Gill Dayton, also known as 'TassieApplespice,' transitioned from a 30-year career in law enforcement to full-time landscape photography as a form of therapy, finding solace in Tasmania's tranquil and breathtaking landscapes. Raised in the Huon Valley, her connection to nature was cultivated early, which she later channeled into photography. Initially self-taught, Gill's creative journey blossomed under the mentorship of a friend, allowing her to hone her skills and capture Tasmania’s raw beauty, from its wildlife to its iconic landscapes.
Struggling with severe PTSD and Disassociated Amnesia from her time as a police officer, photography became more than a hobby for Gill—it was her refuge. Tania Malkin's passion for photography began early, collecting travel postcards on family camping trips around Western Australia and receiving her first SLR camera at seven. Inspired by the Australian outback's colors and the Australian Impressionist art movement, Tania's interest in photography and art has been a significant part of her life journey. Tim Wrate's childhood passion for drawing fantastical landscapes evolved into a love for photography during a 2001 expedition to Mount Kenya. However, it wasn't until 2008, after completing his academic pursuits, that he fully embraced photography. Inspired by medium format panoramic photographers, he adopted a medium format slide film camera in 2010, dedicating himself to mastering its nuances and the discipline required for film photography.
In 2018, on a family holiday in Western Australia, a chartered flight over Hutt Lagoon revealed stunning textures and colors, igniting his fascination with the aerial perspective. This new pursuit led him to travel across Australia, capturing diverse landscapes, from cloud inversions in Kosciuszko National Park to dramatic tidal ranges in the Kimberley.
Aerial photography, though challenging, offered unique rewards. From the open windows of light aircraft and doorless helicopters, Tim navigated wind buffeting, engine vibrations, and shifting perspectives to capture powerful images. Collaborating closely with skilled pilots, he revealed the hidden beauties of the landscapes. Tim's work transcends the obvious, offering fresh insights and a harmonious blend of geography and art.
In this episode, Tim outlines his journey from childhood fascinations to his adult explorations of Australia's diverse terrains from the air.
Highlighting his transition from film to digital photography and the strategic adoption of medium format cameras for panoramic vistas, he emphasizes the importance of finding a unique photographic voice.
Additionally, we discuss the challenges and rewards of sharing art in the digital age, offering advice to aspiring aerial photographers and stressing the unending allure of discovery through the camera lens.

Lee Pengelly loaded his first roll of Fuji Velvia into his camera in the early 90's, and from that day on he got sucked into the world of photography. By 1998, and after some initial sales Lee gave up his day job and went pro. Since the late 90's Lee’s work has been regularly published in magazines, books, calendars and cards, he’s also produced bespoke imagery for businesses and advertising agencies.
In 2007 Lee started running his own photography workshops in the UK, later leading workshops for other companies in Slovakia, Norway, Iceland and Croatia.
Lee gave up professional photography in 2016. This allowed him to return to photography as a form of relaxation, something he was missing when doing it professionally. Since then he’s reignited his passion for stunning landscapes, more intimate scenes and chasing lone trees.
We discuss how he made the the decisions to both start and then stop his photography business, how he almost lost his bag on an iceberg and the vagaries of NFT sales along with lots more!

Margaret Soraya is a Scottish landscape photographer who explores the Scottish Hebrides to capture the untouched beauty of the coastline and sandy beaches. Her work celebrates solitude and questions society's favoritism towards extroversion. Through evocative images, Soraya highlights the power of peace in nurturing creativity.
Her minimalist compositions and limited color palette create a sense of calm and stillness. By using long exposures, she transforms stormy seas into tranquil impressions reminiscent of impressionist paintings. Soraya's softly spoken nature is reflected in her gentle message of encouragement and hope.
Her studies of Luskentyre beach and the Harris hills invite viewers to immerse themselves in solitude, offering a space for reflection and daydreaming. Scarista Sands, in particular, holds a special place in Soraya's heart due to its remote and peaceful nature. Her photographs capture the incredible light that illuminates this beautiful Hebridean location.
Soraya's work serves as a reminder to embrace the positive aspects of solitude in an increasingly busy and connected world, where moments of peace and self-awareness are essential for personal growth and creativity.

