The result was the Crosstown Rebels EP "You're Not Welcome" and with that, Walker & Royce was launched into the dance music spotlight. Around the same time, Walker & Royce released a track on OFF Recordings that went on to become a house anthem: "Connected". The song became a mainstay in Solomun's performances and with that set the stage for a diverse range of sounds from the pair. Their EP on Moda Black entitled “Sister” was picked by Pete Tong as his Essential New Tune, and their chart toping remix of Baunz’ “Out the Window” on Pets Recordings garnered support from many of the biggest artists in electronic music. Most recently the duo has joined the ranks on Claude Vonstroke’s seminal Dirtybird Records with the release of the “Boy” EP and “Hit Dem Draws” and Green Velvet’s legendary Relief Records with their chart toping release “Peep This Cat”, and “3 4 Shake It” with fellow Dirtybird artist Will Clarke. Azzecca’s genre-bending productions are perfect for massive club systems. ‘My sound is always dark and sexy, but I experiment with different genres and vibes a lot. My sets are dynamic, I love to surprise the crowd. I start my own tracks with a bassline, a lead or a vocal sample, I love to use funky arps. My diverse musical tastes give me extreme versatility as a DJ/producer, resulting from early influences like the harsh but emotional elements of electro rock.’ 

Azzecca aka Allie DeCastris cites early influences as Massive Attack, Portishead, Nightmares on Wax, Little Dragon, Bjork, Pink Floyd, and ‘I’ve always been massively into Bristolian electro rock sounds.’ Born to a musical family and attending rock concerts from an early age, she grew up playing flute, bass piano and piano. She began DJing and production as hobbies, until COVID’s enforced re-think started her DJing for small parties winning attention from promoters, while Diplo’s Higher Ground dropped her first single and EP, and she launched her ‘Dirty Disco’ nights. 

‘Dirty Disco’, still ongoing and growing, are female-focused parties she began in Chicago clubs, to fill a need she had identified for spaces where women could dress up and feel good without unwelcome attention. 

As her career spirals ever skywards, Azzecca's targets include conquering new territories, pushing musical boundaries, and touring Dirty Disco to continue giving a platform to emerging underground artists she loves.

His original album In Between released in 2007 and featured collaborations with David Byrne and Jessica Sutta of the Pussycat Dolls as well as Rea Garvey of Reamon and Johnny McDaid of Vega 4.

PvD received a Grammy nomination in 2005 for Best Dance/Electronic Album for his original album Reflections - this marked the first time NARAS recognized this category. His original productions from Reflections have been synced into major motion pictures such as Into the Blue, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, television´s Entertainment Tonight and MTV´s Cribs, and international ad campaigns for Motorola, HBO, Land Rover, Ski Vail and most recently for Jeep. Paul van Dyk´s touring diary remains incredibly hectic with regular globetrotting stops at major venues across the globe from New York, London, Ibiza to India, China and Singapore. In the little time remaining between all the travel, Paul van Dyk resides in Berlin where he has his own radio show "Paul van Dyk´s VONYC Sessions" which airs weekly.

Who is Moby: Richard Melville Hall, 11 September 1965, New York, USA. A New York DJ, recording artist, Christian, vegan and Philosophy graduate. Moby is so nicknamed because of the fact that he can trace his ancestry to the author of the famous whaling tale.

This is by no means the only interesting aspect of his idiosyncratic artistic life. He refuses to travel anywhere by car because of the environmental considerations, and generally displays little of the public anonymity that is the creed of the underground DJ. In 1991, he took the Twin Peaks theme, under the guise of "Go", into the UK Top 10. Although that appealed to the more perverse natures of both mainstream and club audiences, the release of "I Feel It"/"Thousand" in 1993 was yet more bizarre. The latter track was classified by The Guinness Book Of Records as the fastest single ever, climaxing at 1,015 bpm. It was typical of Moby's playful, irreverent attitude to his work. In his youth he was a member of hardcore punk outfit the Vatican Commandos, and even substituted as singer for Flipper while their vocalist was in prison.He has brought these rock 'n' roll inclinations to bear on the world of dance music: at the 1992 DMC/Mixmag Awards ceremony he trashed his keyboards at the end of his set. His introduction to dance music began in the mid-80s: "I was drawn to it, I started reading about it, started hanging out in clubs. For me house music was the synthesis of the punk era." He collected cheap, second hand recording equipment, basing himself in an old factory/converted prison in New York's Little Italy district. The albums issued by New York dance label Instinct collect the artist's early work. Ambient comprised unissued cuts from 1988-91, composed of barely audible atmospheric interludes. Moby signed to leading independent Mute Records in 1993, and the following year released "Hymn", a transcendental religious techno odyssey, distinguished by a 35-minute ambient mix and a Laurent Garner remix. The track was included on his eclectic major label debut, Everything Is Wrong. His own remix catalogue includes Brian Eno, LFO ("Tan Ta Ra"), Pet Shop Boys, Erasure ("Chorus"), Orbital ("Speed Freak"), Depeche Mode and even Michael Jackson. He moved away from his dance base in 1996 with the thrash rock of Animal Rights, and in turn sounded more like Johnny Rotten.

