In this lesson of Surah Al-Anfāl, verses 26-32, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf explains that Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ reminds the believers of their past weakness and His blessings in transforming them into a strong and victorious community. Initially few, oppressed, and fearing persecution, they were granted strength, sustenance, and refuge in Al-Madīnah through His mercy. The verses emphasise the prohibition of betrayal illustrated by the story of Ḥāṭib bin Abī Baltaʿah, who was forgiven for his mistake due to his service in the Battle of Badr. 

The passage also recounts the Quraysh’s failed plots to harm the Prophet ﷺ. Despite their arrogance and empty claims to rival the Qurʾān, they repeatedly failed to produce anything like it. Their stubbornness is highlighted in their demand for divine punishment instead of guidance, reflecting their ignorance and defiance. These verses affirm Allāh’s support for the believers, His protection of the Prophet ﷺ and the folly of those who reject His guidance.

In this lesson of Surah Al-Anfāl, verses 17-25, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf highlights the intervention of Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ in the victory at Badr, reminding believers that success is granted by His will, not their efforts. The Prophet’s ﷺ actions, like throwing sand, were made effective by Allāh’s power, serving as a test of gratitude and reliance on Him. Disbelievers are warned that their defeat was a fulfilment of their own challenge, and future disbelief will lead to similar outcomes.

The verses emphasise obedience to Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ and His Messenger ﷺ, contrasting believers with heedless disbelievers, who are likened to animals in their ignorance. Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ guides hearts, and believers are urged to rely on Him. They are also reminded of the collective duty to uphold righteousness, prevent corruption, and prioritise faith over worldly matters like wealth and children, ensuring success in this life and the Hereafter.

In this lesson of Surah Al-Anfāl, verses 9-16, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf explains that during the Battle of Badr, the Muslims invoked Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ for help, and Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ responded by sending a thousand angels to support them. The angels’ presence was a sign of Allāh's mercy, strengthening the hearts of the believers and causing slumber to overcome them as reassurance. Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ also provided rain to solidify the ground, alleviating the fears of the Muslims and defeating the whispers of Shayṭān. Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ commanded the angels to fight alongside the believers, striking terror into the hearts of the disbelievers. This event serves as a reminder of Allāh's power, wisdom, and His promise to support His believers when they are faithful. Victory is only from Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ, and punishment is severe for those who defy Him.

In this lesson of Surah Al-Anfāl, verses 1-8, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf elaborates that this surah focuses on various aspects of the Muslim community's response to conflict, including the division of war spoils, qualities of true believers, and the importance of following the guidance of Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ and His Messenger ﷺ. It explains that the spoils of war belong to Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ and His Messenger ﷺ, with disputes over them being resolved by the Prophet ﷺ. The Surah highlights the characteristics of true believers, including their emotional response to the remembrance of Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ, which strengthens their faith and trust in Him. It also stresses the importance of reliance on Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ in all circumstances, encouraging the believers to remain united and obedient to the guidance given by the Prophet ﷺ. The Surah concludes by emphasizing that adherence to divine principles ensures victory in battle and ultimately leads to eternal reward in the Hereafter.

In Sūrah Al-A‘rāf, verses 194-206, Allāh exposes the futility of idol worship, highlighting that idols are lifeless and cannot hear or respond to prayers. The verse challenges polytheists to invoke their idols, affirming that Allāh alone is the Protector and the Revealer of the Qur’ān. It also emphasizes the role of the Prophet ﷺ in forgiving, enjoining righteousness, and turning away from ignorance. This guidance calls for patience, kindness, and repelling evil with good, as exemplified by the Prophet ﷺ and companions like ʿUmar ibn Al-Khattāb (may Allāh be pleased with him). The verses also highlight the characteristics of the people of Taqwā, who are patient, steadfast in worship, and trust in Allāh's guidance. Believers are reminded to seek refuge in Allāh from Shayṭān’s whispers, as He is the All-Hearer and All-Knower.

In this lesson of Sūrah Al-A’raf, verses 188-194, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf explains the importance of recognising that all benefit and harm are in the hands of Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ alone. The Prophet ﷺ is reminded that he does not possess knowledge of the unseen or control over outcomes, and that his role is to warn and convey good news to those who believe. The lesson moves to discuss the creation of humanity, the relationship between man and woman, and the blessing of children, while highlighting the ingratitude of ascribing partners to Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ for His gifts. The verses challenge the folly of worshipping false deities who cannot create or offer any help, reinforcing the futility of calling upon them.

In this lesson of of Sūrah Al-Aʿrāf, verses 179-187, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf highlights the themes of disbelief, divine decree, and the Last Hour. Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ describes how many humans and jinn, despite having faculties like hearing and sight, fail to recognise the truth and are more astray than cattle. Their heedlessness leads them to Hell, as decreed by Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ. He warns against distorting His beautiful names and reminds us of the gradual destruction of those who reject His signs. The disbelievers’ denial of Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ is addressed, affirming he is a warner sent to guide. The timing of the Last Hour, mocked by disbelievers, is known only to Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ and will come suddenly. These verses emphasise the consequences of disbelief and the inevitability of the Day of Judgement.

In this lesson of Sūrah Al-A‘rāf, verses 172-178, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf explains that Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ reminds us of the covenant taken from Ādam's descendants, where they testified to His Lordship, a testimony rooted in the Fitrah – the natural disposition to recognise Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ . This serves as a reminder on the Day of Judgement, refuting claims of ignorance or ancestral misguidance. Shaykh Ahsan also recounts the story of Bal‘am bin Ba‘urā, a knowledgeable man from the Children of Israel who abandoned Allāh’s signs for worldly desires. Despite knowing the truth, he opposed Prophet Mūsā عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام and used his knowledge for evil, leading to his downfall. Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ  likens him to a panting dog, symbolising those who abandon guidance for worldly gains. These verses warn against arrogance and urge steadfastness on the path of truth.

In this lesson of Surah Al-A’rāf, verses 163-171, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf narrates the story of a village by the Red Sea, where the Jews defied the command of Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ by violating the sanctity of the Sabbath. They were tested with an abundance of fish on the Sabbath, which they deceitfully caught, leading to Allāh’s punishment, transforming them into monkeys. The village was divided into three groups: those who sinned, those who forbade it, and those who remained silent. Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ saved those who enjoined good and destroyed the wrongdoers, leaving the passive group’s fate uncertain. The verses also remind the Jews of their covenant with Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ, warning against prioritising worldly gains over the hereafter. The passage concludes by praising those who uphold Allāh’s Book and His guidance, promising them great rewards.

In this lesson of Sūrah Al-A’rāf, verses 159-162, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf discusses the righteous qualities of a group among the People of the Scripture. These individuals are characterised by their unwavering commitment to truth, nightly recitation of Allāh’s verses, and acts of prostration in devotion to Him. The verses praise their humility, sincerity, and steadfast belief in the revelations sent by Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ. Their recognition of the Qur’ān as the ultimate truth leads them to respond with gratitude and deep humility, prostrating and weeping in awe of its message and the fulfilment of divine promises. Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ honours their patience and submission by granting them a double reward, highlighting their elevated status and exemplary faith.

In this lesson of Surah Al-A’raf, verses 156-158, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf recounts the story where Prophet Musa عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام  selected seventy men from the Children of Israel to seek Allah's forgiveness for their people’s sin of worshipping the golden calf. However, they made a bold request that displeased Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ, resulting in their deaths from a violent earthquake. Prophet Musa عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام , concerned for his people, prayed for forgiveness and mercy, asking why they were punished for their ancestors’ mistakes. Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ responded, explaining that His mercy encompasses all things and is given to those who are pious, give Zakah, and believe in His signs. These verses also mention the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, whose coming was foretold in earlier scriptures, and emphasise his role in guiding people to worship Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ alone.

In this lesson of Sūrah Al-A’rāf, verses 150-155, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf explains that Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ describes the people of the Fire as being denied the blessings of Paradise, with their requests for water or food being refused. This is due to their rejection of faith and indulgence in worldly distractions. On the Day of Judgment, they will regret their actions and acknowledge the truth, but it will be too late. Allāh’s message through His messengers and scriptures leaves no excuse for disbelievers, and they will face eternal punishment for their choices. The creation of the universe in six days reflects Allāh's deliberate design, and the alternation of day and night demonstrates His power. The sun, moon, and stars are all under His control, showcasing His majesty. Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ calls on His servants to turn to Him in sincere supplication, which brings welfare in both this life and the Hereafter.

In this lesson of Sūrah Al-A’rāf, verses 144-149, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf explores the profound lessons of the aftermath of the flood and its divine significance. These verses recount the resting of Nūḥ’s عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام ark on Mount Judi, symbolising Allāh’s mercy upon the believers and His justice upon the disbelievers. They also highlight the interaction between Nūḥ عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام and Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ regarding his son, affirming that righteousness, not lineage, determines true family. The narrative concludes with a powerful reminder of Allāh’s omniscience and the authenticity of the revelation given to the Prophet ﷺ, urging patience and trust in His divine plan.

