Firefly Episode 14 "Objects in Space"/Bunheads Episode 14 "The Astronaut and the Ballerina"

This week's Firefly introduces a man by the name of Early: a complex, interesting, possibly mad character that we'd love to see more of. Unfortunately this was the last episode... Meanwhile, Bunhead Ginny is driven to madness by some parental drama. AND... coincidentally, (or maybe not? AMY!?) Early and Ginny both process a reveal concerning violence towards dogs!? While Early lurks on the Serenity, Melanie lurks on some roller derby practices. Michelle cosplays as early Season 1 Lorelai, while Kaylee cosplays as ole feet-on-the-lap Rory. Oh! And those other roller derby names were Scary Skate and Crashley.

Bunheads Episode 13 "I'll Be Your Meyer Lansky"/Firefly Episode 13 "Heart of Gold"

Fanny and Michelle take steps to better utilize their land, while Inara enlists the Serenity crew to help an old friend defend her brothel. Both episodes feature characters being forced to the ground, as well as villainous characters who are passionate about theater and getting what they want. We find out that neither Michelle nor Inara's friend finished school. It's hard to say which location features more boobs: the brothel or Charlie's bedroom. Both episodes end with a woman deciding to leave someone she loves. And Bryan's gone from not knowing Ginny's name to just calling everyone Melanie.

We're willing to concede this is more of a coincidence than something borrowed, but both episodes also happen to feature actors that Joss and Amy love to use in all their shows. Michelle tortures a room full of people completely by accident, while Malcom gets tortured by a creepy old man who's just super into torture. Michelle and Malcom are both caught in the middle of lovers who aren't communicating very well. Michael disappears partway through this episode, just like Malcom's right ear. We disagree about Fanny's ADORABLE outfit, but agree that henchmen outfits are pretty stupid. Plus Bryan tells a story about encounter with an older woman in our neighborhood, and we tell you about a special room in our apartment! #beinmybunk

While our Firefly friends do a heist to steel drugs from the rich, Michelle elaborately lies to the town, so she can have some grocery store coffee. Wash and Kaylee build an emergency vehicle out of junk, while Fanny attempts to cast a Nutcracker with inferior dancers. The usually graceful Ginny goes tumbling down the bleachers, much like all the rando space cops who fall to the ground after a glowstick attack. Both River and Michelle get a "gift" from their "sibling". Both episodes mention ducks for no reason. And names were really a struggle this week, guys...

Malcom disparately needs to find a part in order to save his crew. Meanwhile Boo receives a part completely out of the blue. We learn that Inara has almost as many rules as Fanny, and that some of both their rules have recently been broken. We learn that Zoë was initially not a fan of Wash, so perhaps there's hope for Boo to come around on Carl. Gadot is not in this episode of Bunheads, but a version of him showed up in this week's Firefly. Stacey learns the word boff, something both Michelle and Kaylee partake in this episode. And we won a trophy in our homeland!

One's a familiar face from Jayne's past, back for revenge. The other's a familiar face from our Gilmore Slayer past, back as a sh*tty plumber, and they both have one eye. Coincidence, Amy!?! It's hard to imagine which smells worse, Fanny's mildewy dressing room, or Jayne's muddy planet. Also which is more disgusting, mudder's milk or that fried food buffet the bunheads consumed. Neither Michelle nor the Magistrate's son feel like grownups, and later both Sasha and the Magistrate's son act out in a big way to get adults to notice them. And Bryan puts his spin on a Olsen Twins classic.

One's a trained companion gone rouge, and one's a dress shop owner who hosts a book club at her out-of-town friend's house, but both of these ladies are trying to be someone else today. Both must find a way to sneak into/out of vehicle, but opt not to do it by seducing women. Both episodes feature unusual outfits, one made of teddy bears and one made for a gun. Bunheads Episode 5 "Money for Nothing"/Firefly Episode 5 "Safe"

This week the bunheads AND River get to express themselves through dance, at least until the forces of evil enter. For River, evil is kidnappers; for the bunheads, it's grocery bags. Malcom negotiates a fair price for the cows he's been flying around, while Michelle negotiates her way into a teen hangout after she can't negotiate financial sense into Fanny. We meet more family members of both Simon and Rico, who've both made notable fashion choices. River almost gets burnt at the stake. Boo should probably burn her clothes. And we definitely were NOT part of a cult.