A full-time nature photographer and photography educator based in the United States, Alex Noriega embarked on his photography journey in 2010 while living in the Upper Midwest. Originally purchasing a camera for online sales, he quickly became captivated by the art of photography. Initially focusing on architecture and portraiture, his life took a transformative turn in 2011 during a road trip to California. Witnessing the majestic mountains and deserts of the West firsthand, previously known only through media, sparked a deep inspiration within him.
Relocating to California that same year and eventually settling in Oregon by 2012, he made the decision to dedicate himself exclusively to nature photography. Exploring the captivating landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, he gradually embarked on longer excursions to the desert Southwest, where he found his greatest inspiration. Living as a full-time nomad alongside his girlfriend from 2019 to 2023, they traveled across the American West in their travel trailer. However, their love for the desert eventually led them to establish a home base in Southwestern Utah, near Zion National Park.
With his photographs, he aims to evoke a sense of mystery and ignite the viewer's imagination. While initially gaining recognition for grand landscapes, he now finds himself drawn to more subtle and intimate scenes. Drawing inspiration from the timeless compositions of film masters, he blends the essence of classic styles with contemporary techniques to create his unique body of work.

Justin Snead is a storm chasing photographer from the US whose work is largely guided by extreme weather events. He’s been lucky enough to set up his work life balance to enable him to take time out to shoot when the storm season in the midwest of the US is at its peak.
For Justin, it started when he was driving one day in Minnesota and noticed an unusual cloud in the sky as it swirled along the rural landscape. Luckily he had his camera with him and he began clicking away.
His phone alerted him of an approaching tornado, a surge of adrenaline rushed through him, and he knew he was in the right place, doing what he was meant to do.
Since that time he’s developed a spontaneous style that ignores some of the technical niceties of photography, but that shows the power and magnificence of extreme weather.
We discuss how he stays safe in dangerous weather conditions, his balancing act of work and photography and how he’s learned to read storm structures to get the results he wants, along with lots more!

David Fairs is a photographer, filmmaker, painter, illustrator, and digital artist living and working in the Illawarra region South of Sydney. Obsessed with the ocean, documenting the beauty of nature, David believes creators hold more value than our system holds true.

This week I’ve got something a bit different. Brie Stockwell and Len Metcalf both brilliant landscape photographers in their own right, started their podcast, A Creative Affair, a little while ago after meeting during an after party for Matt Payne’s podcast, F/Stop Collaborate & Listen.
Their podcast is a collection of lively conversations, exploring creativity through the art of photography and other creative passions.
Brie is an American photographer & life coach who has been exploring her own creativity through her work in nature and landscape photography since 2019.
Brie challenged herself to exhibit 10 of her best images in 2020, in what she calls an "impossible goal". Through this challenge, Brie learned a lot about herself which has opened several doors in her life.
Len began his obsession for photography in the late sixties when his father gifted him his first camera. Growing up in Australia’s spectacular Blue Mountains provided Len with an endless array of incredible scenes to capture. He particularly loves the light and mood of misty wet landscapes, abundant in that region.
In 2000 Len opened his own gallery in Katoomba. Combining his flair for both education and photography made perfect sense and not long after, Len’s School was created. Len has become renowned as a leading photographic educator through teaching, mentoring and facilitating innovative workshops and tours.
We discuss how the pair view creativity, how their shared passion has blossomed into an online partnership, the vagaries of social media & photography along with much much more!
I hope you enjoy the show!

Glenn Walker is an Australian/Melbourne based photographer specialising in sea and landscapes.
He loves to set his alarm for 4am and drive to a location in the darkness and with anticipation, setting up just as the first light taints the horizon. With the awakening of his surroundings, Glenn creates wonderful naturalistic compositions as he observes the changing conditions.
Glenn grew up by the bay and regularly headed to the coast on weekends, so he’s always been captivated by the picturesque sea, sand, surf and Victoria’s many and varied scenic landscapes. In recent years, after a trip to Hawaii, he began viewing the sea through the lens of a camera and has been capturing images ever since.
Glenn also uses his carpentry skills to create frames, in either sustainable or solid recycled timbers, to compliment his images.
He aspires to capture the moment and movement of the ever-changing elements of nature. Guided by nature’s random tides, swell, water, wind, light, stone, timbers, foliage and all of its captivating hues.
We discuss his adventurous nature, the challenges of selling his prints at market stalls, how he creates his own frames with recycled timber along with so much more!