In this lesson of Sūrah Al-A‘rāf verses 138-143, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf discusses the trials faced by the Children of Israel after their miraculous crossing of the sea, highlighting their encounter with idol-worshippers and the impact this had on their faith. Despite witnessing Allah’s power, some among them requested idols, to which Mūsa عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام responded by reprimanding them for their ignorance. The lesson continues as Mūsa عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام reminds them of Allāh's blessings, including their salvation from Pharaoh. Additionally, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf addresses the profound moment when Mūsa requests to see Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ, leading to a divine display that causes him to fall unconscious, emphasizing Allāh’s unmatched majesty.

In this lesson of Sūrah Al-A’rāf, verses 130-137, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf delves into the repeated signs and punishments Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ sent upon the people of Fir`awn in an attempt to humble them and turn them back to Him. Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ first tested them with years of drought and famine but the people blamed Prophet Mūsa عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام and his followers for their plight. As each new calamity befell them including the plagues of locusts, frogs, and blood, Fir`awn and his people promised to repent if the affliction was removed. 

However, once the punishment was lifted, they broke their promises, continuing their defiance and disbelief. The ultimate punishment came when Fir`awn’s forces were drowned in the sea after they pursued the Children of Israel, who had been allowed to cross safely. The sea closed upon Fir`awn and his army, drowning them as a consequence of their rejection of Allāh’s signs. Meanwhile, the Children of Israel were granted the land promised to them, symbolising Allāh's support for those who are patient and obedient to Him. This story serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of repentance, humility, and reliance on Allāh’s justice.

In this lesson of Sūrah Al-A’rāf, verses 115-129, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf explores the confrontation between Prophet Mūsa عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام and Fir’awn magicians. Mūsa عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام allows the magicians to cast their spells first, and they create illusions that capture and terrify the audience. Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ then commands Mūsa عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام to throw his staff, which transforms into a serpent and consumes all of the magicians’ illusions, proving their sorcery false. 

Witnessing this undeniable miracle, the magicians fall into prostration and declare belief in the "Lord of Mūsa and Harun," even as Fir’awn accuses them of betrayal and threatens them with punishment. Fir’awn’s anger leads him to order the torture of the magicians, but they remain firm in faith, seeking Allāh’s mercy and preferring martyrdom. Mūsa عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام then turns to the oppressed Children of Israel, urging them to have patience and trust in Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ, who alone controls the earth’s destiny. Though they express frustration at their prolonged suffering, Mūsa عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام reassures them that patience and reliance on Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ will lead to victory. This passage highlights the triumph of faith and truth over falsehood and oppression.

In this lesson of Sūrah Al-A’rāf, verses 103-114, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf explores the story of Prophet Mūsa عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام and his mission to confront Fir’awn (Pharaoh) and his people with the message of Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ. Mūsa عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام is sent with clear signs, including his staff transforming into a serpent and his hand becoming radiant when he withdraws it from his cloak, demonstrating the truth of Mūsa’s prophethood. Fir’awn, however, reacts with arrogance, dismissing Musa’s miracles as mere magic. The verses describe Fir’awn’s attempt to weaken the message of Mūsa عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام by portraying him as a powerful sorcerer whose intentions threaten the political and social order of Egypt. 

Fir’awn’s chiefs suggest gathering magicians from across the land, confident that their skills can match or overpower Mūsa’s miracles. Fir’awn’s promises of rewards and honour for the magicians underscore his fear of losing authority. In agreeing to meet publicly, Mūsa عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام accepts Fir’awn’s challenge, embodying trust in Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ. This lesson reflects on the futility of Fir’awn’s resistance against divine power and the consequences of rejecting truth out of arrogance and fear.

In this lesson of Sūrah Al-A’rāf, verses 96-102, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf discusses the consequences of rejecting faith and the blessings that come with belief in Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ. Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ warns that if the people of the towns had believed and practiced Taqwa, they would have received blessings from the heavens and earth. 

However, their rejection led to punishment. Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf highlights the example of past nations, such as the people of Prophet Yunus عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام, who only believed after facing torment, and Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ spared them. The lesson stresses that no one is secure from Allāh's plan, and that rejecting guidance leads to the sealing of hearts. It also reflects on the importance of staying true to the innate faith (Fitrah) that Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ has placed within every human being.

In this lesson of Sūrah Al-A’rāf, verses 88-95, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf discusses the response of Prophet Shū’ayb’s عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام people when they rejected his call to monotheism. Their chiefs threatened to expel Shū’ayb عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام and his followers from the land unless they abandoned their faith and reverted to disbelief. Shū’ayb عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام, however, emphasised his unwavering trust in Allāh  عَزَّوَجَلَّ, declaring that he would never lie against Allāh  عَزَّوَجَلَّ nor compromise on His commands. 

Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan explains how Allāh’s judgment ultimately came upon the disbelievers as an earthquake and sudden affliction, demonstrating the futility of their arrogance and rebellion. These verses also highlights Allāh’s testing of earlier nations through alternating hardships and blessings. Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan elaborates on the wisdom behind these trials, showing that while believers are grateful in prosperity and patient in adversity, the disbelievers dismissed such trials as mere cycles of fate, failing to recognise the wisdom of Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ. The lesson concludes with the reminder that Allāh’s justice is certain and sudden, and that ultimate success lies in humbling oneself before Him.

In this lesson of Sūrah Al-Aʿrāf, verses 80-87, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf explains the story of Prophet Lūṭ عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام and his people, focusing on their sinful behavior and ultimate destruction. Lūṭ عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام was sent to the people of Sodom to warn them against their corrupt practices, particularly their engagement in homosexuality, which had never been seen before among humanity. Despite the severe warning of Prophet Lūṭ عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام, the people of Sodom rejected his message, stating that they had no interest in women and would continue their immoral practices. Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ eventually commanded Lūṭ عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام and his family to leave the city by night, instructing them not to look back or take Lūṭ’s wife with them. His wife, who had conspired against him and supported the wrongdoing of her people, remained behind. The punishment of the people of Sodom was swift and severe. They suffered the fate of destruction as Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ sent a rain of stones upon them. These verses serve as a stark warning to all those who turn away from the guidance of Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ.

In this lesson of Sūrah Al-A‘rāf, verses 173-179, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf explains the story of the tribe of Thamūd. He discusses their lineage, tracing it back to Thamūd bin Athir and highlighting their ancient roots as part of the Al-‘Aribah Arabs. The Shaykh elaborates on how the tribe was settled between the Ḥijāz and Ash-Shām and how Prophet Ṣāliḥ عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ was sent to guide them towards the worship of Allāh عَزَّ وَجَلَّ alone. The episode also covers the miraculous she-camel that was produced from a solid rock as a sign from Allāh عَزَّ وَجَلَّ. Despite the clear miracle, the Thamūd rejected Ṣāliḥ's message and conspired to kill the she-camel, leading to their eventual destruction. Shaykh Dr. Ḥanīf emphasizes the lessons from their arrogance and disbelief, warning against the consequences of turning away from divine guidance.

In this lesson from Sūrah Al-A‘rāf, verses 65-72, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf discusses Prophet Hūd عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ and the people of ‘Ād. The people of ‘Ād were the descendants of ‘Ād, son of Iram, son of Aws, son of Sām, son of Nūḥ (Noah). They lived in Aḥqāf, an area in present-day Yemen, known for their strength and impressive structures. Prophet Hūd عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ was sent to guide his people away from idol worship and back to the worship of Allāh عَزَّ وَجَلَّ. Despite his sincere message, the ‘Ād people ridiculed him, claiming he was mad. Hūd عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ reminded them of Allāh's blessings and warned of dire consequences for their arrogance. He foretold that a "barren wind" would punish them for their denial. This ultimately led to their destruction, illustrating the importance of heeding divine guidance and the dangers of pride and disbelief.

In this lesson of Sūrah Al-A‘rāf, verses 59-64, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf delves into the pivotal story of Prophet Nūḥ عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ and his mission to guide his people away from idol worship. He recounts Nūḥ's lineage and the origins of idol worship that arose after the righteous died, leading to the creation of images and statues. Nūḥ عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ boldly calls his people to worship Allah عَزَّ وَجَلَّ alone, warning them of the severe consequences of associating partners with Him. Despite his sincere warnings, his community rejects him, deeming him misguided. The lesson emphasises Allah's mercy through revelation, the importance of adhering to true guidance, and the inevitable victory of those who believe, culminating in the divine retribution against the disbelievers and the salvation of Nūḥ عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ and his followers.

In Surah Al-A’rāf, verses 52-58, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf elaborates that Allāh  عَزَّوَجَلَّ asserts that the idolaters have received a clear message through the Book revealed to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ,, leaving them with no excuse for their disbelief. The Book contains perfect knowledge, and on the Day of Judgement, the idolaters will regret their rejection of the truth and wish for a chance to return to life to perform good deeds. 

Allah  عَزَّوَجَلَّ then highlights His creation of the universe in six days, emphasizing His sovereignty as He sits on the Throne in a manner befitting His majesty. The verses call for sincere supplication to Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ, reminding believers that He hears every prayer and dislikes excess in requests. Allāh forbids causing disorder on Earth, as corruption brings harm. Finally, Allāh  عَزَّوَجَلَّ illustrates His power through nature, sending rain to revive barren land and bringing life, paralleling this with the resurrection of humanity on the Day of Judgement.

