"DON'T SCAN ME!" This week we are talking about a sequel that took 10 years to get made and was one of the weirdest sequels we will ever cover with Scanners II: The New Order. This sequel had epic SFX, but had such a confusing storyline and the rules for scanners weren't consistent. As 2023 comes to a close, Jamie and I discussed the best and worst from our list of sequels we reviewed. We also reminisced about our favorite interviews and looked ahead to what's to come in 2024.

We are kicking off 2024 with one of Doug's favorite horror movies ever Scream 2. For it, I chatted with the editor of most of Wes Craven's films from the '90s including New Nightmare and the 1st 3 Scream films, Patrick Lussier. Patrick also directed the films Ghostrider, My Bloody Valentine, and more. Great to chat about his journey to Hollywood.

This week we are celebrating our 300th episode and for it, we discussed "300 Rise of an Empire. This one was a far cry from the 1st one, but it did give us a ton to talk about. This week we are discussing a sequel that we never knew existed, Vacancy 2: The First Cut, that surprised us. Last week's guest Agnes Bruckner crushes it as a final girl and does some amazing things in this sequel. This sequel had us discussing how truckers sell these creepy VHS tapes, southern stereotypes in movies, staying a motel in the middle of nowhere, the one-liners we wished this movie had, and more. Awesome movie that we both recommend!

The next sequel we are covering is "Vacancy 2: The First Cut", which will be 1st watches for Jamie and me. For it, I chatted with the Final Girl from that movie and so much more, Actress Agnes Bruckner. Agnes and I talked about her journey from a childhood of moving around a lot to landing a recurring role on The Bold & the Beautiful. Agnes discusses her audition process for the role of Anna Nicole Smith and the research she did to prepare for the role. She also shares her thoughts on the impact of Hollywood on actors' lives. We also talked about the double standards and gender stereotypes that exist in society/Hollywood. She shares personal experiences of facing challenges as a woman in the entertainment industry, including pressure to meet unrealistic beauty standards and body shaming. Agnes was a blast to chat with and you can tell how much she loves it by the joy in her voice while reminiscing those memories.

This week we are discussing the last installment of the action series that made Liam Neeson, Taken 3.  This sequel takes place in LA and doesn't involve Brian Mills globe trotting to save a family member. This one had us discussing the number of civilian deaths, knowing who the bad guy was right away, putting down your weapon for hand-to-hand combat, Brian Mills being a ninja, the lack of cameras anywhere, hot bagels as an alibi, and more.

The SAG strike looks like it's over, so interviews will be happening once again, so we thought let's do one more re-release before we get back into our regular format. So we chose our 1st ever review with Son of the Mask, it's one that Jamie mentions often when he talks about the worst sequels ever. This re-release is dedicated to buddy Tommy Kiczula who passed away a few days ago. He was the guest for this review and it was one of our favorite horror movies. Tom and my buddy Nick were over at my house in July for a viewing of Jason Takes Manhattan on my projector. RIP Tommy Kiczula

In honor of having a Friday the 13th this month, we had to discuss one and we chose a non-Crystal Lake one,  Jason Takes Manhattan....well sorta.  Doug and Jamie invited guest Tom Kiczula, who was born on a Friday the 13th, to discuss this wild installment in the story of Jason Voorhees. They discussed how wet Jason was, his possible teleportation,  most importantly...how does Jason bleed or drown, and so much more!

The 4th Scary Sequel Month is rolling along great and we are diving back into the pool of Norman Bates and his mother for Psycho III. We discussed how they brushed off the second movie's ending, the odd homecoming game party, the 80s hotties in this small town, Jeff Fahey playing a dick, if the wet look is in, and more.

The 4th Scary Sequel Month is one of the best because it has a Friday the 13th, so we went with Jason Lives. This is the one that brought Jason back and is almost like a Jason spoof with some jokes. We discussed the gravedigger who might live in the woods, the insult farthead, Jason's utility belt, Megan being obsessed with Tommy after meeting him for 5 minutes, and more. This is a fun one.

This sequel is 22 years after the original and the script written by the great Tom Holland is perfect. This week we are celebrating 2 important dates; November 1st which marks the day that Death Wish 3 hit theaters back in 1985 and November 3rd, 1921 which was the day that Charles Bronson was born. So what better way to celebrate than to get together "3 of the nicest bad guys ever" from Death Wish 3.  Alex Winter, Kirk Taylor, and Tony Spiridakis played the roles of "Hermosa", "The Giggler", and "Angel".  They talked about their auditions, death scenes, personal experiences with Charles Bronson, Michael Winner, and so much more.  This reunion was put together by myself and Chris Rauch who runs the Charles Bronson Twitter account and we thought, "hey let's get these bad guys together," but what we didn't know was that we reunited 3 people who formed a bond on set and haven't seen each other in almost 36 years. It was quite special to see them together again.

