Hello Readers, I hope you’re well.
Welcome to Episode 63 of the UCStatus Podcast. This episode features me (@randychapman), Mark Vale (@markvale83) and Shawn Harry (@shawnharry).
This week was again a random list of stuff I found interesting in the Message centre and roadmap for Teams.
I thought you might find this interesting. This is the Copilot recap of the Teams meeting we used to record the episode. It shows a decent summary and a speech track of the three of us and who talked when.
Once we finish talking about Teams we start talking about tea. Coming from an American living in the UK for almost 30 years, America can’t make tea right.
Thanks for listening! Catch you next time.

Hello Readers, I hope you’re well.
Welcome to Episode 62 of the UCStatus Podcast. This episode features me (@randychapman), Mark Vale (@markvale83) and Shawn Harry (@shawnharry).
This week was a random list of stuff I found interesting in the Message centre and roadmap for Teams.
At this point the Teams client decided it didn’t like the audio setup I was using. For reference, Focusrite Scarlett and Logi Yeti Studio mic and Logi Zone wired earbuds. Since it was mic and speakers that failed I am blaming Teams and the Focusrite USB interface. But what a fail. Fortunately I have backup devices and could just change it on the fly. I cut out about 2 minutes of Mark and Shawn laughing at me to spare you. But thought I would leave in the rest as an example of how any component could just fail.

This week we had a short list items I plucked from the what’s new from InfoComm and Build blog posts, and we managed to talk for 25 minutes about the first item in the list. So it turned into an episode largely about Copilot. Not a bad thing though as it was a good discussion.

Welcome to Episode 59 of the UCStatus Podcast. This episode features me (@randychapman), Mark Vale (@markvale83) and Shawn Harry (@shawnharry).
Following on from the recent Enterprise Connect show in Orlando there was a ton of Teams news announced. Live on Stage during the keynote and on tthe Microsoft stand. The result was something like 8 or 9 Microsoft blog posts. Including one on everything, another just on Teams rooms and devices. And several expanding on specific features. The list I drew up from all of that was so big (and because part 1 took an hour to record) that I decided to split it in half. This is part 2.
Then we switched to Teams rooms and devices

Hello Readers, I hope you’re well.
Welcome to Episode 54 of the UCStatus Podcast. This episode features me (@randychapman), Mark Vale (@markvale83) and Shawn Harry (@shawnharry).
This week we chat with Mark about his day job at Callroute.
Callroute is a small company in the south of England who started with a platform to deliver telephony to Teams through Direct Routing as a service, but with a unique widard based sign up and provisioning process. The simple process starts with giving an app some permissions to read and write to your tenant. Which means you can be making and receiving calls in under 10 minutes from start to finish.
Mark went on to talk about Callroutes latest service which launched on the day of recording. The ner service is all about user lifecycle management.
Callroute User Personas gives admins the ability to create custom policy sets which contain all of the user assignable Teams policies for a given persona. A persona could be a location or job role or a function or a project. You decide what you need, then create a bunch of user policies in Teams Admin Centre. All policies are in scope, including the voice policies. When ready you can sync the policies to Callroute and create your personas. Think of personas like Teams policy packages, but without the need for an additional Teams license. Once you have created your personas you create conditions for auto assignment and let Callroute do the rest. As new users are added to Callroute via the sync function, when they match a persona they are assigned a package.
I don’t want to give away too much and let you listen to Mark explain it.
Stay tuned for some additional content from me as I get started with Callroute telephony service and put User Personas through its paces.
If you want to know more about Callroute, visit their website at Callroute.com. They have a chat tool on the site. They also have a great knowledgebase on everything Callroute does, including User Persona Management.
You can also see Callroute at UC Expo Callroute To Exhibit Auto-Provisioning At UC Expo at Stand S76. Hope you enjoy.