His "James Bond Theme' debuted at UK number 8 in November 1997. The attendant I Like To Score was an uneasy experiment in soundtrack work. Another change of style was apparent on 1999"s Play, a superb album on which several tracks were based around sampled field recordings made by folklorist Alan Lomax in the earlier part of the century. Play became a remarkable sleeper hit, thanks in the main to the licensing of every track on the album for use in advertisements. Moby repeated the Play formula to lesser effect on 18.

Who is Destructo: Longtime music industry figure Gary Richards goes by the name Destructo, producing and spinning an explosive mixture of electro-house and rap. Using the moniker since the early 1990s when he was an A&R for Rick Rubin's Def American Recordings, the DJ, concert promoter, and producer began releasing solo material on Boysnoize and OWSLA, starting with 2012's Technology EP. He began fusing dance music with gangsta rap and trap on 2014's West Coast, and has collaborated with major emcees such as E-40, Too $hort, and Busta Rhymes. Richards has been named one of EDM's most important figures by Rolling Stone and Billboard. Los Angeles-based Gary Richards started organizing dance events in 1991, and Rick Rubinchose him to work as A&R for the electronic music division of Def American Recordings in 1993. He signed acts like Lords of Acid, Messiah, and God Lives Underwater, and worked out American deals with XL Recordings and Harthouse Records. As Destructo, he remixed Awesome 3's rave classic "Don't Go," and played aggressive DJ sets of the hardest techno he could find. He later founded 1500 Records and Nitrus Records, and worked with artists such as David Holmes, Dub Pistols, Basement Jaxx, and many more.

Who is wAFF: From his roots in the clubland underground of Leeds and Hull, DJ-producer wAFF has gone on to become globally renowned. He has earnt widespread respect. He’s the only British artist who’s recorded for all three European techno hubs, Sven Väth’s Cocoon, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode and Loco Dice’s Desolat. He approaches music with unstoppable enthusiasm and attention to detail. This summer, for instance, his Ibiza gigs range from his residency at Paradise at DC-10 to Elrow at Amnesia (and the rest of the world!). He’s DJing everywhere, from recent Space in Miami to festival slots at Glastonbury, Hideout, Sziget and, yes, the original Nevada Desert madhouse, Burning Man. Now based in London, much further back wAFF kickstarted the underground dance scene in his native Hull and achieved success with his Koala parties in Leeds, providing a widely respected initial springboard to take things forward. He’s been part of Jamie Jones’s Paradise crew since their first 2012 season at DC-10, and also recorded regularly for Jones’s Hot Creations imprint with tunes such as his Hot Creations debut ‘Rainbows’, 2016’s ‘Sick Pleasure’ and ‘Kidney Punch’, and 2015 monster ‘Fat Gash’, all played by DJs ranging from Patrick Topping to Marco Carola. For Cocoon he recorded the Freeks EP, which contained the much-hammered hypno-thumping classic, ‘Groover’, while Drumcode released his urgent nine minute techno-tinted floor-stormer ‘VibrationZ’.

Who is A-Trak: Very few DJs can jump from club sets to high-profile festival performances, to Kanye West’s larger-than-life stadium shows with ease. Who is Christopher Coe: Christopher Coe is an Irish born, Australian-raised live artist and techno producer from Melbourne. Coe also partners with Carl Cox in their live electronic label Awesome Soundwave. From 2014 to 2016 he designed, built and ran the ID&T/Beatport studio in Amsterdam where he coached new artists and collaborated with many established artists. He now works with Carl as his co-producer and engineer in the studio that Carl commissioned him to create in 2017. Coe has produced and released his own work over many years, previously as Digital Primate, and continues to perform both in Australia and live around the world from Creamfields UK to Fabrik Madrid, DC10 Ibiza, to the huge Amsterdam Dance Event for Awakenings.

