In this episode, Amir talks about the intense persecution faced by Christians in India, the challenges of smuggling and distributing Bibles, and the various efforts to support and protect new converts and vulnerable children from exploitation.
Amir works directly with Crossway as a part of our ongoing One Million Bibles Initiative. Over the last two years, more than 875,000 Bibles have been funded through our One Million Bibles Initiative. By God’s grace, 656,000 Bibles have been distributed to ministry partners in 27 countries throughout the Global South, with the remaining 219,000 copies in the process of being distributed. Would you prayerfully consider a gift to help distribute God’s Word to those with little or no access? Every $40 you give delivers 10 copies of the Bible to Christians in need. The overall goal of the One Million Bibles Initiative is to distribute one million Bibles in the Global South. Our objective is to finish the funding for this initiative by December 31, 2024, to support the printing and distribution of the final 125,000 Bibles. A generous donor has agreed to match gifts dollar for dollar, up to $250,000. In partnering with us, your gift will have double the impact and help us surpass our overall goal to distribute one million Bibles.

Today, we are pleased to offer you the first chapter of Andrew Wilson's book 'Remaking the World: How 1776 Created the Post-Christian West'.
In 'Remaking the World', Andrew Wilson highlights 7 major developments from the year 1776—globalization, the Enlightenment, the Industrial Revolution, the Great Enrichment, the American Revolution, the rise of post-Christianity, and the dawn of Romanticism—and explains their relevance to social changes happening today. Carefully examining key documents and historical figures, Wilson demonstrates how a monumental number of political, philosophical, economic, and industrial changes in the year of America’s founding shaped the modern West into a “WEIRDER” society: Western, Educated, Industrialized, Rich, Democratic, Ex-Christian, and Romantic. This thoroughly researched yet accessible book offers a unique historical perspective on modern views of family, government, religion, and morality—giving Christians the historical lens they need to understand today’s post-Christian trends and respond accordingly.

For millennia, Christians around the world have embraced the Bible to be the inspired, authoritative word of God given to his people for their salvation and spiritual nourishment. But where did we get this book that we hold in our hands? What do we know about the original manuscripts? How was the text passed along from generation to generation? And who even decided which books should be in the Bible? In the interview today, two Bible scholars who've spent years thinking, writing, and presenting on these important issues, John Mead and Peter Gurry, provide insight into these questions.

Who is Jesus?
Our world has all kinds of opinions about the most famous person in human history. Some say he was a great moral teacher, a prophet, an advocate for social justice, while others consider him a revolutionary. As Christians, we have an answer - Jesus is Israel's Messiah, God in the flesh, the Savior of the world - but we too sometimes harbor unbiblical ideas about Jesus, viewing and presenting him in ways that don't do justice to the picture that we see in scripture.
In our interview today, Rebecca McLaughlin discusses with us common misconceptions that people have about Jesus and why it is futile to try to put him in a box. Rebecca is a writer, speaker, and author of numerous books, including Confronting Jesus: 9 Encounters with the Hero of the Gospels
