Ghetto Klown (2014) is Leguizamo's 5th one-man show. He tells the stories of his journey through Hollywood, and for a couple of losers in Melbourne who made a podcast dedicated to his filmography, what a treat to hear about how he built his career.

Frankie the squirrel stars in this 2015 animated comedy titled "Get Squirrely" - which may just be the most difficult film title in history to say in an Australian accent.
Frankie the squirrel sets off on a mission to take back a bunch of stolen acorns. In order to do this, he must compile a team of friends to help him. It's kind of like "Oceans 11" except instead of A-list Hollywood actors, it's a bunch of woodland creatures.
John Leguizamo voices multiple characters in this movie, which was a lovely surprise.

This film tells the story of Pestario - a goofy scam artist that owes money to the Scottish mob. With the hope of winning $50000, he agrees to take part in a bizarre hunting game presented to him by an insane German who plans on killing Pestario and mounting his head to add to his collection.

This week, Mish and Zach watched "Fish N Chips: The Movie" - an animated film from 2013 directed by Dan Krech.
It's a film about a fish named Fish and a cat named Chips who are both dealing with some deep generational trauma surrounding the ownership of a small bone on a string that they wear like a necklace. Fish's ancestors stole the bone from Chip's ancestors after literally eating them. Chips desperately wants to get the bone back so that he can return it to his family, but Fish is being a little bitch about it.

This week, we watched the second episode of "Waco: The Aftermath". We continue to learn about the the pre-Waco siege period to help us understand what ia going on in the post-Waco siege period.
Lois is super horny for Vernon and together, they do private kisses. Vernon's influence and power within the cult is growing.
Michael Shannon raids the home of a far-right white supremacy group.
A skinny man named Tim decides to bring down the government along with his other skinny mates.
Giodaddy Ribisi is confronted by mike Brady from The Brady Bunch movies while he is taking a piss and it's possible that he can help him with his case.
John Leguizamo was in the opening credits. That's it.

So excited for this one! We loved watching "Waco" around 47 years ago (episode 9 of this silly podcast), so when we saw that in 2023 "Waco: The Aftermath" would be hitting out screens, we all thanked the Leguizamo Gods for looking down on us and saying "Ok, you pair of weirdos. Have a little treat."
"WACO: The Aftermath" episode 1 is the first of 5 episodes in a series directed by Drew Dowdle and John Erick Dowdle. It tells the ongoing story of the chief negotiator of the original Waco siege, it follows the court case of a bunch of the members of the cult that got out alive and it also give a little prequel which gives us a tasty little insight into how the cult leader joined the cult and rose to the top. Basically, the aftermath. It's an honest series title.
John Leguizamo plays the same bloke he played in 2018's "Waco" and he gets another really cool reveal.

"Fugly!" is a 2014 comedy written by Kathy Demarco and John Leguizamo. This movie is loosely based on many of John's life experiences.
It tells the story of Jesse - a man so ugly that he has to rely on comedy to get through the increasingly difficult happenings of his life. Jesse makes the decision to take his own life, but not before he creates a video memoir recorded on his laptop.
John plays Jesse. Jesse loves performing and having sex with women in public places.

This week, we've got the amazing comedian/writer Ashley Apap in the studio with us to talk about the 20th episode of the 3rd season of Disney's kid show "Elena of Avalor".
This a cartoon about a princess and her free-loading blonde friend. There's a bunch of bad people who release a giant into the world... presumably to kill the princess... which is so dark.
John Leguizamo plays Tziloco, a crystal bar that can make magic things happen and has glittery wings.

The director of 1984's "Mixed Blood" is Paul Morrissey. He is best known for having made crazy, camp and kitsch films. This particular film tells the story of a Brazilian gang of drug dealers in Manhattan led by an alpha-female mother-type. It's really vibey and strange.
John Leguizamo plays a young guy playing basketball. He's on screen for about 3 seconds. This the the first feature film to feature out matrixes Johnny Legz.

Leguizamarama is thrilled to be joined by Greg Larsen this week! He is a phenomenal comedian, writer, actor and podcaster and genuinely one of the most talented people we know. To show him our appreciation for coming on the pod, we made him watch a failed pilot from 2012 titled "The King of Van Nuys" which is one of the most bizarre things we've watched in the history of Leguizamarama.
"The King of Van Nuys" is an American remake of the extremely popular British sitcom "Only Fools and Horses." It tells the story of brothers Del and Dustin. Together they try a bunch of get-rich-quick schemes, but we only have the chance to see one of them because after the pilot was released, the show was dropped. Dropped hard.
John plays the slick, wise-cracking Del. His grandfather is played by Christopher Lloyd who is known for playing the role of Doc Brown in the "Back To The Future" trilogy. If you didn't know this fun fact about Christopher Lloyd, you best believe that "The King of Van Nuys" will remind you about 47 times throughout the 22 minute episode.

"Point of Origin" is a 2002 television movie based on a true story about a serial arsonist named John Orr (played by Ray Liotta EXCUSE ME!?) who spends the entire movie lighting stuff on fire and trying to cover his tracks.

To celebrate the commencement of 2024, we thought we'd watch a YouTube clip from the mid 90s and dedicate an entire podcast episode to it. Very normal behaviour.

When we mention the "Ice Age" franchise, who is the first person you think of? Is it comedian, writer snd improvisor Ben Russell? Of course it is! And this week he's joining us in the studio for as very festive episode.
"Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas" is a 2011 television special that tells the story of that little squirrelly ratboy and his stupid acorn, Sid the sloth ruining Christmas for all of his friends, and one of the worst Santas to ever grace our screens. No offence. There's dance, song and a bunch of references to modern Christmas tropes that didn't exist 2.6 million years ago.

This week, we watched another episode of Netflix's Bloodline - Season 2, Episode 7 for those of you who are invested in that sort of thing.
Coach was meaner than expected and his wife is now really suss on him. John Leguizamo is mad about being bashed up. Velma is still being a sneaky lawyer.
We are, however, 99% sure that coach killed his brother. WHAT A TWIST... unless we're wrong, obviously.

