On this week’s episode of the Style Masterclass Podcast, we are talking about what to do when your clothing doesn’t match. What do you do when you have a closet full of clothes that don’t match and you keep saying “I have nothing to wear.”
You’ll learn:
On this week’s episode of the Style Masterclass Podcast, we’re talking about a concept I created called “Justification Stacking”. I’m going to explain this concept to you and demonstrate it with style analogies and then we’ll talk about how you can take it outward.
You’ll learn:
When you’re so acclimatized to solely focus on your needs, it can be difficult to move towards thinking and doing things that you want but don’t need. But overcoming this thinking can make all the difference. No justification stacking required, let’s spend our mental energy elsewhere.
On this week’s episode of the Style Masterclass Podcast, we’re talking about something I’ve been thinking about for a long time. Sometimes my clients are not looking at themselves in the mirror at all, and when they do, they’re very nitpicky towards themselves, does this sound familiar? I think there’s a real benefit in getting some objectivity from your own thoughts to examine, rewrite, and even change them. So let’s talk about it.
You’ll learn:
You may be focusing on the external change more than the inward changes. But the inward work is what’s going to make the external work long-lasting. Remember to ask yourself, how can I support you today?
On this week’s episode of the Style Masterclass Podcast, we’re talking about something I see very often with clients. The dream is going to your closet where you can pull garments that fit you, put together an outfit and sashay out the house feeling confident, like yourself, and ready to slay and conquer the day. So let’s talk about what typically happens instead and what you can do about it…
You’ll learn:
No matter what your life looks like, you do NOT have to compromise on feeling like yourself. It is absolutely possible for you. No more compromising required.

On this week’s episode of the Style Masterclass Podcast, we’re talking about summer rhythms. I love the idea of using the word “rhythm” instead of “routine”.
You’ll learn:
Take stock of your rhythms and find a place for a little interruption. Summer rhythms may be different from your fall, winter, and spring rhythms. Think about how that may look in your life. Look at it as an opportunity, you may find it’s SO much better than your current rhythm.
On this week’s episode of the Style Masterclass Podcast, we’re talking about class and classy. No, this is not about how to be more classy. It’s about the way we use these terms and it may not be what you think.
You’ll learn:
What does classy and class really imply when they’re used? I want to create a community that has a sense of belonging where high-achieving women get to examine the rules they’ve been handed and re-write them for themselves. I want to create access rather than obstacles.
On this week’s episode of the Style Masterclass Podcast, we’re talking about enjoying your collections. I’m currently in the process of moving and working on categorizing and going through all the stuff. I’ve found myself questioning how much do I need these things? Let’s talk about it in this episode.

I think there’s a mad genius sometimes to what would be considered a cluttered space. Go through your collections this week and enjoy it.

On this week’s episode of the Style Masterclass Podcast, we’re kicking off Hot Girl Summer and talking about packing while plus-sized.
You’ll learn:
Often times when we try to cram everything in a small space to pack, we may not actually end up with everything that we needed, which doesn't serve us, so why are we doing that to ourselves? You deserve better. You’re allowed to invest in anything you need, that is not vain or silly, you are worth it.

A graduate of Yale College and Harvard Law School, she did what every Ivy League feminist lawyer should do: Quit a prestigious academic career to become a life coach! Her Jewish parents have almost recovered; the fact that she built her business from zero to seven figures in three years didn't hurt. Five years after leaving the law she has taught thousands of women how to identify the ways that sexist socialization impacts their brains, and how to literally rewire their thought patterns to create true authentic confidence from within. Her podcast, UnF*ck Your Brain, which combines evolutionary biology, cognitive psychology, and feminist theory in concrete and practical teachings and tools, has more than 12 million downloads. In 2019 she launched The Clutch, a feminist coaching community aimed at spreading the feminist mindset revolution across the globe. Since then thousands of women have joined and learned how to overcome insecurity, anxiety, imposter syndrome, people-pleasing, and their dependence on external validation. Kara specializes in teaching a step-by-step system that identifies and removes internalized oppression and creates new and unshakeable self-confidence. Because true self-love is a radical act for women, and because women who love themselves are women who change the world.