While Rosie loves landscape and travel photography, she’s also a very keen explorer of a lot of genres for example: architecture, surf, etc (portrait photography scares her the most though).

Paul Belli has been photographing landscapes/seascapes since 2018. Originally from Scotland he’s now well and truly settled in New Zealand and loves having the opportunity to shoot some of the most stunning scenery in the world.
His style has changed quite a bit in those 4 short years. He’s always shot long exposure photography but continues pushing boundaries with the length of exposures he’s taking, taking a deep dive into the realms of ultra long exposure photography.
His first love is taking photographs of the sea, probably in part from the love of having his feet in the ocean, to Paul it's very cathartic.
Being surrounded by natural beauty in New Zealand, Paul uses his camera as an extension of how he sees the landscape and then prints his photos with a focus on the magic he finds.
Earlier this year he won the Cityscape category in the Landscape Photography World Awards and he’s going to keep pushing the boundaries of his craft.
We talk about where his creative drive comes from, how he balances having a young family with his passion for astro-photography and what success in his photography means to him along with a lot more!

Family man Tom Ormerod lives in Bournemouth on the south coast of England. When he’s not standing knee deep in water or doing an impression of a mountain goat on the side of a cliff, he works as an IT Director and specialises in the Education sector.
He has always been around cameras and photography but found his niche in 2017. Over the years Tom has had all kinds of cameras such as a hand-me-down 35mm SLR, early digital cameras, bridge cameras and DSLRs but it was the purchase of his Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II that really sparked his interest in the landscapes around him.
He is well known across the South Coast for his enthusiasm and friendliness, always willing to stop and chat with others, encouraging the social & wellbeing side of photography as much as the creative and technical aspects.
Tom has been an active member of the Guild of Professional Photographers since 2019. He quickly achieved his Qualified status and has since been submitting his work for assessment on a regular basis. He has won Gold, Silver & Bronze awards for his work and has achieved the multiple Photographers Bar awards (for consistently high quality work over a year) in the Natural World and Open categories. In 2021 he was shortlisted for the Image of the year award (Vasco Da Gamma Bridge) and finished as the overall Runner up in the Open category.

Vicki-Louise White is a landscape photographer from Perth, Western Australia with a passion for capturing the beauty of nature.
She discovered photography in 2016 following a few years where grief and previous traumas consumed her. It started with an iPhone on a bowling green on holiday in South Australia with friends who were competing in the National Police Lawn Bowls Comp. There was the most beautiful sunset that overwhelmed her, the next day she spent 10 hours walking, discovering and shooting.
Awards include honourable mentions in the International iPhone Awards & Australian Photographer of the Year and very close to an Apple billboard.
In 2019 Vicki-Lousie switched to the Nikon Z6 and learnt photography all over again, earning features by Nikon & an image used in their 10 Years of My Nikon Life celebration.
For Vicki-Louise, photography leads into a long term plan for retirement, the plan will combine past experiences working in NFPs, marketing, photography and now NFT photography and web3 fits perfectly into this very long-term plan.
Her NFT photography has been displayed at Sydney NFT and at NFT Liverpool in 2022.