Bloodline-arama continues this week as we chat about Season 2, Episode 6 or Netflix's Bloodline.
We know for a fan that Kyle Chandler is dodgy - we're assuming it's drug related. Velma from Scooby Doo is acting very suspicious, but to be fair... so is everyone. Sissy Spacek is accused of killing Danny but that's probably not a literal thing. Who is Kevin?
John Leguizamo is in full menace-mode. He knows something about Kyle Chandler and ends up getting basked by Kyle because of whatever it is that he know about him.

Trying to figure out what is going on in a television series when you haven't watched 1.5 season of the show is really tricky, so we've got comedian/writer Gemma Caruana with us this week to help us out.!
We watched Season 2, episode 5 of Netflix's "Bloodline" - the second episode we have watched of this series.
The guy who was dealing the drugs has gotten out of trouble because Velma from Scooby Doo is a lawyer. The emo kid is probably Ben Mendelsohn's son. Sissy Spacek is still dealing with the shower problem from the last time we saw her in this series.
John Leguizamo plays the same guy as the last episode.

Carlito's Way is a 1993 crime drama film directed by Brian De Palma. It tells the story of Carlito Brigante (Al Pacino), a former convict who struggled to escape the underworld of New York City. In this video, John breaks down his most iconic roles and also discusses his role in "The Power." As this was released in 2023, it's hard to tell if his role in "The Power" will actually be iconic, so we're assuming he mentioned it in order to promote it.
We learnt heaps of fun facts about Johnny Legz in this video! We also talk about Warm Milk Movies.

The cast is stacked, the music is amazing and it's very full on. Also, Danny Devito is there which we LOVE, although we suspect they used a stand-in from time to time... maybe...
John plays Pepe. He is Harry's boxing coach and he has a little moustache.

We've hanging out with Michelle Brasier on the pod this week! She's a national treasure, an absolute superstar and a lover of Leguizamarama.
"Empire" is an action/drama movie set in New York (released in 2002 but was definitely filmed in 2001.)
It tells the story of Victor, a self described Latin Hustler who makes his money selling cocaine for Isabella Rossellini surrounded by a tight group of friends and his adoring girlfriend. Life is flipped upside-down for Victor when he meets a rich and successful Peter Sarsgaard and is offered a job with all of his fancy city boys.
John plays Victor, the lead role OH MY GOD.

Finding Your Roots is a show on PBS (which Zach thinks is very cute) in which a nice fella sits across from a celebrity with a big book full of information about their history and their DNA.
This week, we watched the episode that stars John Leguizamo (obvs) and Lena Waithe.
John Leguizamo plays himself, finding out info about himself.

This week, we're joined by the insanely talented and hilarious comedian/writer/producer Maggie Looke. She's so much fun... so we gave her a deeply depressing movie to watch.
'Nancy' is a 2018 drama film directed by Christina Choe, starring Andrea Riseborough and featuring John Leguizamo and Steve Buschemi - a delicious character actor pair-up, we reckon. Neither John or Steve are ever in the same scene together in this film, but knowing that they are both there fills us with an electric joy.
The movie tells the story of Nancy, a mysterious and sad woman who has made a habit of making up elaborate lies about her life - both online and with the few people she interacts with in her real life. One day, she sees a television interview with a couple whose child went missing over 30 years ago. Nancy takes it upon herself to tell this couple that she is their long lost daughter.
John plays Jeb - a reader of Nancy's blog full of lies. He is in this film for two scenes, totalling about 4 minutes of screen time.

Meadowland is a 2015 drama about the saddest shit imaginable. It's beautiful, but it's heavy as.
This beautiful and seriously depressing independent film directed by Reed Morano tells the story of a couple played by the lady from House and the brother of the guy from Wedding Crashers whose lives fall apart after their child goes missing.
John plays Pete, a man in a support group who's grieving the loss of his daughter.
There is no lightness in this film, so we spend a long time talking about the differences between Nerds and Losers.

We invited the LEGEND that is Matt Stewart (Do Go On, Who Knew It With Matt Stewart) to join us on our podcast this week! We asked him to watch the 2014 drama 'Cymbeline' and we didn't tell him it was in full Shakespearean language. Sorry, Matt.
Cymbeline is a Shakespearean tragedy (or is it!?) about a powerful man named Cymbeline who hates his daughter's boyfriend so much that he decides that he wants to kill him. He would prefer it if his daughter married her step brother. Full on shit happens because of this.
In this 2014 adaption of a classic 1600's Shakespearean text, Cymbeline (Ed Harris) is in a bikie gang and all of the fights happen in a local carpark. It's so cooked.
John Leguizamo plays Pisanio, Cymbeline's right-hand-man and protector. It's John's 2014-2018 era so he wears lots of tight clothing and has facial hair.