This is by far the coolest thing we have ever been a part of, enjoy!

Enjoy the Re-Release of Meatballs 3!

So this is a movie we did not know existed, but after watching it... WE ARE HAPPY THAT IT DOES! Doug and Jamie discussed Meatballs 3 starring a young Patrick Dempsey, George Buza, and Shannon Tweed.  They discussed everything from the movie possibly being set in the 50s, porn heaven, and lots of Mean Gene talk.  Meatballs 3 was a pleasant surprise for sure and the full movie is available on YouTube, so check it out.

The next sequel we are covering is Blair Witch 2016, a direct sequel to the original. For it, I chatted with Filmmaker Nathan Haugaard. I used filmmaker because Nathan wears many hats; camera operator, pulling focus, director, writer, producer, and cinematographer, and I am probably leaving something out because he does it all. CKY skate videos and The Blair Witch Project helped fuel his filmmaking at a young age. Nathan and I talked about working for James Cameron, shooting Real Housewives, Avatar, other films he's worked on, the Hollywood strikes, and lots more. Great chat!

This week we are back to our Action roots and covering our 1st Don "The Dragon" Wilson flick in "Bloodfist V: Human Target." This movie has zero to do with the previous 4, but still gave us a lot to discuss. Bloodfist V is either the smartest movie ever written because of the big twist at the end or we are giving it too much credit. The next sequel we are talking about is Blair Witch 2016 which was a touchstone film series for next week's guest Nathan Haugaard. Nathan grew up in Vancouver... Washington, not Canada. As a kid he grabbed a camera to film his buddies skating and the rest is history. He saw Blair Witch with his buddies and then started shooting horror. Nathan went to LA after High School and quickly worked with James Cameron and learned the ins and outs of 3-D. We talked about the best way to do 3-D, filming reality TV, the strike, and more.

This movie has sequel had some familiar faces in like Michael Berryman, Penny Johnson (The Larry Sanders Show), Kevin Spirtas (Friday the 13th Part VII), and more. This one had us talking about naming your kids after planets, splitting up in this scary place, the super gas, realizing it's daylight savings from a newspaper, Jamie not realizing the main character was blind, and lots more. This movie has doesn't have familiar faces, but they are giving it there all in every scene plus it's shot beautifully with some impressive special effect. This movie had us scratching our heads over the bad CGI, the turnover in the cast, the death of a fan favorite, the lack of other people in the movie, ninjas flying from the sky but then riding on horses, and so much more. It was a doozy but it was a blast as always.

Happy New Year! The next sequel we are reviewing is "Lethal Weapon 3" and we are kicking off 2023 with a pretty amazing interview with Norman Buckley.  Norman is now a big-time TV director and producer with credits that include Netflix's Sweet Magnolias, Pretty Little Liars, The O.C., and many more.  Norman's original path after high school was History major, but some good advice from his mom helped him head off to USC for film school.  Norman's career started in editing which was a great aspect of movie-making to learn about.  We talked about how he chose editing while at college, his Hollywood connection, his transition to directing, some credits along the way, and lots more.

As 2022 comes to an end, we wanted to take the time to look back at the year that was with a little awards show.  This also happens to be our 250th episode, which is wild.  In this episode, Jamie and I reveal some Top 4 lists of 2022 that we came up with; categories include favorite sequels, worst characters, favorite interviews, and more. This was a year that had us cover one of the Mt. Rushmore of sequels in Aliens, but also had some bottom-of-the-barrel sequels along the way.  Having said that no matter which one of the 23 sequels we covered this year, we had a blast reviewing them, whether it was just me and Jamie or one of our amazing guest reviewers.  I was also lucky enough to interview so many people I have admired throughout my sequel-loving life that includes a legendary vicious boss, Hollywood's go-to Bug Wrangler, another Jason Voorhees victim, stunt artists, directors, script supervisor, special effects, and more.  Thanks for being a part of 2022 and look forward to providing even more entertainment in 2023.

We are kicking off 2023 on a high note with our 1st Lethal Weapon and we are starting with #3.  I chatted with Director and Editor Norman Buckley for this one.  Norman had quite a journey to Hollywood that involved going from a History major until his mom helped him pick going to film school.  Norman caught a big break working on a film in his home state of Texas after he graduated from BYU.  Norman did editing on films like Lethal Weapon 3, Silent Night Deadly Night 5, Phantasm III, and more.  Norman's big break came while editing on "The O.C." and asking to direct and they said yes.  Since then you can see Norman directed shows like Gossip Girl, Charmed, Pretty Little Liars, Sweet Magnolias, and more.