Rachael Talibart is a professional seascape and coastal photographer. Her critically acclaimed photographs of the ocean and coast have been featured in the press all over the world. Rachael is represented by galleries in Europe and the USA, her work is frequently exhibited and her limited edition prints are collected internationally. She is the author of three monographs, including Sirens and, most recently, Tides and Tempests, and she writes for photography magazines.
Rachael grew up on the south coast of England. Her first career was as a solicitor in the City of London. During the City years, Rachael’s friends and colleagues were used to seeing her return from trips with bags full of exposed film; the development sometimes cost more than the trip! In 2008, she converted to digital and she says that is when the obsession really set in. In 2000, Rachael left her City career and, after obtaining two more degrees, she now works full-time on her photography.
Much of Rachael’s early childhood was spent at sea. This has left her with a life-long fascination for the ocean in all its forms, but especially in stormy weather. Rachael travels widely for her photographs but retains a special fondness for the South of England and many of her images are created there. For Rachael, nothing beats a day on an empty shore, the wilder the weather the better, and this is reflected in her work.
Rachael owns f11 Workshops, providing location and online photography training and she leads international photography tours for Ocean Capture. An experienced teacher and lecturer, Rachael is particularly interested in the creative aspects of photography.

Originally from just outside New York City, Mike Poggioli came to see photography as a serious creative outlet when he moved to Chicago in 2015 and became enamored by the beauty of the city’s architecture. He then brought his newfound love for cityscapes with him to Cincinnati, Ohio, where he studied clinical psychology. Photography became an opportunity to cultivate mindfulness – a way to see the world with a beginnerʼs mind – in both his personal life and professional practice. It wasn’t until he began a clinical internship in Asheville, North Carolina, that he ventured into landscape photography. During his time there, Mike discovered a passion for capturing the layers of the Blue Ridge Mountains. He has since listened to the call of the mountains by deciding to settle in Asheville.

Arwin Levinson is a Las Vegas-based landscape photographer known to capture some very compelling photography that depicts nature in its most raw and ethereal form. She’s devoted her time to capturing not only perfectly timed photos of our world but also the feeling of awe you get when you experience those moments of wonder in real-time.
Arwin was born in Massachusetts and studied computer science at the University of Illinois before finding herself in Las Vegas. One day, on a road trip through the country to help her sister move to Los Angeles, Levinson found herself driving through the mountains in Colorado when she felt immediately inspired by nature and the views of the mountains. She picked up her first camera not long after, and found herself wandering around the landscapes trying to capture as much of the land surrounding the North West as she could. When she moved back to Illinois, she found herself in a city with very minimal landscape opportunities, but a work trip that took her all the way to India, where she got the chance to visit the Himalayas, would rekindle her passion for photography again.
We discuss how she came to see the landscapes around her as old friends she can revisit many times over as well as her love for capturing the unusual and astronomical events that can be seen in the brother skies along with much much more!

Sara Boychuk has been a “photographer” since she was a child. She photographed on film and was published at a young age. After school, she decided to move into the medical field following 2 degrees and when she got deep into nursing Sara was truly reminded how precious and finite life is. Taking pictures freezes a time in life that is never replicated- for that brief moment.. time stands still. She cherishes that so deeply and seeks this stillness in everything she does.
Living in Canada Sara gets to enjoy adventures in all seasons: hiking, kayaking, skiing, snorkelling, and a whole lot of general frolicking in nature.
We discuss how she made the decision to move into full time photography and where that journey has taken her along with a lot more.

Chris Wright is a photographer living on Sydney’s northern beaches, whose interests extend from natural and urban landscapes, to travel and street photography. As a university professor and senior climate change researcher, he has a strong interest in the natural environment and the sustainability of ecosystems and planetary health.
His photography journey began more than thirty years ago growing up on Sydney Harbour, using his first cameras to capture the beauty of the ocean, as well as on fishing trips to Australia’s tropical north and Papua New Guinea (many of his images featured in fishing magazines of the time).
In the 2010s he rediscovered a love of photography on overseas trips to major cities in North America, Europe and Asia. Embracing mirrorless, small format cameras, this late in life rediscovery of the joy of photography has grown into a consuming passion as his knowledge of the technical aspects of composition and processing has developed.
In recent years, the pandemic has led him to shift his attention towards local seascape and landscape compositions and explore the creative possibilities of hidden waterfalls and the beauty of beaches and headlands at sunrise and sunset. He has also sought to marry his research interest in climate change with photographic projects exploring the fossil fuel industry and its physical impacts on the landscape and society. This includes exploring ways to extend his photographic vision into artistic and abstract compositions which address the realities of the vulnerability of the natural environment and the changing landscape we are now living within.
We discuss climate change and the challenges we face with it, how Chris uses his imagery in his educational career, the way photography has helped him with mental health and his career as a climate scientist along with a whole lot more.