In this lesson of Sūrah Al-A'rāf, verses 44-51, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf explores the striking dialogue between the people of Paradise and the people of Hellfire. The former declare that they have found Allāh's promise to be true and ask the latter if they have also found His warning to be true. The dwellers of hell acknowledge their punishment in response. This exchange emphasises the anguish and regret of the people of Hell, who are reminded of their arrogance and rejection of faith in the worldly life. 

The verses also introduce the people of Al-A'rāf, those whose deeds are equally balanced between good and evil, situated on an elevated place between Paradise and Hell. They express their longing to enter Paradise while pleading to Allāh  عَزَّوَجَلَّ  not to place them among the wrongdoers. The lesson concludes with the humiliation of the people of Hellfire as they beg for water and provisions from the people of Paradise, but are denied. 

In this lesson of Sūrah Al-A’rāf, verses 37-43, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf explores the fate of idolators and the consequences of their actions in the Hereafter. He discusses how those who invent lies against Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ or reject His signs will face severe repercussions, with their deeds determining their ultimate fate. The lecture describes the moment of death when angels confront the idolators, highlighting their despair as they realise their false gods are powerless to aid them. 

Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf further explains the turmoil in Hell, where the inhabitants will curse and blame one another for their misguidance. The lesson serves as a stark reminder that the gates of Heaven will remain closed to those who deny Allāh's Ayat, while the believers who have acted righteously will be rewarded with eternal life in Paradise, free from envy and hatred.

In this lesson of Sūrah Al-A’rāf, verses 31-36, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf explores the commands of Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ regarding proper conduct and modesty, especially when attending the masjid. The verses refute the practices of the idolaters who performed Tawaf around the Ka'bah while naked. Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ instructs the believers to take adornment which refers to the clean and modest clothing—when attending the masjid and to avoid extravagance in their eating and drinking. The lesson highlights Allāh’s prohibition against self-imposed restrictions on food, drink, and clothing without divine authority. It also emphasises the dangers of arrogance, sin, and shirk, reminding believers of their accountability on the Day of Judgment. Those who adhere to righteousness will be free from fear and grief, while the arrogant rejectors will face eternal punishment in the Fire.

In this lesson, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif expounds upon Ayahs 22 to 30 of Surah al-A'raf, illustrating the immense mercy of Allah in stark contrast to the deceitful tactics of Shaytan. After Prophet Adam عَلَیهِ‌ السَّلام and Hawwa علیها السلام ate from the forbidden tree, their nakedness was unveiled, prompting them to cover themselves with leaves from Paradise. When Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ called out to them, reminding them of His divine command and the enmity of Shaytan, they humbly acknowledged their mistake, saying, “Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves.” 

This sincere act of repentance (Tawbah) highlights a crucial distinction between Prophet Adam عَلَیهِ‌ السَّلام and Shaytan. Prophet Adam عَلَیهِ‌ السَّلام recognised his mistake and earnestly pledged to never repeat it, whereas Shaytan, consumed by arrogance, refused to seek forgiveness. True Tawbah begins with a firm conviction and an understanding that disobedience ultimately harms oneself, not Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ. 

Shaytan seeks to lead as many of the children of Prophet Adam عَلَیهِ‌ السَّلام astray as possible, unwilling to bear the consequences of his actions alone. Muslims are reminded not to boast about their sins or engage in them publicly. Instead, they should strive to refrain from sinful behaviour, and when they do err, turn back to Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ in sincere repentance. It is important to note that Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ does not command immortality, thus highlighting the difference between divine guidance and the deceptive promises of Shaytan.

In this lesson, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif highlights the profound honour granted to prophet Adam عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام , the first human being, as narrated in Surah al-A'raf, verse 11-21. Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ commands the angels to prostrate to Adam, but Shaytan, filled with arrogance and envy, refused to obey Allah's command. This exploration highlights the themes of envy, arrogance, and deception, serving as a warning for us to be vigilant against Shaytan’s influences in our own lives.

In this lesson, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif explains that the Qur'an is a guide for believers and a warning for those who reject the faith, as detailed in Surah Al-A'raf, verses 1-10. He begins by discussing Allah's command to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, to convey the message without doubt or hesitation, drawing strength from the examples of previous Messengers who exhibited great patience. Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ also warns of severe consequences for nations that denied their Messengers, leading to their disgrace in this life and punishment in the Hereafter. 

Moreover, he addresses the Day of Resurrection, where everyone will be held accountable for their deeds. Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ will question each individual about their responses to His Messengers and the messages they received. This moment serves as a reminder of His justice, as every action—great or small—will be weighed fairly. The Qur'an's teachings will come forth to testify for or against individuals, reinforcing the significance of living righteously.

In this lesson, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif explains that the disbelievers are warned about the consequences of their denial and defiance against Allah  عَزَّوَجَلَّ in verses 158-165 of Surah Al-An’am. They await signs of the Day of Resurrection, but it will be too late for them to believe when they witness these signs, such as the sun rising from the west and the appearance of Ad-Dajjal (the false messiah). At that moment, belief will not be accepted. Additionally, believers are reminded that good deeds are multiplied in reward, while sins are counted as they are.

Shaykh Ahsan emphasises that following these laws leads to salvation, while rejecting them leads to ruin. Allah  عَزَّوَجَلَّ further affirms in these verses that the Qur’an is His final revelation, a clear guide and criterion for distinguishing right from wrong. 

In this episode, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif explores Surah Al-An'am, verses 147-150, addressing the misconceptions of the idolaters, who argue that if Allah  عَزَّوَجَلَّ truly willed it, He would have guided them away from their shirk and false practices. Furthermore, these verses warn against falsely claiming inspiration and emphasise the consequences for those who invent lies against Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ.

In this lesson of Sūrah Al-An’ām, verses 84-90, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf reflects on the lineage of prophets and their shared commitment to divine guidance. Allah mentions how He bestowed upon Ibrāhīm (Abraham) righteous descendants, including Ishāq (Isaac), Ya‘qūb (Jacob), and other key prophets like Dāwūd (David), Sulaymān (Solomon), Mūsā (Moses), and ‘Īsā (Jesus), each one favored and guided by Allāh. 

The lesson highlights Allāh’s reward for their righteousness and steadfastness, emphasizing that had they associated partners with Him, their deeds would have been void. The passage concludes with an exhortation for Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ to follow their example, presenting the Qur’ān as a reminder for all of humanity and seeking no worldly reward for his message.

In this lesson of Sūrah Al-An’ām, verses 74-83, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf focuses on the story of Prophet Ibrāhīm (Abraham) and his argument against idol worship. Ibrāhīm’s journey toward recognizing Allāh’s oneness is highlighted, as he rejects the worship of celestial bodies like stars, the moon, and the sun, realizing that only Allāh, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, deserves to be worshipped. The passage showcases Ibrāhīm’s steadfastness in monotheism despite the opposition of his people and his firm reliance on Allāh’s guidance.

In this lesson of Sūrah Al-An’ām, verses 68-73, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf discusses the guidance on how to deal with those who mock the verses of the Qur'ān. The verses instruct believers to avoid engaging with mockery and to separate themselves from such gatherings until the conversation changes. 

The lesson stresses the responsibility of the pious to remind others of Allāh’s warnings while steering clear of those who treat religion as a joke. The passage also warns against turning to false deities after being guided, illustrating the dire consequences of abandoning faith. 

It concludes by affirming Allāh’s absolute authority, His creation of the heavens and the earth, and His ultimate dominion on the Day of Resurrection.

In this lesson of Sūrah Al-An’ām, verses 60-67, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf explores themes of divine authority, accountability, and human reliance on Allāh. The verses remind us that Allāh controls our lives, taking our souls at night and returning them in the morning until our appointed time comes. 

Allāh’s guardianship over humanity is emphasised, especially in moments of death when His messengers (angels) dutifully take the souls of those passing away. The passage also highlights human vulnerability in times of distress, where people turn to Allāh for rescue, yet often return to worshipping other than Him once distress has passed. 

The discussion concludes with a warning about the consequences of denying the truth of the Qur'ān and the inevitable reality of divine judgment.

In this lesson of Sūrah Al-An’ām, verses 53-59, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf delves into the themes of divine selection, mercy, and ultimate authority. The verses highlight how Allāh tests different groups by bestowing favors on some, leading others to question His wisdom. 

The discussion emphasises Allāh’s boundless mercy, extended to those who repent after wrongdoing, and His detailed exposition of the truth to distinguish the righteous from the wrongdoers. In this lesson of Sūrah Al-An’ām verses 46-53, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf discussed verses pertaining to His power once more with rherorical questions that causes one to sincerely reflect on His Lordship. It ends on the exhortation toward the Prophet ﷺ on how he should warn those who fear the day of gathering of their ultimate weakness in averting His punishment and having no Protection except from Allāh ﷻ Himself and also to stay close to the people of worship and sincerity, favouring their company over others."

In this lesson of Sūrah Al-An’ām verses 36-45, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf discussed verses pertaining to His power and directly addresses the criticisms by the idolators. Allāh's ﷻ concludes by leaving a lesson for the believers on the idolators shortfalls and how their weaknesses limited their ability to accept the truth.