This week we are talking "Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare" which is another sequel that set out to be the last (but not really).  This movie had a lot for us to discuss like the confusion of when they are dreaming vs when they are awake, the lack of deaths, the creepy carnival, the recovery shelter that looked like it was abandoned, and more.  No matter if you liked this movie or not, we can all agree that Robert Englund knocks it out of the park.   This was a blast to discuss.

The next sequel we are reviewing is "Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare" and for it, I was lucky enough to chat with Special FX Artist Jeffrey S Farley.  Jeffrey's work in Freddy unfortunately was mostly cut, but he has worked on so many epic projects over the years like The Blob Remake, Demolition Man, lots of Full Moon Features, Wolf, and lots more.  Jeffrey talks about how seeing the 70s flick "Equinox" changed his life forever.  What I enjoyed most is the tight-knit SFX community because Jeffrey knew everyone that we interviewed in the past and had great things to say.  Great chat.

This week we are talking about "Exorcist II" which is known to be one of the worst sequels of all time by movie lovers and they are right!  This movie marks the 2nd sequel we covered of Oscar-winner, the late-great Louise Fletcher which didn't end up too well, the other being Grizzly II.  This movie was so bad that we brought in a friend of the podcast Peter, who has a podcast called Fan2Fan (which we guested on earlier in the year and talked sequels).  Peter helped us discuss why crutches are good for putting out fires, James Earl Jones dressed like a locust, a very awkward scene, the odd extras playing in the background of scenes, and lots more.

The next sequel we are reviewing is "Exorcist II” and for it, I interviewed Hollywood's go-to Bug Wrangler of the 80s/90s/00s, Steven R Kutcher.  Steven is an entomologist who was recommended by his professor to work on Exorcist II and the rest is history.  Steven worked on Wonder Woman, Arachnophobia, Hocus Pocus, Jurassic Park, Spiderman, and so much more.  Steven even introduced us to Rosie, who is the first spider to be a guest!  Great chat about bugs and how to Steven gets them to do some pretty amazing things on film.

This week we are talking "The Purge Anarchy" which was a movie sequel that we didn't expect (because for some reason we that it was over-the-top gorey).   This movie had some dreaming of more Frank Grillo-led action flicks because if he was around in the 80s/90s at this age, he would've led so many action flicks.  The Purge Anarchy had us discussing the odd rules of the purge, how you find your purge posse, who cleans the dead bodies, better ways to hide in your home, and lots more.

The next sequel that will be discussed is The Return of the Killer Tomatoes. This movie had me interviewing the cinematographer from it Stephen Andrich who had some fond memories of working on this one with George Clooney.  Then Stephen's career changed gears and he worked for NFL Films and actually lived in New Jersey when he did.  Stephen's recent camera credits include Cobra Kai, The Walking Dead, Leverage, and more.  I loved the origin story of his start in working for the NFL, one of those right-place-right-time stories for sure.

The next sequel we are reviewing is "The Purge: Anarchy” and for it, I interviewed an actor who knows a thing about playing a bad guy in Actor Jasper Cole.  Jasper's career spans over 40 years, which is insane and a testament to his passion for his craft.  Jasper talked about being in Jason Takes Manhattan, working with Dee Wallace, finding his niche as a bad guy, and lots more. Jasper plays a bad guy but is the nicest guy ever and you will love him.

We are so excited to finally have the chance to dip our toes into the pool of Nightmare on Elm Street sequels and no better place to start than with Part 4 The Dream Master.  We talked broke down all the iconic kills, Freddy's one-liners, how they get rid of the dream warriors pretty quick, Alice's amazing character transformation, and of course the karate fight involving "invisible" Freddy. We couldn't discuss a horror legend with just the two of us, so we are joined by Amy Koto to help break it down.

The next sequel that will be discussed is The Purge Anarchy. This is the only Purge movie I have seen in the series and man it had an awesome cast.  Frank Grillo, Carmen Elojo, and the late Michael Kenneth Williams.  It wasn't what I was expecting and loved it.  For it, I chatted with Actor Jasper Cole.  Jasper has been an actor for years and is now the go-to bad guy that you have seen in "MacGruber" and so much more.  Jasper was a sketch performer for The Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno, was in Jason Takes Manhattan, and has had guest spots on classics like "Married w/ Children", "Everybody Hates Chris", and more.  Jasper is the opposite of the bad guy he plays on screen and had great stories from his career.

This week's Re-Release has us looking back at the time we welcomed a Horror legend and one of Doug's favorite final girls in horror history, actress Lisa Wilcox.  Lisa starred as "Alice Johnson" in A Nightmare on Elm Street 4 & 5.  We talked about her falling on stage in junior high doing a play, moving to California for High School, John Stamos, Freddy Krueger, Brady Bunch, Star Trek, and lots more.  I love hearing about moments when folks get discovered and Lisa's is one of my favorites so far.