This week Larryn Rae joins me to talk about his stunning astro and scenic landscapes from NZ and around the world.
With a decade of world travel and photography experience, Larryn came to realise that truly remarkable landscapes are more than just photogenic geological structures. Their moods shift with the weather, their faces change in the shadows, and while they dance in daylight, they never lay dormant at night.
Larryn fell in love with the way mountains come alive under the Milky Way, the moment the sun and ocean melt together, the haunting comfort of fog banks lighting up as they envelope a city skyline and the way the stars blur as the world twirls beneath them.
It’s all lead him to what he describes as his compulsion to capture more of these fleeting moments of time in nature, and in the process, create portraits of New Zealand’s true essence.
We discuss how his compulsion has grown, his recent move to the South Island of NZ to pursue his passion and his incredible workflows both in the field and in post production and lots, lots more.

This week I'm joined by Steve Belasco talking about his unique coastscapes where he captures landscape images from the sea!
I first saw Steve’s work in a pub when I was on holiday in Dorset earlier this year. What I saw was a series of intriguing images of the coast of Dorset taken from a boat on the sea. They were unique and interesting so I spoke to the barman and luckily he had one of Steve’s business cards behind the bar.
When I got home I contacted Steve and he agreed to be my guest for this week’s episode. His career spans several decades from his days as a newspaper photographer through his paparazzi and sports photography years to freelancing and eventually to what he now loves doing; showing people the Jurassic Coast from a very different view point. Everyone has seen Durdle Door and many of the iconic locations from the land, nut few have photographed it in the way that Steve is doing.
He has published a number of books of his coast scape photography and has just published a new one which we talk about in the show.
We also touch on why he gave up newspaper photography, how he manages a camera and a boat at the same time and his work in magazine production and his association with the Jurassic Coast Trust along with a whole lot more

In this episode I’ll be talking to Alister Benn about his work and motivations along with a range of other topics I hope you’ll find interesting.
Alister Benn lives and works in a secluded Glen on the west coast of Scotland with his wife Ann Kristin. He takes pleasure in sharing his thoughts with others, through his eBooks, video series and mentorships. He is a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society, a musician and composer and writer. He is mildly obsessed with watching birds!
Photography for Alister is so much more than an end product, and he believes the more we are focussed on that, the more elusive it will become. Creativity is hard to pin down, it refuses to be placed under the microscope, and observing it changes it. Our creativity lies in creative living; one of acceptance, non-judgement and freedom of speech. Our creativity is in there, desperate to get out, and who does the best job of stopping it? Yes, you guessed it, us!

William Patino joins the podcast to talk about his photography career and what gets him going.
William grew up in the coastal town of Wollongong, NSW Australia and has been a full-time landscape photographer since 2014. He now resides in the mountainside town of Te Anau, in the South Island of New Zealand.
Photography came into William’s life around 2011 and it has helped him see the world differently, giving him a newfound appreciation for nature and the many intricacies that many overlook and perhaps take for granted. William’s work is based around a deep reverence and awe of nature and the creator, and it’s this that he tries to express through his images. His love for dramatic light and atmosphere is a constant inspiration, and he enjoys the endless pursuit of these elusive moments and the freedom found within.
Most at home in his adopted backyard of Fiordland, and its mountainous landscapes, WilliamI truly enjoys rugged coastal scenes and being amidst the infinite greens of the rainforests. Exploration and weather plays a huge role in his photography and he draws inspiration from exploring the unknown and those fleeting, spontaneous moments in nature.
We discuss his methods of teaching on his workshops and online courses, the importance of being a business person first and foremost when it comes to setting up a photography business and his sense of wonder at the world around us