Both Malcom and Sasha have been a bit snotty lately, so they offer Kaylee/Boo a dress/pointe shoes in hopes of winning back their friendship. Boo and Summer briefly change their identities in order to trick someone who could decide their fate. Inara has two men fighting over her on the dance floor, while Michelle struggles to find a man to do anything about her dance floor. Both episodes feature... catering? (Hey, it's not great, but it's a connection!) And Stacey completely forgets about the word carnivore, but what she said made sense... right?

Bunheads Episode 3 "Inherit the Wind"/Firefly Episode 3 "Bushwhacked"

Uh oh! Our lead characters have gone and gotten themselves arrested for being somewhere they shouldn't be. Also both of them spend this episode acquiring property from the recently deceased and discovering strange men in the homes they invited themselves into. The Serenity crew discovers a bunch of dead bodies, which somehow have way less of a stench than the mac n' cheese Boo's mom made. Both Boo and Malcom are forced into being in front on their quests to get the bad boy, and Bryan shares his version of a classic movie he's never seen.

Well friends, we've reached the end of the Buffy Season 8 comics. They started off a little weird, then got so much weirder and more pornographic than we ever could have imagined. Buffy's straight-up a super hero now, though we're still not sure we understand why. You'll be happy to know, Giles' horses are still in the picture, though who has them might surprise you. We did it! We finished all of Gilmore Girls and recorded our longest episode ever! Probably our longest intro ever too, due to some neighbor drama and lingering thoughts about bidets. For as many issues as the revival series has, we really enjoyed this episode with its barrage of old characters and tear-jerking scenes. We do our best to figure out the meaning of whales and what the heck the show is trying to say about money. The final four words weren't quite what Byran predicted, but he did get some of them right. And we hope we didn't make you snort your coffee with that one thing.

It's Wookie week! Rory still can't figure out her life, and Lorelai's is maybe starting to crumble a bit as well. We get to see a lot of old familiar faces in this episode, as well as one we've never seen. We take a trip back to Chilton where we get a whole lotta Headmaster, and liiiittle bit of the side of fake Tristan's face. It's hard to tell which is more impressive, how tall Paris' house is or how high she got her foot in the air. We loved to hate all that nonesense Sandy Says did with her hands. Plus our water might be killing us, but not as fast as our superintendent killed our old chair.

We've got some notes, per ushe, but we're really digging the comics so far! ...despite the super creepy, possibly problematic, underground slime monster. Buffy's back with a full slayer army, a big ole slayer budget, and big ole lil sis. The big bad seems to be a Marvel villain with a hairy chest and a secret identity... fer NOW! We get a lot of fun cameos, a very satisfying amount of Dark Giles, but also a lot more bath stuff than we expected. One of use has a work trip, and we've finally booked our trip to Italy! We're kicking off Season 8 by heading back to a snowy Stars Hollow to see what our old friends are up to! Some things have changed a lot in the last 9 years, but mostly things are weirdly pretty much the same. Luke and Lorelai don't seem to have had any meaningful conversations since we last saw them, unless you count the time Luke said, "That's the kid." Of course we were excited to see a classic Gilmore kitchen fight. We were just shocked to see Rory's bare feet. Bryan's got a wild theory about Paul involving and Doyle/Johnathan. And overall, we really enjoyed watching this!

This week, we summarize our thoughts on both series overall. We choose 10 favorite episodes from each show for a hypothetical weekend binge. Bryan can't believe Stacey didn't pick "Haunted Leg" but if you're counting, Bryan actually picked 11 Buffy episodes, so maybe she would have if she knew you could cheat. We make some final comparisons, realizing there's an interesting coloration regarding family. Somehow Charmed got an extra Season, so we finish reading its IMDb summaries. (Who the hell is Billie!?) But mostly just a lot of love for these two shows we're very grateful to have shared with each other and our journey with all of you.

