Moon to Moon is a podcast created by intuitive guide, Britten LaRue. Moon to Moon is a space to consider, celebrate, and share the ways we come home to ourselves, anchor through change, and uncover our power — one month, one phase, one loving step at a time. Though the podcast focuses on healing and learning through the lens of Britten’s primary interests in astrology, visual culture, tarot, energy healing, meditation, and intuition, the podcast welcomes all modalities and forms of experience that help us de-program from unhelpful conditioning and remember who we are.
The podcast Moon to Moon is created by Britten LaRue. The podcast and the artwork on this page are embedded on this page using the public podcast feed (RSS).
In this episode, I share how and why I decided to quit the traditional templates for professional astrologers: one-on-one readings, forecasts, and university-style teaching.
The ultimate message is to relentlessly validate and unshame what you feel to be true and want to talk about in your professional field.
Let me know your thoughts. Would love to hear what came up for you with this one.

If there's anything that I've learned about the birth chart over my years as an astrologer and a teacher of astrology, it's that the birth chart is a confrontation. That is, the birth chart is very confrontational. This isn't something that I see lots of people talking about, but I think it's crucial to name for anyone who's curious about getting closer to their charts and going deeper with astrology.
In this episode, I share the core fears that I see come up for beginners, students, and even professional astrologers as they relate to their chart. It's my desire that in naming what we fear we can alchemize what is vulnerable about the chart into something that feels more exciting, more loving, and more expansive.

Welcome to the 12th of 12 episodes where I unshame the houses of the chart with a different guest astrologer for each episode.
WE DID IT! THE FINAL HOUSE!
My guest is the wonderful Danny Larkin. At this beginning of this project, I let Danny pick the house he wanted to unshame and he chose to go last. Lucky me! As a 12th House Sun-Mercury-Venus, I feel a deep affinity with this house. I felt I was learning and healing as we spoke.
To the ancients, the 12th House was called Bad Spirit.
Here we’re discussing how shame can show up in the department of life we call the 12th House, which includes:
- childbirth and labor
- pain and suffering
- behind the scenes of the rest of life
- isolation
- enemies
- karma, past lives
- psychic connections
- spiritual transcendence
- seeking grace, peace
- collective unconscious, altered states, downloads
- self-undoing, inner demons, shadow
I’m so grateful to Danny for going there with me.
Enjoy!
Danny Larkin is the Vice President of the International Association of Astral Magic (IAAM). He previously served as Vice President and then President of the Association for Young Astrologers (AYA) (2017-2020). He is a lifetime member of the International Society for Astrological Research (ISAR) as well as the National Council for Geocosmic Research (NCGR). Danny is a pillar of the astrology community in New York City. He has studied modern astrology with Annabel Gat and John Marchesella. He serves as a fellow of the New York NCGR chapter and teaches classes as part of its faculty. He organizes the largest monthly gathering of Astrologers in New York - the Big Apple Astrology Meetup at the New York Theosophical Society, which he inherited from the late Kirk Kahn. Danny is certified at the first level by NCGR-PAA. He is fully certified by ISAR, passing the ISAR competency exam after a series of workshops organized by Anne Ortelee. Danny is currently working to complete a certificate in Hellenistic Astrology from Demetra George, as well as the certificate in Modern Astrology from the Faculty of Astrological Studies.

Here at the end of this lunar cycle, I bring you another Dark Moon Download.
What came through for us is the phrase: “all that we’re not bringing with us.” There’s a lot of juice here, but we’re especially being invited to notice and validate the fucks that we are no longer giving.
I share one of my personal favorites from over the years of being a mystic: leaving behind the fuck that I’m supposed to agree with someone telling me what is or is not possible in this world. That in order to appear responsible, I am supposed to quit my imagination function.
I hope you enjoy this one! Remember that you don’t have to listen at the “dark moon.” That’s just when these downloads want to come through for me to share. You definitely do not have to listen during any particular lunar cycle.
Whenever you are called to listen is exactly the perfect time to.

Welcome to the 11th of 12 episodes where I unshame the houses of the chart with a different guest astrologer for each episode.
My guest is the heretical genius Kelsey Rose Tortorice. Our conversation was an incredibly shifting and illuminating.
To the ancients, the 11th House was called Good Spirit.
Here we’re discussing how shame can show up in the department of life we call the 11th House, which includes:
- How we constellate humans together around shared hopes and dreams
- Friends, acquaintances, associates, colleagues
- Friend groups, social networks, allies, community
- Benefactors, patrons, advancement through friends
- Prosperity and fortune, attainment of dreams
- Group identity, organizations, clubs, teams
I’m so grateful to Kelsey for going there with me.
Enjoy!
Kelsey is a post-capitalist astrologer, teacher, human design experiMentor, and community initiator. They are a student and teacher of the maia; seeking to understand and universalize the mechanics of reality within the context of individuality, cosmos, and consciousness as a whole. Their work facilitates upheaval; disrupting homogenized programming and re-orienting people to their differentiated truth and inherent wholeness.

I’m excited to share this unique look at Sagittarius season through the lenses of astrology, Human Design, and multiple other modalities. Enjoy!
My guest is Alison Marie Dale, who I met inside Heretic Haven. Heretic Haven is an exploration of the 5th Line experience, hosted by Kelsey Rose Tortorice and Allyson Forseth. Alison is a 5/1 profile and I am a 3/5, which is how we both ended up in the same space.
I got to really be a student in this episode. Alison activated my HUGE INNER NERD, which is one of my most favorite parts of self. I had my notebook and pen out, writing down things she shared that I want to keep savoring. You might want to do the same as you listen!
If you’re new to Human Design, and discovering this wisdom modality for the first time, then… you’re welcome! It’s a rabbit hole. BEWARE! Like astrology, I recommend a slow and patient pathway, letting the wisdom roll in however it most resonates and going deeper as the desire emerges. This world is a lifelong study so there’s no rush.
To pull up your HD body graph, you will need your birth time just like in astrology. You can see yours for free here.
You can learn more about the 5th Line experience from my interview with Kelsey from last spring. This is one of my most downloaded episodes of 2024.
My HD teachers are the wonderful collaborators Amy Lee and John Cole of the Human Design Collective. Both are tremendously skilled teachers and readers. I will sing their praises until my dying days.
Click here to learn about the Gene Keys.
Alison Marie Dale is an artist, ecological astrologer, human design guide and somatic facilitator based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She is also the host of the weekly forecast podcast Cycles of Time.
Alison is passionate about helping people realize the potential for presence, creativity and abundance in their lives in times of personal and global transformation. Her current projects combine somatic practices (breathwork, voicework & nervous system regulation), divination practices (astrology, human design & the i’ching) and expressive arts. Her mission is to create spaces where individuals can connect with the wisdom of their bodies, exercise their creative muscles, and find deep belonging within the larger universe.

Welcome to the 10th of 12 episodes where I unshame the houses of the chart with a different guest astrologer for each episode.
My guest is the great Diana Rose Harper! Diana is one of the most insightful and critically interesting voices in the entire astrological community. Her work is cherished by all those who long for a more compassionate approach to this wisdom tradition.
To the ancients, the 10th House was called The Midheaven.
Here we’re discussing how shame can show up in the department of life we call the 10th House, which includes:
- your public-facing, most visible self
- what you’re known for
- your reputation, standing, status
- your career or vocation
- your gestating parent (or the caregiver who most shaped your public self) and the strivings of their lineage
- what you contribute to the world and the energetics of that contribution
- ambition and achievement
- mastery of skills
No small thing! I’m so grateful to Diana for going there with me!
Enjoy!
Diana Rose Harper is a relational astrologer currently living on the West Coast of the so-called United States. Her practice aims at helping humans to better occupy our spiritual & ecological niches with the assistance of astrology's ability to render more legible who we are and how we can relate with incarnate experience. As an animist striving to embody a devotional, love-centered ethos, Diana's practices support re-enchantment and re-integration with the wider field of being. She is a repeat presenter at the Northwest Astrology Conference, a repeat guest on The Astrology Podcast, and hosts monthly live chats via her Patreon.