On this week’s episode of the Style Masterclass Podcast, I’m giving a little bit of a personal story and share with you where I am in the process.
You’ll learn:
We’re all still human. There’s a place where we’re naturally comfortable but there’s friction between this and a longing and desire to switch things up and show up differently, whatever that means to the individual. Let’s work through that together.
On this week’s episode of the Style Masterclass Podcast, I’m talking about taking up a concept I’ve created called “ritual disrobing”. When my clients start to get into the habit of getting dressed and ready, this also results in a quickness to disrobe at the end of the day. Let’s talk about slowing that down.
You’ll learn:
Taking the time to slow down at the end of the day and really pay attention to what went well and what didn’t that way can make a huge difference. Create a ritual for yourself at the end of the day to disrobe.
On this week’s episode of the Style Masterclass Podcast, I’m talking about taking up space. I've talked about this before but today’s episode is more nuanced. I’ll share a recent experience I had about taking up space.
You’ll learn:
Just because society has given us certain ‘rules’, does not mean we need to take them as truth. Notice where you’re trying to shrink, physically or emotionally. You’re absolutely allowed to take up space with your voice and your body.
On this week’s episode of the Style Masterclass Podcast, I’m talking about how you can reset and get dressed again as we transition from the pandemic.

Plain and simple you all are in need of a confidence boost. So many of us think that confidence is something we are born with or something that we can get. It's as if you believe, confidence is an arrival place and once you have it you always have it. I also think that sometimes we believe that confidence comes from a set of actions that we do. If we just perfect these sets of actions, we will automatically be confident. What ends up happening though is if we don't complete the set of tasks in exactly the right way, it erodes confidence. We are placing our ability to feel confident in our ability to complete a set of actions. Actions are not what creates confidence. We create confidence with our thoughts. I know this may seem counter-intuitive. So I'm going to give you a little confidence boost, by debunking some common confidence myths.

A go to outfit is an outfit that you can rely on in a pinch. It is the outfit you can throw on before you head out the door and know you're going to look stylish and feel confident when wearing it. A go-to outfit is different than the regular schleppy clothes you have draped across a chair. A go to outfit must leave you looking stylish and feeling confident. Those are the two first criteria of a go to outfit. The other criteria is that it must be something comfortable. It must be something you actually want to wear. Here's how you create a go to outfit in three easy steps.

The smaller sized shapewear goes on first, then the other layers for smoothing 4. Keeping your skin dry helps you to roll everything off and on. 5. Wiggle around to make sure the shapewear settles into all of your creases so you aren't pinching your fat. OF COURSE YOU CAN ALWAYS DECIDE TO WEAR ONE OR NONE.

Hey Glam Gals! I am so excited to bring to you a new way of approaching this whole self love thing. In my free body image makeover course, I teach women how to start loving their body by choosing one believable thought at a time. That is definitely not going away. But what I have noticed in working with you all of you lovely gals is that convincing you that you can love your WHOLE body may be a bit of a tough sell. This is especially true for my gals who struggle with BDD. So here is what I am proposing. Let's not even start trying to worry about your whole body. You eat a whole pie, one bite at a time. That's how we are going to approach this whole self love thing. Let's not worry about the whole damn pie. First let's taste it, smell it, hold it in our hands. Teeny tiny bits at a time. Same is true of your body. Let's not worry about loving your WHOLE body right this minute. Let's start one eyelash at a time. Stay tuned for this week's podcast episode.

This week's podcast episode is all about why it's ok to suck at style. A bad outfit isn't a sure sign that something is wrong with you or your body. What I'm learning from my Style School students is that we sometimes forget what its like to be a beginner and that is totally okay to suck at something. You won't nail every outfit on the first try. You didn't learn to walk that way either. There was a ton of trial and error. Same is true for learning your sense of style and becoming more confident. The road to style is paved with a lot of ugly outfits. So what? It doesn't mean anything about you unless you think it does. So give yourself some grace this week as you use trial and error to guide you on your way to style & confidence.