Allah knows their hearts, so admonish them gently. If they had sought forgiveness sincerely, Allah would have forgiven them.

Allah clarifies lawful and unlawful, guiding you and accepting repentance. He wishes to ease your burden, knowing human weakness. Believers, don't unjustly consume each other's wealth or harm yourselves. Allah warns against injustice, promising severe punishment. Avoid major sins; Allah will forgive minor ones and reward everyone accordingly. He appoints heirs and witnesses all deeds.

Forbidden are married women, except slaves. Marry others with bridal payment, seeking chastity. If you can't marry free women, marry believing girls from your slaves. Allah knows your faith. They should be chaste. If they commit adultery, their punishment is half that of unmarried women. This is for those who fear harm. Practice self-restraint. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

In this episode, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif emphasises Allah's decree regarding marital ethics. Allah instructs against unjustly reclaiming gifts given to wives and warns against replacing one wife with another unjustly. Additionally, He prohibits marrying certain relatives and reiterates His forgiveness and mercy.

Both parties involved in adultery should face punishment, but if they repent sincerely, forgive them. Allah forgives those who repent out of ignorance. However, if one persists in evil until death or dies in disbelief, their repentance is in vain. Believers are reminded not to mistreat women or coerce them into giving up their rights. Treat them with respect, and even if you dislike something about them, Allah may bring goodness from it.

Allah sets clear rules for inheritance: for wives without children, husbands get half, and for wives with children, husbands receive a fourth. For husbands without children, wives get a fourth, and for wives with children, they receive an eighth. If there are siblings but no parents or children, each sibling gets a sixth, or a third if there are more than two. Obeying these laws leads to paradise, while disobedience leads to fire and disgraceful torment.

Allah ordains a fair distribution of inheritance, with specific shares for men and women. Executors must be just and kind to relatives, orphans, and the poor. Wrongfully consuming orphans' wealth leads to punishment. Allah commands regarding children's inheritance, allocating fixed shares based on family structure and responsibilities. This distribution ensures fairness and is guided by Allah's wisdom and knowledge.

Allah commands humanity to fear Him and uphold family ties. He emphasises caring for orphans, warning against exploiting their wealth. If you are unable to treat orphan girls justly in marriage, marry others or remain single. Pay women their bridal money willingly. Don't entrust property to the foolish; provide for them kindly. Assess orphans' maturity before releasing their wealth, ensuring fair treatment. Allah is sufficient as a witness and keeper of accounts.

Allah assures believers, both men and women, that their efforts will never go to waste. Those who suffered and fought for His cause will be rewarded with paradise. Don't be deceived by the apparent success of disbelievers; their fate is Hell. But for those who fear Allah, there are Gardens of eternal bliss. Some among the People of the Scripture believe sincerely, not compromising the truth for worldly gain. Believers are urged to endure patiently, maintain their defences, and fear Allah for success.

Allah made a covenant with the People of the Scripture to spread the news of Prophet Muhammad, but they ignored it. They rejoice in their false deeds, but punishment awaits them. Allah holds dominion over everything. The heavens and the earth bear signs for those who reflect. Those who remember Allah in all positions pray for salvation from the Fire and seek forgiveness. They believe in the Prophet and pray for Allah's promise to be fulfilled, seeking refuge from disgrace on Judgment Day.

In this episode, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif explains how Allah rebuked the Jews for claiming Allah is poor and they are rich, condemning their unjust killing of prophets. Allah warns of impending torment for their deeds and asserts His justice. The Jews demanded miraculous signs from prophets, despite receiving clear evidence before. 

Rejecting truth leads to consequences, as seen with previous nations. Death is certain, with rewards given on Judgement Day. This worldly life is temporary and deceptive. Believers will face trials from various groups, but perseverance and piety ensure success in all matters.

In this episode, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif discusses the believers' unwavering faith despite adversity. They responded to Allah and the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ even after being wounded, earning a great reward. Allah's grace protected them, and they remained firm in their trust in Him. The believers are urged not to fear the supporters of disbelief but to fear Allah alone. Those rushing to disbelief will face torment, and those who prefer disbelief over faith will suffer. 

Allah delays punishment for the disbelievers, allowing them to increase in sinfulness, but their ultimate fate will be disgraceful. Allah will distinguish between the wicked and the good, and those withholding Allah's bounty will face severe consequences on the Day of Resurrection.

In this episode, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif explains that Allah reminded the believers about facing trials and disasters. When calamity struck, some questioned its origin, but it was a test from Allah. The battle of Uhud was a trial for both believers and hypocrites. Hypocrites, though claiming faith, avoided participating in battle, showing their true intentions. Those who die in Allah's cause are not dead but alive with their Lord, rejoicing in His blessings. Their sacrifice is honoured, and Allah does not waste the reward of the believers.

In this episode, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif explains that Allah instructed the believers to deal gently with others, as harshness could drive them away. They are advised to forgive and consult others in their affairs, putting their trust in Allah. 

Believers are reminded that if Allah supports them, no one can defeat them. It's prohibited for a Prophet to unlawfully take a share of the booty, and those who do so will face consequences on the Day of Resurrection. Allah's pleasure is far better than drawing His wrath. Believers received a great favour when Allah sent Prophet Muhammad to guide and purify them, leading them from error to righteousness.

In this episode, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif explains that Allah reminded the believers of a past event where they fled the battlefield, despite the Prophet calling them back. Allah allowed them to face distress as a lesson not to grieve over worldly losses. After this trial, Allah granted them security. 

Some believers were distracted by selfish thoughts, but Allah knows all that is hidden in their hearts. Those who turned away during the battle were influenced by Satan, but Allah forgave them. Believers are advised not to be like hypocrites who regret not joining battles, as Allah controls life and death. The forgiveness and mercy from Allah are far greater than worldly wealth, and ultimately, everyone will return to Allah.

In this episode, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif explains that Allah warned the believers not to obey the disbelievers, as it would lead them away from faith and towards loss. Instead, believers should rely on Allah, who is the best supporter and protector. 

Allah promises to instill fear in the hearts of disbelievers who associate partners with Him, leading them to the Fire. Despite initial success in battle, some believers faltered due to their desire for worldly gains, but Allah forgave them, showing His mercy to the believers.

Trials and tests come to distinguish true believers from wrongdoers. Those who fought and remained patient are honoured, and their supplications for forgiveness and victory are answered by Allah. The reward for their perseverance is both in this world and the hereafter, showing Allah's love for those who do good.

In this episode, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif explains that Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ recounts moments of divine support during the Battle of Uhud, reminding believers to trust in Him. Despite being outnumbered, Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ aided them, just as He did at the Battle of Badr when they were weak. Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ assures believers that victory comes from Him alone. He sends angels to assist and encourages believers to remain patient and righteous. The decision to forgive or punish lies with Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ, who is both merciful and just.

In this episode, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif explains that Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ emphasizes the consequences for those who reject faith, stating that neither their wealth nor their children can protect them from Allah's punishment. Believers are cautioned against taking non-believers as advisors, as they may corrupt them. Their joy at others' misfortune is evident, but believers are urged to remain patient and righteous, as Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ knows all their actions.

Though some of the people of the Scripture stand for truth, most are disobedient to Allah. They may cause minor troubles, but they will ultimately fail if they fight against believers. Whatever good they do will not be rejected by Allah.

In this episode, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif explains that Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ conveys through Muhammad ﷺ the ability to declare belief in Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ and what was revealed to various prophets like Ibrahim, Musa, Isa, and others. There's no distinction between them; all are submitted to Allah. Rejecting Islam leads to loss in the hereafter.

Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ doesn't guide those who disbelieve after acknowledging the truth. Their fate is the curse of Allah, angels, and humanity, dwelling eternally in Hell with no relief unless they sincerely repent and do good deeds. True piety involves spending in Allah's cause from what one cherishes, known well by Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ.

In this episode, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif explains that Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ reveals how some distort the scriptures with their words, claiming it's from Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ when it's not, knowingly lying. Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ clarifies that no one with knowledge and prophethood would ask people to worship them instead of Allah. Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ reminds us of the covenant with the prophets to believe in and support the final Messenger, Muhammad ﷺ. Those who turn away from this covenant are considered rebellious. Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ questions why people would seek a religion other than His, as all beings ultimately submit to Him, whether willingly or not, and will return to Him in the end.

In this episode, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif explains that Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ reveals how some people of the Scripture believe in Islam during the day but reject it by night, hoping to mislead believers. Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ asserts that true guidance comes only from Him and cannot be attained by following one's desires. He highlights the diversity among the people of the Scripture, some of whom are trustworthy while others deceive. Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ warns against betraying trusts and breaking oaths, as such actions lead to severe consequences in the Hereafter. 

In this episode, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif explains that Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ instructs Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to invite Jews and Christians to a fair agreement: to worship only Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ and not associate partners with Him. He questions their disputes about Prophet Ibrahim and reminds them that Ibrahim was not a Jew or a Christian but a true Muslim, submitting to Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ alone. 

Those who follow Ibrahim are the true claimants to his legacy. However, some people of the Scripture aim to mislead, concealing truths. Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ questions their disbelief in His signs and their mixing of truth with falsehood.