Welcome to the 7th of 12 episodes where I unshame the houses of the chart with a different guest astrologer for each episode.
My guest is Colin Bedell aka QueerCosmos! I am so honored and excited that Colin said Yes to this because he’s my favorite astrologer talking about relationships.
To the ancients, the 7th House was called The House of Setting, because it represents the western horizon at the moment of birth.
Here we’re discussing how shame can show up in the department of life we call the 7th House, which includes:
- one-on-one legal contracts like marriage, business partners, therapist-patient
- one-on-one energetic contracts (who’s agreeing to what in this relationship)
- enemies
- significant others
- psychological projections
- buyers in a purchase or the other party in a negotiation
- how we understand ourselves in counterpoint to another person’s perspective
Colin Bedell is a bestselling author, speaker, and media expert on astrology and relationships. As the cofounder of QueerCosmos (a comparative Astrological resource for LGBTQIA+ folks), Colin is committed to updating ideas on identity, relationships, and spirituality that are inclusive to a wider range of racial, sexual, and gender diversity. Which is why Well & Good Magazine listed Colin as one of the most influential people in the wellness industry and as a 2020 Innovator.
Complementing his work with QueerCosmos, Colin writes weekly horoscopes for Cosmopolitan.com. Colin’s been featured on Good Morning America, New York Magazine, MTV, and TLC’s show Stargazing, and Colin is a season regular Astrologer on “Written In The Stars,” which premiered November 2022 on Discovery Plus.
Additionally, Colin is working towards certification by The Relational Life Therapy Institute to become a Couple’s Coach where he can integrate astrological approaches with leading theories, models, methods, and skills for healthy relationships. Follow Colin on Instagram.

Your frustrations have intelligence. Your irritations are trying to tell you about what you want and what you don’t fucking want anymore.
We shame ourselves for being irritated like we’re supposed to be "above” or “beyond” the truth of the body’s information.
Where there is frustration, there’s a desire underneath that’s being shamed.
Doors to Cave Space are now OPEN!
We begin October 22 through Scorpio season.

Welcome to the sixth of 12 episodes where I unshame the houses of the chart with a different guest astrologer for each episode.
My guest is Erin Kelley. A long-time member of my Magicians Table community, Erin is one of the most wise and knowledgable astrologers I’ve ever encountered! You can hear Erin and I discuss the 8th House in one of Moon to Moon’s most downloaded episodes here.
To the ancients, the 6th House was called The House of Bad Fortune. Oh dear! We’re already in shame language. Erin and I face the “bad house” reputation head on in our rich conversation.
The 6th House includes topics such as:
- Disease and illness
- Holistic health, wellness, nourishment
- Troubles, bad luck, shit to deal with
- Service and servitude
- Labor and worker’s rights
- Pets
- Taking care of your body
- Accidents and injuries
- Enemies & insurrections
Erin Kelley (she/her) is a writer, devotional astrologer, and esoteric strategist with a feral heart. Her intuitive gift of right timing is the essence behind her work, affectionately called Slow Magick.
Erin believes desire is holy, change happens when it is time, and Eros is the driving impulse connecting this moment to the next. With an 8th house stellium, Erin is known for helping others find and effectively utilize their resources. She especially loves using astrology and rituals to assist cycle breakers in building new beliefs, experiencing more satisfaction, and creating space to thrive.
Before leaping into her second act, Erin spent more than a decade creating award-winning go-to-market strategies for some of the world’s biggest names. She now uses her intuitive and results-oriented analytical skills to develop practical and effective recommendations for working with the subtle realm in everyday life.
You can find Erin at slowmagick.com, @slow.magick on Instagram, and The Nature of Invisible Things on Substack.

Welcome to the fourth of 12 episodes where I unshame the houses of the chart with a different guest astrologer for each episode.
My guest is Rebecca Padgett, who started as my student and is now someone I book readings with!
To the ancients, the 4th House was called The Subterranean Place. Here we’re discussing how shame can show up in the department of life we call the 4th House, which includes:
As you can imagine, there is quite a lot of here for excavation. It's bottomless! Just begin wherever you are.
Rebecca Padgett is an artist and mystic, who lives in rural Ontario, Canada. Rebecca’s passion is to help guide people to develop their own intuitive and psychic abilities. She uses a range of tools, from astrology, tarot, and energy work, to psychism and mediumship, working with spirit guides and her intuition to support clients on their path through life’s changes and challenges. She is also intensely interested in exploring the area where intuition and creativity meet, be it through intuitive abstract painting or her current work exploring ancestors through found objects and collage. Rebecca enjoys working with the cycles of the seasons, animals, and the night sky, and living in the wide-open, rural landscape, which quiets and expands her mind, allowing her work to grow and change in harmony with the cyclical nature of the world around her.

What the energetic consequences of straining to get someone to understand you?
If someone wants to understand you, they will.
If someone doesn't want to understand you, they won't.
Letting go of the struggle to be understood is an act of love. For yourself and for others.
We can only understand someone else's point of view if we currently have the capacity to tolerate another viewpoint.
Since we do not have control over another's capacity, we cannot control or manage how they understand us.
Woof. This one felt huge.
ENJOY!

Witches for Hope has grown to nearly 40K followers in Instagram, with a genuinely loving and loyal community of big-hearted, radical witches. Ashley and I go way back, which we share about in the conversation.
Some questions I had for Ashley:

- What does WFH mean to you today?
- What is it like being the steward for WFH?
- What is a Role in the Revolution Reading?
- What is it like supporting folks with these readings in an election year?
- What do you want everyone to know about the possibility of having a role in the revolution?
- How does inner child healing and reparenting support us in serving the collective and caring for ourselves in an election year?
Listen to me and Ashley back in 2021 in Episode 31: "Self-Trust as the Foundation for Creativity & Community-Building."
Ashley Estabrook is the creator of Witches For Hope, an Instagram account turned creative space for dreaming up a new tomorrow. Ashley's writing infuses her passions in a unique way, bringing together the parts of herself that weren't allowed to be connected in the past. Her work focuses on using magical tools, including tarot, astrology, and journaling, to shift perspectives around reparenting, inner child work, and our roles in the revolution. What started in January 2020 as a way to connect progressive witches on Instagram has grown into a magical world where you can find anything from tarot readings, to mutual aid fundraising, to ritual oils, and more. Witches For Hope is a space for alchemizing inspiration for our future, by processing our past and finding ways to feel magical and creative in our present.

In the episode, I welcome back my channeling mentor Mary Grisey.
Mary came on earlier this year in an episode called "Remembering Your Gifts," which is one of M2M's most downloaded for 2024.
Mary is a wondrously wise and expansive being and I always get very excited to hang out with her.
Mary Grisey is a psychic medium, multidimensional channeler and visual artist based in Los Angeles, California. She has been connected to the unseen world ever since she can remember and works closely with her Spirit Guides. Mary is passionate about connecting her clients to their truest selves, spirit team and loved ones who have crossed over to the Spirit world. She also loves helping other intuitives find their voice in this world whether that be through a 1:1 session or mentorship.

Welcome to the second of 12 episodes where I unshame the houses of the chart with a different guest astrologer for each episode.
My guest is Sabrina Monarch, who M2M listeners will remember for our potent conversation on Pluto and the Notes from Episode 120.
Here we’re discussing how shame can show up in the department of life we call the 2nd House, which includes:
NO BIG DEAL! OOF!
Sabrina Monarch is an evolutionary astrologer, counselor/coach and author/novelist. She gained an unconventional education in creative writing by discovering an online writing community at age 12 and gaining dozens of mentors across the globe who would help her learn how to write for the next several years. She developed an interest in astrology at a young age as well, and took her craft deeper in her early twenties at the same time that her psychic abilities were noticeably coming online. She produces video forecasts on YouTube (written version available to her mailing list) and is the host of a podcast about spiritual lifestyle and personal evolution called Magic of the Spheres. She teaches astrology online, including an all-levels Evolutionary Astrology Intensive and advanced alumni courses. Sabrina is widely appreciated for her poetic voice and capacity to name subtle, abstract undercurrents of any particular astrological moment. She has an M.A. in Philosophy, Cosmology and Consciousness from the California Institute of Integral Studies and currently resides on the magical island of Crete. You can follow Sabrina on Instagram as well.
I am so proud to share this conversation with you. Enjoy!