This week's sequel has us traveling to a dystopian future where a young Mel Gibson (Mad Max) will do just about anything for gasoline. This movie has an all-star cast with Mel Gibson and Vernon Wells.  We, of course, talked about Jason Voorhees sorry I mean Lord Humongous, Feral Kid (What the hell was he), us both falling head over heels for Warrior Woman, how insane Vernon Wells is in this movie, and lots more.  Mad Max 2 was our highest Rotten Tomatoes score yet at 93%.

When it comes to movies you aren't supposed to be rooting for the bad guy, but how could I not root for this week's guest Vernon Wells?  Vernon played legendary bad guys in Mad Max 2 as Wez and in Commando as Bennett. Vernon has quite the origin story because he had ZERO interest in being on camera, he wanted to be behind it. Luckily a director stuck him front and center, the rest is history.  Of course, we talked about Weird Science, Joel Silver, Arnold Schwarzenegger, his start in acting, his love for being behind the camera, and so much more.  We talked about Commando a lot because his role as the villain Bennett is quite legendary to Jamie and me.  Enjoy this amazing chat

This week we are talking "Jaws 2".  "Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water...." is the perfect tagline for the 1978 sequel to Jaws because this shark is on a mission in this one.  Jamie sees a lot of similarities between the shark and Jason Voorhees and Doug couldn't get over how bad the teens were at sailboating.  Also, you were in for a treat when the actor who plays the Mayor is on the poster.

Escape From New York.  This week’s guest played a huge part in all of these films and is also our first oscar-nominated guest and BAFTA Winner (British Oscars), Joe Alves.  Joe is a legend in the film industry who has worn many hats. Art Director, Producer, Production Designer, and Director.  Joe was brought on to draw the concept art for the book that Jaws was based on, then was tasked with building the shark. Joe has stories that will make your jaw drop.  He has worked with Walt Disney, Alfred Hitchcock, Spielberg, Elvis Presley, Steven Seagal, Kurt Russell, and many many more.  Joe is an amazing human being and I know you'll love him!

This week we are talking "Friday the 13th A New Beginning" which is one of the most controversial of the series and a lightning rod for opinions from fans.  This is our 6th Friday the 13th and we had a blast discussing it.  We talked about some of the behind the scene nuggets we read about, our dream of a prequel about Ethel and JR, those damn enchiladas, Violet's dance moves, THAT ending, and so much more.

The next sequel that will be discussed is The Purge Anarchy. This is the only Purge movie I have seen in the series and man it had an awesome cast.  Frank Grillo, Carmen Elojo, and the late Michael Kenneth Williams.  It wasn't what I was expecting and loved it.  For it, I chatted with Actor Jasper Cole.  Jasper has been an actor for years and is now the go-to bad guy that you have seen in "MacGruber" and so much more.  Jasper was a sketch performer for The Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno, was in Jason Takes Manhattan, and has had guest spots on classics like "Married w/ Children", "Everybody Hates Chris", and more.  Jasper is the opposite of the bad guy he plays on screen and had great stories from his career.

The next sequel we are reviewing is "Friday the 13th A New Beginning” and for it, I interviewed our first final girl from the franchise, Actress Melanie Kinnaman who played "Pam Roberts".  Melanie talked about her journey to being a final girl that started in western Massachusetts with a stop along in NYC where she was a dancer and then started acting in plays.  She even played "Cheryl Ladd" in a Saturday Night Live sketch about the "Battle of the Network Stars" back in the late 70s then landed a role on General Hospital followed by some commercial work.  Melanie talked about getting Friday the 13th A New Beginning, a role she had in "Best of the Best" starring Eric Roberts that got changed, upcoming projects, and lots more.

This week we are talking "Piranha II The Spawning" and this just so happens to be our second James Cameron-directed flick this year... YEP, James Cameron directed this one, well 75% of it until he was fired for taking too many shots. For this one, we brought back our buddy Nick, who has helped us make sense of Munchie, Ghoulies, and more.  Nick came prepared with some behind the scene stories and even noticed some parts of Piranha II that would show up in later James Cameron flicks.  Piranha II had us discussing flying fish, boating a boat, an odd relationship with Anne and her son, dynamite fishing, and more.

This movie is the Halloween III of the Jason Voorhees saga because it tried something new that a lot of fans love and hate, it's quite the lightning rod.  I was lucky enough to interview the Final Girl from it, our 1st Friday the 13th Survivor, Pam Roberts herself actress Melanie Kinnaman.  Melanie talked about growing up in Boston, becoming a dancer in NYC, doing broadway and off broadway, her big-time commercials she did, landing Friday the 13th, a wild story about "Best of the Best", and more.  I loved talking to Melanie about her career and we had a lot of laughs.