A bad outfit is one of the best ways to know where you have further work to do, whether that work is on your actual wardrobe or your thoughts about yourself.
So assuming you believe that there could be an upside to a bad outfit, how do you asses the bad outfit in order to up level your style game. Three simple questions to ask yourself? 1. What will I continue doing? 2. What can I just stop? 3. What can I start doing?

This week's podcast episode is all about one of my favorite coaching tools. I teach you all about asking yourself better questions. I talk about my top five favorite fabulous questions. So many of my glam gals ask themselves shitty questions so they get shitty answers. They ask why am I so fat? why am I so ugly? why can't I ever seem to leave the house on time? Their brain will give them shitty answers. That is what brains are wired to do. Our brains are wired to answer the shitty questions we ask it and not in a kind way either. Our brains will tell us all the reasons we are fat, unworthy, and unstylish. We do this long enough and we start to believe all of the crappy things our brains tell us. We get stuck in a negative thought loop and it becomes our everyday. We can get unstuck. We can get out of that negative thought loop. We can turn this whole negative thought train around. How? By asking our brains better questions. Ask a better question and you'll get a better answer.

On this week's episode of The New Glam Gal Podcast, we are talking about a common quoted fashion rule "No White After Labor Day." I love fashion history and arbitrary fashion rules. You always get to decide whether or not to follow a fashion rule. But you must always remember, they are made up. A human or group of humans got together to make a rule about piles of fabric that are attached to other piles of fabric. You always get to decide whether you want to follow that rule, trend, and/or style. You get to decide whether you want to "break the rules." You always have a choice. If you decide to play along, check your reasons. Are you trying to keep up with the insta-Joneses? Or do you simply wish to keep your white shoes clean? (Tee-hee) Stay tuned as we discuss: 1. This week's podcast episode is all about Time Travelling Closets. This is for my gals who keep items from several decades in their closets. This is for my gals who keep clothing sizes that range from three sizes up to three sizes down (maybe even more). I see you boo boo. The problem with a time travelling closet is that it creates decision fatigue every time you enter your closet. You have to say a 100 little no's to items that simply do not fit, are not your style, and that you wouldn't even buy today. That is exhausting for a brain that is just waking up and trying to get started. So let's give that brain a break. No more weeding through all the NO's every morning. Remove those items from your closet so that the items that: 1. Fit You 2. Fit your sense of style 3. You would buy them today. Are all in the same spot? Easy to see? Music by www.bensound.com
You are good enough.
In case you need to hear it again. You are good enough.
This can be hard to believe. Especially if you have spent your whole life thinking that you aren’t good enough. Its like having a record playing in your mind stuck on repeat “not good enough.” But what if you could turn that record off? Even if just for a moment? What a freaking relief that would be, right?!
This week’s podcast episode is all about how to turn off the “not good enough” record. We have been working on old thought patterns all month long. To check out prior episodes in the series click “I feel fat” and “I don’t feel beautiful.”
When you are in observer mode and can observe your thoughts from a distance, you actually stop thinking them for a moment. Your brain will stop the “not good enough” record from playing, when you stop and pick up that record to look at it. To stop the record and pick it up, practice this process: 1. I am thinking the thought “I am not good enough (or insert your variation of this thought)” 2. This is just a thought I am thinking right now. 3. I am not my thoughts. This puts you into observation mode and brings those “not good enough” thoughts captive. Rinse and repeat. This is especially helpful for my gals who are stuck in self loathing and can’t seem to break free.
The process is based upon the premise that we are not our thoughts. We create thoughts. We can reframe them, change them, and discard them. The YOU that is YOU is separate and apart from your thoughts. Know how I know? Because you can think about your thoughts. You can step back and observe them. Ever ruminate on every single bit of a conversation you had after you had it? The part of you think that can think about your thoughts and observe you in action…that part of you can separate itself from your thoughts. You are not your thoughts. On this week's episode of the New Glam Gal Podcast, we are kicking off our summer beach party. All month long in June we will be discussing getting summer ready, beach ready, swimsuits, style, confidence, and of course BODY ACCEPTANCE.
In this first episode in the series, I want to make sure our mindset is right before walking into any party or event this summer. The first thing I want every woman to remember is YOU ARE ALLOWED TO TAKE UP PUBLIC SPACE no matter your size, weight, or skin color. Summer time is fraught with stories of women being the fat girl at the pool, the fat mom at the party, the plus size woman in the one piece swimsuit. All of it has underlying beneath it is the insidious idea that you have to be certain weight or size in order to take up space in public. This is absolute BS.
In addition to this sneaky thought is the follow up behavior, women scanning the room to look for the woman who they deem to be fatter, uglier, or less attractive so they can feel okay entering a room. Conversely, women who look for the woman they deem the prettiest in the room so they know who to envy. All of the scanning the room can stop when we commit to the idea that we are all allowed to take up space.
So my darling glam gal, your mission should you choose to accept it this week is to
Let's get you beach ready starting with your mindset and working our way to your style.
If you are one of those gals who scans the room to know if its ok for you to be at the party, then I want to you sign up a free coaching call. Let's get you to a place where you are owning your body and any room you walk into. Let's get it glam gal.!

