In this episode, our host Gaby Azorsky speaks with Grace Flowers. She shares tea ceremonies at various locations in Los Angeles and Costa Rica as her personal act of devotion and seva. Grace believes “Heaven passes thru a teapot.”

Our conversation is real, gentle, and vulnerable. In our episode, we talk about purpose, Grace’s journey through ego, our own paths with yoga, teacherdom, discipleship and hierarchy, Tea and more Tea, children, motherhood, parenthood, life and death, how she grew up and her origin story, perfectionism and the need to feel “prepared”, her ancestry and Chinese heritage and food, food as medicine, herbs, tending the land that her and her family live on, nature, connection, time with children and time alone as a parent, doing and being….sounds like we touch on the realness of daily life.

In this episode, our host Gaby Azorsky speaks with Frances Naude. The things that make her the most happy are truly the little things — enjoying time with family, a warm cup of tea, singing and dancing, rewatching Gilmore girls for the thousandth time, savoring delicious food, serving others with her soul work, and being in nature, specifically near the ocean or amidst the flowers and the trees! In addition to serving in one-on-one sessions, the main projects Frances is focused on right now are sharing Four Noble Tarot with more people and expanding her YouTube channel to a wider audience. Frances feels that these offerings empower people to take their connection into their own hands (literally with Tarot!) and create manageable and joyful consistency with their practices.

In our episode today, we talk about her story, beginning on our spiritual paths, awakening, growing up in religious environments and questioning who “god” is, the instagram/tiktok unhealthiness that we can see in the spiritual world, frequency and vibration, spiritual teams and how she connected to hers, hearing our inner voice, her Reiki and Tarot healing practice, signs, free will, divine timing, spirit babies and motherhood, and we finish the conversation talking about manifestation and co-creation. We also talk a good bit about money and Frances shares the guidance from Spirit that her clients often receive when they come to her about money. In this episode, our host Gaby Azorsky speaks with Andrea Bordeaux. Andrea is an Intuitive Visionary Guide, a channel of Sacred Knowledge, and an Energy Healer. As a survivor of intense trauma, she possess a deep well of knowledge with difficult life experiences, and through her healing journey was able to unlock and fortify her Divine gifts. Andrea is a passionate advocate for Women and understands that the spiritual healing of Women is the key to our liberation, and therefore the restoration of Earth and all of it’s inhabitants. Andrea offers high level mentorship, intuitive guidance sessions, inner child healing, and in the future will be having retreats.

Gaby first saw her walking the land at the Spirit Weavers Gathering in June, and she was (is) RADIANT. She taught a class titled Selfish Bitch Embodiment, and Gaby thought: “Yup, I’d like to invite her onto Spiral Deeper.”

In our episode today, we talk about how she lives nomadically in her bus and her morning routine and how structure supports her on the road. We vulnerably hear about her childhood, how she grew up in a military family, experienced abuse and bullying, and how that lead her to speaking her voice and standing up for herself. We talk about her marriage and how that brought her to facing her own “shit”. We talk about one of her offerings which is a class called Selfish Bitch, and all the things that come with that: saying “no”, identifying as a “people pleaser”, social conditioning, victimhood, radical responsibility for ourselves, voicing our desires, knowing ourselves, working with Human Design, and so much more.

In this episode, our host Gaby Azorsky speaks with Liz Migliorelli, also known as Sister Spinster. Liz is a Flower Essence Practitioner, herbalist, educator and storyteller who lives in the Hudson Valley of New York on Munsee-Lenape-Esopus lands. Liz’s work is informed by the old folk magic and medicine of her ancestors. 

Liz has an active clinical practice where she works with folks one-on-one in collaboration with the plants. Her work as a clinical and community herbalist involves medicinal herbs, flower essences, personal ritual and nutritional recommendations in a harm-reduction framework. For over ten years, she has been teaching classes on medicine making, folk magic traditions, storytelling, hearth-culture, ancestral remembrance and mythopoetic herbalism. 

A few sentences from her website which made me smile: Liz belongs to a lineage of spinsters, apple romancers and herb-cunning folk. She is an animist who is in cahoots with birch trees and serpentine saints. Some of her favorite divination tools are beeswax, murky waters and chickens. She sings to flowers, grows a lot of garlic and makes regular offerings to Venus. She is fiercely devoted to Enchantment in all realms.

I learned about Liz from a friend Micah, hi Micah!, who suggested I check out Liz’s work when I was visiting them and their partner (my good friend Blair) in Berkeley earlier this year. If you listened to Almost Heaven Radio!, you may recall me mentioning Blair and Micah as the people who also introduced me to Waxahatchee! 

I have loved flower essences for years, since first being romanced by them in my early twenties. After I learned of Liz and her work, I enjoyed reading every page on her website, her course descriptions, her flower medicines and formulas. I decided to order one of hers called Saturn Return, which is not currently available to order, and found it incredibly supportive during March of this year. 