Who Is Carl Cox: One of the most charming DJs in the business. A musical ambassador and a veteran of acid house, a champion of techno, a dance music pioneer, label owner, King of Ibiza – you name it, Carl’s been there and done it, never losing sight of his passions – playing music, breaking tunes and celebrating life. Carl formed his own label, Intec Records, in 1999, scoring a series of underground hits and enjoying eight years at the forefront of electronic music. After its closure in 2006, Carl was still inundated with new music, finally deciding to re-launch the label as Intec Digital in 2010, and it’s been a triumphant return, thanks to exclusives from some of the biggest names in techno. Intec Digital was also the home for Carl’s 6th studio album, ‘All Roads Lead To the Dancefloor', released to critical acclaim in 2011. And of course Carl’s name cannot be mentioned without Ibiza. His legendary Ibiza residency at Space came to an end in 2016, after an unbelievable 15 consecutive years. Since 2001 Carl helped establish Space as one of the biggest clubs in the world. With carefully thought out line ups, and as much emphasis on new talent as big names, Carl always strived to keep his night at the forefront of Ibiza clubbing making it one of the most successful residencies in Ibiza history. Starting out in 2001 with just 6 nights, his residency grew and adapted as the club did, so for Carl it was only right to end his residency as Space itself closed its doors. And what a way to go out. Carl’s final 15 week season was his biggest ever, with every single night selling out, heralded by fans and critics alike as a triumphant finale to a piece of dance history.

Who Is Todd Edwards: Todd Edwards is a house and garage veteran whose signature productions have lit up dancefloors for decades, and whose collaborations with Daft Punk sit in the record collections of millions. Edwards’ music has been recognized as a major influence on the nascent UK Garage genre in the United Kingdom in the mid 1990s. He became known for his intensive sampling and remixing technique that involves “cross-hatching brief snatches of vocals into a melodic-percussive honeycomb of blissful hiccups” as described by critic Simon Reynolds. Used both on his solo albums and on his remixes for other artists, this complex vocal sampling technique in some cases renders the original track almost unrecognizable. With remixes numbering in the hundreds, some of the artists Edwards has remixed include Wildchild, St. Germain, Benjamin Diamond, Justice, Klaxons and Dimitri From Paris. Edwards co-produced and performed vocals on the Daft Punk song “Face to Face” from the album Discovery and he worked again with them, co-writing, co-producing and contributing vocals to the song, “Fragments Of Time” from their 2013 album Random Access Memories, for which he won a Grammy.

Maritime Yacht Club is the creative brainchild of renowned UK tastemaker artist/Origins Rcrds label boss Josh Butler alongside longtime friend, talented singer/songwriter and fellow producer José Rosa - who co-wrote and provided the vocals for Josh’s iconic hit record ‘Got A Feeling’.

Joyce Muniz already has a story like no other. Born in São Paulo, Brazil, to a family rooted in shamanism and samba, she moved to Vienna in the 90s, becoming a vocalist when the city was a global centre for downtempo and starting her DJ career at Flex Club. In the 2000s she brought an authentic voice to the European baile funk explosion, touring with Major Lazer, and moved into production. She’s since collaborated with other distinct music makers, from Maya Jane Coles to DJ Hell, had a residency on Rinse FM, and released on labels including Get Physical, Permanent Vacation, Pets, International DJ Gigolo and Exploited, the latter of whom released her debut album, 2016’s ‘Made In Vienna’. She is about to embark on her next album called 'Zeitkapsel', so I wanted to talk to her about the process of making this. Enjoy x

QRTR is an electronic music producer and DJ based in Brooklyn, NY.

Brooklyn's Meagan Rodriguez, aka QRTR, learned how to use CDJs in a smoky discotèca an hour before DJing in front of a crowd of dancing Portuguese club-goers. She returned to the same club years later, but this time, she had her own original music to share. 