Episode 9 is the final episode of the first season of the television show we've been talking about for over two months now that stars John Leguizamo and Toni Collette- a pairing that still blows our mind.
That nun died which has caused a divide amongst the girls. Allie is protected by her 'followers' and together they transfer their powers to the rest of the nuns. What a weird couple of sentences.
Bernie did it. We all saw that coming.
Toni Collette shocks her political opponent with her magical eel powers when she is provoked by him when he exposes personal details about her family.
Tatiana releases Tunde from prison and in return gets a bunch of information about her sister's whereabouts.
John Leguizamo still plays the dad. So well. We really do like him.
Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Episode 8 of The Power OOOO AHHHH. At the convent, tension starts to rise for the girls when they see Eve/Allie's true identity. Roxy gets a bunch of money from her dad when she turns 18 (which is sick), but a visit to her mum's old work leads her down a dark path. Muriel and Daddy Legz continue to struggle in their marriage as it slowly goes down the path that Mish really didn't want to see happen. The morally grey aspects of the whole Eastern European dictator's wife thing gets even darker and it's so full on, but also cool to watch.
Johnny Legz still plays daddy, but he's mad and sad and frustrated.
Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
In episode 7, season 1 of Amazon Prime's "The Power", Roxy teaches a bunch of young women how to harness their power and use it effectively. Tatiana and her assistant dance around and play dress up but then things get super full-on. Moana's boyfriend reveals that he was born intersex and now has the power. Together, they blow up fairy lights. A lot of heavy shit is going on with Allie and the voice in her head. She becomes a kind of cult leader and pisses off all of the nuns.
John Leguizamo is only in this episode for 2 seconds during a flashback scene... BUT HE'S STILL THERE!
Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
This week, we watched episode 6 of The Power. It's titled Sparkle Fingers which sounds super fun, hey?
This episode is loaded with plot. The anonymous online troll continues to grow an influence whilst negative feelings towards the women with the electric organs continues to deepen. Meanwhile, various characters toy with disclosure, including Margot the mayor who is forced to do a test in the workplace.
John Leguizamo continues to play Margot the mayors husband. He's less supportive now but it's still super dynamic and we still really love him.
Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
In episode 5 of The Power starring two of the greatest actors of all time, we learn heaps more about Tatiana - the wife of the old rich guy that Mish only recently realised is in politics. There's also a sex trafficking ring that stops taking in girls out of fear that the women's powers are getting too strong.
Meanwhile, Toni Collette (WE LOVE HER) is the face of a movement in support of the women and their powers all whilst her son turns into Andrew Tate.
Johnny Legz is offered an obscene amount of money to help develop and push a drug that will kill off this electric organ in these women.
What follows is one of the most real depictions of a fight between a married couple in television history.
If we haven't made it clear at this point, we really like John Leguizamo.
Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
This week, we watched episode 4 of The Power on Amazon Prime. Loving it, by the way.
This episode is about 3 of the characters. Tunde, the Nigerian journalist, goes to Saudi Arabia to film and witness on the uprising of women with the power. Roxy, the British gangster girl that Mish loves, seeks revenge on the men who killed her mother. Allie (the one with the voice of God in her head that sounds like Angela Bassett but isn't Angela Bassett) starts to discover the full extent of her new powers. It has a Grimes song and a Velvet Underground song.
John Leguizamo was technically in the episode because of the "previously on" section at the start, but other than that.... nothing.

The third episode of the first season of Amazon Prime's The Power opens with a big plane crash. Mayor Margot goes to assess the crash but the big, sexist governor tells her to fuck off. How dare he. Toni Collette is an icon.
The crazy electric hands in teenage women seems to be spreading rapidly and everyone is starting to panic. Politicians around the world try and convince everyone that it is a hoax, but Johnny Legz and Toni Collette do a massive MRI on their eel-daughter and discover the truth.
John Leguizamo continues to play the ultimate Daddy.

This week, we watched episode 2 of The Power on Amazon Prime. We learn more about the 20 characters we met last episode. We also meet about 20 more characters and it's very full on. We also meet Mayor Margot (Toni Collette - an actual icon), the mayor of Seattle. We follow her as she starts to suspect that all these random electricity related crimes involving teenage girls might be connected.
John Leguizamo plays Dr Rob Lopez - a sweet dad with a grumpy daughter. He is married to Toni Collette and this is the most exciting pair-up in television history.

"The Power" is a British drama/thriller series based on the novel of the same name by Naomi Alderman.
In the first episode of this series, we are introduced to about 500 characters with the vast majority of them being teenage girls. These young women are scattered throughout the globe and seemingly have no connection to one another... except they can all shoot electricity out of their hands and chests.
One girl blows up a lamp post, one girl goes to a wedding and one girl discovers that she's an eel.
John Leguizamo plays someone in this series. We only saw him for about 1.5 seconds and there was no description of who he was, but we reckon he's probably a dad. He had a dad-vibe.

In a commercial on Youtube titled "Papa John's commercial 2022 USA", we are encouraged to purchase and enjoy Papa John's new New York style pizza - it is both stretchy and thin. The commercial includes a voiceover by John Leguizamo (who is our favourite character actor.)
We learn how to properly eat a pizza. We learn what a consumer should be looking for when seeking out a New York style pizza. We learn to always choose Papa John's over all the other competitors.
John Leguizamo plays an enjoyer of Papa John's. He is enthusiastic, believable and fully from New York.

Six hours into Mish's 24 hour live stream, we watched the 2022 Papa John's commercial for Papa Bites. We discover that there are three new flavours of Papa Bites - two savoury and one sweet.

Oh, this one is a good one! What an absolutely bizarre film! We invited the phenomenal comedian/writer Grace Jarvis along to help us unpack this rom-com about brutal murder.
"One For The Money" is a 2012 sexy, comedy, crime film based on the book of the same name written by Janet Evanovich. The book is the first in a series featuring the character of Stephanie Plum. As of 2021, this series of books features 28 full length novels, 4 holiday novellas and a short story in a compilation of the authors work. The film, as of 2023, is stand alone.
It stars Katherine Heigl from "Grey's Anatomy" as a tough New Jersey woman of Hungarian/Italian decent. She loses her job as a lingerie salesman at Macy's so, naturally, she becomes a Bounty Hunter. Her first job is to find the super sexy former cop who is a suspect in a heartless murder... but, in a whacky plot twist, this sexy ex-cop took her virginity! Also, her boss is her cousin who tried to kiss her once. Cooked.
John Leguizamo plays the owner of a gym and the coach of a vicious man who may have witnessed the murder of an innocent woman.
This sounds really dark, hey? Yeah... except that it's a rom-com....

We're a podcast that is currently reviewing a successful podcast. The successful podcast is titled "Batman: The Audio Adventures" and John Leguizamo voices The Riddler in it. We love John Leguizamo.
In episodes 7&8 of season 1, The Riddler makes some prank phone calls, The Penguin keeps getting mad at people who talk about Penguins, Catwoman goes into business with Two Face, Two Face only orders food in sets of two and Seth Meyers is there.

This week, we listened to episodes 5 and 6 of podcast "Batman: The Audio Adventures." We're not entirely sure what happened during these episodes - we definitely listened, but we're both deeply confused.
We touch base with all of the villains. It's set around Valentine's Day. Riddler has writer's block. Harvey Dent shuts down Penguin's casino.
John Leguizamo still voices The Riddler, of course. We really like John Leguizamo.