In our conversation today, we talk about Liz’s upbringing in New York, plants and enchantment, how she started studying herbalism, the folk way, and flower essences, and of course we talk sooo much about flower essences, ceremony and ritual, intuition, vibrational remedies, plant allies, and her clinical practice.

In this episode, our host Gaby Azorsky speaks with Tonya Papanikolov. Tonya is the Founder of Rainbo — Rainbo is a space for optimizing your mind, body and spirit with fungi. Offering potent and high quality adaptogenic mushrooms to bring radical health and harmony to people and the planet — a Holistic Nutritionist and Educator, Kundalini Yoga Teacher, and is currently a MS Mind-Body Medicine student. As I mention in our episode, I first found her years ago through her blog and holistic nutrition sharing, The Well Woman. I remember loving her recipes and seeing how she looked at the world, and how soft and foresty her imagery was. 

Over the years through the inter-webs we have connected, and now we are both in the Los Angeles area. Which is so lovely!

In this episode, our host Gaby Azorsky speaks with Ariella Daly. This is part two of a two part series! 

Ariella is a beekeeper and teacher. She is a voice in the wave of bee people devoted to the preservation of the bee and pollinators in their own sovereignty. Here because she believes in the wild, divine power of nature as both teacher and healer.  For the last 14 years, she has been a devoted student of the bee, bee animism, womb wisdom, and history and folklore around bees and bee priestesses of Ancient Greece. Ariella’s approach to beekeeping falls under the labels of natural and bee-centric beekeeping. She is primarily interested in the relationship between beekeeper and bees, what we can learn from the hive as a colony and what we can offer to the bees, both in a single hive and as a species. 

From Ariella’s instagram: 

Hymenoptera. The veil winged. She who carries souls between the worlds. Descended from stars. Born of bull. Born of lion. Melissae: the bee nymph and Mistress to Python.

The bond between bee and woman goes as far back as recorded history. She, of the in between places.

When the Melissae nymphs recused infant Zeus from his all-consuming father, they hid him away in a cave and raised him on sweet ambrosia: honey and milk.

When bees came to earth they arrived in a long comet of starts. Seven of them remain to this day in the heavens. The seven Bees. The seven sisters. The Pleiades. When the tiny cluster of stars rise in the spring, honey bees cover the earth and bounty returns to the land.

They say the first brewer was a woman and she brewed mead from her bees who told her the secrets of their intoxicating elixir.

The great Greek prophetess was of the bee. Most revered oracles of the west, their era spanning centuries. The priestesses of Delphi were called Melissae, meaning bee, and the Pythia offering prophecy, was called the Delphic Bee.

The bee offers the hum of life. The sound of creation. She, lover to flower and sunlight. Beloved companion of darkness. She who dances through the dim golden halls of her honeycomb cathedral.

In our conversation today, we talk about magick, animism, imagination, ancient cultures and mythology, natural beekeeping, the hive, how they sound and feel and look, how we listen and relate, swarms, sovereignty, the bees and the flowers, eros, the beloved, the rhythms of beekeeping, and dreams.

In this episode, our host Gaby Azorsky speaks with Hamsa Fae (she/they) to Spiral Deeper. Hamsa is a Vietnamese-French poet, performance artist, and model who is native to Los Angeles. She uses memory as medium for dreamscaping the tragedies and desires within the Asian American diaspora and trans ethereality.

Her poetry book, Blood Frequency, was shortlisted by C&R Press and the Diasporic Vietnamese Artists Network in 2022. She has (forthcoming) publications in diaCRITICS, Vănguard, new words {press}, Yale School of Environment, and Fruitslice. Her solo-exhibition, Trans Aphrodisia, was in February 2024 at The Brown Building. 

In our conversation today, we talk about Reiki, traveling between realms of being, love letters, poetry, mystery, beauty, rotting, composting, self-expression and creativity, femininity, facilitating safe and inclusive spaces, the binary, language, trans myth, and at the end Hamsa graces us with a beautiful song. 

I learned so much from Hamsa in our conversation today, full of poetry, giggles, learning, and mystery. I feel grateful for her teachings and her art.

She is also the author of a handful of wonderful books which you can find via her website ~ Holistic Healing After Abortion, Holistic Healing After Miscarriage, Mapping the Yoniverse, and my personal favorite, Please Bleed: Plants & Practical Magic for If You Accidentally Get Sperm in Your Vagina, plus a few more. 

We share the philosophies that healthy sexuality & fertility are sources of joy & power and that the cycles of nature have much to teach us about how to thrive. 

I found her work via The School of the Sacred Wild where she was a guest expert lecturer, and taught us about the relationship between Orgasm and Oxytocin. I learned so much and went on to listen to her on other podcasts, and especially appreciated her inclusivity and love of etymology.  

In our conversation today, we talk about womb wisdom, cycling, menstruation, language, fertility awareness, ovulation, herbs, navigating abortion and miscarriage, and general womb vibes.
