anyone else, judging anyone else.
And say, ‘In this now moment, I have the power to change. In this now moment, I have the power to raise my consciousness and I choose to do this. I am willing to drop pain. I am willing to drop the regret. I am willing to love myself. I am willing to love the Divine. I am willing to trust the goodness and the beauty that dwells in my heart and I’m willing to allow that goodness and beauty from moment to moment to guide me forward.’ The love that creates the whole universe, it’s here within each of us.
Remember how beautiful and powerful each of us is as creators. The moment that I turn to this divine energy within me, that love that creates the whole universe is going to start flowing that love into my life. And so I’m the one who gets to decide: How much love would I like to start flowing into my life?”

Dear Feel Love Now Community,
Karma is often misunderstood as punishment, fate, or something looming over us from past lifetimes. But Swami Shankarananda reminds us that karma simply means action—it is neutral. When we release fear-based beliefs about karma, we can embrace it as a powerful force for creation and transformation.
Instead of wondering what past actions might come back to haunt us, we can ask:
* What would I love to create?
* How can I align with pure Source energy to act from joy and aliveness?
The truth is, we are not separate from the energy of life itself. The same creative force that moves the universe flows through us. In every moment, we have the opportunity to shape our reality with awareness and intention.
Here’s one of our favorite quotes from Swami Nityananda
“In our popular concepts about Karma, there’s a feeling of doom or a feeling of punishment or a feeling of, ‘I might be a victim of something that happened millions of lifetimes ago and I don’t know what it is and it’s going to come and, like, bam me in the face.’ So, let go of that.
One of the things that Swami Shankarananda emphasized was: karma just means action. It’s very neutral. As soon as you understand that it’s neutral, then you can have a freeing, empowering, joyful, exciting relationship to karma because then you’re asking yourself, ‘What would I love to create?’ The pure energy that pours into time and space is here [within us] and I can only act because I am connected to pure Source energy.
This is true for every human on the planet. The moment that I realize that, what I’m doing, then, is simply allowing that dynamic—joy and aliveness and vitality and excitement of pure Source energy—to be creative in pure ways through me.”

Dear Feel Love Now Community,
In every moment, we have the opportunity to open our hearts and attune ourselves to the best of life. By simply turning within and saying, "I am willing to cooperate with the best of life," we awaken our awareness to the divine presence that is always here.
The best of life is not something to seek outside of ourselves—it is already present. It is the breath moving through us, the sunlight warming our skin, the love and kindness radiating from those around us. When we choose to notice and appreciate this sacred interconnectedness, life unfolds in ways beyond imagination.
Let this practice be your invitation to transformation. The more we tune into beauty, joy, and goodness, the more they expand within us.
Here’s one of our favorite quotes from the video:
“Anytime we would love to help ourselves feel or think or know or experience more of the best of life, turn within and open our heart and say, ‘I am willing to cooperate with the best of life.’
And then tune in to: What is the best of life in this moment?’ You’re activating all of your senses and your inner awareness and noticing the best of life in this moment is that divine life is here breathing me. The best of life in this moment is that this glorious sunshine is shining down and it’s pouring down upon me.
So, I’m able to open to this pure life energy. The best of life is that there’s so much light and love and kindness and joy in the hearts of everyone who is in this room and everyone who’s meditating online now and in the future. And then you start to notice you’re interconnected with this network of beauty, this network of goodness, this network of joy. And then what happens is you’re moving from moment to moment in that energy.
The more that you choose to notice and appreciate the best in life, the more the best of life continues to unfold through us. This allows us to self-transform. Each of us has an unlimited capacity to self-transform.”

Dear Feel Love Now Community,
Every challenge we face is an invitation to return to divine awareness. The energy that recognizes resistance is the same energy that has the power to transform it. By staying present and observing our emotions without attachment, we open the door to peace, faith, and clarity. Fear can shift into trust. Frustration can dissolve into acceptance. The moment we choose to reconnect with our true self, we align with the infinite love and wisdom that is always available.
Here’s one of our favorite quotes from the video:
“‘Unless one has realized peace within, where else can one find it?’ [from the Bhagavad-Gita]. This is telling you: peace dwells within you at the core of your being.
So for each of us, the question is: Am I allowing the peace that I am to unfold itself? In my thoughts? In my feelings? In my words? In my actions? Am I allowing myself to live in the frequency of peace? I alone can give that gift to myself. How incredible. And what a gift to give to myself.
So today, this very day, in this now moment, I choose to create peace for myself and I choose to let that current of energy of peace be so pure that it expands. It fills my heart. It fills my body. It fills my mind. It fills my life. And then, guess what will happen? You will notice you are living in a peaceful world.”

Dear Feel Love Now Community,
When we are in touch with our soul, we have everything—peace, joy, kindness. This is the natural state of our being, always available within. Meditation and selfless service help us reconnect with this wholeness, allowing love and serenity to flow effortlessly. The more we align with our true self, the more we experience the fullness of life.
Here’s one of our favorite quotes from Swami Nityananda
“One thing that someone said to me—and the just said it in passing. They said, ‘When I am in touch with my soul, I have everything. I have peace. I have joy. I have kindness.’
That’s healing right there. And so that was the way that that beautiful being expressed it, just naturally. It’s a natural byproduct of meditating. It’s a natural byproduct of practicing Karma Yoga. You come into contact with this energy of wholeness within you.”