Lets review a podcast series, Legz fans! And if we're going to review something Batman related, we best kick it off with The Batman Boy, aka. the hilarious Mark Bonanno from a small sketch comedy group called Aunty Donna.
In episodes 3&4 of HBO produced podcast "Batman: The Audio Adventures", Gotham is dealing with some illegal stuff. Stuff like robberies. Robberies done by Catwoman, a woman who is also a cat. The Penguin loves birds but hates being told he looks like one. He wants to throw a big party. The Riddler escapes from Arkham Asylum. He's so smart and scary. Reporter Vicky Vale wants to work with Catwoman. Is she crazy!?
The whole thing was a pretty confusing.
John Leguizamo voices The Riddler. He was in these episodes for about 6 seconds, but he smashes it, obviously.

"Where God Left His Shoes" is depressing. It tells the story of Frank Diaz as he traverses New York with his stepson, desperate to get a job on Christmas Eve with the hopes of scoring an apartment after months of sleeping in shelters with his family.
John Leguizamo plays Frank Diaz.

"The Full Cognitive Redaction of Avery Bullock by the Coward Stan Smith" is the 17th episode of the 8th season of Seth Macfarlane's animated sitcom "American Dad".
Stan (the American Dad in "American Dad") works for the CIA. He is informed that his boss needs to have his memory erased because he's showing early signs of dementia. Stan's son Steve is being bullied at school and decides to take the matter into his own hands. There's a talking alien in there too and some catchy songs. Pretty cooked show, really.

This week, we are joined by the outrageously talented actor/comedian Dougie Baldwin - it's a Christmas miracle!
"Nothing Like The Holidays" is a 2008 Christmas movie that we've already watched, but we're still keen to chat about it. It's a film about a Puerto Rican /American family that are coming together to celebrate Christmas. Like most families, some crappy things are happening within their unit. Stuff like infidelity, differences in opinion and the war.
It's got heaps of great actors in it. It's perfectly cast and we're genuinely happy to watch this film every year during the festive season, ho ho ho.
John Leguizamo plays the same guy he played the last time we watched this film.

"Violent Night" is a 2022 American Christmas/action/comedy film about Santa Clause fighting mercenaries who have taken a wealthy family hostage in their home.
The film tells the story of a bad Santa type, played by "Stranger Things" daddy, who is later revealed to be the real Santa... but a kind of bad Santa... sort of... as he only does the bad stuff to bad people, which kind of makes him a good Santa.
John Leguizamo plays the most bad person in the whole film. He is the main bad guy. What a joy. The Leguilution is truly upon us.

If you're going to review a film, you might as well do it with comedian/writer/film critic/absolute legend, Alexei Toliopoulos!
The film "The Menu" was released worldwide in November 2022, which is the same month that this episode was recorded - a first for Leguizamarama!
"The Menu" is a dark comedy/thriller. It is the story of a world renowned chef who owns and operates a small, exclusive and expensive restaurant on an isolated island with no reception.
On this particular evening, a small group of privileged members of society arrive on the island by boat to take part in an exciting, bougie and pleasant evening of food and theatrics. Theatrical, yes. Pleasant, not so much!
John Leguizamo plays an ageing actor, desperate to hold onto his fame and notoriety. It's so fun to watch.

In the 9th episode of the 1st season of "The Adventures of Puss in Boots", Jack Spratt steals some fancy magic boots. This sets off a series of unfortunate events, all of which need to be established, executed and dealt with within a 17 minute period.

The film tells the story of Manolo Bonilla - an unscrupulous journalist from Miami who is in Ecuador to report on the impact of a serial killer known as The Monster of Babahoyo. Lots happens. Lots of stuff about challenging ethical journalism. Lots of stuff about murder. It's dark. We honestly can't say much without spoiling the film.
John Leguizamo plays Manolo, the journalist. He speaks in Spanish for about 95% of the film which is equal parts impressive and hot.

True Leguizamo fan and genius funny person, Jude Perl, joins us this week to chat about "Summer of Sam" - Jude's favourite Legz movie!
"Summer of Sam" is a 1999 drama/thriller directed by Spike Lee. The film is set in New York in 1977 - right in the middle of a sexual revolution. New York is haunted by a deranged serial killer that is infamously known as Son Of Sam. Vinny (play by John Leguizamo) is an Italian/American hairdresser that has the misfortune of seeing some of the serial killer's victims after narrowly escaping the killer himself. Vinny and his mates (along with the entire neighbourhood) become deeply invested in finding Son Of Sam... but also manage to find plenty of time to do lots of drugs and have lots of sex with various female character actors from the 90s.

John agreed.

"Vacation" is a short film created, produced and staring "Flatbush Zombies", an American rap/hip-hop group from Brooklyn, New York.
The short film opens with the three Flatbush Zombies members having a chat over sandwiches in a diner. They chat about how they can make their upcoming music the best music they have ever created. Throughout their conversation we see flashes of music videos (presumably to help promote their upcoming songs) that feature glittery bottoms and nature in winter. As they discuss how they are going to make amazing music, they are joined by Lin Manuel Miranda, Ice-T and our mate John Leguizamo. They relentlessly encourage the members of the rap trio to stay authentic, whilst also kind of teasing them in a fun little way.

It's been a big three and a half months for us over here at the Leguizamarama headquarters. Three and a half months of doctors, nurses, surprise pregnancies, monkey babies, Shane West wanting to be in a boy band, naked Shakespeare, Christmas parties held in basements, Sara Gilbert, witty one-liners, fights that never get resolved, medical professionals having sex with each other, memory loss, alcohol addiction, pissing on a taxi and Johnny Legz in crisp scrubs.
This week, we talk about "ER-arama" and say goodbye to the medical drama that stole our hearts.