In this special episode, we recap our thoughts on Season 7. Gilmore Girls S7 E22 "Bon Voyage"/Buffy S7 E22 "Chosen"

Lorelai and Spike receive necklaces from their loves, as well as the bigger expressions of love they've been waiting for. Lorelai and Faith don't have time to be sad, so they channel those emotions into fighting Turok-Hans and power ironing. Rory and Buffy are still conflicted about their love lives, but have come to accept there'll be time for all that later. Both episodes feature callbacks to the ends of the pilots, as well as what we're calling "Deus ex Hugos". And we're so grateful you've come on this journey with us. Please stay tuned! Buffy S7 E21 "End of Days"/Gilmore Girls S7 E21 "Unto the Breach"

Things get a lot more interesting for Buffy and Rory after receiving their respective objects, but will these objects be... the last surprise? The lore of Buffy's scythe comes kind of out of nowhere, but so does Rory's sudden acceptance of her uncertain future. Andrew and Anya get into a playful wheelchair fight, while Taylor is wheelchair-bound after a tragic foot spa mishap. However, Caleb's bones might be even more brittle than Taylor's. Rory shares an emotional goodbye. Buffy shares an intimate hello. And holy sh*t, there's only one more episode to discuss!

Gilmore Girls S7 E20 "Lorelai? Lorelai?"/Buffy S7 E20 "Touched"

Rory and Buffy's worlds are crumbling around them, so they hide in beds that may or may not be theirs. Lorelai and Spike "take the stage" to cheer up their girls but soon find themselves in the middle of beautiful declarations of love. Luke's mysteriously back to wearing his old hat. (We did later remember it was was Rory who pointed out the new one.) Meanwhile many of the Buffy characters aren't really wearing much of anything. Neither shows ends in a proposal, but both end in "cliffies" with ominous audio over the credits. And can YOU say petri dish dress?

Faced with big choices, Rory says no to the ProJo after much deliberation, and after nearly no deliberation, Buffy says yes to leading her crew into a super sus winery. Stars Hollow and Xander's apartment are overrun by hay and girls respectively. Taylor and Caleb get to live out their fantasies re: hay and murdering girls (respectively). Caleb and Michel complain about dirty things they don't like. Logan and Spike give us bedtime abs. Faith and April don't have much in common, but they're both back in town. Plus Bryan tells a wild story about his grandpa.

Buffy S7 E17 "Lies My Parents Told Me"/Gilmore Girls S7 E17 "Gilmore Girls Only"

Whether via road trip to visit an old mother figure, or a trip down mommy lane brought on by a magic slug, everyone's confronting their mama drama. Principal Wood deals with his by redecorating his garage and donning some freaky fighting gloves, while Richard concerningly dresses up like one of his mom's old lovers. As Lorelai struggles with the idea of Rory leaving home soon, Spike's mom worries her limp son will never. Both Lorelai and Spike recite terrible poems. Both shows feature recast characters. Plus Bryan reveals way too much about his mom's eggs.

Gilmore Girls S7 E16 "Will You Be My Lorelai Gilmore?"/Buffy S7 E16 "Storyteller"

Andrew's past and Luke's boat come back to haunt them, launching both men on missions to prove they can change. Lorelai and Andrew broker peace between the Kims and Xanya respectively. (Members of both parties wind up very happy in a bed.) Rory struggles to find a particular bald man, while Andrew has to see a particular bald man whether he likes it or not. Andrew and the citizens of Stars Hollow show off their drawing skills. Sunnydale High and Logan's apartment have concerning open flames. And we're not doin' middles!

Buffy S7 E15 "Get It Done"/Gilmore Girls S7 E15 "I Am Kayak, Hear Me Roar"

Whether they like it or not, Lorelai and Buffy realize they may have to continue going it alone. Buffy/Richard unleash anger upon their houses, expressing resentment towards The First/Fish. While Rory has a confusing reunion with Logan's dad, Spike has a powerful reunion with a jacket from Principal Wood's mom. After executing what seem like successful power moves, Buffy and Logan receive grim news regarding their recent business decisions. We get brief appearances from Luke and the cheese man. And we say the phrase "toilet holes" a lot more than you'd expect.

We interrupt our regularly scheduled programing...

We're so sorry, everyone, but there's no regular podcast episode this week. As much as we would have loved to have given you one, it's been a bit of a crazy week. Stacey had a big work event to prep for, and her niece came to stay with us for 5 days. The next 2 weeks worth of episodes are all watched and recorded, but unfortunately there just wasn't time to finish editing the next one. We promise we'll be back next week with a long, hilarious Episode 7.14. Christopher and the Scoobies certainly aren't thrilled about the unexpected appearance of Luke and Warren, respectively. Willow copes with her grief by buying a gun, while Emily copes by buying way too much fish. After experiencing sudden pains, Richard and Spike find out they need to have serious medical procedures. Christopher isn't there when Lorelai needs him, whereas The Initiative is always there... waiting... in the darkness... Plus Bryan was wrong about a certain ex being in this episode, and Stacey was wrong about a certain European being dead!

