Isaiah 9:6 "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." God is a Spirit. When God created man and women, He created us in His image and likeness. This means we are created as spiritual beings. We are a spirit that lives in a body. To surrender means to give up and this is mostly seen as a sign of weakness. Surrenderance usually leads to slavery. However, when you surrender in hope to God, it always leads to victory.