And Just Like That, we are given the gift of Season 12, Episode 21 of "ER" - the final episode of "ER" to feature John Leguizamo.
Together, we have watched the wobbliest character arch to ever be put on our TV screen as we follow Victor Clemente's journey through the Emergency Room of Chicago's County General Hospital.
Throughout this episode, we see Clemente slowly lose his mind. He has dark circles under his eyes, he hasn't slept in weeks, he gives bad advice on how to treat the patients, he pisses on a taxi and he has a number of hallucinations.
In the end, he is put in a wheelchair and wheeled to a psych ward by Practical Magic as Sara Gilbert looks on in disbelief, taking the Best-Character-Actor-On-ER reigns from Johnny Legz for season 13 of the infamous medical drama.

"No Place To Hide" is episode 19 of season 12 of "ER."
It's an episode in two parts. Part one is like a normal episode of "ER". Liar Liar does an 'I Am Sam' plot but with dementia. The weird, funny dude is grumpy to the sexy, mean surgeon and then the sexy, mean surgeon kisses him because that's how lust works. Clemente is slowly losing his mind because Bobby is sending him threatening letters with dead fish in the envelope. For some reason, Clemente won't alert the authorities or tell anyone about his problems. Sara Gilbert is there too.
Part two is some full of Darfur stuff.
Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
"Lost In America" is the title of the 17th episode of the 12th season of the same medical drama we have been watching the last few months.
Clemente has passed his drug test and is back working as a doctor at the ER. Hooray! He has shaved his face and put on a white lab coat and is no longer snorting drugs off of his naked girlfriend. He is, however, totally homeless. He is secretly sleeping at the hospital.
Practical Magic wants to baptise his child. Bend It Like Beckham gets offered some sort of nerdy job with a bunch of nerdy people. A Walk To Remember has a fight with Clemente because he deeply disapproves of Clemente taking advantage of his legal right to take annual leave.

Episode 15 of ER's 12th season tackles some full on shit.
Clemente wants to come back to work at the ER and is shocked that his colleagues aren't too keen for that. This seems really unfair, even if he did disappear for over a week and came back wanted for the attempted murder of his married girlfriend. 8 Mile and Bend It Like Beckham clash about some stuff but it doesn't involve John Leguizamo so we don't care too much.
Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Victor Clemente is back, baby! And it's incredibly full on.
ER, Season 12, Episode 14 is titled "Quintessence of Dust" which really doesn't explain the episode at all. Clemente has returned to our screen, but even though he used to be a quick-talking, rule-following, stern surgeon in crisp scrubs, he is now a messy junkie without a shirt.
Bobby (Clemente's lover's husband) sneaks into their apartment and shoots them both. Clemente rushes his lover to the ER and everyone he used to work with instantly assumes that he shot her. The only person that can vouch for Clemente is his lover, Jody, and she's totally in a coma.

Episode 11 of season 12 of the smash-hit medical drama ER is titled "If Not Now."
It's two weeks post-Christmas. Liar Liar is pregnant with Practical Magic's baby and we learn that neither of them are 100% sure whether they want to abort or follow through with the pregnancy. This internal battle is presented to the audience through a series of flashback scenes that doesn't seem to suit the vibe of ER at all. We also learn that Practical Magic is a Christian with an excellent knowledge of bible verses.
The chief of medicine slips on some ice and needs to be treated by Beckham.
We learn that Walk To Remember has a dream of making it in the music biz with "his boys" that make up some sort of punk/pop band. It's his BIG DREAM despite us never having heard about it and despite having most likely committed over 10 years of his life to becoming a doctor.
Anyway, shit is GOING DOWN for our mate Clemente. He continues to flirt and argue with sexy lover that is married to a cop. While treating a stab victim in the ER, two cops dressed ike mob bosses confront him and threaten to destroy his career if he doesn't tell them where sexy lover is.

"All About Christmas Eve" is the 10th episode of Season 12 of the medical drama "ER."
Practical Magic is now the chief of emergency medicine. To celebrate, he hands out Christmas presents to the staff at the hospital while wearing a silly little Christmas hat. He then, in the Christmas spirit, gives a bunch of people the night off which leads to a severe risk of death for many of the patients.
The main plot is another shooting. It's very dark and sad, but gives a realistic depiction of how doctors deal with death. It also gives an unrealistic depiction of how many people are allowed into the operating room during surgical procedures. A married woman that Clamente hooked up with in his past rocks up and things get very spicy.
MERRY CHRISTMAS, LEGZ FANS!

ER, Season 12, Episode 9 is titled 'I Do.'
Bend It Like Beckham's army boyfriend is back! And he spends the majority of the episode pressuring Beckham into marriage, even though Beckham says 'no' at least 100 times. He follows her around the hospital and wears her down until she finally agrees and they get married in the basement of the hospital once it has been decorated like a shit nightclub.
Clemente and Practical Magic stop bickering and make peace (sort of) in what is a very unclear storyline.
There is a lot of full on commentary about vaccines and immunisation when a mother brings her very sick child into the hospital but won't let him take medication, be x-rayed or be tested for any kind of virus. This pisses Johnny Legz off and he goes on a very unprofessional rant about how crap she is.
Liar Liar and Practical Magic continue to have sex. Practical Magic continues to do absolutely no work, spending the entire episode flirting with Liar Liar.

Today Mish and Zach chat about 'ER', season 12, episode 8. In this episode, a plane crashes right in the middle of Chicago. The episode cuts between the ER and the crash site.
Velma is the most senior nurse in this episode. Bend It Like Beckham does a ride along with Jesse from 'Full House' in his ambulance for some unknown reason.
Liar Liar and Practical Magic come into the ER after a night of sex, despite the face that neither of them are rostered on. Legz is trying to set up triage out the front despite the fact that Practical Magic is making it really difficult. 3rd Rock From The Sun is proud of Velma for making good decisions.
At the crash site, 8 Mile and Bend It Like Beckham help out. Beckham runs into a burning building to save a kid even though there are heaps of firefighters around.
Serena Williams is in this episode. No jokes. She plays a distraught mother.