Gilmore Girls S7 E12 "To Whom it May Concern"/Buffy S7 E12 "Potential"

Dawn and Christopher realize they may not be "the one." These realizations are narrated by the women they can never seem to win over. As Andrew continues his ascent into good guy territory, Anna takes a straight nose dive into villain town. Rory makes amends with Lucy. Buffy reunites with Clem. Clem and Jackson both revel some upsetting secrets. (We don’t see Clem's, but Jackson's is inarguably worse.) Both episodes end by tugging on heartstrings. (one pretty literally) P.S. This one gets derailed a FEW times, and we laugh harder than we've ever laughed on the podcast.

Buffy S7 E11 "Showtime"/Gilmore Girls S7 E11 "Santa's Secret Stuff"

The OG Scoobies sneak off to the kitchen where they wordlessly make a plan, and Lorelai vents to Rory using a whole string o' words (and garland). While working on a character reference for Luke, Lorelai experiences writer's block, and while experiencing the Turok-Han, Buffy gets thrown through a block of wood. Both Lane and Andrew desperately want to be treated like normal humans. Both April and new potential slayer, Eve, are not where they're supposed to be. And make sure you stay until the end to hear a wild story about Bryan slowly eating a marshmallow.

Merry Christmas, everyone! Luke and Christopher celebrate by getting into a fight in the town square, while Buffy and the Turok-Han get into the holiday spirit by tussling under the old Christmas tree lot. People in both shows seem particularily concerned with their housemate's sugary cereal intake. Luke's lawyer/Giles may not have the most sunny outlooks about their upcoming custody battle/apocalypse, but Buffy and Emily assert confidence, giving powerful speeches to close out the episodes. Buffy S7 E9 "Never Leave Me"/Gilmore Girls S7 E9 "Knit, People, Knit!"

Whether it's to restrain a murderous ex or to save the town bridge... again... this week our heroines are gonna need a lot of string. Buffy and Lorelai's communities struggle to adjust to them having a new man around, and both women would really like their man to change. Marty joins Spike in the "being cold and weird" camp, and Rory joins both of them in enjoying an upside-down beverage. Both episodes made it a point to remind us that Danny Strong is not large. We've got some questions for a butcher, and we talk about yarn for a lot longer than you'd expect.

Gilmore Girls S7 E8 "Introducing Lorelai Planetarium"/Buffy S7 E8 "Sleeper"

After mingling with some new people out on the town, Rory and Spike come to the realization that they were maybe kinda mean recently. Also, for different reasons, they both move out of their rent-free apartments in the end. Rory has an encounter with a man who really wants a piece of her cheek, and Spike meets a girl who underestimates what he can do to a neck. Anya pretends to be horny for Spike in order to avoid death, while April pretends she's not dying in order to go to her first boy-girl party. Plus we learn all about trundles and grundles!

Buffy S7 E7 "Conversations with Dead People"/Gilmore Girls S7 E7 "French Twist"

Both shows have 3 separate stories, following our female leads or their friends, and twist... they all have twist endings. Buffy and Rory show a little vulnerability, but end up in uncomfortable situations with some guys they used to know, after finding out they have mutual acquaintances. Spike, Lorelai, and Christopher go walking around late at night and maybe make some bad decisions. Dawn and Lane have some difficulty communicating with their mothers. And something really awkward happened with a delivery person in the middle of Charmed...

It might be because there's a love spell in the air, or because it's parents weekend, but let's just say things are getting a little "adult" on campus this week. April kicks Lane's ass at chess, while gravity kicks Dawn's ass at cheerleading tryouts. April and Dawn both leave a personal item behind. Anya must face the consequences after conjuring a murderous spider demon, and Rory's not exactly thrilled about the leggy creature Logan brought back from London. This Buffy episode dives deep into Anya's backstory, while Gilmore Girls takes a shallow wade into Richard's history with radishes. The Buffy writers gifted us a bonus musical number! The AUDACITY of that police officer, suggesting Emily Gilmore take a breathalyzer! Seriously though, Buffy, how dare you show up in the middle of the night accusing that man. While Lorelai and Christopher go on a series of bad dates, Buffy "speed dates" a bunch of troubled teens. We learn Buffy and Rory like to borrow clothes without asking, and we learn April and Cassie like reading for fun! Buffy S7 E3 "Same Time, Same Place"/Gilmore Girls S7 E3 "Lorelai's First Cotillion"

One's a sweet little girl learning etiquette in Connecticut, and the other's a flesh-eating demon straight out of children's nightmares, who likes to take his time when he eats, okay? Rory and the Scoobies are both having trouble connecting with their recently-banished-to-England loved ones. Willow, Buffy, and Xander may not being in the same place at the same time, but maybe Lorelai and Christopher finally are? Somebody better make sure Dawn and Paul Anka don't barf. And we try our best to understand Cotillions and the Sunnydale International Airport.