In this episode I'm talking to Craig Crosthwaite about his work and motivations along with a range of other topics I hope you’ll find interesting.
After 30 years in the Advertising Industry Craig decided to follow his passion for the coast, surfing and photography.
Craig started surfing at the age of 8 and he’s still catching waves. Surfing has given him a passion for the water and an understanding of the elements, wind, waves and weather. He also loved photography, but had limited knowledge of the wonderful things you could achieve through capturing light. So, he undertook a course at RMIT in Melbourne and ignited a passion for all things photographic.
Craig has combined his love of the ocean and his sense of adventure with his newly acquired skills to create a substantial and high quality portfolio of work.
Craig Crosthwaite’s images are a stunning record of the world around us, but they are also an indication of his visual sensitivity, situational awareness, and his commitment to be at that place at that time ready to be surprised by nature. This is not a simple or easy thing, and in this being a surfer has obviously been instructive. Craig’s images show a deep understanding of nature’s ebb and flow, an ability to anticipate elemental movements and place himself at key points in time and space as all these components are drawn together. He has an artist’s eye, knowing how to position himself in the landscape to bring the light and natural elements together to create stunning images.
We discuss his passion and how his advertising and graphic design background have shaped his work along with some hair raising adventures during thunderstorms.

This week I'm talking to Adam Karnacz about his work and motivations along with a range of other topics I hope you’ll find interesting.
Venturing to remote locations, Adam strives to inspire a diverse following to explore the art of photography, adventure and the human condition. Drawing on his philosophical approach to life, Adam’s photography goes beyond technique or literal representation of a scene to tell a story that resonates and inspires.
For some years photography, whilst still an important part of his life, remained a hobby as, in 2005, Adam joined the Police, moving to London and starting his career on the beat in the Metropolitan force. It was during these eventful and challenging years that Adam developed a philosophy of life which feeds into everything he does today both as a person and a photographer.
After a number of years of budget cuts and growing disenchantment with the direction policing in Britain was taking he began to contemplate the possibility of a change of career and so in 2014,he decided to give up his role as sergeant and moved to West Yorkshire in pursuit of a more affordable lifestyle with greater and easier access to the countryside, which he felt was important both for his future plans and for his own wellbeing and that of his young family.
During the next four years, he set about building up his photography into a business that was viable enough to support his family. A large part of the early success of his business was building up his YouTube channel, First Man Photography, to the point where he was reaching tens of thousands of people every week with his videos. These videos started off as tutorials but very quickly developed into a sharing of his experiences, his love of the outdoors and landscape photography, and in fostering that love in other people.
As of March 2022 the First Man Photography YouTube Channel had almost 150k subscribers, over 250k views a month and 1.5 million minutes watched per month.
What sets Adam apart is the philosophy on life and on mental wellbeing that he weaves into much of his commentary and his work. He is a storyteller, crafting his journeys through the landscape into meaningful and fulfilling experiences which he shares with others through both his finished artworks and his films.
Above all else Adam’s passion and enthusiasm for photography is infectious and he works tirelessly to encourage a love of the landscape and nature in others. His skill set is wide and covers a broad spectrum but at the core of everything he does is the desire to tell stories, lift up those around him, take on challenges and inspire a diverse following to explore the art of photography, adventure and the human condition.
We discuss how his career and motivations have developed, his passion for seeking out the stories behind his work, the work he has done to educate himself about how the economy and energy sector works and how that relates to the current trend around NFT’s and why he won’t sell his work as NFT’s along with a lot more!

This week I'm talking to Izzy Abuleela about his stunning extra long exposures as well as some interesting experiences he’s had along the way.
Izzy likes to say that he’s just a normal guy with a passion for photography. But he’s much more than that.
He can't help but rise before sunrise and head out into the dark, camera in hand, looking to capture the landscape in the pre-dawn gloom.
He shoots exclusively with the Fuji Medium Format digital system. Specialising in the practice of long exposure, Izzy captures the often unseen beauty by the art of simplification, presenting a unique view of the world where time is expressed in physical form.
Originally from Liverpool in the UK and now living in Australia. Izzy is dedicated to exploring sharing iconic and lesser known locations around his local area and across Australia.

This time I’ll be talking to Courtney Clark or Courts Jay as she is known online, about her photography journey and how it has shaped her relationship with the world.
Courts is a West Australian based Travel & Adventure photographer who shoots landscapes, architecture & portraits. A qualified and practising Engineer and a strong advocate for Inclusion & Diversity.
Her photographic style is bold & colourful, and incorporates elements of symmetry and scale. We discuss how she has continued to develop that style over time, with a focus on bright colours and contrasting elements.
In 2017, She lost her father suddenly and a close friend 2 months later. These events made Courtney question what she values in life and completely changed her perspective on a lot of things. It made her realise how short and fragile life is, and has chosen to make the most of every opportunity she gets to travel since.
Photography to Courtney is not only a passion, but it is a way for her to keep the connection alive with her Father.
We discuss her work and how that shapes her photography, her adventures in the Italian Alps and how the pandemic has affected her relationships and provided an impetus to dive headlong into the NFT photography scene.

Kieran Stone joins the podcast to talk about his work and motivations along with a range of other topics I hope you’ll find interesting.
Kieran’s photography career started when he moved to London a while back and started to document his travels around Europe. On his return to Melbourne as a biomedical scientist, he started to get more serious about progressing his photography and spent a lot of time working on his brand and skills and promoting his work via social media.
If he could sum up his life in one word it would be “Curiosity” Ever since he was a child he has been interested in the world around him and the Universe as a whole. Wondering at the millions of years that went into creating coastline or mountains was much more appealing to him than the ever changing focus of media and entertainment.
This wonder and curiosity combined with wanderlust to see all that he could has brought with it an inevitable desire to capture the world through photography. The more places he visited, the more cultures he came to understand, drove his passion to create images that portrayed the splendour and the raw emotion it evoked.
Kieran’s photography is an expression of his thoughts and philosophies. It is a description and physical representation of his life as a passage through time and development as a Human. He endeavours to never stop learning, whether it is in photography, science, his own personality, or existence as a whole.

In this episode I'm talking to Talor Stone about her photography journey and an exciting new project she’s started.
Talor Stone is a PhD researcher and photographer based in Pensacola, Florida. After serving as a federal agent for the United States military, Talor broke from the traditional career path to pursue photography.
As an Arctic specialist, Talor has spent a significant amount of time exploring the northern region. Her summers in Greenland have inspired numerous academic research projects on topics like globalization and indigenous identity, mass tourism and peripheral communities, and climate-induced human migration among Inuit populations. These themes are echoed in her photographic pursuits which focus heavily on Arctic landscapes and other climate change-inspired projects that allow her to visually explore the real-life aspects of her academic subjects.
To further this mission, in 2022-2023 Talor is partnering with filmmaker Ashlei Payne to produce a documentary about the modern changes of hunting culture in northern Greenland based on more than 4 years of academic research.
Talor’s work is about more than photography. Her images merge science and art to highlight themes of transition and fragility and to emotionally connect viewers to places few will ever visit. Her hope is to raise awareness that climate-threatened landscapes are more than data points, charts, and statistics – they’re living places that deserve to be protected in their own right.
In her role as an educator, Talor considers it a priority to enhance awareness and appreciation of the natural world through speaking engagements and hands-on education. Her photography workshops focus on introducing others to these magical and remote places and creating a deeper understanding of the environment while also learning new technical skills. Talor is proud to be a Pro with Muench Workshops who offer incredible and immersive photography experiences worldwide.

This episode I’m speaking with Julian Lallo about his work, NFT’s and a range of other topics I hope you’ll find interesting.
When first picking up the camera in 2015 photography was for Julian nothing more than a hobby - an excuse to hang out with friends and take photos of their sneakers. But it very quickly progressed to something much more than that. It became an obsession; an obsession which led Julian to experiment with all genres of the craft. From street photography and landscapes to portraiture and food.
Through the power of social media his work was soon recognised by both brands and the photography community alike. Gaining work with recognised brands, in international tourism and an ambassador for Canon Australia.
As his interests have shifted, so too has Julian’s main focus and passion in photography; a shift towards fashion photography. A direction that is off to a great start, having involved campaigns both locally and internationally, with clients such as New Balance, Nana Judy, Intimo, Seafolly and George & King
However, through the ever evolving journey of his career as a photographer one thing has remained the same… It still doesn’t feel like work!