'ER' episode 7, season 12 titled "The human Shield" opens with a man holding a young girl in his arms as he shoots wildly at policemen who (in return) shoot wildly at him. The man and the young girl get shot in the shower of bullets and the paramedics are called. Uncle Jesse from Full House enters dressed as a paramedic.
Our favourite doctor Victor Clemente (Johnny Legz) asserts his power in the hospital by holding stern meetings with all of the staff. He loves a stern meeting. He fucks up a little bit and doesn't give a patient enough fluids. this patient dies. This pisses off Practical Magic because he knew that the patient needed more fluids.
Practical Magic gets over this fairly quickly because Liar Liar has a breakdown and he makes kisses with her.
Shane West is in a lot of trouble because the father of a Kat Dennings finds out he had sex with his daughter and bashes him in a carpark.
TW: This episode of 'ER' tackles some seriously heavy stuff including kidnapping, pedophilia and sexual abuse.

"Dream House" is the sixth episode of the twelfth season of "ER".
Dr Clemente reveals himself to be a bit more open to breaking the rules. He secretly smuggles a baby monkey into the hospital because they have similar DNA to humans.
Meanwhile, the lady from "3rd Rock From The Sun" gives Velma from "Scooby Doo" a promotion. Her first task in her new position is to fire someone. The girl from "Bend It Like Beckham" finds out that the girl from "2Broke Girls" who has been sleeping with the guy from "A Walk To Remember" is actually only 14 years old which is really messed up, but it's played for laughs which is strange. Lastly, the guy from "8 Mile" tries to connect with his estranged father who is played by the guy from "Rush Hour".

"Playing with Fire" is a 2019 family comedy directed by Andy Fickman of "Mall Cop 2" fame.
It follows the story of John Cena and his arm veins as they fight fire and work their way into our horny little hearts. Jake Carson (Cena) is the superintendent of a group of Smoke Jumpers in California. When three kids come into his life unexpectedly, we are met with some very funny scenarios and a very unrealistic adoption.
Leguizamo plays Rodrigo Torres, one of the Smoke Jumpers that works along side John Cena's muscles.

What do you think about when you think about the "Ice Age" franchise? We think about comedian extraordinaire Ben Russell!
"Ice Age: Continental Drift" is the fourth film in the Ice Age series. Released in 2012 (10 years after the first movie) this film continues the crazy adventures of the ever growing ensemble cast as they go on a wacky adventure that is loosely based on plate tectonics. When Scrat (that way too famous squirrel dude) goes to the centre of the earth to retrieve a yummy acorn, he accidentally sets in motion the continental drift mentioned in the title. Our loveable ensemble gets separated and will stop at nothing to find each other again. They even commandeer an iceberg that is also pirate ship run by a gorilla.

"Righteous Kill" is a movie about righteous kills. Turk and Rooser (Pacino and De Niro) are two cops on the hunt for a serial killer who leaves little notes around their victims. The killer is a little bit too close to home though.... ooo aaahhh...

Some would say that Steven Segal's number 1 fan is Dave Warneke, so naturally, we had to chat about "Out For Justice" with him.
Opening with a quote from Arthur Miller, "Out For Justice" tells of the story of the thin, blue line that separates the police from organised crime in a particularly rough neighbourhood in Brooklyn... but it's also just about Steven Segal kicking ass.
When Segal's partner is assassinated by a drug addicted psychopath, Segal goes on a bloody rampage to bring justice to the baddies. Segal's character is named Gino Felino. Very funny.
Johnny Legz is pretty much a featured extra. He does some stuff in a montage and then gets shot.

It follows all of the members of the Rodriguez family as they gather together at Alfred Molina's house to celebrate Christmas. This year, however, the Christmas prediod is laced with so many dramas - potential divorce, murder, dancing. Everything works out in the end though. It's a bloody Christmas movie!
John Leguizamo plays Mauricio. He is a workaholic that is married to Debra Messing who doesn't approve of his parents looming divorce.

One of legendary Comedian/Broadcaster Kyran Wheatley's favourite movies is 'Romeo and Juliet' starring John Leguizamo... so naturally, Mish and Zach made him watch a small, arty, low budget horror/sci-fi/drama from 1991 called Poison, directed by Todd Hayes - a film made up of 3 small films.
The first story is titled 'Hero' - a documentary style story about a young boy accused of shooting his dad and then flying away. Literally flying. Like at tthe end of the movie Birdman but with less Emma Stone and more early 90s hairstyles.
The second story is titled ‘Horror’. A scientist accidentally drinks a liquid, horny sex elixir while checking out a female scientist’s arse. It gives him a bit of a rash, makes him incredibly stern and has him dressing like Johnny Cash.
The third story is titled ‘Homo’, a story set in prison that follows a violent, passionate and sexual relationship between two of the male inmates.
This Todd Hates movie was said to be a real trailblazer in the queer film movement of the early 90s. It is as much a study of genres than anything else, featuring noir, melodrama and voxpop.
John Leguizamo features in the story Homo, playing the role of Chanchi - one of the inmates.

In fair Verona is where we set our scene... with the legend that is Comedian Zoe Coombs Marr!
"Romeo and Juliet" is a really old story about really young love, written by William Shakespeare (ALLEGEDLY!)
The movie we watched is a 1996 action/romance directed by Baz Luhrmann.
The Montagues and the Capulets hate each other. They fight lots like the gangs in "West Side Story" except without the songs and the dancing and the white washing... although there is a bit of white washing in this film.
When Romeo (a Montague) and Juliet (a Capulet) fall in love with each other. Together they have sex and tell each other how they feel a lot. Their romance hits a bit of a roadblock when their mates start killing each other.
John Leguizamo plays Tybalt, Juliet's cousin. He hates Romeo so much. He wears low cut pants and a cool vest. He's vindictive and hot.

"Freak" is a 1998 film directed by Spike Lee. The film is a live performance of John Leguizamo's 1998 one-man-show of the same name. Leguizamo's show was autobiographical as he often talks about many aspects of his own life and upbringing. He chats heaps about his family. He plays them as well.
John Leguizamo plays the part of John Leguizamo. Himself. That's him.