While running some errands, Lorelai has a hurtful confrontation with Luke on the streets of Stars Hollow. Meanwhile, over in Sunnydale, Nancy has a run-in with her big ole murdery worm boyfriend. Buffy dreams up the phrase, "From beneath you, it devours," while the Gilmore Girls spend their afternoon devouring dessert sushi. Luke spends some quality time with Liz, TJ, and tuna loaf. Spike spends some quality time with his new rat friends. Both Spike and Lane have a lot going on inside their bodies. And we've got some questions about necks.

Buffy S7 E1 "Lessons"/Gilmore Girls S7 E1 "The Long Morrow"

Rory and Dawn receive futuristic presents that we'll learn about later in the episode. While Rory tries to understand her present, Buffy also encounters a mysterious object that's meaning she must uncover. Willow and Logan are thriving in England, one at their job, and one at their new ability to feel the earth and see its teeth. Kirk crashes into Luke's, because of Taylor's latest whim, and Dawn crashes through a floor, because of regular Sunnydale stuff. While Spike deals with having a soul, we get to watch Luke's leave his body. And we've got some hot takes on 90s cartoons!

Apologies: Stacey's audio sounds a little more muffled than normal, and Bryan must have been excited to talk about Gilmore Girls, cuz he sounds real close to that mic.

Buffy S6 E22 "Grave"/Gilmore Girls S6 E22 "Partings"

It's the Season 6 finale! Buffy, Dawn, Lorelai, Christopher... they all got each other's backs and are closer than ever. The floor's got Giles' back, as that's where he spends a good portion of the episode. An English coven has sent Giles to stop Willow from destroying the world, and Rory sends Logan to England to stop him from destroying his liver. This might be an understatement but... Willow and Lorelai are dealing with a LOT of emotions. Both episodes end with tearful embraces. Taylor might be the BTK Killer? And Bryan's got beef with Satan... oh, and forks...

They've darkened their eyes, and are forcing someone else drive them down the highway in a huge vehicle. Whether they're on a mission to murder two lackeys or to gift their daughter her dream home, Willow and Emily are dram-a! As Willow fully succumbs to her drug of choice ("magics"), Sookie and Jackson do everything they can to rid their lives of drugs ("pickles"). Danny Strong teams up with Paris to hold Logan hostage in his own apartment, while simultaneously BEING held hostage by the Scoobies at the Magic Box. Plus Stacey tries to explain South Dakota to Bryan.

Buffy S6 E20 "Villains"/Gilmore Girls S6 E20 "Super Cool Party People"

Whether it's because Lorelai's taken over their birthday party, or because they sucked a bunch of books into their body, the girls are getting makeovers!! We're a little preoccupied the lax hospital security in both of these episodes, oh because people from both shows are dealing with collapsed lungs. Both shows introduce us to someone with creepy blue eyes. Both have villainous men getting their comeuppance. It's up for debate if Warren's puzzle box was inspired by a Snitch, but if it is, both shows have Harry Potter references. And someone please... explain what trials are!

Oh man, BOTH episodes end with major characters being seriously injured and us not knowing if they're gonna be okay!? And though very different, both episodes have a scene that's quite hard to watch. Based on the amount of fruit in Andrew's drink, it is very possible that Kirk hired a former Bronze employee to be one of his yummy bartenders. Zack's digging his new robe almost as much as Tara and Willow are enjoying disrobing. Much like Lane's bachelorette party, Clem's boys' night doesn't quite go as planned. And we've got some new neighbor drama!