Notice a recurring theme, everything has to FIT you. There is no point in spending thousands of dollars on items that fit. The tag size, brand name, or price doesn't matter. What matters most is that the items you own fit you. That is the key to every stylish wardrobe.
You also don't need a ton of items to get started building a fabulous wardrobe. It takes three key pieces to build a fabulous wardrobe. Once you master fit, you can elevate even the most expensive items to a state of fabulous.
This week we talk about:
- The three key must haves to a fabulous wardrobe
-Why fit is so important
-How inexpensive items can look stylish with the right fit
-Getting the right mindset for building a fabulous wardrobe

Want to know a super amazing style secret that you can implement right away at little to no cost? (I sound like a bad car salesman...) Psst... Here it is.... Keep It Simple Yeah, the secret to amazing style sometimes is just keeping things simple. We set huge style goals, like a wardrobe makeover, then get discouraged because that will require us to overall our whole life and possibly spend money we don't have. However, it seems so sexy to set a huge lofty goal that requires a ton of action because it his highly post-worthy on Instagram. Drinking a glass of water, putting on lotion, or even getting dressed doesn't seem all that Instagram worthy. Buying a new pack of undies that fit, not that sexy. But, making a big pronouncement about a weight loss sounds so much better, than actually journaling your food and sitting with an urge to eat. When we set these big lofty goals, we end up setting ourselves up for failure if we are unwilling to do all of the tiny unsexy in-between stuff. Is the weight loss or wardrobe goal worth it, even if nobody sees you putting in the work? On this week's episode of the New Glam Gal podcast, we talk about: 1. Setting Lofty Goals 2. How lofty goals can sometimes lead to burnout and defeat 3. That we have to learn to walk to our closets before we embark on a climb of the Himalayas 4. How when you KISS IT you are more likely to reach your ultimate desired goal and stay there

On this week's episode of the New Glam Gal Podcast, we talk about one of the most common questions I get. " Should I keep my fat clothes?" The other question I get is "Should I buy a goal outfit?" My clients who are losing weight usually have two piles of clothing in their wardrobes. The pile that is too big and the pile of clothing that is too small. Neither pile of clothing serves them. Most people believe keeping their fat clothes or a skinny outfit is motivation. However, I find it usually demotivates my clients on their weight loss journey. Instead they are like having purposeful little piles of shame all over the house.
Now shame was touted as a big means of motivation in elementary school, thus the naughty chair or a dunce cap. But, now that you are an adult you do not have to choose to carry around either shame device on purpose. So why keep clothing that has the same effect? IT DOES NOT MOTIVATE YOU.
Time to stop using past efforts as a measure of what you can and cannot achieve in the future. A pile of clothes will not prevent you from regaining weight. It will also not shame you into a smaller size. It simply does not have the power. Only you have the power to create a fabulous future.
How do you create a fabulous future? You put that imagination to work for you, instead of against you. Time to get rid of the shame piles and step into that future fabulous woman you always envisioned. Are you with me? Then sign up for a free consultation call.