Podcaster/Internet Celebrity/Tram Driver Nick Mason (The Weekly Planet) watches and reviews films regularly, so Mish and Zach took his expertise... and made him watch "Spawn."
a superhero/action/fantasy released in 1997, "Spawn" (directed by Mark A.Z. Dippé) is the story of Al Simmonds, a US Marine Colonel that really wants to retire, but his boss, Martin Sheen, won't let him quit... which is totally illegal.
Al agrees to perform one more mission for Martin Sheen. Poor Al is killed on this mission because Martin Sheen organises someone to murder him. Al ends up in hell, which is essentially a really scummy rave warehouse. al agrees to be a eternal servant, but only if he can go back to earth a hang out with his fiancé Wanda. Once he returns to earth, he becomes SPAWN.
This movie is cooked beyond belief.
John Leguizamo plays Violator, an evil clown that is kind of like the funny sidekick, but he's totally evil and fat.

"All That" is essentially a sketch comedy show like "Saturday Night Live"... except it's for kids, and instead of beautiful people that went to Second City, it has a strange combo of teenagers that look like The Jonas Brothers and a bunch of shrill children. They're similar in that the sketches are really long.
John Leguizamo stars in a sketch that is a parody of "Star Trek." In it, he plays a silly alien that is very annoying. He copies what people say and sticks his tongue out a lot.

"Frogs For Snakes" is an indie comedy/thriller written and directed by Amos Poe who likes to make weird films. This film is from 1998 but has serious 1993 vibes.
"Frogs for Snakes" follows Eva, an out of work actress that also does a bit of debt collection for her ex husband, Al, a famous and violent producer. She hangs out with a lot of her actor friends at a diner where many of them break off into random monologues from various plays and films.
John Leguizamo plays Zip, Eva's new boyfriend. Like Eva, he is also a struggling actor who is very good at sex and being sexy. He is in one scene before he is shot and killed by another struggling actor who wants to prove is worth to Al so that he'll cast him in his new show. Insane.

It tells the story of Patchi (voiced by Drew Barrymore's ex boyfriend) a dinosaur that has various little adventures during the annual migration of his dinosaur family.

It's Leguizamo's first ever gig! Such a momentous occasion calls for a momentous guest - the hilarious Gen Fricker!
Madonna’s song “Borderline” tells the story of young love. The female protagonist appeals to her male counterpart to either end their relationship or “finish what he started” and commit fully to their burning passion. She grows increasingly frustrated, claiming that her love interest is simply making a fool of her, playing with her heart and keeping her a prisoner, while she continues to give everything she has to what seems like a love that is not reciprocated, yet also not truly one sided.
The music video to this song is about a group of young breakdancers on the street. A photographer approaches them and starts a chat with Madonna, but her boyfriend doesn’t like this! So he takes her to a rooftop so they can make out in their double denim. But then he is super rude to her and ditches her to play pool with the boys.
John Leguizamo is in this music video. We are not certain where. We thought maybe he was one of the breakdancers at the start, but when we googled it, apparently he is the skinny dude in the red shirt outside the pool hall. It’s hard to tell. I probably could have done a little bit more research into this, but there was an earthquake in Melbourne the other day.

"The Greatest Freak Out Ever" is a YouTube video that was posted in 2009 by wafflePWn. It shows a young guy - preteen age - secretly filming his brother as he freaks out about his "World of Warcraft" game being canceled or some other gamer shit like that. In the video, he screams, paces, removes his clothing and tries to shove a remote up his asshole. It was later revealed that this videos was fake and totally set up but these two boys LOL.
In the 2010 video posted by the same channel, John recreates the freak out in a parody of the original video. I can't believe we've made an entire podcast episode about this.

It's kind of a whodunnit murder mystery, except not really because it only has a cast of seven actors so figuring out who the murderer was isn't very difficult.
Johnny Legz plays Detective Espada, the only detective on a brutal murder case.

Mish and Zach are joined this week by the ridiculously talented actor/singer/drag queen sensation Tilly Capulet. Together they reflect on their time together as university mates, their personal relationships with Baz Luhrmann... and they occasionally chat about the 2009 arthouse film "Rage".
"Rage" is about all of the different characters you will find in and around a New York fashion house. It stars heaps of really famous Hollywood actors that all wish they could sustain a lavish lifestyle by acing in theatre... but they can't... so they all do movies like "Casino Royale" and "Star Wars" and "Cats".
This movie is about a young guy named Michael Angelo who films behind-the-scenes interviews on his cell phone. Whilst he is conducting these interviews, gunshots are heard and the chat-to-camera film quickly turns into a murder mystery.
John Leguizamo plays Jed, the security guard of Eddie Izzard. What a delightful pairing! They are never seen together in the film though.

We have another sexy thriller, people!
"Revenge" is a 1990 romantic thriller (according to wikipedia - 'romantic' isn't the word we'd use, hey?) starring the guy from "Waterworld", the lady from "12 Monkeys", the guy who played Zorba in "Zorba the Greek", one of the bad guys from Robocop and John Leguizamo from this podcast.
The very visually appealing film tells the story of Jay Cochran, a sexy all-American fighter pilot that starts an affair with a rich drug lord's wife. After 45 horny minutes, the drug lord finds out about the affair and his response is super full on. The rest of the film is very violent and choc-full of blood and mean words about women.
John Leguizamo plays a SEXY Mexican dude that helps Jay get his revenge on the rich drug lord.

"Joe The King" is a semi-autobiographical drama film from 1999.
Joe is a disadvantaged preteen who lives with Val Kilmer (his alcoholic father), his super stressed out mother and his older brother who like girls and sleeping. Joe works at a really shit diner run by a total madman who is rude to everyone. To save some money to buy his stressed mother some new records, Joe steals money from the diner and everyone gets really mad at him. This movie is very depressing and has no lightness. It's a lot of very angry people being very angry at everyone, especially little Joe. Even his teacher is an angry asshole.
John plays George, a guy who works at the diner and is literally the only slightly nice person in the film... and even he slaps Joe in the face at one point.