Buffy S6 E18 "Entropy"/Gilmore Girls S6 E18 "The Real Paul Anka"

Having not forgiven Xander and Logan for their recent betrayals, Anya and Rory turn to the resident bad boys for assistance with revenge. No one puts together that Anya is once again a demon, despite being about as subtle as Lorelai is with her disdain for Luke's suitcase. Willow and Tara rebuild their relationship over coffee, while Luke and April strengthen theirs on a school bus. Spike's very much over being called a "thing" just as we imagine that random girl at Luke's doesn't LOVE being called "it." Both end on songs with lyrics, and wait... who mows Buffy's lawn?

Gilmore Girls S6 E15 "A Vineyard Valentine"/Buffy S6 E15 "As You Were"

Luke & Lorelai and Xander & Anya are beyond stressed about their upcoming weddings, so both pitch the idea of eloping. Surprise! Mitchum and Riley drop by unexpectedly, despite an overwhelming lack of demand. Luke reminds Lorelai he loves her, which is maybe news to Lorelai, while Spike reminds Buffy he loves her upon request. Not sure what's more confusing, the hours of operation at the Doublemeat Palace or what you're supposed to do on Martha's Vineyard after 9:30pm. Both episodes feature a very out-of-place salad. Plus... the Jingle Man is at it again!

While the men in their lives tenaciously seek their attention, Rory spills her guts in therapy, Lane fully displays her rage, and Buffy is literally transparent. While both Spike and Zack show up to "get an object of theirs," both Spike and Logan inconveniently time visits right before their gals are about to meet with social workers. Lorelai and Anya are both deep into wedding planning. Lorelai and Xander are both into walking in on people's bedroom activities unannounced. And Stacey's pretty sure Bryan's "tea cozy" was just a towel... but not the podcast towel.

Gilmore Girls S6 E9 "The Prodigal Daughter Returns"/Buffy S6 E9 "Smashed"

After half a season, Rory finally reunites with her mother, and after 3 full seasons, Amy finally reunites with her human body. While Amy catches up on everything's she's missed, Luke learns he's also missed out on quite a bit over the past 12 years or so. Xander is concerned about Willow's excessive use of magic. Zack is concerned with Rory's completely normal use of paper towels. Emily has a tantrum on a plane. Spike hijacks a Boba Fett. Both episodes end with much-anticipated embraces, and wow that was one wild episode of Charmed!

Buffy S6 E8 "Tabula Rasa"/Gilmore Girls S6 E8 "Let Me Hear Your Balalaikas Ringing Out"

A wayward spell makes the Scoobies forget who they are, while a wayward ex tries to help Rory remember who she is. Willow and Tara AND Rory and Logan all have huge couple fights. Willow gets herself into trouble for using magic to solve her problems, and as usual, Logan tries to solve his problems by using money. Both episodes reference something being someone's prerogative, giving someone a month, as well as blame and calling someone a jerk. Both also feature seemingly innocent books that incite a whole lot of chaos. And is Paul Anka even real? We hope not.

*Note: Apologies, Bryan's audio is not as clear in this episode as usual. We suspect a setting wasn't toggled correctly, and it got recorded through his computer's internal mic instead of his podcast mic.

Some youngins from both shows learn they shouldn't go lurking around people's property late at night unless they want to be invited in, and turns out some of them DO want that. While Dawn nearly gets turned into a vampire, Lorelai finds herself dealing with sores and boils. Giles and Richard worry that their "daughters" aren't living up to their full potential. Xander and Logan are both a little freaked out by the idea of marriage, despite Anya and Emily wanting to get that locked down ASAP. While Buffy and Paris are forced into blue-collar jobs, Rory is coerced into white-collar event planning. Buffy and Rory must face their demons: for Buffy, literal ones per ushe, and for Rory... the Huntzbergers. While 3 childish boys throw a series of trials at Buffy, a group of caffeinated children throws fistfuls of glitter at Lorelai. Tiffs ensue when Lorelai suggests Luke go camping alone and Spike drags Buffy along for poker night. Both episodes end with poignant glances from the girls' current father figures. Emily delivers an epic monologue. And we say sheath a lot.

While Willow and Rory continue to grow more confident in their abilities (witchcraft/hosting), Buffy and Logan are suddenly overwhelmed by the responsibilities of adulthood (paying mortgages/inheriting billion-dollar companies). Lorelai forgives Sookie for that stunt she pulled, but Giles does NOT forgive Willow for sh*t! Both episodes feature adults sleeping in living rooms. Both episodes end with girls being invited on spontaneous trips out of town. Though Xander can't commit to adulting, Nick Offerman's character is VERY adult.