Bouncing between high-energy DJ mixes and hypnotic original live sets, QRTR has shared the stage with the likes of Tokimonsta, Tiga, Phantoms, Galantis, and Oliver, to name a few. Jax Jones was born Timucin Fabian Kwong Wah Aluo on July 25, 1987 in London, and is an English DJ, songwriter, record producer and remixer. Raised in a multi-ethnic household, Timucin felt Nigerian, Turkish and African influences. Jax Jones begun posting clips of music on MySpace while he was still at university. As well as working with artists such as Big Narstie. Zevi G, born in 1984, is a prolific and steadfast artist who uses his studio to bring unanticipated creations to life. In a world where love, unity and kindness have become a scarce commodity Zevi is determined to make a change using his art and many compelling characters to spread a powerful message.

The artist was never intimidated by his underprivileged and very orthodox upbringing, on the contrary, that became the very essence of his strength and will, to turn his life around and reach others with positive and relevant messages.

Detroit-born Marc Kinchen, known commonly as MK, is one of the rare house producers to consistently innovate as well as achieve significant commercial success throughout his lengthy career, which stretches back to the late '80s. Initially appearing on Detroit labels such as Kevin Saunderson's KMS, he developed a highly unique style that combined the soulfulness of New York-styled garage with the energy of hard techno, as well as intensely cut-up vocal hooks. His work would prove to be a significant influence on New Jersey house deity Todd Edwards, as well as the entire U.K. garage scene. Throughout the '90s he achieved club success with several singles sung by Alana, collected on the 1993 full-length Surrender, as well as countless remixes for other artists, including the Nightcrawlers' seminal "Push the Feeling On," originally released in 1992. During the early 21st century, he worked closely with stars like Will Smith and Pitbull, then returned to house music as interest in his earlier work resurged during the early 2010s. He scored one of his biggest hits with his remix of Storm Queen's "Look Right Through," which topped the U.K. pop charts in late 2013. He then resumed releasing original tracks, scoring hits such as 2017's "17."

From VONDA7 - I am VONDA7. I grew up in the city of Poznan in Poland, where I started my first music adventures with hip-hop and R&B. Soon after that I discovered french house, Gigolo Records and Tresor showcases. I later moved to London where I got into psychedelic indietronica / synthpop, garage, UK house and caribbean music. After that I spent one year in Amsterdam immersing in new disco & melodic house. Eventually I moved to Berlin which I can call home now where I first experienced the more hippie scene only to come back to where it all started and learnt even more about the roots of Berlin, Detroit and Chicago electronic music culture.

Sharlene Hector is a UK singer/songwriter. She has worked as a backing vocalist with Alicia Keys, Muse, Primal Scream, Rebecca Ferguson, Lalah Hathaway, Tinie Tempah, Josh Groban and Michael Bublé, as well as performing on TV shows such as X Factor and Sounds Like Friday night with the likes of One Republic and John Legend.

For the past 20 years she has fronted the UK House group Basement Jaxx as a lead vocalist, headlining shows at Glastonbury and V Festival, as well as touring with Blonde, Emeli Sandé and Sam Sparro.

She’s the featured vocalist on the Riva Starr and Armand Van Helden single ‘Step It Up’, ‘Saviour’ by Dimension and the Reel People classic ‘The Rain’.

The list of artists she has collaborated with is long, varied and includes Clean Bandit, Dr Meaker, DJ Will Clarke, Royal Blood, Rag And Bone Man, The Horrors, Dave Stewart (Eurythmics), Wretch 32, Natasha Bedingfield, Nicole Scherzinger, Mark Ronson, Paloma Faith, Kano, JP Cooper and Omar.

She was the face of Coca-Cola's 'I Wish' ad campaign back in 2004, where she played the lead role of a girl walking down the street handing out bottles of Coca-Cola.

A penchant for driving, mesmeric techno has driven Juliet Fox’s evolution in recent years. Now based full-time in Berlin, Juliet seized the end of 2020 as an opportunity for growth, launching her techno label TREGAMBE which is currently an outpost for her own club-orientated productions. Meaning ‘three legs’ in English, fusing strength, integrity and authenticity, these defining traits are at the very core of the music her imprint showcases. Motivated to further personalise the label and utilise her passion for painting and exploring the relationship between art and sound, Juliet creates the artwork for each TREGAMBE release. Enjoy x