The moment we choose to reconnect with our true self, we align with the infinite love and wisdom that is always available.
Here’s one of our favorite quotes from the video:
“If we notice any feeling of resentment or resistance or old thoughts or old feelings or old energy patterns, just notice with neutrality. That energy that is aware through us that’s able to see, ‘Oh, resistance is present or frustration is present or upset is present,’ that’s divine energy that’s giving us that awareness. That same divine energy gives us the ability to Self-transform.
So anytime I notice that, what he’s saying is just be diligent. Keep noticing. From moment to moment, keep noticing and notice that I have the power to change. So, if I notice a feeling of fear, transform that into a feeling of love or faith or trust or confidence. Whatever would be your opposite to fear. I just gave some words—love, faith, trust, confidence—whatever would be your opposite.
If you notice a feeling of upset or frustration, transform that into acceptance, into serenity, into tranquility—whatever would be your opposite to upset or frustration. And so on. Anything that we notice that we say, ‘Okay, this is giving me a feeling of discomfort, this is making me feel like I’m not connected to this divine, perfect energy that’s within me,’ just notice, ‘Oh, I’m feeling disconnected. I have the power to transform that energy, to liberate that energy, and empower me from within to feel connection.
And so, in truth, it’s very, very natural. We meditated on this last week. If we ever feel, ‘I feel lost, I feel lonely, I feel incomplete,’ that’s an indicator that we’re being invited to connect with ourself. We’re being invited to connect with the Divine within ourself. As I connect with the Divine within myself, then I will be able to connect with the good an beauty that dwells in all hearts.”

Dear Feel Love Now Community,
When we say “I am”, we are actively shaping our reality. This teaching, rooted in both Biblical and Yogic traditions, reveals how our words and thoughts connect us to divine source energy. As the Gayatri Mantra reminds us, radiance flows into time and space—just as our consciousness flows into our daily experience.
Here’s one of our favorite quotes from the video:
“So right after the Divine says to Moses, ‘Put off thy shoes from off thy feet for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground,’ Moses asks the Divine, ‘What name do you call yourself?’ And that’s the famous place where the Divine says, ‘I am that I am.”
“Each of us—from the standpoint of the yogic teachings—is participating in that great I am. Each of us is connected with pure source energy. So, the Gayatri Mantra says radiance projects into time and space. We are continually participating in that flow of creative energy.
“Every time we say ‘I am,’ whatever follows the ‘I am,’ we are helping to activate that. And so, just pay attention to your own thought patterns, your own words, the predominating features of what do we add to ‘I am,’ for each of us. There’s an incredible power to change right there in that self-awareness.”

Dear Feel Love Now Community,
Swami Shankarananda offers a profound reminder: we hold the responsibility for how we respond to life’s experiences, and within that responsibility lies the power to transform them. In this meditation with Swami Nityananda, we explore the deep connection between self-awareness and liberation from suffering, drawing inspiration from the timeless teachings of Yogic and Buddhist traditions.
Here’s one of our favorite quotes from the video:
“Swami Shankarananda says this, ‘Since I’m responsible for every reaction I have to life, that means I have the power to change my reactions.’
He also says, ‘When do you suffer? The moment you forget that there’s only one power and that’s all God power.’ He also says, ‘So long as you don’t know yourself, you’re going to suffer.
So long as I don’t know myself, I believe there is something other than myself that determines how I feel.’ So, for each of us, we’re giving ourselves the gift of the power to change. The teachings in the Yogic tradition and also in the Buddhist tradition—in many traditions—are all about this.”

In this episode, Swami Nityananda weaves together teachings from Krishna, Lahiri Mahasaya, the Bhagavad-Gita, Patanjali, Swami Shankarananda, and the Buddha to help us deepen our understanding of how we are so much more vast than this individual lifetime. She describes how this awareness—which sees from the perspective of our soul—can see beyond the separate self and move beyond stress, constraint, and feelings of sadness and trauma and transform from the feeling of “I’ve got to figure this all out myself” to “I feel God’s presence with me and God's support in this.”If you’re reading this in your podcast feed and have not subscribed yet to our official newsletter on Substack, Feel Love Now with Swami Nityananda, consider subscribing for a lot more content like this.

Dear Feel Love Now Community,
In the seventh chakra, sahasraram, we realize we are immortal beings. By sitting at “the mystic thousand-petaled lotus,” the crown chakra, we unfold bliss, bliss consciousness, and limitless, unconditional love in our lives.
In this episode, Swami Shankarananda describes what might be blocking our hopes and dreams from becoming reality and how to live a life of Self-realization—that it doesn’t happen outside of us or in the future, but from within.

About the Series
Excerpted from a beloved series entitled Kriya Yoga: Inner Path to God, these talks on the “spiritual science of Self-enlightenment” were presented live by the founder of Awake Yoga Meditation, Swami Shankarananda, before he left the body in 2014. Each talk beautifully describes the function of each of the seven chakras in the process of Self-unfoldment and shares some specific techniques that you can use right now to either enhance your existing meditation practice or prepare for your own Kriya Yoga journey.
Dear Feel Love Now Community,
In the sixth chakra, ajna, we see the first glimpse of bliss. Clarity comes and we listen to our inner guidance. We begin to understand that there is something within us that is immortal, eternal, and beyond limitation. We become empowered to let go of negative attitudes, habits, and emotions and no longer find negativity to be to our advantage.
In this episode, Swami Shankarananda, Swami Nityananda’s teacher and founder of Awake Yoga Meditation, describes how vibration permeates everything, why self-inquiry is so important, and how our focus helps bring about what we want to experience in our lives.

Dear Feel Love Now Community,
The fifth chakra, visuddha, holds our power of freedom of choice. It can lead us towards awareness of our highest self and pure consciousness (pure thoughts) or it can lead us into false pride (impure thoughts). Swami Shankarananda describes how we can choose healing instead of pain, freedom instead of bondage, and compassion instead of suffering.