My guest this episode is the wondrous Maria Minnis, whose Instagram feed is one of my favorite's. I invited Maria to come talk about her new book Tarot for the Hard Work and then it became so much more than that.
Maria Minnis is an unapologetically Black, Jewish, and queer tarot reader of 20+ years who teaches people about blending their spirituality with magic, liberation work, and eroticism in their everyday lives. She believes that the end result of all magic should be to cultivate a more equitable and empathetic planet. Her highly acclaimed antiracism tarot workbook Tarot for the Hard Work is available online and in stores.

We all know and carry unique frequencies of hypervigilance - bracing for problems and the scanning for threats in the environment and relationship.
My very dear friend Natasha Levinger is also my teacher and energy healer, and she returns to M2M for her FIFTH time to talk about the nuances of hypervigilance. How to notice when we’re in it and identify when we’re likely identifying with the part of us that’s afraid.
This is some powerful material.
Natasha Levinger is a therapeutic intuitive, energy healer, and author of the book, Healing Your Inner Child: Reparenting Yourself for a More Secure and Loving Life. She spends much of her time deep diving into all aspects of spiritual and emotional healing in the searchto uncover patterns that stop us from being all that we are. Sharing those discoveries with others to help them feel free and fulfilled is her passion and life’s work.
Natasha is contributing 3 BONUS meditations and responding to Qs in a BONUS Q&A in my fall course Moon to Moon. I am so honored and excited to share her genius and her wisdom with participants this fall.
EARLY BIRD IS $100 OFF THROUGH MONDAY, AUGUST 19!

I am so proud to be initiating this new series - UNSHAMING THE HOUSES - with my friend Jeff Hinshaw. Let's dive in!
To learn more about this project, and more about my work on shame, tune in to the episode right before this one: "Grief is the New Shame."
I forgot to mention in the intro that we had had an internet glitch right at the beginning, but I didn't edit it out because it's cute and human.
Jeff Hinshaw, the founder of “Cosmic Cousins,” has made several contributions to the world of astrology. A vocal advocate for promoting inclusivity and diversity in the astrology community, he uses his platform to highlight the work of other LGBTQ+ individuals from diverse backgrounds. In addition, through his podcast, Substack, newsletter, and social media, he shares his knowledge of astrology, making it accessible to a wider audience. At the intersection of astrology and spirituality, Hinshaw explores the ways in which astrology can be used as a tool for spiritual growth and connections between astrology and practices such as meditation, yoga, and tarot. Emphasizing the importance of building community, Hinshaw is passionate about creating space to connect using the language of astrology.

I HAVE A BIG ANNOUNCEMENT INSIDE! I can't wait to share.
The title of this episode came through as I was sharing how it's my feeling that underneath the shame we carry is grief.
The grief of the younger self that the world didn't appear to be a place to hold the generosity of nuance, of complexity, of paradox. A place of compassionate listening and curiosity. Grief that we have to be either good or bad. Grief that can't just be our whole selves.
It's my hypothesis that it was easier to submit to the logic of the shame police than it was to hold the grief about the world.
In this episode, I give updates on my passion project to bring the medicine magic of unshaming to the astrological community.
Upcoming Live Events:
If you're in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, please join me Saturday, Aug 3, at one or both of the following workshops:

I didn't know I have chicken feet until my mystical life began. I didn't know I have a big dick. I have fangs and fur and talons. I lay eggs and I tear flesh. I see in the dark, and I caw out my mouth.

Underdog to Diva is a new framework I'm unfurling. Ostensibly, it's about about navigating success, fame, and wealth. And yet all 3 of these are completely relative terms. So, it's really about much more than this.
Underdog to Diva is actually about building a deep connection to your divinity, which looks and feels like deepening into your inherent self-worth, self-love, self-trust, and self-esteem.
In this practice, which is a daily, emergent devotion, you fortify yourself for navigating the confusion, the pain, and the weirdness of what I'm calling "the marketplace reality," which is not the same reality as the truth of your divinity.
To discover if this framework is calling you, have a listen!
Underdog to Diva will have 3 parts in its current iteration:
Part 1: this podcast episode, which introduces you to the intellectual and energetic scaffolding of the concept
Part 2: an upcoming episode on the podcast Healing the Spirit, hosted by Jonathan Koe, which will deepen the exploration of the archetypes we're engaging with here, and study how these show up in relational contracts
Part 3: the paid offering, which includes a 3-hour live transmission on May 9 (3-5 pm CST / 4-7 pm EST) which will be recorded and shared after, a pre-recorded meditation, and a PDF full of self-inquiry prompts, spreads, and exercises for navigating the themes of this framework
Doors open May 1! To get the link to enroll by following me on IG or joining my mailing list.

Sabrina is has always impressed me as someone who owns and embodies her mysticism and her relationship to astrology in ways that are both emergent and grounded. As I say in the intro, if you hang around Sabrina's field you will absolutely deepen your understanding of astrology. The individuals I know who have studied astrology with Sabrina are some of my favorite astrologers.
In this episode, we focus on the basics of Evolutionary Astrology: the Nodes & Pluto. Sabrina pulled both of our charts up to discuss how the nodes and Pluto function independently as well as in relationship to planets square the nodes in each of our charts. Chart lovers, this one's for you!

In this episode, I share all about my relationship to Promo Magic. I LOVE PROMO! And I am often told I help you to reimagine what a relationship to promo can be like.
In the episode we discuss my process, which you're encouraged as always to amend to your taste and affinity...
- how I write promo to my younger self
- how I do not withhold material ever and let all the goodies spill out everywhere because I trust I am a fountain and there's always so much more to share inside the containers I promote
- how I trust that all timing is perfect and I don't get to decide everything about my promos
- how I see my offerings as beings outside myself who come to me to be a steward and help them find the humans who are meant for them... my job is to build the pathway for them
- how my offerings love that I am reckless in the face of danger for them, how I am willing to be judged and misunderstood for them
- promo is always erotic, always
- every promo has its own frequency, even containers I have held before
- every promo brings me on the next most loving healing journey for myself
- promo is an investment for me too
- anytime I do anything it might be the last... my offerings like that I am emergent, always... it's how I love them
- my attitude for all investments: I cannot fuck up what my heart wants to invest in, and I always get exactly what I came for and more
- we cannot possibly know all the reasons why we're drawn to things because it's a mystery that only our soul knows
- promo is the same for all price points, including free things
- updates from the promo field right now
EARLY BIRD IS ENDING FOR THE MAGICIAN'S TABLE THIS SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 25!!!!

Sometimes people go to astrologers because they want astrology. They don't care who the person is who is reading for them. That's beautiful. AND I have found it to be true that the real medicine that is coming through is not the modality itself, but rather the unique way it moves through the human being channeling it.
It's not about "expertise." It's about presence. And emergence.
In this way, whatever you call yourself, whatever particular set of modalities you tap into with reverence, whatever it is you're offering - what's really happening is the love that rolls through you in your sincere connection to your channel that you share with another being. This is so beautiful, and such an unlearning.
MY MODALITY IS ME is a conversation about this. The conversation begins around 37 minutes.
In the intro, I discuss some of the qualities of the astrological energy field right now, namely what's showing up as Mars and now Venus have been conspiring with Pluto, newly in Aquarius.
My main topic of exploration is projection, and how projection will implode our relationships from the inside when we refuse to be with them or shame ourselves or someone else for having them.
Let me introduce you to my guests in the order they speak in the episode:
Lisa Quigley is a visionary writer, quantum hypnotist, psychic channeler, and intergalactic witch. She's a heretical mystic who practices Glitch Witchery, and she is here to support all the other Glitch Witches across the globe who are ready to remember who they are and claim their “glitches” as their most intentional, magnetic power.
Alex (he/they) is a psychic energy reader and healer, medical intuitive, and registered nurse living in Brooklyn, NY. His work is centered around optimizing your wellbeing, reconnecting with your sense of self, and helping you reclaim your space and body. He applies a critical lens to wellness, healthcare, and healing, and believes that healing doesn't have to happen in isolation.
Carly is a galactic nature mystic with a deep love of all things musical, artful and paradoxical and likes to nerd out on neuroscience. Carly worked as a teacher and taught music for young children prior to becoming a parent to two amazing kids. Following yoga therapy training she became certified as a Mindfulness Meditation teacher and is presently completely enamored with her studies of the Human Design framework. Carly is currently working with children, offering mindfulness support through emotional regulation techniques and somatic practices.
Nicole France-Coe (one of the 13th Readers this year) is a devotee to Great Mystery in all Its beauty, pleasure, liminality and dismantling power. I am more at home in the Cracks than the binary and the static. Having been woven together as a queer mixed race mycelial thinker has provided me the blood, bone, root and celestial blueprint for learning how to dance with and at the Cross Roads; a location of fecund possibility, peculiar synergies and emergent orientation. I delight in embodying the archetypal energy of Trickster and color with this energy in my everyday life as a mother, partner, mystic, artist and dreamer. I am both soccer mom and seer and I love being both.
Stacia Montenegro. Audaciously Grounded. Sunrise Capricorn. Scorpio Moon. Comfortably at Home in the Deep Emotional Waters of Truth Seeking. Devotee of the HoneyBee, Dragon, Serpent, Venus and Piglet.
Thank you all so much. This was profound.