This week's episode we get personal. (Well, when don't we get personal around here?) Last week, I was cold busted telling my friend "I feel blue." Lucky for me I have good friends who will not take that type of vague language as the real answer. They dig in and they press me for more. Tell me about that. Tell me more. What does that mean? Essentially, my friend was asking me to put on my girl panties and use my big girl words to tell her specifically what was going on with me and what I was feeling. Why is this so important? When we use vague language like " I don't know what's wrong" or "I feel blue" or "I don't know." We are doing ourselves a disservice. We are making it very difficult, if not impossible, to get the help that we need from others. It is hard for someone to help you with "I don't know." You can't go to a doctor with "I don't know what's wrong." When we are able to name what is going on for us, then we can ask for big girl help to solve our big girl problems. Don't let "I don't know" be a good enough reason not to take care of yourself. Don't let it be a good enough reason to choose not to get dressed in the morning. Start challenging yourself. You have too much brains and beauty to let that be good enough. You have too many words at your disposal to allow vague words to pass by your notice. When we name it, we can change it. On this week's episode of the New Glam Gal Podcast, we talk about: 1. Ouchies and Booboos 2. The Puerto Rican platitude "sana sana" 3. How vague language does you a disservice 4. How to move past vague language and putting your big girl pants 5. Why it is important to be specific with how you are feeling and what you need so you can ask for specific help Speaking of asking for specific help. Did you know I am here to help you? Yes, you. You can get 1 on 1 help from me. You can tell me all about what is going on for you. If you really have no clue, then I know just the questions to ask to get you the right kind of help. This week's podcast episode is all about how perfectionism holds you back from being stylish and confident. We would never tell a baby to give up on learning to walk because they stumbled or had to lean on something in order to stand up tall. Adults would never tell a toddler that Sally or Joan did it better. You would not ridicule a toddler for leaning on the wall or a piece of furniture to stand up tall. yet, we do that all the time to ourselves.
We hold ourselves hostage for some future weight, size, or perfect moment before taking care of ourselves. Even if we do proceed forward, we quit early because it didn't turn out the way it "should have" or the way we thought it "ought to" have been. This year, I am challenging my glam gals to finish their makeover story. Stop giving up on yourself. Commit to style and confidence everyday, even if Sally or Joan do it better. Even if it doesn't look the way you thought it would.

I get these questions all of the time so just know that you are not alone when you asking these questions. Whether you are post partum, post weight loss surgery, or your body has undergone some natural changes over time. I recommend all of my glam gals check in with themselves. Ask yourselves why you are not buying clothes? Why are you holding on to clothing that doesn't fit? Why are you worried about loose or excess skin? Check in with yourself before you decide to take any type of action. Mindset work should precede you taking action so that your motivation will take you farther than self hatred ever could.

This week's episode is that much needed pep talk for when you have to get ready for work, but just don't feel like it.
Ugh! Getting ready for work in the morning...ugh! Am I right? Well, it doesn't have to totally suck. I promise. This week I am teaching the Rule of 3 and how it benefits you to constrain your outfit options, hair do, and beauty routine down to three options. We tell ourselves we don't plan because we like to keep our options open, but the truth is its causing overwhelm. You are creating your own drama every morning by giving yourself too many open ended options. Instead, I recommend you constrain your options as follows: 1. 3 GO TO Outfits. They fit, you like them, and you always keep them ready. These should be cleaned immediately after use so they are always available to you. 2. 3 GO TO Hair Dos. I have a wet hair, top bun, and more pizzazz go to looks that I have at the ready depending on what is happening and how well I planned (or didn't) the night before. 3. 3 Beauty routines. I have a 2 minute, 10 minute, and 30 minutes routine ready to roll. Again, depending upon how well I planned the night before. This rule of three cuts out on all of the getting ready for work drama. It frees you up to go worry about important ish, like work your fam, your partner. On this week's episode we talk about: -Bloomingdales and the tempting choice of 100 items on a table -Constraining to the Rule of 3 -How your Tallulah brain will rebel -Why endless options are never a good choice -Why constraint is the way forward.