In this episode, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif explains that Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ told the story of Isa (Jesus). When Isa realised the disbelief of the people, he asked for helpers in Allah's cause, and his disciples pledged allegiance. They prayed to be among those who bear witness to the truth. 

Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ foiled the plots against Isa, promising to elevate his followers. For disbelievers, severe punishment awaits, while believers in Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ and righteous deeds will be rewarded. The story of Isa, akin to that of Adam, is a reminder of Allah's power. Those who dispute should seek truth through prayer, and Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ knows those who spread mischief.

In this episode, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif explains that Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ informed Maryam through the angels about the birth of Isa, who would be honoured in this world and the Hereafter. Isa would speak to people from the cradle and in adulthood, and he would be righteous. Maryam expressed her wonder at conceiving a child without a man's touch, and Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ assured her that He creates as He wills.

Isa would be taught the Book, wisdom, the Torah, and the Gospel, and he would be sent as a Messenger to the Children of Israel. He would perform miracles, including creating a bird from clay and healing the blind and the leper. Isa confirmed the previous scriptures and made lawful what was once forbidden. He urged people to fear Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ and follow the Straight Path.

In this episode, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif explains that Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ told the story of Zakariya and Maryam. Zakariya prayed for a righteous son, and the angels gave him glad tidings of Yahya. Despite his old age and his wife's barrenness, Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ granted Zakariya's wish. 

Maryam was chosen and purified by Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ, elevated above all women of her time. She was instructed to submit to Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ and worship Him devoutly. This narrative reveals unseen events from the past, including the selection of Maryam's caretaker through divine intervention.

In this episode, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif explains that on the Day of Judgement, every person will face the consequences of their actions, wishing to distance themselves from their wrongdoings. Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ advises us to love Him by following the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, promising forgiveness and mercy to those who do so. Disbelievers are urged to obey Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ and His Messenger. 

Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ chose noble lineages, including that of Adam, Nooh, Ibrahim, and Imran, above all others. Imran's wife vowed to dedicate her child to Allah's service before Maryam was born. Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ accepted Maryam and provided for her abundantly, placing her under the care of Zakariya.

In this episode, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif discusses verses where people of the Scripture are invited to settle their disputes by turning to the Book of Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ, but some refuse and turn away. They are deceived by false beliefs, thinking they will only face the Fire for a few days. However, on the Day of Resurrection, everyone will be fully recompensed for their deeds. Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ is the ultimate authority, capable of honouring and humiliating whomever He wills.

He controls the cycles of day and night, life and death, and bestows wealth without limit. Believers are cautioned not to take disbelievers as allies, as they will find no assistance from Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ except in cases of imminent danger. Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ knows all that is hidden and revealed, in the heavens and on the earth.

In this episode, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif discusses verses affirming Allah's witness to His exclusive right of worship and the importance of maintaining justice. Islam is declared as the true religion, and those who reject its signs face swift accountability. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and His followers submit to Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ, inviting others to do the same. Disbelievers who unjustly kill prophets and promote corruption will face severe punishment and have no helpers in this world or the Hereafter.

In this episode, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif elucidates verses affirming that the disbelievers' wealth and progeny won't protect them from Allah's punishment; they will be the fuel of the fire. Similar fates befell the people of Fir'aun due to their denial of Allah's signs. A stern warning is given to disbelievers, foretelling their defeat and gathering in Hell, the worst abode.

Reflecting on the Battle of Badr, believers saw their disbelieving foes as twice their number, yet Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ granted victory to those fighting for His cause. The love for worldly possessions like wealth, family, and luxuries may captivate men, but Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ promises far better for the pious: eternal Gardens with flowing rivers and purified mates.

In this episode, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif delves into the profound verses of Alif-Lam-Mim. These verses are among the miracles of the Qur'an, known only to Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ. The verses affirm Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ as the Ever Living, the Sustainer of all existence. The Qur'an is sent with truth, confirming previous revelations like the Torah and the Gospel and guiding mankind. Those who reject Allah's signs face severe punishment. Nothing is hidden from Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ in the heavens or the earth; He shapes creation in the wombs as He wills. 

The Qur'an contains clear and foundational verses, while others are not entirely clear. Those with deviated hearts seek hidden meanings, but only Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ knows them. People of understanding believe in the entirety of the Qur'ân. The supplication seeks guidance and mercy and emphasises Allah's promise to gather mankind on the Day of Judgement without fail.

In this episode, on the last page of Surah Al Baqarah, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif emphasises the importance of honesty and accountability in financial matters, especially when on a journey. He highlights Allah's ownership of everything and the believers' unwavering faith in His Messages and Messengers.

The supplication of believers seeks forgiveness, Mercy, and strength to face challenges without being overwhelmed. The message underscores the principle that Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ does not burden beyond one's capacity and encourages a sincere and transparent approach in dealing with trust and financial transactions.

In this episode, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif explains that Allah advises believers:

When you owe someone for a specific time, write it down. A fair scribe should document it justly, as taught by Allah. The one in debt should speak and not reduce what is owed, fearing Allah. 

If they can't speak, their guardian can, and two male witnesses are preferred. If unavailable, a man and two women can serve as witnesses. Everyone involved should not refuse to testify. It's crucial to write down contracts, no matter the size, for a clear term, preventing doubts. Immediate trades done in person are an exception. Harming the scribe or witnesses is wrong, so fear Allah. Allah is aware of everything.

In this episode, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif emphasises that engaging in usury leads to severe consequences on the Day of Resurrection. Allah permits trading but forbids usury. Those who stop usury after receiving guidance will be spared punishment.

Allah will eliminate usury and increase rewards for charitable deeds, showing displeasure towards disbelievers and sinners. True believers, performing good deeds and giving charity, will be rewarded without fear or grief.

In this episode, Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif highlights that when you spend, whether in charity or fulfilling vows, Allah is fully aware. Concealing your charitable acts and helping the poor is better than expiating sins.

Your guidance is not upon others; Allah guides whom He wills. Whatever good you spend is for yourselves, seeking Allah's approval. Charity is for the dedicated poor, who don't beg but are recognised by their characteristics. Those who spend for Allah, in public or secret, will be rewarded by their Lord, free from fear or grief.

Certainly, on page 45, Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ compares sincere spenders to a fruitful garden, emphasising that Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ rewards their efforts abundantly. A cautionary analogy warns against desiring a garden that may be destroyed when one is unable to care for it.

Believers are advised to spend their lawful earnings, avoiding bad expenditures. The page underscores Allah's richness and the importance of wise choices.

The warning against Satan's threats and Allah's promises of forgiveness and bounty is highlighted. Allah's grant of wisdom is mentioned, with a reminder that understanding requires reflection and is received only by those with insight.

In this episode, Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ illustrates Prophet Ibrahim's request to witness the resurrection of the dead through a symbolic act with birds. The page emphasises the manifold increase in rewards for those who spend in Allah's way, using the analogy of a grain of corn growing seven ears.

It further highlights the importance of genuine charity, kind words, and forgiveness, contrasting it with charity done for show. The warning is given not to nullify charity with reminders or harm. Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ values sincerity and patience, whereas deeds without true belief are likened to a washed-away rock.

Certainly, on page 43, Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ highlights that He is the Protector of believers, guiding them from darkness to light. Conversely, disbelievers are led by false deities (Tagut) into darkness, becoming eternal inhabitants of the Fire.

The page also recounts two stories. Firstly, Ibrahim challenges a disbeliever who claimed to give life and death, proving his arrogance false. Secondly, a man doubts Allah's ability to revive a ruined town. Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ causes him to die for a century and then resurrects him, demonstrating His power over life and death. The man acknowledges Allah's omnipotence.

On page 42, Allah highlights the distinctions among His messengers, favoring some over others. Some received direct speech from Allah, while others were elevated in status. Prophet Esa the son of Maryam, was granted clear proofs and supported by the Holy Spirit Jibril.

Allah emphasises that if He had willed, succeeding generations would not have fought each other after receiving clear signs. However, people differed – some believed, and others disbelieved. Allah, in His wisdom, allows free will.

A message is directed to believers, urging them to spend from what Allah has provided before a Day when there will be no bargaining, friendship, or intercession. This caution is particularly for disbelievers, highlighting the consequences of wrongdoing.

The verses also describe Allah as the Ever Living, the Sustainer of all existence. He neither slumbers nor sleeps, and everything in the heavens and on earth belongs to Him.

His knowledge encompasses all aspects of His creation, and nothing happens without His permission. His authority extends over the heavens and the earth, and He guards them tirelessly. Allah is elevated in status, being the Most High and the Most Great.

The principle of no compulsion in religion is affirmed, stating that the right path is distinct from the wrong path. Those who reject falsehood and believe in Allah hold onto the most trustworthy handhold that will never break. Allah, being All-Hearing and All-Knowing, guides those who choose the right path willingly.

On page 41, Allah narrates the story of Talut leading the army, and Allah tested them by a river. Talut instructed that only those who refrained from drinking from the river would be with him. However, most of them drank, except for a few believers. When they crossed the river, facing Jalut and his forces, some despaired due to the apparent mismatch.

Yet, those certain of meeting their Lord remained patient, recalling instances where a small group had overcome a mighty host with Allah's permission. They prayed for patience, steadfastness, and victory against the disbelieving people.

By Allah's leave, they routed the enemy, and Dawud killed Jalut. Subsequently, Allah granted Dawud the kingdom and Al-Hikmah (Prophethood), teaching him as He willed. The verses emphasise that Allah's intervention prevents chaos on Earth, and His bountiful Mercy is extended to all existence.

These are the authentic verses of Allah, recited truthfully to Prophet Muhammad (SAW), confirming his role as one of Allah's messengers.

On page 40, Allah recounts the story of the Children of Israel after the time of the Prophet Musa. They requested a king to lead them in Allah's Way. However, when they were commanded to fight, most of them turned away despite their earlier commitment. Allah, being All-Aware, observed their injustice.

The Prophet Shammil conveyed to them that Allah had chosen Talut (Saul) as their king. Some among them questioned this choice, arguing that they were more deserving due to their fitness and wealth. The Prophet Shammil explained that Allah's selection is based on knowledge and stature, not material wealth. Allah bestows His Kingdom upon whom He wills, and He is sufficient for all needs, all-knowing.

Furthermore, the Prophet Shammil informed them of a sign of Allah's Kingdom – the arrival of At-Tâbût, a wooden box containing Sakinah (peace and reassurance) from the Lord, along with remnants left by Moses (Mûsâ) and Aaron (Hârûn), carried by angels. This sign was to serve as evidence for those who truly believe.

On page 39, Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ provides comprehensive guidance covering various aspects of a Muslim's life. The verses underscore the significance of observing the five obligatory prayers, with a particular emphasis on the middle prayer (Asr), and the need for devoutness during these sacred moments.

Additionally, practical instructions are given for praying in times of fear, either on foot or riding, emphasizing flexibility in worship based on the circumstances. Financial responsibilities are outlined, stressing the provision of a year's maintenance and residence for widows without forcing them out and the duty to offer reasonable support for divorced women.

These responsibilities are framed as obligations for the pious (Al-Muttaqun). The narrative also recounts a poignant story of individuals leaving their homes in fear, facing death upon Allah's command, and subsequently being restored to life—a testament to Allah's immense mercy.

The verses conclude with a call to fight in the way of Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ and a thought-provoking question about lending a good loan to Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ, highlighting His control over provisions and the inevitable return to Him. Together, these verses weave a tapestry of guidance, encompassing prayer, financial ethics, divine mercy, and the ultimate call to serve in the path of Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ.

On page 38, Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ provides guidance on marital matters, emphasising justice and honour in relationships. The verses discuss the waiting period for widows, detailing a period of four months and ten days, after which they are free to marry again in a just and honourable manner.

The text also permits subtle hints of betrothal but urges transparency in contractual promises, aligning them with Islamic law. Consummation is advised only after the prescribed waiting period, highlighting the importance of patience and adherence to divine regulations.

The verses further address the issue of divorcing women before physical intimacy, stressing the duty to provide a reasonable gift, proportionate to one's means, as part of the divorce process. Notably, if divorce occurs before any physical contact, half of the agreed-upon bridal money should be paid, unless both parties agree otherwise. The overarching theme is one of fairness, mindfulness, and the recognition that Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ observes all actions.

On page 37, Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ provides guidance on divorce and the treatment of divorced women. After fulfilling the prescribed waiting period, divorced women can either be taken back on reasonable terms or set free but taking them back to harm is a wrongdoing against oneself.

Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ emphasizes not to treat His laws lightly and reminds believers of the favors of Islam and the guidance in the Qur'an and the Prophet's Sunnah.

If divorced women, having completed their waiting period, wish to marry their former husbands again, it is permissible if both parties agree on reasonable terms. This is an admonition for those who believe in Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ and the Last Day, and it is considered more virtuous and purer.

Regarding childcare, mothers are instructed to breastfeed their children for two whole years if they wish to complete the term. The father is responsible for bearing the cost of the mother's food and clothing on a reasonable basis during this period. The financial burden should be within the capacity of each individual, and neither mother nor father should be treated unfairly because of their child.

In case of mutual agreement between parents to wean the child, there is no sin, and if foster suckling mothers are chosen, the agreed-upon compensation must be paid on a reasonable basis. The reminder is to fear Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ, knowing that He observes all actions.

On page 36, Allah discusses regulations regarding divorce. Those who swear not to have sexual relations with their wives must wait for four months, and if they reconsider, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. In the case of divorce, Allah, as the All-Hearing and All-Knowing, is aware of the decisions made.

Divorced women must wait for three menstrual periods, during which they cannot conceal any pregnancies. Husbands have the right to take them back within this period if reconciliation is sought. Women have rights similar to those of men, with men having a degree of responsibility.

Divorce is allowed twice, with the option to reconcile reasonably or part with kindness. Men cannot take back the bridal money given (Mahr) unless both parties fear breaching Allah's limits, and in such cases, returning part of the Mahr is acceptable.

If a man divorces his wife three times, she is not lawful for him unless she marries another husband, and if that marriage ends in divorce, they can reunite if they believe they can uphold Allah's limits. These regulations are clear for those with knowledge.

On page 35, Allah provides guidance for various aspects of life. Regarding orphans, believers are advised to work honestly on their property. Mixing affairs with orphans is acceptable if done with good intentions, as Allah discerns between mischief and good intentions.

The prohibition against marrying idolatresses is emphasized, with the reminder that a believing slave is better than a free idolater. Allah's invitation is to Paradise and forgiveness, contrasting with the invitation of idolaters leading to the fire.

Guidance on menstruation is provided, instructing believers to avoid intimate relations during this period and to approach their wives only after purification. Allah appreciates repentance and purification. The metaphor of wives as tilth reinforces the idea of respectful and consensual relations.

Believers are reminded not to use Allah's name as an excuse in oaths against doing good, emphasizing the importance of sincerity in promises. Allah forgives unintentional oaths but holds individuals accountable for their intentions.

On page 34, Allah declares that Jihad, holy fighting for Allah's cause, is ordained for Muslims, even though they may dislike it. Allah knows what is good for them, even if they are unaware. The question arises about fighting in the Sacred Months, and it is emphasized that preventing people from following the way of Allah, disbelieving in Him, obstructing access to Al-Masjid-Al-Haram, and driving out its inhabitants are greater transgressions than fighting in these months.

The struggle will continue until people are turned away from Islamic Monotheism, and those who turn back from their religion will face severe consequences.

Believers, including those who have emigrated and striven hard for Allah's cause, hope for Allah's mercy, as He is Oft-Forgiving and Most-Merciful. Questions about alcoholic drinks and gambling are addressed, with acknowledgment of some benefits but greater harm. Regarding spending, Allah advises giving beyond one's needs, clarifying His laws for thoughtful consideration.

On page 33, Allah reminds the Children of Israel of the numerous clear signs and revelations they were given. Changing Allah's favour, such as renouncing Islam for disbelief, brings severe punishment from Allah. The life of this world may appear attractive to disbelievers, and they mock those who believe. However, those who obey Allah and avoid forbidden actions will be elevated above the disbelievers on the Day of Resurrection, as Allah bestows His blessings without limit.

All of mankind was once a single community, and Allah sent prophets with guidance and warnings, along with scriptures, to judge disputes. Despite receiving clear proofs, people with scriptures differed due to mutual hatred. Allah, by His leave, guided the believers to the truth. Those who think they will enter paradise without facing trials are reminded of the struggles faced by previous communities, including poverty and ailments. The believers, even the Messenger and his followers, wondered when the help of Allah would come. The answer is reassurance that Allah's help is near.

When believers inquire about what to spend, they are instructed to spend on parents, relatives, orphans, the poor, and travelers. Whatever good deeds they do, Allah is fully aware of them.

On page 32, Allah discusses different types of people among mankind. Some individuals may speak pleasing words in this worldly life, calling upon Allah to witness their sincerity, yet they are among the most quarrelsome opponents. When they turn away, their actions lead to mischief, destruction of crops, and harm to livestock, which Allah dislikes. Those who persist in arrogance and crime, despite being advised to fear Allah, will find their abode in Hell—a terrible place to rest.

However, among mankind are those who willingly sell themselves, seeking the pleasure of Allah. Allah, in His kindness, is gracious to His slaves. Believers are advised to enter Islam completely, avoiding the footsteps of Satan, who is a clear enemy.

The warning is given that if one slides back after clear signs and guidance have come, Allah, being All-Mighty and All-Wise, will judge accordingly. The question is posed: Do they wait for Allah to come to them in the shadows of the clouds and the angels? The judgment is already predetermined, and all matters will ultimately return to Allah for decision.

On page 31, Allah instructs about the well-known months for Hajj, which are the 10th, 11th, and the first ten days of the 12th month of the Islamic lunar calendar. Those intending to perform Hajj should maintain piety, avoiding sin and disputes during this sacred journey. Allah is aware of all the good deeds performed during this time.

Believers are advised to take provisions for the journey, with the best provision being Taqwa (piety and righteousness). There is no sin in seeking the bounty of the Lord through trading during pilgrimage. After leaving 'Arafat, pilgrims are to remember Allah at Mash'ar-il-Haram and seek His forgiveness. Allah is often forgiving and merciful.