At every level of my being, I am so excited to share this conversation with the wonderful and marvelously gifted Mary Grisey. Mary is a psychic medium, multidimensional channeler and visual artist based in Los Angeles, California.
I am Mary's former student, client, and soon-to-be mentee as I bravely go deeper in understanding my gifts as a multidimensional channeler.
In our conversation, Mary shared her story of becoming the woman who widely shares her gifts in the world.
We talk about the anxieties of being an evidential medium, and how being a medium is a healing practice in itself as it helps you release your human desire to always be right.
We talk about consciousness and the soul, and how it continues to live beyond our human lifetime. We talk about the spirit realm and non-human intelligence.
We talk about remembering versus learning our gifts.
Mary shares an incredible story of how the spirit of her mother showed her what it was like after she passed on.
I especially loved our discussion of grief, and how grief provides the alchemy to open us into our gifts.
What an incredible conversation! Thank you, Mary. You are a gift.
Mary Grisey has been connected to the unseen world ever since she can remember and works closely with her Spirit Guides. Mary is passionate about connecting her clients to their truest selves, spirit team and loved ones who have crossed over to the Spirit world. She also loves helping other intuitives find their voice in this world whether that be through a 1:1 session or mentorship.
Visit Mary's website The Woven Channel to learn about her upcoming offerings and get on her waiting list for a 1:1 session. Follow Mary on IG at @marygrisey.
In this episode, we mention our shared friend Rebecca Padgett, who connected us.

This episode has two parts.
In the first 36 minutes, I explore the dialectical relationships between order & play, structure & freedom, self-guidance & community. Inspired by Lily Troia's dazzling image of The Magician's Table is a "sacred sandbox," I riff on how I landed into a channeled pedagogical style inspired by Montessori teachings and the 8 of Pentacles.
The second half of the episode features an effervescent and playful conversation with TMT alums Erin Kelley & Lily Troia aka Lily of the Valley. Erin and Lily have both been in TMT twice.
Not only do they know each other because they were in the same cohort one year, but - as we discuss - TMT has a way of exponentially growing who you know in the world of magic, mysticism, healing, and the intuitive arts.
TMT alums support each other. They become clients, mentors, colleagues, references, collaborators, and cherished friends. It just happens! I don't do anything to promote it or force it. The dynamic runs on its own intelligence.
Erin Kelley (she/her) is a writer, ceremonial astrologer, and mystic with a feral heart. With an 8th house stellium, Erin is known for helping others find and effectively utilize their resources. She especially loves using astrology and ritual to assist cycle breakers to build new beliefs, experience more satisfaction, and create space to thrive. When not ensconced in enthusiastic communion with the more-than-human world, you can find her on the internet at slowmagick.com and on Instagram @slow.magick, and follow her writing at The Nature of Invisible Things on Substack.
Lily of the Valley (she/they) is a planetary dancer and astral companion living on unceded land of the Miwok Nation in the East Bay of Northern California. They are a mystic, writer, musician, and an all-around rabble-rouser whose intuitive offerings alchemize astrology, tarot/oracle divination, guided meditation, sound healing, energy work, and whatever other modalities want to come forth from their magic bag of trickster elixirs. You can find Lily swimming among the paradoxes, murmurating in the liminal. They want nothing more than for everyone to add their authentic voice to the collective song of liberation. The truth of this has been coming in from every direction this last month as we move through these signs of Saturn.
I have found it to be true that most of my community is full of humans craving more trust in expressing their malefic medicine.
In this episode, I talk first about what I mean by this title. Then we explore the ways we have been conditioned to mistrust malefic expression.
The bottom line: we are here to be as specific as possible in who we are, and it's not possible to do this without the support of the malefics.
I hope you enjoy this episode! I would love to receive your review and rating if you appreciate M2M.
APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2024 MAGICIAN'S TABLE ARE COMING IN! Explore the course page, read testimonials from dozens of alums, and check out the application. The Early Bird deadline is February 18 so it's time to start getting serious.
TMT is a malefic container on purpose: so that its massive magic and sensational alchemy can come through to those it's meant for. It's LIMITED (that's a malefic term) to 12 humans per cohort. It's a very intimate, high touch, profoundly connecting space. You will not be able to hide. You will not be able to check out. This is part of its medicine.
TMT is malefic because it's a major investment of your resources. It will feel scary and uncomfortable to invest so much in yourself, and your inner children will roar with resistance via fear, doubt, and scarcity.
Please email my team at [email protected] if you have questions or want to talk it through.

It's not only possible. It's inevitable. It's what we're here to do. But sometimes it can feel so hard to trust in possibilities. Sometimes it can feel like we'll always be struggling with the thing we're struggling with today.
What I've learned as a transformational coach and mentor is that transformation is gooey, messy, contracting, and scary... for reasons that are intelligent and beautiful.
In this episode, I talk about transformation a bit in the intro, sharing some wisdom I've learned about it for myself and from holding space for others in one-on-one and group containers. Then I share a conversation on transformation with four Magicians from The Magician's Table 2023.
Welcoming here:
Samar Jade tarot reader, shadow holder, @ensoulment.doula
Nicole Marxen witch, intuitive, and artist @nightshadereadings
Shea Messinger artist, tarot reader, and podcast host

The first is pretty spicy: "Am I in danger of being culty?" I don't mean an actual cult leader of a high control group. I mean a cult of personality who gets pedestalized and has a lot of power in their circles. Lots of these people exist. We all know them. As someone totally new to "having a community," I have grappled with not wanting to be cringy or creepy or gross or toxic... while still unshaming the enjoyment in having impact so that it's not a weird desire that hides from me. I thoughts on this, and I find them meaningful.
Second question: "What if I am full of shit?" lol this is a series question.
Third: What would it be like to not fragment parts of who I am in different space? How can I be all that I am all the time?"
Fourth and final: "How would I invest in myself if I fully saw the power of the offerings?"
Throughout I offer different variations on the questions to support you in making them your own. Please take what resonates and leave the rest, as always.
Let me know how these landed for you. Enjoy!
I'd love for you to leave a review if you haven't yet! Thank you to everyone who has already gifted one to the show.

It's been 100 episodes since "Fear is Not the Frequency" came out on March 15, 2020. The whole experience reflects a practice I call "Here I Am," which I started doing for myself to soften my trauma responses on "keeping it all together."
In times of heightened grief, rage, and paradigm shifts, the "Here I Am" feels incredibly supportive, even radical.
This is a yummy one, I can tell. Enjoy!

Jonathan Koe is a beloved and welcome guest at Moon to Moon. Not only is Jonathan M2M's most featured guest, they created the podcast music! Many of you already know Jonathan as my teaching collaborator. Perhaps you found me through them! From January 2021 until just recently, we have worked on back to back projects together.
When Jonathan announced their first offering as a solo space holder, I could feel the potency of their connection to this offering in my bones, and I wanted to get a taste of it here with you on M2M. The topic is Mars, and Mars always creates a spicy space of honesty. I'm here for it! THIS IS A DIRECTNESS PRACTICE! (See ep 76.) THE ENERGY'S GOT TO GO SOMEWHERE! (See ep. 10.)
If you listen to M2M regularly you know I'm obsessed with promo as a magical time, a window of web weaving and deep listening and inspiration. This conversation is not only a portal to Mars wisdom, it's also a picture of what it's like to be a mystic and artist creating containers for healing, personal gnosis, and wonder to come through.

This iteration of the Living the F**k Out of Your Chart series dropped into a profound space, more like a reading than a conversation.
Samar Jade is a Capricorn Rising, Capricorn Sun, and Cancer Moon, with Mars conjunct Pluto (and South Node!) in Scorpio. That's a powerful invitation.
As in all LTFOOYC explorations, what we're going for here is an opportunity to draw up connections between the chart's data and the felt experience of a human being. It's always an honor and a privilege to hold that level of intimacy, and it's also a lot of fun. Whether you're a chart lover or brand new to astrology, you will find resonances here to open your heart, lift your spirit, and delight your mind.

In this episode, I share about the Moon in astrology and in the chart. I share an old saying I wrote in my journal once: Show me your Moon and I'll show you your story for safety. I don't actually do it like that in the reading space, but I do connect the Moon placement to stories, habits, patterns, and needs for safety and security, for love and validation. These are pretty important motivators, which are often under the surface of our awareness because they are so tied to the past.

I've been wanting to talk about the word Witch for a long time time now. It's a word that is not neutral. This is a word that knows violence. This is a word that knows silencing. This is a word that knows projection. It's a slippery word one that resists description, definition, and even etymology. It belongs to the realm of the unlanguable: to mystery, to intuition, to magic.
I wanted to have this conversation in my podcast because it might be safer for folks to get close to it if they don't have to put their name or their money down to engage with it. My desire is to do any small bit of clearing distortion that I can.
To help me in my dream for this episode, I invited 6 individuals who I knew would offer words on Witch as unique as they are. Thank you to each, who you hear in this order:
~ Mariola Rosario (she/her): astrologer, artist, teacher, and witch
~ Rebecca Padgett (she/her): artist, mystic, and medium
~ Jonathan Koe (they/he): artist, mystic, and astrologer
~ Samar Jade (they/them): magical academic, seer, writer, and ensoulment doula
~ Lisa Quigley (she/her): alien cyborg glitch witch
~ Matt Bull (he/him): writer, artist, dad, lover
I am wildly grateful for your these profound testimonies to the word Witch.

From September 11 - November 20, our upcoming course Moon to Moon is a 9-week transformational intensive to deprogram from harmful conditioning, unlearn patterns of self-abandonment, repair from repeated breaches in self-trust, protect the present moment from your inner child’s fear of it, and become unwavering to your truth in the face of invalidation. Rebecca will be leading the 6 Wednesday meetups, which will focus on skills building and practices for dilating access to your intuition and psychic awareness.
CHECK OUT THE COURSE PAGE. The last for Early Bird pricing is Monday August 28.
Rebecca Padgett is an artist and mystic, who lives in rural Ontario, Canada. Rebecca’s passion is to help guide people to develop their own intuitive and psychic abilities. She uses a range of tools, from astrology, tarot, and reiki, to psychism and mediumship, working with spirit guides and her intuition to support clients on their path through life’s changes and challenges.
Rebecca mentioned in this episode: Sarah Faith Gottesdiener, Kay Taylor, and Mary Grisey.
I mentioned: The Magician's Table, my Moon to Moon workbook, and the Spolia Tarot.

I bring you this episode in honor of Venus Retrograde in Leo from July 22 to September 3, 2023.
The first part of the episode is a conversation with my boyfriend Matt Bull. The last Venus Retrograde literally broke us, and then Venus walked with us through a radical repair process that has been nurturing our love since. We talk about the ways mystical "bullshit" has supported us as individuals and as a couple.
The most bullshit framework of all helped us the most: Twin Flames. It's deeply embarrassing to admit, but it's true. By fully committing to exploring the responsibility of being twin flames, we nurtured repair and healed in ways I don't know we would have experienced if we hadn't been willing to play with the possibility.
Matt has come on Moon to Moon before, and I encourage everyone to check out our first conversation "Coincidence as a Practice," which we reference often. In that episode, we talk about religious trauma, UFOs, and how embracing coincidence yields more magical, mystical living. It's my 3rd most popular episode ever. I trust you'll enjoy it.
The second part of today's episode (the last 25 minutes or so) is a solo segment where I talk about Venus retrogrades in general and about this one in Leo specifically. I share dates and suggestions for walking through this experience to receive the loving updates Venus wants to offer you.

Welcome to another dark moon download.
I have found it to be true that expanding who we are out in the world has a to do with expanding our capacity to be with what comes up in our inner world as we face the evidence of our lives. From an emotional perspective, most evidence is "failure," and a lot of the reason we hold back or "stay small" has to do with protecting ourselves from evidence we don't want to see. So to become a person of evidence means to become someone with the courage and self-trust to be with whatever comes up in the present moment.
In this dark moon episode, I share how this idea of becoming a person of evidence has been growing in my life as I've been relating it to both the presence of Taurus and the paradox of Gemini.

The title of this new series is inspired by Rainer Maria Rilke's passage from Letters to a Young Poet: "Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.”
In this new M2M series, which will be monthly or every other month, I want to respond to the questions on your heart that you must ask - not the questions you should ask, or even the ones you want to ask. You know it's a question that you must ask because it sings from your heart. In the asking, you begin to live your way into the answer. The point is not to hear what I have to say about it as much as to speak your question, trusting that if it's a question you must ask, then it's also a question that is in some way bigger than yourself. These are questions than live in other bodies, too. And so let's share them together, each of us responding to them and living them in our own weird ways.
I share what I am learning and living from the questions, but not to give answers that solve problems or tie things with a bow. I can only answer emergently from the present moment, trusting that my personal truth in the question will light something up in the listener.
In this 1st episode, I share 5 questions that I have recently been asked. Moving forward, I invite you to share your question here and I may or may not share yours in an upcoming episode. Know that it's in the speaking your question that you will feel a shift, not from my response.
The 5 questions:
- What has been your experience emerging as an astrologer with your daughters? Have they ever resented you or shown disapproval?
- How do you bring your thoughts into the physical form so they can be communicated and be helpful and be guideposts and spells for other people through the written word?
- How can we discern between the "wild twin" and self-destruction?
- How do you navigate feelings of being an imposter or feeling not healed enough to hold space for others?
- How do you do all the things you do? What are the practical and logistical as well as the mystical and intangible factors that support you in being someone who holds so much?
I hope you enjoy Living the Questions as much as I enjoyed creating it!
If you haven't left a review or rating, I would be so grateful if you would take a moment to offer one.

It's my honor and joy to share this rich, sincere, probing conversation Nick Kepley of In Search of Tarot podcast. I saw that Nick was constellating a virtual conference this June 4-28 called Meet Me at The Margin and I felt an immediate impulse to have them come on Moon to Moon to talk about it. My dream is for this experience to find its way to those who long for it.
Meet Me at The Margin is a month-long virtual conference for queer people who want to reclaim and re-story their innate capacity for ambiguity, paradox, and liminality. Through a series of eight workshops facilitated by some of today’s most Marginal thinkers, participants explore queerness through the lenses of tarot, astrology, narrative therapy, eco-mythology, archetype, art, and more.

"I realize now that I came to astrology to heal shame, though I didn't know that at the time. I had never really put the word shame on my experience. But I now see that shame was the baseline of my personality. I had an apology for my existence somewhere in any conversation, any project, any situation.
Whether it was the perceived too-gruesome parts of me I was apologizing for, or even for the perceived too-perfect parts of me. I just wanted to apologize to everyone. "I'm sorry I exist." But back then I didn't know that what I was swimming in was a sea of shame.
It feels really foreign to me to talk about that now. It's not that I don't have shame that I notice. It's just that now I notice it because I'm not so immersed in it that I can't even see it. I tap on new layers of it all the time. And I know what to do to help myself and to resource myself.
What I see in working with other people is that shame is the thing that's always present. Shame is the thing we're all carrying around. Whether we think that word is something we associate with or not. Maybe you call it the inner critic. Maybe you call it self-sabotage. Maybe you're attached to the word guilt or regret or self-mistrust. To me, it's all a shame problem."
For astrology to be helpful, it has to help us with shame, because we cannot vision exciting futures when we see life through a shame lens. Unshaming the Signs is a framework for calling in this approach to speaking astrology. It's a healing-focused approach to astrology.
I hope you enjoy it and find it helpful. Let me know what you think!