The next sequel we are reviewing is "Piranha II: The Spawning” and for it, I interviewed Actress, Singer, and Activist Carole Davis.  Carole grew up with her first love of singing where she was singing all over the world, but then after going to an audition just to support a friend, she was called in to audition and got it. The movie didn't matter because she chose most of her roles based on where they were being shot.  Carole was in so many great movies like Mannequin, The Flamingo Kid, The Shrimp on the Barbie, and more. But, I also enjoyed hearing about her singing career which includes stories involving Prince, getting the job as singing the end credit song for "Love Potion no. 9" (I linked it below for you to listen to because it's awesome), and more.  Amazing chat!

This week we are talking "The Last Sharknado: It's About Time" which I went thinking this was the 3rd film in the series, but sadly mistaken.  This is a sequel that took a sorta joke and turned it into a franchise that people love, Jamie not so much.  We discussed the main plot of the movie is wrong, the time traveling, the many borrowed movie quotes, Dee Snider crushing it, and so much more.  These sharknados seem to follow Fin and the gang, but you be the judge.

This week, we discuss "Mannequin 2: On the Move", which is honestly one of the best sequels we've covered this year.  This movie has the perfect 80s/90s feel to it and a great cast that has a young Kristy Swanson, William Ragsdale, Stuart Pankin, Meshach Taylor,, and Terry Kiser absolutely CRUSHING IT!  Does this movie have plot holes? Yes, it's like swiss cheese, but it doesn't even matter because it is still hilarious.  We discuss kissing mannequins, sexy vs sporty perfume, broadway shows put on by a department store, the german Three Stooges, and more.

Peter Jason is an actor who has worked with everyone from John Wayne to Spielberg to Donald Pleasance to James Garner and he loves talking about the old Hollywood.  If it wasn't for a girl he had a crush on senior year, he would have never tried out for the school play and it was instant love.  Peter's credits include They Live, Gunsmoke, Deadwood, Arachnophobia, Escape from LA(which we are covering), Baskets, and more.   Peter and Stuart became dear friends on the set of Arachnophobia and have been buddies ever since.

Playball!  Baseball is back and to celebrate, we are discussing "Major League Back to the Minors".  This movie turns the reigns of the franchise over to Scott Bakula, who is aging minor league pitcher Gus Cantrell.  This sequel had a lot for us to discuss like the switch from the Indians to the Twins, Ted McGinley's insane portrayal of "Huff", the confusion that a AAA team is signing aging veterans off the street (and from his mini-golf course), why tennis comedies wouldn't work, the lack of players with names, and more. Scott Bakula and Ted McGinley have such a rivalry in this movie kinda like Jamie and me while discussing this one.

Rushmore of movie sequels.  I was lucky enough to interview Ricco Ross who played Frost.  Ricco and I 1st connected when we were doing the "Death Wish 3" reunion for Charles Bronson's 100th birthday, but he had something come up, but we did it.  Ricco is an actor, who during his first year out of college he booked reoccurring roles on "Hill St. Blues" & "The Young & the Restless". Soon afterward, feeling type-cast, he decided to study Shakespeare for a year in England at the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA). That year turned into 13 years of living abroad. There he got "Dirty Dozen 2" and became friends with Ken Wahl (great story about Ken), "Death Wish 3", "Aliens", and actually got "Full Metal Jacket", but that’s a story you gotta hear.  Great chat.

This week we are discussing "The Hangover Part III" and this is the conclusion to one of the funniest comedy franchises ever that elevated the 3 actors to stardom, individually in their own way. This movie needed to figure out a way to finish a franchise, which is hard to do, but they perfectly had some great callbacks to the first two films and introduced John Goodman as the villain. We discussed Alan's love for Phil, "Fluffers, Buffers, and Farters", Chow becoming an action star, and so much more.

The next sequel that will be discussed next is  "Ghoulies Go to College " in honor of college spring break.  This movie had me interviewing the Director of Photography Ronn Schmidt.  Ronn's early credits include this Ghoulies sequel and some Roger Corman classics like "Brain Dead".  Ronn is most known for his work on the 1st season of "The Shield" and "The Mist", but his credits are full of some great projects.  I loved Ronn's origin story and also so amazing that former guest Steven Poster is part of Ronn's journey.

The next sequel we are reviewing is "The Hangover Part III” and this week I am chatting with Actress Sondra Currie who plays "Linda" in all three of the Hangover movies.  Sondra is born and raised in Los Angeles, Sondra grew up in a "show business family." As the daughter of actress, Marie Harmon (Gunsmoke/The El Paso Kid) from a young age Sondra knew she wanted to be a performer.  Sondra talked about making her dream happen, working with John Wayne, her "Slice 'em, dice 'em" movies, guest-starring roles on every big TV show, how she met her husband, and so much more.  Sondra was a blast to chat with and I know you will love her.