Night Shyamalan's very odd thriller "The Happening" (which Shyamalan claims to be a spoof, but he only claimed that after it was a flop and it's totally not spoofy enough to be a spoof film, you know what I mean?)
In New York City Central Park, people start to die by mass suicide initially believed to be caused by a bio-terrorist attack using an airborne neurotoxin. This behaviour starts to spread across the east coast of the United States.
The film called "The Happening" stars a miscast Mark Wahlberg as a Philadelphia science teacher and his love interest (a miscast Zooey Deschanel) as they run away from a toxic wind released by some angry plants that makes people want to kill themselves.

Professional comedian and podcaster Dave Warneke joins these two idiots to chat about the 1996 action film Executive Decision.
This film is about a whole bunch of different men who, at different points in the film, make executive decisions. Some of them are good decisions and some of them are bad. Halle Berry makes an executive decision at one point too, sort of. When terrorists take over a plane with a massive bomb in it, Steven Seagal, Kurt Russell and a bunch of other guys decide to save the day by entering the plane while it is flying. It's a movie full of action, drama and the result of some very poor security screening at airports.
John Leguizamo plays Rat, a stealthy military man. 100% of everything he says in this film is a witty quip.

Ben Russell is back! He loves the Ice Age franchise!
While Manny the Mammoth and Queen Latifah are expecting a baby, Diego/Dennis Leary decides to venture off on his own. Sid the Sloth steals some dinosaur eggs and plans to raise the baby dinosaurs himself (which is very dark if you think about it.) When the mama dinosaur discovers that her children have been stolen, she is understandably pissed off. DrAmA!
John Leguizamo plays Sid the Sloth (again) except this time he is arguably the central character because he makes the franchise the most money.

'The Hollow Point' tells the story of a guy played by Patrick Wilson (who was in 'Hard Candy' and he will forever be THAT guy.) He becomes a sheriff of a border town where bullets get smuggled into Mexico after the guy from 'Deadwood' shoots a guy. Patrick Wilson is a good man who doesn't want to be a bad man like all the other bad men in the movie, but it seems like deep down he is just a bad man.
John Leguizamo plays the baddest man. He's like a psycho killer. He's not particularly relevant to the plot for the most part, until the end when he becomes the most relevant character out of all of them.

"The Take" is a drama/thriller film from 2007, not to be confused with the TV series "The Take" from 2009 about a criminal sociopath played by Tom Hardy. It looks pretty good, but John Leguizamo isn’t in it.
The Take starring John Leguizamo is set in working class Los Angeles. Felix De La Pena is a family man that drives an armored vehicle for a living. One shift, late at night, his truck is hijacked by a very angry man and his very angry friends. Felix is shot in the head but he survives! Felix’s wife, Rosie Perez, endevours to nurse her husband back to health as he attempts to recover from his intense pain and emotional damage. When Felix discovers that he is a suspect in the crime, he decides to find the real culprit himself, despite his full on mood swings, inability to keep his penis hard and his little to no recollection of the event.
John plays Felix. The lead role. Fuck yes.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler star in a comedy that they didn't write. It's all about two sisters who throw a party at their parents' house. That's literally what it's about. Amy plays a kind-hearted, naive nurse and Tina Fey plays a misfit.
John Leguizamo plays Dave, a mate of theirs from back in high school. He attends the party and falls in love with Maya Rudolph (who is very funny in this film. Both of them are.)

The Sun is also a Star is a teen drama that is based on a novel by Nicola Yoon that is apparently pretty sick and cool in young adult circles.
The film tells the story of Daniel and Natasha, two very pretty, very young adults who fall in love in New York over the space of one day. Daniel is a hopeful romantic that wants to be a poet but his Korean dad (who runs a haircare shop) is forcing him to be a doctor. Natasha thinks love is gross and silly. Natasha’s dream is to not be deported back to Jamaica with her family.

MISH AND ZACH'S PILOT EPISODE! Before Super Mario Bros, before Whispers in the Dark, before Ice Age 2: The Meltdown... Zach and Mish watched and reviewed 1998s Doctor Dolittle. It's a bit scrappy but also lots of fun.

John Dolittle (Eddie Murphy) rejects the return of this gift as he is trying his best to increase his business and control his family. OOOoooOOoo a spooky film! 'Vanishing on 7th Street' is a 2010 thriller directed by Brad Anderson.
The film begins with a power outage in Detriot. When the lights come back on only moments later, everyone has disappeared leaving only their clothes behind them. This super scary power outage has left only four survivors – John Leguizamo, Thandie Newton, Jacob Latimore and Anakin Skywalker aka. Hayden Christensen, who spends the first half of the movie screaming at a 13 yr old boy.
It become apparent that these four have survived because they all have a light of some kind, like a flash light or a glow stick. Together they try and battle the darkness with their glowsticks and their panic.
The Legz plays Paul - a projectionist in a Detroit theatre with a flashlight on his head who gets a concussion and is momentarily taken by the darkness but then his head flashlight works again and the darkness leaves him alone.

Mish and Zach talked one of Australia's most HILARIOUS comedians, Christian Hull, into watching Die Hard 2 and then asked him to spend way too long talking about it on this week's episode of Leguizamarama!
Die Hard 2 is a 1990 American action/thriller/Christmas film. It tells the story of John McClane (Bruce Willis from 'Live Free Or Die Hard') who is the unluckiest man in the world. Exactly two years after taking out an entire tower of terrorists, John is at an airport waiting for his wife when he coincidentally bumps into a terrorist who has devised an evil plan that coincidentally involves the plane his wife is sitting on who is coincidentally sitting across from some guy from the first movie who coincidentally knows a guy on the plane that coincidentally has a radio that coincidentally picks up on the terrorist's evil plan. They all work together to stop the terrorists.
John Leguizamo plays a terrorist that cuts all of the lights at the airport and gets killed by Bruce Willis when he is on a snow mobile. He has one line which is dubbed by someone else.
Merry Christmas!

There are a couple of scary prehistoric water beasts in it too.
