Lynne was a fitness instructor and in the best shape of her life when she was given 3-6 months to live. She was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in 2015. The prognosis was dire, but Lynne held on to hope and she cried out to God. In her full surrender to God's will, she heard Him tell her it was not yet her time to go. In this episode Lynne shares:

He was also guest on my podcast who is passionate about empowering others in their healing journey. Many have been interested in what type of medications were used in Lynne's treatment. She had chemo: 8 months of fulfirinox, 8 months of gemcitabine (Gemzar). The clinical trial of immunotherapy was a combination of nivolumab, ipilimumab, and cobimetinib. A few of Lynne's favorite verses for her fight: 2 Thessalonians 3:3 "But the Lord is faithful and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one."  Lamentations 3:22-23 "Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed for his compassions never fail. He was known as Diamond Jim. Never a religious man, Jim was a successful airline pilot and businessman who enjoyed all the finest things the world can offer. Although he loved traveling the world, there was always a hunger for something more. Mike didn't believe in near death testimonies until he experienced one. Sepsis (massive systemic infection) after a ruptured appendix nearly took his life. Events that transpired during the trial would have a life changing impact.   In this episode Mike shares:

Dean Braxton died. Hospitalized for a kidney stone, he contracted an infection that led to sepsis. His condition deteriorated to multisystem organ failure and cardiac arrest.  His medical records show that he was dead for 1 hour and 45 minutes. During a family hike (Oct 2020) Mike and Melissa's daughter Mia was struck on the head by a large falling tree branch. The branch fell from roughly 60 feet. Aurora was 35, married with 4 young kids under the age of 7 when the doctors diagnosed her vision issue as optic neuritis related to Multiple Sclerosis (MS). They said her sight would never return, and based on the location of 10 lesions on her brain, the incurable, progressive disease would confine her to a wheelchair within five years. Max was 2 and 10 months of age when he was found lifeless at the bottom of a swimming pool. Miraculously he is resuscitated after a rough night in the intensive care unit and has no deficits! Retah's life changed completely on the night of a car accident that left her son Aldo fighting for his life (2004). This began a faith journey that would be laced with both hardships and supernatural miracles. Trigger Warning: while this episode's focus is on miraculous healing and offers hope, there is mention of sexual abuse, satanic ritual abuse, suicidal thoughts, sexual addiction and eating disorder.     Randy didn't want to admit he had a dark sexual addiction, but after nearly losing his life, he had no choice. Initially, Randy and his wife Cynthia had no idea regarding the extent of repressed trauma that was triggering these behaviors.     Randy's sexual abuse started at age 3 and progressively got darker into his teens. Lori courageously shares her deeply personal journey of heartache and healing in hopes of encouraging others who are suffering with grief, bitterness or unforgiveness. On September 20, 2011 Lori lost her son Nathan to a drug overdose. Devastated, something in Lori led her to immediately pray to God specifically. Rodney miraculously survived an explosion that was ignited when he was cooking meth. John died twice while in the hospital being treated for sepsis in 2020. The second time his heart stopped he had a profound experience and found himself in the arms of Jesus Christ. Jesus baptized him and explained that John was not going to be staying, but that he would be sent back with an important message. He also heard scripture from Jesus and was not aware it was scripture until his return. Also in his experience he had a life review, he saw the Archangel Michael, visited with many of his old family members, saw some well known saints, and enjoyed the beauty of heaven. Upon his return, John is filled with the love of Jesus and has been blessed with a gfit to see when people are dealing with demonic oppression.  He shares two experiences where he was able to address those presences directly and help the person find freedom.

John says he has been forever changed by his experience and is passionate about serving others and loving people, and sharing his message from Jesus. The portion of John's testimony around the health part of this journey was arduous and life threatening. It included times where he was close to multisystem organ failure. Susan's 15 year old son Josh was crushed in an ATV accident just days before Christmas. Medical help may have been far away, but God was not. Susan shares how God prepared her for this event, how her family was prompted to pray, the miracles that would follow, and how it led her to get involved with Moms in Prayer, and ultimately, with the Open Eyes ministry.   A former Registered Nurse, Susan Younis has been an Area Coordinator for Moms in Prayer for 3 years and leading Moms in Prayer groups for 7 years. In March 2020, Randy contracted COVID-19 and spent six weeks in the hospital.  Three and a half weeks were spent in a medically induced coma on a ventilator, on dialysis, and finally on an Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) machine.  As Randy's heart and organs began to fail, he was given a 3% chance of survival.  While in the coma, Randy experienced three near-death experiences.  He traveled twice through a dark tunnel.  His first trip exited into a beautiful building resembling a great hall and his second into a magnificent city.  He was privileged with the ability to see several deceased relatives and was honored when an unknown deceased veteran chose him to deliver a message to his granddaughter.  Randy was able to validate this experience (evidence!) by locating the granddaughter and passing her grandfather’s message to her (54:00).   These experiences have inspired in Randy a love for Jesus and for the Bible.   "God has a plan.  He is real.  There is a heaven and it's beautiful."  -Randy Schiefer   "Do not let your hearts be troubled. He retired in 1992.  From the Air Force Randy started teaching at the collegiate level, entering as an adjunct instructor and working his way to Department Chair and finally as the college campus Director.  He retired (again) in 2014 and moved to Florida in 2015. An atheist's life is forever and completely transformed in a shared death experience with his son.  In January of 2011, Darin and Jennifer's 2 year old son Griffin was diagnosed with croup.  Despite doing all of the right things to help their son, Griffin rapidly decompensated in the hospital and tragically, was found to have no brain activity.  In the last Earthly hours with their son, God allowed for Darin to see his son in heaven, and so much more.  This testimony is a powerful example of the transformational power of God's love.       Darin and Jennifer share:

Lorrie and her friend Jacki witnessed a precious miracle blessing that God performed for a group of children on their mission trip in Tecate, Mexico.  A group from their church traveled and sponsored a birthday party for Jesus event complete with shoebox gifts, puppet shows, food, punch, birthday cake, and a craft.  Lorrie and Jacki purchased 500 pieces of polaroid film per the church budget, and personally assembled the accompanying frame and decor in 500 plastic bags.  The photo line seemed never ending and Lorrie was praying that each child waiting would get to have a coveted photo and craft.  "Don't look up, just keep shooting," Jacki reassured Lorrie.  The ending to this heartwarming story is something the two of them could not have imagined and will forever hold dear.

Mark 10:13-16 People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them.  When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”  And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.

Wayne suffered from a heart attack just 7 days after he accepted Jesus as his Savior. Alex was days away from his first day of college (2020) when tragedy struck.  A jet ski accident left him with a severe traumatic brain injury, 3 broken ribs, a broken jaw, a broken clavicle, fixed and dilated pupils, and a punctured lung.  Given his Glascow Coma Score of 3 (lowest possible score nearly always indicating no chance of survival), and the loss of most of his blood volume, his father was greeted in the ER with the news no parent wants to hear, "We need to prepare you."  Despite the worst possible prognosis, Alex has overcome impossible odds.  Miraculously, he is alive, he has a new relationship with the Holy Spirit, he is working, he is running, and has plans and big dreams for college in 2022!

As we honor all of those who have served in the military this Veteran's Day I thought it was the perfect time to share a beautiful piece of my father's testimony.     Kendal Stewart was born in a small mountain town in Kentucky and enjoyed a modest, yet joy filled and innocent childhood.  He was the 8th of 9 children, and developed a strong work ethic early in his life.  His mother and father taught him strong Christian values and how to appreciate the beauty in simple things.  Upon graduation from high school he planned to enlist in the Army, but God directed his military service differently than he expected.  He reflects upon the fervent prayers of his mother and is grateful to see God's hand in pivotal steps of the journey.   In this episode Kendal shares:

Mike Olsen died on the operating room table when he bled out during his double lung transplant.  He found himself in heaven where he met Jesus and his organ donor, where he was able to let the donor know his deep gratitude, and get a message from Jesus about the new lungs.  Yes, Mike's testimony is remarkable, but what I love most about his message are his insights from heaven.  He experienced overwhelming peace in heaven, and he sees life differently in the light of eternity.     "I realized I couldn't remember my past. I couldn't remember any sin.  it was like it had been erased from a black board.  I felt so encouraged and blessed.  I just felt, WOW... it was all Jesus!  Everything we accomplish in life...it is all Him.  All of the striving, all of the worrying!  I had an epiphany in heaven.  Oh my goodness, I wasted SO much time worrying about finances, family, my spouse, how I appear to others, if I was doing enough, if I was pleasing God.  It was like a weight had been lifted, and I realized that in Heaven none of that matters! Even the suffering, although I didn't like it, even though it was hard waiting for the transplant, even that doesn't matter in the light of eternity.  The things that we go through might seem like they are long and gruesome, and horrible down here,   But in the light of eternity, it's all woven into who we will be." - Mike Olsen   Mike and his wife Patti live in Louisville, KY.  He is a retired Pastor of Iona Community Church.  In 2014 he was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), a disease of progressive scarring of the lungs with no cure.  The doctors told him he had 2 years to live and advised him to go home and make arrangements. Transplant would be his only option, but not a guarantee. Mike decided he wanted to make every breath count. He was passionate about bringing awareness to IPF and in helping others. He received his new lungs on January 7, 2019.

Jocelynn realized something had to change when she saw herself on television in a "Most Wanted" report.  Sixteen felonies, a drug addiction, multiple crimes to sustain it, the lies, homeless and tired of fighting, she called the police department and turned herself in.  It was a process, but she submitted her life to Jesus and was delivered.  In the years to come God would call her to serve in so many ways, including the donation of her kidney to one of the officers who arrested her on 3 different occasions.   In this episode Jocelynn shares:

Jeff Fusco is a husband and father from Canfield, Ohio who experienced not only a baffling physical healing from the virus of 2020/2021 (has been featured on Fox news with video testimony of 2 of his many physicians), but a powerful near death experience where he saw Jesus. Jeff's testimony is so powerful that the enemy tried to steal it! During his time in the hospital Jeff was approached by an evil entity and tempted. Back in March of 2020, Jeff was 57 and working as an Executive Vice President of GBS Corp in North Canton, OH (a high tech productivity firm) and was one of the first 100 people in OH to contract the well publicized virus.  Jeff had some underlying risk factors (multiple myeloma and leukemia). Upon being diagnosed, he deteriorated rapidly.  Within days he was placed on a ventilator (for 3 weeks), ran a temp of 104 for 2 weeks, experienced renal failure requiring dialysis, his epithelium in his intestines were ravaged which caused hemorrhage so severe he lost liters of blood with a hemoglobin as low as 4, experienced multisystem organ failure with liver and kidney involvement, a decubitus ulcer with sepsis, and 3-4 surgeries. There were an estimated 100 physicians having some role in his care, 3 hospitals last of which he was airlifted to the Cleveland Clinic.  At the lowest point his family was told to make preparations for his passing, likely within the next 2 hours.

 

In this episode, Jeff shares his profound, undeniable medical miracle, his encounter with Jesus, being approached and tempted by an evil entity (twice), and the beautiful confirmation from God he received shortly before he was discharged. In Jeff's encounter with Jesus, he was given free will as to whether he could stay in heaven or come back and was told he would do God's work in either place. Jeff is truly doing the work, even as he is still rehabilitating, and has encouraged and witnessed to many people around the globe. His heart for helping others is truly beautiful. Kenny and Kelly prayed for a miracle for their unborn baby girl (2002).  Doctors had diagnosed the unborn baby with serious birth defects and advised that they terminate the pregnancy.  While the parents prayed for a miracle, they also made preparations for her passing shortly after her delivery and chose a casket and burial place.  Full of mixed emotions, they arrived at the hospital to deliver their baby and were thrilled to see that she was born and was thriving!  A national Christian network was notified and broadcasted the story of the medical miracle, and God was praised.  It wasn't long, unfortunately, before the couple realized that the doctors were right about many of the hardships they would have to face related to Ellie's complex medical issues.    In this episode Kenny shares the deeply personal story of their journey with their daughter, how God moved through other people to bless their family, how God moved through their situation to bring good to a local facility, their family's adoption of Landry Kate, and gives valuable insight as to what the Bible says about trials and trusting in God's heart when you can't see his hand.  Abortion is also discussed and we pray over those in a trial and for those who have had an abortion in the past.   "Dr. Kenny Hibbard, founder and lead pastor of Team Church, is a straightforward Bible teacher who uniquely connects God’s unchanging biblical truth with today’s culture. A diagnosis of 3A Hodgkin's Lymphoma came as a shock for Randy Sage.  He and his wife Angela were fit and healthy, had a full life, family, and a thriving custom home building business.  The physicians expressed that the aggressive cancer growing rapidly in his neck and chest must be treated right away.  Without the chemotherapy, he was given a prognosis of only months to live.  

Teena grew up in a controlled environment, was sexually abused, oppressed, lonely, full of fear, and even suicidal at times.   Risking everything, she escaped from her forced, pre-arranged marriage and hoped to find a new life.  Her Earthly family disowned her, but God had plans.   Teena soon relocated from the UK to Canada where everything would change.  After witnessing a tragic accident she began to think about heaven and the afterlife and her own salvation.  In late 2016 Teena attended church with a friend, where she accepted Jesus and was baptized in 2017.  God gave her a special revelation as she learned the meaning of the new nickname she had chosen after leaving her family, "follower of Christ."   God began revealing a special gift to Teena as she began to get downloads of poems.  These divinely inspired songs/poems were found to contain actual scripture from the Bible that Teena had not yet read!  She began to realize that these downloads were from the Lord and were powerful prophecies and evangelical messages.  She continues to write with power and passion and has produced some of these (see attached videos and links).  God gave Teena a special gift through her new VOICE, something that she felt she never had in her previous life!   Teena shares many other pieces of the story, including her life as Muslim versus the new life as a Christ follower, the conversion of her current husband to Christianity, her new passion with her spoken word, and a beautiful message of love and forgiveness.  Although Teena has not reconnected with her family in the UK, she shares that she loves and forgives them.  She shared with me, "Love is not an option, love is not a choice, love is not a recommendation or suggestion.  Love is a COMMANDMENT."   Teena takes a moment to speak to the Muslim community and she concludes our time by offering an invitation and a prayer of salvation, and I am nearly speechless.  I am in awe that in this world where so many can be so far from God in a moment, yet there is ALWAYS hope in Jesus Christ.     I am beyond honored to share this miracle of redemption and restoration, and healing!  I am excited to see where God takes this passionate woman, and all that are going to be set FREE through her powerful testimony!  Praise Jesus!   Isaiah 41:10 NIV "So do not fear, for I am with you;     do not be dismayed, for I am your God. Amy shares some of her highlights and heartaches while living in the beautiful United Arab Emirates.  She married a Captain in the Egyptian Army, who risked everything to be with her.  Their life was full of adventure and joy, but also the painful loss of twins (one in utero and one born premature), a miscarriage, and ultimately a divorce.  Sadly, Amy also lost her father, her mother and her sister.  All of this while experiencing progressive loss of her vision as she was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa at age 28, a hereditary vision condition that results in blindness.      In her book Seeking Solace:  Finding Joy After Loss she shares how God healed her heart many times, often in supernatural ways.  She found, especially in the case of her babies, that God did give her so many miracles to glorify him in her healing.  He also faithfully brought people into her life that could love her and encourage her in difficult times.   Today Amy is an author, blogger, speaker, and she continues to educate others through her books and talks in spite of her vision and hearing loss.  She's a Low Vision Motivator with High Expectations.  While she features other cultures in her writing, she focuses on how God has taken her life on adventures of faith through losses right at home.  She loves to speak about a bright future no matter how dark it physically becomes.   Amy’s memoirs include: Mobility Matters: Stepping Out in Faith, Cane Confessions: The Lighter Side to Mobility and a memoir / devotional, Seeking Solace: Finding Joy After Loss.   In 2015, Amy joined a group of blind professionals who volunteer their time to help others cope with blindness at VisionAware.org, an outreach website now under the auspices of the American Printing House. In 2016, Ohio Valley University, Amy’s undergraduate institution, awarded her the Distinguished Medal of Literature for Mobility Matters. Her husband and high school sweetheart was found dead after he was crushed under a 300 lb piece of metal (January 3, 2012).  Although he was miraculously resuscitated, she was given no real hope for a recovery.  Against all odds, not only has Doug survived death and the brain injury, he is also far exceeding medical expectations. He’s proving the medical community wrong and that God is still in the miracle business.  Holding on to hope and standing in faith, Tammy contended for his life after hearing what she understood to be an audible voice telling her, “This will be the hardest journey of your life, but if you trust me, Doug will be okay.”