This week we are discussing "Mirror Mirror 3: The Voyeur" and this is the first movie that truly was a head-scratcher, but was so much fun to discuss.  This movie had a cast with Monique Parent, Mark Ruffalo, David Naughton, and more.  We tried to figure out the plot of the movie at the same time we discussed my love of Julio's character, the mirror bleeding, is hooking up with a ghost cheating, and more.

This week we are discussing "Batman Forever", which is the perfect way to kick off 2022.  Carrey, Lee Jones, Kilmer, Kidman, O'Donnell, and more fill out this star-studded cast.  This is more comic book looking than its predecessors, but a lot of fun to break down.  We discussed some of the "almost" casting decisions if anyone can turn on the bat signal, Commissioner Gordon being the worst, the Riddler's odd change throughout the movie, and so much more.  We had guest reviewer Shorror join us to analyze this Batty sequel.

The next sequel will be our 200th sequel and we are covering a sequel with 2 horror icons, Freddy Vs Jason.  I was lucky enough to interview Jason himself, Ken Kirzinger who is a legend in the stunt world.  He also was the stunt coordinator for Jason takes Manhattan and actually was the cook that Jason killed in the NY diner scene.  Ken has done everything from stunt driving to a gun spinner, hell he even was a stand-in for John Lithgow in a movie.  Great stories about starting in the stunt industry just as filming started to boom in Vancouver, Canada.  Great chat.

The next sequel we are reviewing is "Batman Forever" and this week we are talking with Special FX Artist Eddie Yang.  Eddie's story is so inspirational because after falling in love with makeup effects as a kid, he knew what he wanted to do and made it happen.  Eddie was such a fan of Rick Baker after seeing "American Werewolf in London", then years later worked for him and with him and are still friends to this day.  I also loved hearing about how the industry and Eddie himself transitioned once computers came into play.  Great chat.

This week we are celebrating 2 important dates; November 1st which marks the day that Death Wish 3 hit theaters back in 1985 and November 3rd, 1921 which was the day that Charles Bronson was born. So what better way to celebrate than to get together "3 of the nicest bad guys ever" from Death Wish 3.  Alex Winter, Kirk Taylor, and Tony Spiridakis played the roles of "Hermosa", "The Giggler", and "Angel".  They talked about their auditions, death scenes, personal experiences with Charles Bronson, Michael Winner, and so much more.  This reunion was put together by myself and Chris Rauch who runs the Charles Bronson Twitter account and we thought, "hey let's get these bad guys together," but what we didn't know was that we reunited 3 people who formed a bond on set and haven't seen each other in almost 36 years. It was quite special to see them together again.

This is by far the coolest thing we have ever been a part of, enjoy!

Our 3rd Annual Scary Sequel Month was such a blast and we are ending it with the perfect Halloween movie, "Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers.  This movie sequel had immense pressure of bringing back "The Shape" after the experiment of "Halloween III" has mixed reviews.  Halloween 4 is my favorite sequel in the franchise and Jamie's 1st watch, so we had a blast discussing it.  We talked about coma strength, Michael Myers's love of coveralls, Brady being a dick, Kelly Meeker, the drunk militia, and so much more.

This week we are discussing "Toxic Avenger IV: Citizen Toxie", which was another in-person studio shed recording and this was quite the doozy. There was a lot to discuss Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D., lard ass, Toxie's odd voice, the problematic opening scene, and so much more. The cameos in the movie will blow you away and Jamie believes this movie was inspired by "Freaky Friday".

The 1st sequel to kick off our 3rd annual "Scary Sequel Month" is "Hellraiser V: Inferno" and this bonus interview is with Actress, Model, and Real Estate entrepreneur Rachel Currence. Rachel had a small role in Hellraiser V, but was also in a bunch as a child actor and in the last few years was in BET's "The New Edition Story". This week we are discussing "Cannonball Run II", which is our most star-studded movie yet and we have our Munchie expert Nick sitting in to help us break it down.  We discuss ladies driving, Doug missing the nuns' actual role in the movie, Frank Sinatra playing Frank Sinatra, Captain Chaos, the Bond references, and lots more.  This is our 1st in-studio review in over 20 months and it felt great, but unfortunately no video this week.

Patricia was great and was a lot of fun.  Then I chatted with Actress and Entrepreneur Rachel Currance who had a small role in the sequel but was great to chat with.  Rachel was on a few different Disney shows and completed a series last year called "Siblings" that is being shopped around.  So get ready for a kick-ass month.

This week we are discussing "Robocop 3", which is the polar opposite of the first 2 films.  This movie is very tame because of its cartoon and toyline that was targeting kids, so this movie barely had any blood, but it was still fun to discuss.  We had a friend of the show Jerry Lou stop by with his Robocop expertise to break it all down.  We discussed the odd plot, Roboninjas, the cast full of familiar faces, Rip Torn being Rip Torn, and lots more.

The next sequel we are reviewing is "Robocop 3" and this week we are talking with Actress Jodi Long.  This interview is one of the earlier ones we did and I thought I lost it but found it a few months back.  Jodi actually knew Peter Weller from growing up and performing in NYC and has a funny story about that. I always loved her scene-stealing role in “The Hot Chick” along with Sullivan and Son and so many great roles over the years.  Jodi recently won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Daytime Fiction Program for her role on Netflix’s Dash & Lily.  I remember being so nervous chatting with her because it was one of the first interviews I did, but the interview was great hearing about her show biz parents, her appearance on Broadway at the age of 7, Asian representation in Hollywood, and so much more.  Amazing chat with an amazing woman.

This week we are discussing "Iron Eagle IV", which marks the return to the franchise of the character "Doug Masters" who seemed to be dead after the opening scene from "Iron Eagle II".   Also, the legendary Lou Gossett Jr. is back as "Chappy" for the 4th time and he does not disappoint. This is a sequel like any other because it is essentially two movies, the first part seems like a kid's movie, and the second part is filled with murder. We discussed the troubled teens that are somehow allowed to fly planes without supervision, the most powerful grenade ever,  Luther the drug dealer, Chappy and a possible "Fight Club" scenario, and lots more. The movie is WILD, but lots of fun.

Sam grew up in Jerusalem, directing 22 theatrical feature films since completing his graduate studies in film at Loyola Marymount University and obtained his higher education in LA. He is best known for having made low-budget B movies most of his career, among them, is "Revenge of the Ninja", "Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo", "Avenging Force", and lots more. Sam has directed former guests Eric Roberts and his wife Eliza and Lisa London.  Sam's journey to Hollywood is one of my favorites and you will love it too.

This week we are discussing our very 1st Steven Seagal sequel, "Under Siege 2: Dark Territory". OH MY GOD! This week we are discussing what is called the "Best Worst Movie", "Troll 2", which means it's the best worst sequel too. I first saw it when it premiered on HBO in the early 90s and this was Jamie's first time. We discussed Troll 2 being Anti-Vegetarian propaganda, lack of Trolls, swapping houses, Grandpa Seth, the creepy townspeople, and so much more. Enjoy your stay in Nilbog and its lumpy milk.

George Hardy is a dentist who always wanted to act and while practicing dentistry in Utah back in the early 90s had the chance to be in a low-budget movie called "Troll 2". George had no clue at the time how this movie would change his life forever, but not until after a decade after the film's release. This week we covered one of the best sequels that we have or will probably ever cover, in "Batman Returns".  This movie really has full Tim Burton vibes to it and it was an absolute blast. How can you top having Keaton, Pfeiffer, Devito, and Walken all in the same movie? You can't and it's the best Batman according to Doug. But of course, there was a lot to discuss, like what actors were almost cast in the roles of the main characters (some are mind-blowing), Penguin's childhood, Selina becoming the Catwoman, Walken being Walken, Batman actually killing henchmen. and so much more.

This week's interview is with the Producer of Grizzly II: Revenge Suzanne Nagy.  Grizzly II starting filming in 1983, in the socialist country of Hungary, with a young cast that had George Clooney, Charlie Sheen, Laura Dern, John Rhys-Davies, and many more. One problem happened on the first day of filming, Suzanne's partner disappeared. Suzanne talked about growing up in Hungary, how she got involved with the film, and what it took to finally get this movie to finally come out.  Grizzly II: Revenge comes out January 8th, 2021 and you can preorder now. This week I interviewed an actor who portrayed a horror movie character that gave me nightmares as a kid. That character is the "Chatterer Cenobite" from Hellraiser 1/2 and the actor is the super awesome Nicholas Vince.  Nicholas had quite the story to tell about how he went from school plays in the countryside of England to playing the Chatterer. We talked about cheesy Christmas movies, how he met Clive Barker, behind the scenes on Hellraiser, books he's written, and lots more.  We also talked about his amazing new show called "The Chattering Hour" where he has interviewed some of my absolute favorite people like Malcolm McDowell and Amanda Wyss.