Upon completing the Manasik (rituals), believers are reminded to remember Allah as they remember their forefathers or even more. Some people seek worldly bounties only, while others ask for both goodness in this world and the hereafter. Allah will allot a share to each according to their deeds, and His reckoning is swift.

Believers are urged to remember Allah during the appointed days of Hajj, and those who hasten to leave in two days or stay longer will not incur sin if their intention is to do good and obey Allah, knowing that they will be gathered unto Him.

On page 30, Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ instructs believers to fight in the Way of Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ against those who initiate hostilities but cautions against transgressing limits, as Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ does not favour transgressors. The believers are encouraged to combat those who fight against them and to repel aggression. The severity of causing disorder (Al-Fitnah) is emphasised, and it is considered worse than killing.

The instruction is explicit: engage in combat wherever necessary, especially against those who attack at Al-Masjid-Al-Haram, the sanctuary at Makkah. However, if the aggressors cease hostilities, Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ is forgiving and merciful. The objective of the struggle is to eliminate disbelief and establish worship for Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ alone. The sacred month is protected, and there is a law of equality for prohibited acts.

Believers are urged to spend in the cause of Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ, avoiding self-destruction by doing good. Performing the Hajj and 'Umrah for Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ is emphasised, with provisions for those prevented from completing them. Sacrifices, fasting, and charity are prescribed in such situations, demonstrating flexibility and mercy in religious obligations. Allah's severe punishment is a reminder to fear Him greatly.

On page 29, Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ mentions the rulings related to fasting and marital relations during the night of fasting. Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ permits intimate relations with wives during the nights of fasting, emphasising the concept of mutual enjoyment and understanding.

Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ acknowledges the past shortcomings of the believers, granting forgiveness upon repentance. Believers are allowed to eat and drink until dawn, distinct from night's darkness, marking the beginning of the fast. During the period of I'tikâf (spiritual retreat in the mosque), believers are advised not to engage in sexual relations with their wives.

Furthermore, Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ limits personal and financial matters, prohibiting the unjust consumption of others' property and bribery. The verses also address inquiries about new moons, clarifying their role as markers for fixed periods, including the pilgrimage.

Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ emphasizes the importance of righteousness (Al-Birr) and fearing Him in all actions, even in entering houses through their proper doors. These guidelines are provided for mankind to attain justice and success. 

On page 28, Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ mentions the obligation of fasting for the believers. Fasting, or As-Saum, is prescribed for them as it was for those who came before them, with the aim of fostering piety.

The believers are required to observe fasting for a fixed number of days during the month of Ramadan. However, those who are ill or on a journey can make up for missed days later, and those who find fasting difficult can choose to feed a poor person for each day missed.

The month of Ramadan holds special significance as it is when the Qur'an was revealed, providing guidance and clear proof for mankind. Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ emphasises ease in fulfilling this obligation and encourages magnifying Him for His guidance.

Additionally, Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ declares His nearness and responsiveness to the supplications of His slaves, urging them to obey and believe in Him for righteous guidance.

On page 27, Allah highlights that true righteousness is not merely about facing a particular direction in prayer. Still, it involves sincere belief in Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ, the Last Day, the Angels, the Books, and the Prophets.

Genuine righteousness is demonstrated through acts such as giving wealth to family, orphans, the poor, and those in need, performing prayers, giving zakat, and upholding covenants with patience in times of adversity.

The law of equality in punishment (Al-Qisâs) is established, emphasising fairness and mercy. In the case of murder, the principle of life for life, slave for slave, and female for female is prescribed. However, forgiveness and payment of blood money are encouraged for reconciliation.

Furthermore, individuals are urged to reasonably make bequests to parents and kin reasonably, emphasising preserving the sanctity of the testator's wishes. The importance of making peace in cases of potential injustice is underscored, highlighting Allah's forgiveness and mercy.

On page 26, Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ emphasises the importance of following His guidance rather than unquestioningly adhering to ancestral practices. Those who reject divine wisdom are likened to deaf, dumb, and blind beings incapable of understanding.

Believers are urged to consume lawful provisions with gratitude while prohibited from consuming dead animals, blood, pork, and sacrifices to idols. The severe consequences of concealing Allah's revelations for worldly gain are warned against, highlighting the gravity of such actions.

The truth of the Qur'an is affirmed, contrasting it with the misguided disputations of those who oppose it.

On page 25, Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ enlightens us with profound signs in the creation of the heavens and the earth, the rhythmic cycle of night and day, the purposeful ships sailing the seas, life-restoring rain, the diverse creatures on earth, and the orchestrated dance of winds and clouds. These are clear proofs for those with understanding.

Yet, among humanity, some set up rivals to Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ, loving them as they should love Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ. Those who believe, however, love Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ even more. A stark reality awaits the wrongdoers when they witness the true might of Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ and His severe punishment.

A striking scene unfolds when leaders disown their followers, witnessing the torment together. Mutual disavowal ensues, and regretful acknowledgments reveal the futility of seeking another chance. The consequences are irreversible, and escape from the Fire is impossible.

A universal call resonates O mankind! Consume what is lawful and wholesome, avoiding the footsteps of Satan, your avowed enemy. Satan commands only evil and sin, enticing you to speak against Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ unknowingly.

On page 24, Allah reassures believers about the reality of those who are killed in the Way of Allah, emphasising that they are not dead but living, though this may not be apparent to us.

The verses also highlight that believers will be tested with challenges such as fear, hunger, and loss and encourage patience in facing adversity. Those who remain patient during calamities, acknowledging that they belong to Allah and will return to Him, are blessed and guided by Allah. 
The significance of Safa and Marwah in the pilgrimage is mentioned, emphasising Allah's recognition of voluntary good deeds. 

The verses condemn those who conceal divine guidance and curse them unless they repent and openly declare the truth. The punishment for those who die as disbelievers is severe and eternal, emphasising the oneness, grace, and mercy of Allah.

On page 23, Allah reaffirms the truth of the Prophet Muhammad's qualities mentioned in the previous scriptures, urging believers not to doubt. The verses emphasise the importance of facing the direction of Al-Masjid-Al-Haram (at Makkah) in prayers, signifying unity and obedience. 

Believers are reminded to hasten towards goodness and maintain the right direction in their worship. The guidance emphasises the completion of blessings through adherence to Allah's commands. 

The appointment of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is highlighted as a means of purification, teaching, and bringing knowledge to the believers. Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ encourages remembrance, gratitude, and seeking His help through patience and prayer. Believers are reminded that Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ is with the patient. 

On page 22, Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ explains that the change in the Qiblah (prayer direction) from Jerusalem to the Kaabah in Mecca was a test for true believers. Allah, Who owns both the East and the West, guides whom He wills. Muslims are made a just and exemplary nation, witnesses over mankind. The change in Qiblah was heavy for some, but a guidance for those Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ guided. Allah, in His kindness, ensures that faith is not lost.

The Prophet Muhammad's turning towards the heavens is noted, and Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ promises a Qiblah that pleases him, i.e., the Ka'bah. Muslims are instructed to turn their faces towards Al-Masjid-Al-Harâm (at Makkah) in prayer. The people of the Scriptures (Jews and Christians) know the truth of this change. Even if Muslims present proofs, the People of the Scriptures won't follow the new Qiblah, and vice versa. Following their desires would lead to wrongdoing.

On page 21, Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ emphasises rejecting the call to adopt Judaism or Christianity, asserting that the true path is the religion of Ibrahim, characterised by pure monotheism. Muslims believe in Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ, the scriptures revealed to various prophets, and make no distinctions among them. 

The call extends to others to believe in the same truth, but Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ suffices as the ultimate judge if they turn away. The religion of Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ is the best, and the followers are sincere in their worship. Disputes about Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ are futile, as He is the Lord of all, and everyone will be rewarded according to their deeds. The question poses: Were Ibrahim, Isma'il, Ishaq, Yaqub, and their descendants Jews or Christians? 

The answer highlights that they were Muslims, submitting to the will of Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ. Those who conceal this truth are considered unjust, and Allah is fully aware of their actions. This serves as a reminder of the fate of past nations and individual accountability for one's deeds.

On Page 20 of the Qur'an, Allah recounts the moment when Prophet Ibrahim and his son Isma'il were diligently laying the foundations of the Ka'bah. They prayed to Allah, asking Him to accept their service. The heartfelt supplication included a request for submission to Allah, the formation of a righteous nation from their descendants, guidance in pilgrimage ceremonies, and acceptance of repentance.

In this powerful prayer, they sought the sending of a Messenger, a role fulfilled with the advent of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, who would recite Allah's verses, impart knowledge, and purify the people. 

Further, the verse concludes with Prophet Ya'qub questioning his sons about their faith after his passing, to which they unwaveringly declare their submission to the One God, Allah.

This narrative serves as a reminder of the continuity of faith and the significance of submission to Allah, drawing parallels between the past and the present.

On page 19 of the Qur’an, Allah tells Prophet Muhammad ﷺ that Jews and Christians won't be pleased until he follows their religion. It emphasises that Allah's guidance is the true one. Those who believe in the given book are true believers; those who don't are losers.