Good Morning Glam Gal!
Happy Valentine's Day Glam Gal! This week we talk about the biggest secret to self confidence. I break it down to a simple formula.
HAVING YOUR OWN BACK + MAKING YOURSELF AVAILABLE TO DO SCARY ISH = SELF CONFIDENCE
We often think self confidence is something you either have or don't have. It is only reserved for run way models and "lucky" gals. Well, I am here to tell you that self confidence is a measure of capability and availability.
Let's start with the premise that you are wildly capable of more than you can ever conceive of just by nature of the fact that you are a human being. Yup, bam you are imbued with capability. It is what you do with that capability that counts. Are you making yourself available to live up to that capability?
Are you showing up for the things you have committed to doing? Date nights, speaking engagements, hard conversations, shopping for new undies. Were are you backing out of things simply because you are afraid of feeling embarrassed or like an imposter. Welcome to the club sister! This is where true confidence is built. Showing up to do the uncomfortable stuff over and over. It is falling in front of a crowd and getting back up in a new outfit and doing it all over again. I know this may be a hard sell, but it is the key to showing up and showing out at work, home, and on a date.
In this week's episode we talk about: 1. Runway models falling 2. Date Nights 3. Having your own back 4. Owning your discomfort 5. The power of making yourself available
We also talk about how to transition from work attire to date night fabulous. Check out the episode for my style tips.

This week's episode is all about Self Love...for realsies! During Valentine's Day and the whole month of February there is a lot of marketing geared towards love. The marketing promises you that if only you purchased the right journal, bubble, bath, chocolates, or some other item, then you will definitely feel LOVE.
This is a fundamental human need, to feel loved. However, love does not come from purchasing an item. We cannot generate a feeling of love for ourselves by purchasing something. We can only generate a feeling of love with the thoughts that we think. Love is mindset first. Loving actions then follow.
Second, in this week's episode, we discuss how self love takes work. We have to work on thinking loving thoughts. If you have felt self loathing and self hatred for a long time, this can seem like a very daunting and unbelievable task. So I am encouraging you all to think of self love as a continuum or the last rung on a set of monkey bars.
Your start with the next tiny thought to get you down the monkey bars. One rung at a time. Start with thoughts like:
Practice each stop and imagine you are working your way across the self love monkey bars. If you need help getting from self loathing to self love, sign up for a Free Coaching Session. I will meet you where you are and cheer you on as you move down your own set of self love monkey bars.

In this week's episode of the New Glam Gal Podcast , we discuss hopes, dreams, aspirations and loose skin. All women undergo some bodily changes over time. I firmly believe all women are amazing creatures. My goal is to get my clients to believe that too.
A lot of my clients come to me post weight loss or post bodily change and deal with loose skin. The loose skin becomes a perceived obstacle to becoming stylish and confident. When you make loose skin "the enemy" and start calling it "excess skin," then you start to look at it as something that needs to be "dealt with." Then you start thinking thoughts that lead to a cycle of being stuck in a pattern of self loathing and mean girl behavior.
My drama teacher used to always ask us what our hopes dreams and aspirations were at the end of each dress rehearsal. It was a way to give us notes on where we could improve our ongoing performance and decide how we wanted to show up or what we wanted to create. Never once did he say we were not permitted to perform because the weight, shape, and size of our body. It would be ludicrous for an actor to refuse to take the stage because of loose skin or some other bodily reason. Yet, we use our bodies as an obstacle to achieving what we want or showing up in the world.
Instead I invite you to start asking yourself the following:
