Is it ever okay to go through your partner's phone? I've been guilty of snooping and might consider doing it again.
Narcissists and toxic personalities are masters at creating ambiguity. My ex used to readily offer me his credit card after we first started dating. He'd send photos of broken machinery and take me on company runs, all as a way to build trust so that I couldn't tell real company crises from manufactured ones.
I later learned he'd created this elaborate ruse to hide a double life.
Yet going through our loved one's phone can become a hard habit to break. Sometimes, we struggle to exit toxic relationships despite overwhelming evidence of betrayal.
In this podcast, Lisa Sonni and Dr. Kerry share their personal stories and discuss important considerations when facing these tricky situations.

I recently started reading a book that’s been around a while—Neil Strauss’ book called The Game, though he’s since come out against the practices described in it. It’s all about his experiences of learning how to manipulate women sexually through post-hypnotic suggestions and other psychologically manipulative strategies. Despite knowing there are online resources and groups encouraging predatory behavior, we tend to hold victims responsible for the abuse.
In this episode, we will take a closer look at the dynamics of abuse and the responsibility for the abusive & predatory behavior.

Every victim wants to know how they got into a toxic or dangerous relationship. Was there an early sign of danger that they missed? Were they too trusting, gullible, or naive? Most victims have been accused of being codependent. What does research have to say?
In this episode, we will dig deeper into this topic, particularly Sandra L. Brown’s groundbreaking research into the dynamics of pathological love relationships. What personality qualities made us predator’s target, and how can we protect ourselves better? Speaking of Sandra Brown, I’ll be interviewing her live Thursday evening. There are still a few remaining tickets to that event. This interview will debunk many commonly held myths about victims. Find out the truth about predatory behavior and pathological love relationships. Get your tickets through the link in the show notes. And if you’re hearing this after November 10, no worries. You can still purchase the video replay to keep in your library of mental health resources.

In this episode, we’ll take a closer look at these different frameworks and their impact on understanding ourselves and the world.

Most of us slowly realize something is wrong in a relationship. We often think the problems are a normal part of a new relationship—we don’t consider that maybe the problem isn’t us but our partner. In this replay of a TikTok live, we will explore what to do when we feel stuck in a destructive relationship, why we gaslight victims instead of hold predators responsible for their behaviors, dealing with a gaslighting co-parent and a vengeful partner, and finally some discussion on using the Gray Rock technique.