This week's interview is with a gentleman who had a very different journey into Hollywood and that's Voice Actor Neil Ross.  Neil went from being a Top-40 DJ in Salt Lake City to voice acting after he found out that it wasn’t the people on tv doing it. He went on to lend his voice to some of the most memorable cartoons of the 80s like GI Joe(Shipwreck), Transformers(Springer/Bonecrusher), Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, John Rambo, and so much more. It's Friday the 13th, so we had to choose the most  "2020" installment in the franchise, Jason Goes to Hell.  So New Line buys the rights to Jason and some suit says "Let's do a Jason movie with Jason barely in it!"  This movie had so much to unpack we had to bring back one of our favorite guests Gina (Weekend at Bernie's 2 and Karate Kid 3 reviews).  Prior to this past week, she has never seen any Friday the 13th and she prepped by watching 1,2, and 4, then had to watch this sorta Jason one.  We discuss running in towels, eating hearts, the magic of mirrors, Creighton Duke, Jason having a sister, and so much more.

This week's interview is with Actor Troy Evans and boy does he have an amazing story to tell, one that I didn't even know after doing hours of research online and watching his movies.  Troy talked about being in Vietnam, Ace Ventura, Halloween 5, an amazing story involving Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, how a theater in Santa Marina changed his career, and so much more.  Troy's story involves a lot of perseverance and I am so lucky he shared it with me.  You will love him!

Our Halloween sequel is... Halloween 5, which should be a doozy.

This week we tackled "Amityville II: The Possession" and it has so many moving parts to it that we needed to invite back Chris Egan (TCM3, Fly 2, Return to Sleepaway Camp) to help sort it all out.  It had serious subjects that we touched on but we mostly discussed, Burt Young playing the father role exactly like he played Paulie in Rocky, the house breaking stuff and no one seeming to notice, Doug not knowing which muscles are which, and everything in between. The next and LAST sequel for our 2nd annual "Scary Sequel Month" is our 1st Halloween and it's the 5th one.  The interview is with Actor Troy Evans who plays Charlie in Halloween 5.  Troy had an amazing story to tell that involves Vietnam, Prison, Ace Ventura, and so much more. 

This sequel is no kiddie film and is one of the worst sequels yet! I watched this as a kid and had fond memories of it that were squashed once I hit play. We had back guest Tom Kiczula (Jason Takes Manhattan and Superbabies 2) to help decipher this movie that Jamie called, "Worse than Munchie." We discussed everything from dolls having blood, the creepy barber, Chucky's one-liners, a different Andy, Mrs. Ari Gold, and so much more.

This week I interviewed my 1st Casting Director and I couldn't have been luckier to have chatted with Glenn Daniels.  We reached out to Glenn for 2 of our earliest films, Caddyshack II and Police Academy 6, and I couldn't convince him to say "Yes", but after more emails not giving up, I finally convinced him.  I absolutely LOVED talking to Glenn and how he got started in Hollywood is a wild story. Plus hearing how he got actors like Stanley Tucci, Lisa Kudrow, Teri Hatcher, and Woody Harrelson.  I was also fascinated about how many movies that he has helped cast for that aren't on his IMDb.  We have been lucky enough to interview a lot of awesome people and Glenn is one of my favorites. Your homework is to watch "Scary Movie 4"

This week's bonus interview is EPIC. Not only is it the performance artist from my daughter's favorite show, "Sid the Science Kid", but it's also someone who is part of the Star Wars universe, Misty Rosas. Misty was amazing, we talked about how she grew up in a forest, why she started gymnastics, Congo, her amazing credits, The Mandalorian, her singing, and so much more.  The key takeaway from this interview is to listen to your mom!

"Live for nothing or die for something." is one of the most iconic lines uttered by Stallone in this week's sequel "Rambo" and trust us A LOT of people died in this movie. Jamie dressed up as Rambo for this video review and Doug looked like a dollar store Rambo knockoff toy.  We discussed the political nature of the film, the gruesome deaths, Doug's bad movie choices for dates, everyone is being mean to Rambo, and so much more.

We kick it off with an interview (it's video too!) that is an amazing one. It's with Rapper, Musician, Actor, and all around amazing guy Chingy.  I loved listening to Chingy while in high school and still listen to him, so this was such a great chance to pick the brain of someone in the music industry. Chingy talked about starting to write music at the age of 6, gave Doug a taste of his song that appeared on a mixtape, "Right Thurr", Snoop Dogg, his cameo in Scary Movie 4, and so much more.  We also discussed his new album "Crown Jewel" which should be out soon.

He's acted in Jaws 2, written on hit shows like Newhart, and has written plays on Broadway.  We couldn't cover all of Billy's career in an hour, but he wrote a fantastic book called "Get in the Car, Jane!" that covers it all! We did talk about how he started acting, meeting his writing partner Jane Milmore, Lucille Ball, his brother Steven Van Zandt, and more.
