Meanwhile, Manon embarks on a side quest to get spidersilk from the mythical Stygian spiders. Most people have to bargain for this priceless material, but not Manon. With the help of Abraxos she manages to flee with her life and the spidersilk. Celaena and Rowan have a much needed tattoo therapy session where she discloses more about her past than she’s ever shared with anyone. Their conversation makes it clear their relationship has turned the corner for the better, at least we hope.

Unfortunately, Celaena is now somewhat of a lone wolf as she sets some boundaries in an attempt to keep her friends and herself safe. Fortunately for us as the readers, we are privy to her real plans and some new information regarding the night of her capture. Later in the tunnels, our new friend, Mort the door knocker, has a cryptic message for Celaena as she seeks answers in Elena’s tomb.

Welcome back to “Keeping Up With The Targaryens!” Today’s episode was full of drama, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. The family comes together for a funeral to honor Lady Laena, but don’t worry, we caught all those loaded looks too! As Rhaenyra and Daemon finally come together (as more than family), little Aemond makes a bold move for Vhagar - which costs him an eye. A knife fight ensues. In the aftermath Alicent begs for revenge on behalf of her son, but Viserys being Viserys, simply commands everyone to just get along! The episode ends with Laenor’s great escape - which we hope, brings him the freedom he’s always wanted.

Cheers! We’ve reached the end of Throne of Glass! This book marked the end of many things: the end of a love triangle, the end of evil Cain, and the end of this bizarre champions tournament. So, now it’s time to kick back and relax…PSYCHE! 

The mountain of information we downloaded in these final chapters was enough to keep us up for days - we learn more about wyrdmarks, that Nehemia has been working OT on behalf of the glass castle, and that our mysterious King is much more involved than he alludes.

Welcome to the Booked on Fantasy Podcast! We are so excited to kick off our deep dive of Throne of Glass with chapters 1-7.

We are introduced to Celaena Sardothien who has been a slave in the Salt Mines of Endovier for the past year. She is offered a chance at freedom by the Crown Prince of Adarlan, Dorian Havilliard. Celaena will compete as Dorian's sponsored competitor in a competition to become the king's champion, if she wins she must serve the King of Adarlan for a set period of time and then her name will be cleared and she will be granted her freedom. Celaena agrees and begins the journey to the Glass Castle where she tries to interact with the stoic and disciplined Captain of the Royal Guard, Chaol Westfall. They arrive at the Glass Castle where Celaena is cleaned and pampered and begins her preparations for the competition.