This is a deeply meaningful episode for me. My guests are Rebecca Padgett and Bridget Scanlon, two women I've known for several years now. Listeners, give yourself some space for this one! It's deep and slow and rich and wise. The best kind of M2M! It's my hope that you find something supportive to you here for your shadow work path.
You may remember Rebecca (she/her) from episode 69 titled "This Is Who I Am Now" Emerging as a Mystic with Rebecca Padgett." Rebecca is a mystic, artist, and oracle devoted to the unseen world, living in an old farm house in Ontario, Canada. Rebecca is the 13th Reader for this year The Magician's Table.
Bridget (she/her) has also been on M2M before in the episode 64 "Astrology as a Community Constellator." Bridget is a mystic and an astrologer living in New York City.
Thank you both for bringing your wisdom to M2M. It's such an honor to know you. Excited to share this conversation for my birthday weekend!

Podcast art: Angela George. Podcast music: Jonathan Koe.
In this solo show, I share what's been coming through as the core teaching from across the past lunar cycle.
Topics include:
- the Aquarius invitation to separate enough from others people to hear our own unique frequency
- how connecting to your frequency is a responsibility to both yourself and to the collective
- how your refusal to be standardized isn't personal, though it may feel like that to people who want to tell you who you should be
- how participating in your unique frequency may be triggering to others but it's not your job to be palatable or understandable to everyone
- how participating is a surrendering to your being nature, and how this is vulnerable
- how we might not feel ready to participate because of that vulnerability but the desire to connect with our assignment wants us to do it anyway
- how our frequency is powered by the core striving of our spirit, and how crucial it is to understand that striving
After moving through the insights, I share what's been coming up in my world because these are the factors contributing to the insights. These include:
- getting my edits back from the publisher, which disrupted my long-held narrative that institutions won't get me or support my frequency
- Mars direct enactments
- what I'm learning about healing in my course Astrology as Praxis
- what I'm learning about promo from The Magician's Table
- facing my fear of "not readiness" and practicing psychic offerings
- honoring a year ago when Matt and I broke up for a week and then totally renewed our contract
I sincerely hope this episode will be helpful and resonant to those it magnetizes.
If you enjoy the episode, let me know! I would love to receive your 5-star rating and review. Thank you so much to those who've already given one!

This is a topic that continues to teach and humble me. It's so potent, juicy, and rich. It's also very healing.
The truth of it comes down to vulnerability. Being witnessed and being a witness are both deeply vulnerable experiences. As I share, the root of vulnerable come from "to wound," such that vulnerability means our capacity to be wounded. What does it mean to be openly seen as capable of being wounded and to still show up anyway with your magical gifts in service to others? This is what I most care about.

This is a favorite topic for me. There is so much to say and unpack and weave on this. Three magical people in my world have joined me to riff on what naming yourself as a magical person means and can mean.
Meet Chels Homes: Chels is an intuitive astrologer, tarot reader, and lifestyle coach offering readings and workshops online and around the Dallas, Texas area. Chels has worked with many facets of woo for years and with her previous career in corporate and nonprofit leadership development she helps you gain perspective on how to best navigate daily life in your own way and find connection to yourself, other, nature and beyond. Check out Chels’ weekly astro forecast podcast, Weekly Woo with Chels, for tips on using the energies of the week ahead.
Website - www.thiswoowoostuff.com Instagram - @shesintothiswoowoostuff Podcast - Weekly Woo with Chels
And Cole: Cole (she/her) is a word weaver, tarot traveler, and magic maker. A Virgo Sun and Gemini Rising, she finds Mercury fascinating and confounding in blissfully unequal measure. She attains her joy in constellating with her community, and aims to elevate and empower her tarot clients as a guide at their side, rather than to lead the way from a distance ahead. Cole spent her 20s and early 30s pursuing a career in psychology as a family therapist, rediscovering her love for tarot just before her first Saturn return. In the nine years that have passed since this rekindling, she has embraced her role as a lifelong student and seeker, standing now at the crossroads of wisdom and mystery, knowing there are more trails to uncover. Perhaps you will show her a path you have found? In the digital realm, Cole is the creator of the forthcoming website Rosie Cole Reads, a medley of invitations and explorations centered on creative expression and tarot adventuring, and you can find her on Instagram and SubStack under that title (@RosieColeReads). On the physical plane, she is often surrounded by open books, chugging iced coffee, burning incense, quoting movies, and bothering her cats. In either dimension, she will try to make you laugh.
And Lily: Lily of the Valley (she/they) is a intuitive, artist, and community-builder living on unceded land of the Anishinabewaki near gichi-gami referred to as Lake Superior in Northern Wisconsin. They are a poet, musician, and all-around rabble-rouser offering readings and consultations in astrology, tarot/oracle practice, and sound meditation. Recently Lily has begun providing their research librarian skills to burgeoning magical ‘scholars’ as they explore astrology more deeply. Also in their multitudinous identity-roster lists, they are a witch who is slowly working on a fresh take on Italian Kitchen Magic and nature-based delights. Lily wants nothing more than for everyone to find their magical voice and join in the revolution. IG: @lilycristina

This was such a joy. Mary Schuch is one of the most emotional honest, hilarious, and wise people I know. It was so fun to hang out with Mary for this edition of the ongoing M2M series "Living the F**k Out of Your Chart."
LTFOOYC is for chart nerds and future chart nerds. It's where astrology and personal stories come together to give us insights on, jokes for, and connection to the fullness of the human experience.
Mary's key chart features include: Taurus Rising, Taurus Moon, Aquarius Sun, major Capricorn stellium in the 9th with Chiron-Jupiter opposing from the 3rd in Cancer, and Pluto in the 7th.
Mary has been in many (most?) of my learning containers, including the past two iterations of The Magician's Table and my current year-long course Astrology as Praxis. Since early 2021, we have shared space together most weeks of the year. We do not hide our casual intimacy and mutual adoration here.
Many dear friends are mentioned including Jonathan Koe, Mariola Rosario, Mallory Dowd, Jaclyn Skeans, and Rebecca Padgett. Mary also shares how much she loved the M2M with my boyfriend Matt "Coincidence as a Practice."
Mary references her beloved mentor Leah Garza several times as well. Mary found me through my interview with Heidi Rose Robbins. "There is No Road" by Antonio Machado. The work of Lama Rod Owens.
Mary's bio: Mary Schuch (she/her) is committed to showing up for the experience of belonging in a human body. In this lifetime, Mary is steadily walking a resonant path and striving to remember the inherent relationality of all beings. Informed by her upbringing as a homeschooled pastor's kid and the eighth of eleven siblings, Mary is reclaiming her right to exploration and education through meditative multidisciplinary living. She is devoted to practices incorporating writing, music, art, breadmaking, astrology, movement, and being outdoors. A beneficial byproduct of years of manual labor, Mary’s reverence for contemplative time has grown through work in gardens, kitchens, on a commercial lobster boat, and an oyster farm.
Mary is the co-host of “My Life Is Better With You In It,” a podcast about two friends examining the energetics of collaboration and creativity.
Through these avenues, Mary is joyfully emerging as an intuitive and comedic mystic. She enjoys connecting with people through offering readings and is currently open for booking. She is originally from the Chicago area and now lives on an island in Maine.
Thank you for being in my world, Mary Schuch!

I recorded this episode at the exact hour of my Saturn Opposition. In this episode, I honor Saturn and Venus both, who have been guiding me to see how support - seen and unseen - is more available than we know.
In this episode, I talk about

- how to listen to constriction in the body and let it tell you what it's story is so you can act in the world from a re-patterned place
- Venus-Saturn dynamics
- The Magician card
- what it means to be "in" your channel
- how being deeply aligned with your unique channel creates new collective futures (Leo-Aquarius)
The Magician's Table is a life-changing, 3-month community container for getting intimate with your personal magic and how you share it with others. It's one of my core offerings, now in its 3rd iteration.

Scorpio season kicks off today and I am dropping this special episode with Scorpio Sun Chelsea Wolfe to honor the day.
Chelsea Wolfe is a singer-songwriter from Northern California who has spent the last 13 years touring the world with her eponymous band, and releasing albums that range from the intimacy of acoustic folk all the way to sludge metal. Wolfe’s music has been featured in film and TV episodes and trailers such as Game of Thrones and American Horror Story, and in 2021 she composed her first movie score in collaboration with Tyler Bates for the A24 film “X.”
Her approach to recording can be experimental, yet her works are tied together in rich textures and the haunting melodies of her unique voice and writing style, inspired by the depths of the realm of sleep and dreams, and digging into the heaviness of this world to find its strange beauty.
Check out her music on Spotify.

Associated with a hodgepodge of seemingly disparate topics over the centuries - taxes, shared resources, death, trauma, intense bonding, the occult, sexual obsessions and compulsions, and mysteries. What unites these is that none are topics we're likely to get into over a casual lunch with someone we don't know well. They represent what is hidden, taboo, and repressed in a culture. And we all have an 8th House.
Both my one-on-one containers and my live community spaces tend to be very 8th House. By tapping into the hidden, we bring forth the unconscious for healing, integration, and ultimately transformation.
I invited my friend Erin Kelley to come talk about the 8th House because Erin is someone with a significant 8th House assignment: she has Sun & Moon in Libra in the 8th. Depending on the house system she chooses, she has multiple other planets as well.
I tend to be very attracted to people with 8th House invitations. They go through a lot of Life-Death-Life cycles and have to continually reinvent themselves and grow stronger every round. This is a quality I respect. My oldest daughter is a Sun-Moon plus 3 other planets 8th House child. Loving and caring for her increases my passion for this realm of astrology.
I hope you enjoy this topical focus on a single house - my first time to do this on Moon to Moon!
Erin Kelley is an astrologer and intuitive who loves finding beauty and joy in the most unexpected places. A former kundalini yoga and meditation teacher, full spectrum birth worker, and consultative strategist, she believes the book of knowledge is never truly written and has an insatiable curiosity which is continually calling her to adventure and leading her down a number of paths. Erin has studied the nature of invisible things throughout her life and in 2020, she began working on the concept of Slow Magick, which is the practice of slowing down and stepping into sacred time, to deeply connect with Nature and the Land to relax, restore, and reveal the natural self. When not ensconced in enthusiastic communion and conversation with the otherworld realms, you can find Erin and on the internet at https://slowmagick.com. Follow her on Instagram.
Her contribution to my upcoming offering Cave Space is titled: "Life After the 8th House: Healing, miracles, and other riches of the unseen realms." Her pre-recorded lecture discusses strategies and practices for working with the “mysterious dark” as an ongoing practice utilizing one’s natal chart as a catalyst for co-creation of one’s desires.
Upon registration, there's a spot to input your mailing address for your Living the Signs: Scorpio workbook. And if you're one of the first 30 people to register, you receive a free bonus gift: an herbal ritual oil inspire by Pluto and Scorpio from the Witches for Bernie apothecary!

Reframing my struggles with astrology has helped me not only re-commit to living here but to do so with wild aliveness, authenticity, and joyful presence. This is because astrology is a magical language: the words are more than new vocabulary terms.
Astrology provides codes for accessing technologies for speaking magic, for healing, and for dreaming the emergence of new timelines for ourselves and for our world.
In this episode, I share how on the side of portal of the magical word Scorpio, we open into a realm for healing our relationship to the unconscious, to trauma, to buried memories, and to the dead.
You'll find here:
- a study of the ancient Sumerian myth "The Descent of Inanna" - the precursor to the myth of Persephone
- a look at ways modern psychoanalysis has shaped our understanding astrology and myth, and what this has to do with emergence
- a discussion of the 8th House in astrology as our closet and our underground, which tends to open up for us the deeper we go in our enmeshed relationships
- co-dependency versus what I call "gate-walking" (how to hold sovereignty and our own shit within our deep partnerships)
- the connections between alchemy, astrology, and psychology
- my own version of the 7 stages of an underworld journey and why I'm so passionate for helping myself and those who are interested in learning with me to find tools and skills for moving through stage 2 (gnarly feels) and 3 (being with what's here).
- how in ancient Sumerian language "ear" and "wisdom" are the same word, so in the original Descent when it begins that Inanna "opened her ear" to the Great Below, it refers to the wisdom she wanted to learn from the underworld, and how wisdom is so much of the gift of the journey
- a discussion of how crucial it is to give our shadow self - the unconscious that bubbles up - a witness to listen and reflect back without judging, advice-giving, or solution-grasping
This episode is so much of everything I am and everything I do. I love it.
Learn about my new offering CAVE SPACE, an online learning container with 4 weekly lives but mostly pre-recorded teachings and exercises for you to experience at your own pace. I invited 12 contributors to bring their wisdom of the underground path to guide you in the dark. Most of them you will recognize from Moon to Moon or my learning containers. We meet Scorpio season. All replays available for folks who join later or can't attend.
The purpose of CAVE SPACE is to give you magical language, tools, and exercises to greet yourself where it's often quite scary. The overall goal is the same as with all of Emergence Astrology: to help you trust your life.
All participants receive my Scorpio workbook. The first 30 to register receive a Pluto ritual oil from Ashley Estabrook of Witches for Bernie.

Divorce is an initiation. And like all initiations, it's a death. Death brings life. Life brings death. The only sure thing is change. And divorce helps us live this truth in ways that are sometimes harrowing, often wondrous, always alive.
Divorce is utterly thorough in its initiatory invitations. There are no parts of us that aren't asked to shift. I know this. And Molly Blue Wilder knows it.
Molly's bio: 28 years and 7 kids into marriage, the family-centered life I meticulously crafted fell apart at the seams.Even though it was high time, the upheaval of divorce exposed my deepest attachment wounds. Disoriented; overwhelmed; reeling with grief, uncertainty and fear, I gradually learned to hold onto myself in each moment as it unfolded, rather than getting sucked into the painful vortex of the past or the anxiety of an unknown future. Applying the salve of practical skills, somatic awareness and powerful shifts in thinking, I lovingly attended to my healing process, allowing innate power and intuition to deeply root the growth of my new family structure and relationships. Today, as a somatic and trauma informed life coach, I’m a bridge of resources and support for those on a similar hero’s journey, facing the deepest wounds for the sake of wild self-reclamation, freedom, and powerful life creation.
I wish I had had someone like Molly to support me through my own initiation. (As I joke in the intro, astrology was my divorce recovery coach lol.)
In this beautiful conversation we discuss:
Connect with Molly through her website.

Molly and I share how we met in one of somatic healer Luis Mojica's small group spaces for space holders who have clients working with trauma. You may be interested in checking out my conversation with Luis on his podcast here and on Moon to Moon here.

Oh what a joy to be with Rebecca Padgett. This episode is a tale of 2 emergences: Rebecca's emergence as a beautiful, deeply connected astrologer and then her emergence as a full-blown psychic and seer. This episode is publishing on her solar return: Happy Birthday, Rebecca!
Stay until the end though the outro! I share some personal things that yielded some yummy words for you.
Rebecca's bio: I am Rebecca Padgett - a tarot reader, astrologer, visual artist, and dedicated student of divinatory and intuitive practices. My attraction to all things mystical began in childhood. From a young age, I felt a connection to something more than what I could see and feel in this physical world. As my intuition developed, so did my sensitivity to the energy of others here and on the “other side.” Inspired by my family lineage, I undertook an intensive period of study with a variety of internationally renowned teachers, astrologers, and tarot readers to clarify my own experiences, find my voice, and refine my ability to share my intuition with others. I take great pride in being able to reflect that knowledge to each person who comes to me seeking answers and guidance.