Further, the children of Isra’il are reminded of Allah's favour, and a warning about Judgement Day is given. The page reflects on Prophet Ibrahim's trials and leadership role. The Kaaba's significance and Allah's command to purify it are highlighted.

Ibrahim's prayer for Mecca’s security and provisions for believers is noted. Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ warns disbelievers to be content for a while before facing the fire's torment. The page ends with a reminder of the consequences for those who reject the guidance of Allah.

On page 18 of the Qur'an, Allah addresses disputes between Jews and Christians, emphasising that He will judge them on the Day of Resurrection. Those unjustly forbidding Allah's name in His mosques will face disgrace and severe torment. Allah, owning the East and the West, is sufficient for all needs.

The false claim of Allah having offspring is rejected; everything in the heavens and the earth belongs to Him. Allah, the Creator, commands "Be!" and it exists. Those lacking knowledge question why Allah doesn't speak directly or provide a sign. The truth brought by Prophet Muhammad serves as glad tidings for believers and a warning for rejecters. The Prophet isn't answerable for the fate of the dwellers of the blazing fire.

On page 17 of the Qur'an, Allah reminds us that whenever a verse is abrogated or forgotten, He replaces it with a better or similar one. This emphasises Allah's limitless authority. The verses also assert that Allah alone holds dominion over the heavens and the earth, and there is no protector or helper besides Him.

The verse challenges those who wish to question the Messenger, comparing it to the query posed to Musa. Changing faith for disbelief leads one astray. Some of the people of the Scripture may envy and attempt to turn believers away, but forgiveness is advised until Allah's command prevails.

Further, performing prayers, giving Zakat, and sending forth good deeds are highlighted as actions rewarded by Allah. The notion that only Jews or Christians will enter Paradise is refuted; submission to Allah and virtuous conduct lead to reward without fear or grief.

On page 16, Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ recounts an incident from Prophet Sulaiman time when devils spread false teachings about magic. Sulaiman did not disbelieve, but the devils did, using angels Harut and Marut to spread magical knowledge as a trial.

The magic caused discord between spouses, but harm or benefit only occurred with Allah's permission. Those practicing magic harmed themselves and excluded themselves from the hereafter.

The verse emphasises that belief, guarding against evil, and fearing Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ bring a far better reward. Believers are advised to use respectful language with the Prophet, and Allah, in His mercy, chooses recipients of goodness according to His will.

On page 15 of the Qur'an, Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ addresses the concept of longing for the Hereafter and the behavior of different groups. Some claim a special place in the Hereafter but do not truly desire it due to their past deeds. Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ is aware of the wrongdoers.

The passage also highlights the Jews' excessive desire for a long life, wishing for a thousand years, but it won't save them from the consequences of their actions.

This page emphasizes the significance of accepting the guidance brought by the angel Jibrael, confirming previous scriptures and delivering glad tidings to believers.

It further mentions that Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ has sent clear signs and verses, but many rebels continue to disbelieve and break their covenants. When a messenger from Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ, such as Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, came to them, a party among the people of the Scripture rejected the Book of Allah as if they were unaware of its significance.

On Page 14, Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ mentions how a book (Qur’an) was sent to the Jews, confirming their previous scriptures like the Torah and the Injil. Despite their past prayers for the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, they disbelieved when he came. As a result, they incurred Allah's curse.
It's unfortunate that they rejected what Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ revealed due to jealousy about His grace. This led to their downfall, and disbelievers will face a severe punishment.

The Jews are asked to believe in the Qur'an as well, which confirms their scriptures. However, they claim to believe only in their earlier scriptures and reject the truth that came later. They are reminded of their past actions, such as worshipping a calf after Prophet Musa left and breaking their covenant with Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ. 

The page also mentions how Allah gave books and messengers to guide people, including Musa and Isa. However, when messengers came with messages, the people did not desire them; some grew arrogant, disbelieved, and even killed them. As a result, their hearts became closed to Allah's word, and they believed very little.

On page 13 of the Qur'an, Allah provides important guidance. This page reminds us of a covenant where a community (Bani Isra’il) pledged not to shed the blood of their people or drive them from their homes. However, they violated this covenant by killing one another, assisting their enemies, and even ransoming captives they were not allowed to expel.

Some of them believed in only a part of the Scripture and rejected the rest, resulting in disgrace in this world and severe punishment in the Hereafter. They traded the life of this world for the hereafter, and their torment will not be eased.

The page also mentions how Allah gave books and messengers to guide people, including Musa and Isa. By reading page 12 of the Qur'an, we emphasise the greatness of Allah’s knowledge. Some among the Jews lack knowledge of the Book and rely on false desires. Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ condemns those who alter the Book for personal gain and falsely assume a brief punishment in Hell. However, this assumption is baseless, as they cannot bind Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ with any covenant.

Believers, on the other hand, will enjoy eternal paradise for their Emaan and righteous deeds. This page also recalls Allah's covenant with the Children of Isra’il, which includes worshipping Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ alone and performing acts of kindness. Unfortunately, many deviated from this path.

The page serves as a reminder of Allah's knowledge, justice, and the consequences of one's actions, highlighting the importance of Emaan and good deeds.

On Page 11 of the Qur'an, Allah tells a story about a murder among the Children of Isra’il. They argued about it, but Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ revealed the truth in a miraculous way. He had them strike a dead man with a piece of cow, bringing him back to life to show his power. However, despite witnessing these miracles, some people's hearts remained hard as stones. 

This story teaches us about different reactions to Allah's signs and how some people change the words of the Torah knowingly. It emphasises the importance of true understanding and sincerity in our actions.

On page 10, Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ conveys valuable teachings and stories. It emphasises the importance of faith, good deeds, and adherence to guidance for believers of various backgrounds, assuring them of reward and protection.

The page also recounts the consequences of people who catch fish on Saturday by ignoring the command of Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ, and Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ transforms them into monkeys, serving as a lesson for future generations.

Additionally, it features the story of Prophet Musa instructing his people to slaughter a specific cow, highlighting the significance of obedience to Allah's commands. These verses serve as a reminder of the vital role faith, commitment, and obedience play in Allah's guidance.

On page 9, Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ recounts the story of when He instructed the people to enter Jerusalem with humility and seek His forgiveness. Those who did wrong changed His words and faced punishment. Another incident involved Prophet Musa, who was asked by his people for a variety of food, but they were met with humiliation and the Wrath of Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ for their disbelief, the killing of Prophets, and disobedience.

Page 8 narrates the story of the Children of Isra’il, suffering under Pharaoh's torment. Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ miraculously parts the sea to save them, but, during Prophet Musa's absence, they make a mistake by worshipping a calf. Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ forgives their transgressions when they repent.

Musa receives the Torah, a guide for right and wrong. Doubtful of faith, some demand to see Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ, but a lightning strike humbles them. Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ revives them to life, showing His power. The page underscores patience and faith, revealing Allah's mercy amid trials.

On page 7, Allah commands the people to follow His guidance and fulfil their obligations. Those who disbelieve and deny His signs will dwell in the fire forever. The Children of Israel are reminded of Allah's favours and are urged to believe in the revealed scriptures. They are cautioned not to mix truth with falsehood. 

The importance of prayer, charity, and righteous deeds is emphasized. The believers are reminded of the Day of Judgement, when no one can intercede or escape their deeds.

Page 6 tells us about Allah's plan to place generations of humans on Earth. Angels had concerns, but Allah's wisdom surpassed their understanding.

Allah taught Adam the names of everything and had angels name them to highlight His knowledge. He showed His knowledge of the unseen.

Then, Allah explains the story of Adam and his wife when they were placed in Paradise, except for one tree they shouldn't approach. Shaitan led them to disobey, causing their expulsion.

But Allah is merciful; He forgave Adam and taught him words of repentance.

Page 5 extends glad tidings to the believers who do good deeds. Their reward is paradise with eternal bliss, rivers, and delicious fruits. They'll have purified spouses as their companions.

The page employs parables to guide believers and confound disbelievers. Those who break their covenants with Allah and engage in wrongdoing will be the losers. It emphasises life, death, and resurrection, underscoring Allah's role in all aspects of creation.

The Qur'an speaks of the disbelievers' blindness and deafness. They are like the people who light a fire but lose their light, leaving them in darkness. They are unable to see, hear, or speak, and they wander without guidance.

Additionally, the page emphasises the creation of the Earth, the sky, and the provision of water and sustenance from Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ.

Further, Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ said that if anyone doubts the Qur'an's authenticity, they are challenged to produce something similar or call witnesses to support their claims. If they cannot, they are warned of the fire, prepared for disbelievers.

On this page, Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ addresses disbelievers and hypocrites. Despite warnings for disbelievers who refuse to believe, and Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ has sealed their hearts.

On the other side, there are hypocrites, and they are more dangerous. Hypocrites claim faith but deceive themselves and others. They create mischief while pretending to be peacemakers and mocking true believers. Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ mocks them in return, and they trade guidance for error, ending up lost.

In this episode, Shaykh Ahsan Hanif goes through Page 2 of the Qur'an; Surah Al-Baqarah. On this page, Allah states that there is no doubt in the Qur'an, and this book serves as a guide for Al-Muttaqun, the righteous individuals who fear Allah.