Sharing some Big Virgo Wisdom coming through lately in my court and it feels so yummy to share this with you here in the Moon to Moon space.
This phrasing for Virgo from Esoteric Astrology feels like such a rich zone for listening and healing alchemy right now. What does it mean to be both the "mother" and vessel shaper of ourselves, of our lives? What does it mean to also be the child of ourselves, of our lives? This is not an easeful zone for contemplation because most of us have such activation when it comes to what we've been served from systemically unskillful Virgo energy. Many of us have been on the receiving end of harsh Virgo - especially to ourselves!
This is the zone of the Inner Critic so I understand that caregiving here is frightening to consider.
I feel that right now we're being asked to release how we're thinking about something that's going on in our lives. And I offer this Mother / Child medicine of Virgo as a way in.
Virgo invites us to attune to what's up. To learn from it. To adapt based on this new information. And then to refine as you go.
Attune - Learn - Adapt - Refine... This is Virgo.
This isn't always easeful for those of us afraid to really show up, unsure how we feel about inhabiting a body here on the planet, afraid we'll do it wrong if we try, worried we can't trust ourselves to show up the way we might want to, convinced it's easier to just not have a refining process or a practice.
My invitation is to gently start where you are and sit with what comes up to be witnessed and released as you listen here and live with what lands.
In the episode, I also offer this tarot spread for you. It's 6 cards in a pyramid shape:
TOP
1 card: What is the situation? This refers to whatever part of your life where you sense you're learning the most because you're being challenged to learn and adapt: a relationship, some aspect of your work, a way you're approaching something.
MIDDLE
2 cards: Left: How am I the mother of this situation? Right: How am I the child?
BOTTOM
3 cards: Left: What does Mercury want me to remember? Middle: What does Mercury want me to release? Right: What else do I need to know?
Enjoy! Let me know how it goes. Tag me if you share!
For sure the "situation" in my field right now is learning how to be the co-mother and the child of Astrology as Praxis. It's expanding and challenging who I think I am in radical, unforeseen ways.
My collaborator Jonathan Koe and I are still talking with folks interested in joining. Our curriculum explores various portals to approaching and integrating astrology into our lives - as a practice for unlocking creativity, questioning consensus reality, and remembering our participation in the cosmic body. In this unashamedly magical episode, my collaborator Jonathan Koe and I are joined by a dearly admired member of our community spaces - Nicole France-Coe. Nicole landed in an astrology course that we tended to last year, and this year, Nicole will be joining us as part of the community support team for our upcoming course, Astrology as Praxis along with Jaclyn Skeans, who was the guest of Episode 23. This conversation is as unapologetically mystical, profound, and grounded as Nicole's presence is.
We discussed how Nicole found our spaces through a deep, intuitive call to learn astrology, how Nicole's life led them to the devotional path to The Great Mystery, and what she's learned about being living in the liminal as a mixed race, gender non-conforming, neurodivergent human. Nicole also spoke about her experience with astrology - trusting the stars to tell her who she is, working directly with the planets through her own embodied gnosis, and how astrology connects them to their ancestors.
Nicole, Jonathan, and I had such a fun time during the point of the conversation where we collectively realized that Astrology as Praxis will be a year-long dance party with the planets. I'm excited for you to experience Nicole's magic with us in Astrology as Praxis.
Here’s Nicole’s bio:
Nicole Providence France-Coe (she/they) is a devotee to Great Mystery and all Its beauty, pleasure, liminality, and dismantling power. She is more at home in the Unknown than the Binary and the Static. Being born onto Earth as a mixed race, gender non-conforming, neurodivergent human has provided the blood and bone blueprint for learning how to dance in the cracks.
Nicole relates deeply to the archetypal energy of the Trickster as well as the High Priestess and delights in wedding these two energies in her body and through her oracular offerings.
This fall, with her partner Dicky, they will be launching their business website, The Lion & the Lute. This space will hold their offerings in service to ancestral healing, oracular arts, handmade goods and flower essences.
In the meantime, you can reach Nicole at [email protected] or IG @nicolefrancecoe.
In this episode, Nicole also mentioned The Lyceum - The Sacred Trust https://sacredtrust.org/workshops/pollen/ as well as Kathryn Solie's poisonous plant medicine class https://www.kathrynsolie.com/
We also mention the work of Rachel Blodgett of Serpent & Bow. You can hear Rachel on M2M in Episode 43. And Megan Frye of Healing Wave Hypnosis. You can hear Megan on M2M Episode 56.
Join me and Jonathan in a year-long astrological learning container, Astrology as Praxis! Our curriculum explores various portals to approaching and integrating astrology into our lives - as a practice for unlocking creativity, questioning consensus reality, and remembering our participation in the cosmic body. We begin our journey on Sep 10, 2022, and registration will open on Aug 26-28, 2022.
So thrilling to be getting into the real deal - the structure of what we will actually be doing in Astrology as Praxis: Remembering Your Participation in the Cosmic Body, my upcoming year-long astrology learning container. This is what you come for.
How can we turn curriculum-building, something potentially boring and mundane, into a magical, mystical, creative practice? How do we build learning containers that are not only sturdy, but life-giving and nourishing? How can we create a course curriculum that works through our lives, our bodies, our spirits?
In this conversation, Jonathan Koe and I sat for a meaty, joyful conversation on the curriculum of our upcoming course, Astrology as Praxis. As lifelong students and teachers, we geeked out over our shared love for a juicy course curriculum. So we knew that when we began speaking to the spirit of Astrology as Praxis, we wanted to also craft a robust curriculum - one that will ensure that participants will feel held, cared for, and, simultaneously, challenged during the transformative experience of the course.
We argue that it's once you're actually inside the experience that you learn what you came for. The visible curriculum is supported by so much invisible care, and we are transparent about our process here. I had so much fun talking about it all.
We discussed how we weaved our mystical practices into the creation of this curriculum, how reflecting on the cardinal signs (Aries, Libra, Cancer, and Capricorn) volunteered to help us with creating structures for the container, and finally we revealed and discussed the powerful syllabus for Astrology as Praxis.
In the final 25 minutes, I speak to some logical and practical concerns you may have: how to afford this experience, what times are the meetups, and so. Stay until the end for answers to your questions.
Join me and Jonathan in a year-long astrological learning container, Astrology as Praxis! What a joy it is to share the story & the spirit of my student-client-collaborator Jaclyn Skeans here on Moon to Moon. Jaclyn is no stranger to the podcast. She was on episode 53 with some of the crew from The Magician's Table 2021 talking about working with Fire and elemental magic. And she joined the last episode - number 64 - on Astrology as Community Constellator, with folks from my previous astrology learning container Charting Your Course.
Jaclyn shares how astrology has infused her life over the last couple of years, calling her into emergence again and again as she has listened and shown up. As I share in the intro, Jaclyn is such a heart-opening presence for me and for those in the circles where I witness her. She will melt you with her honest and loving voice. In 2022, Jaclyn has become a force of inspiration for us, as she's listened to the coaxing of the planets to reclaim her identity as a creative person.
I swell with pride to announce that Jaclyn will be joining Astrology as Praxis - my new learning container co-facilitated with Jonathan Koe - as part of our community support team. She will be helping us hold the space and will be teaching in the second half of our time. The whole community is so lucky to have her with us!
Jaclyn Skeans (she/her) is an avid list maker (Virgo Rising), lover of all things magical (Pisces Sun), and always curious about how you're really doing (Scorpio Moon). Cultivating a more intimate relationship with astrology and the planets has been an ever evolving gift, one that currently has Jaclyn creating a life that inspires and excites her. In the real world you'll most likely find Jaclyn out on meandering walks with her dog, sitting in the sun, or in her sewing studio creating Astro Hoops- custom, textile creations that turn your natal chart into tangible art. Astrology is a medium for connecting with others. It's a community practice. It constellates us together while we remember who we are. The root of constellation means "together with the stars" - of course astrology brings us together with the stars! Tears!
In this special episode, my collaborator Jonathan Koe and I host a conversation with five beautiful humans who participated in our 2021-22 astrological learning space Charting Your Course.
We discussed:
A special thank you to John Beynon, Amy Lauricello, Bridget Scanlon, Mary Schuch, and Jaclyn Skeans for contributing their insights and lived wisdom. Read more about them below:
John has been reading tarot since the early ‘90s and has been intertwining astrology and tarot in his personal practice, which he often shares through his Instagram account at @the.charyot. He brings a social justice lens to his work in the intuitive arts, and he is currently interested in how the modalities of tarot and astrology support recovery for people who are liberating themselves from substance abuse disorders.
Mary describes herself as someone who is committed to showing up for the experience of belonging in a human body. Informed by her upbringing as a homeschooled pastor's kid and the eighth of eleven siblings, Mary is reclaiming her right to exploration and education. She values meditative multidisciplinary living through her practices of writing, music, art, movement, breadmaking, astrology, and being outdoors. You can find Mary @maryschuch.
Bridget Scanlon is an Aries Rising, Scorpio Sun, and Capricorn Moon living in New York.
This episode is our siren song as we constellate the community around our next learning container: Astrology as Praxis. We are lovingly calling in and nurturing our future course participants and all those for whom this exploration may be deeply shifting or liberating.
Registration will be Aug 26-28 and we begin Sept 10. Please reach out for questions or clarifications.

What an honor to share this conversation with my dear friend, creative collaborator, and business partner Angela George. In this iteration from the series LTFOOYC, we study and celebrate how Angela is living the f**k out of her chart with special focus on her Libra Rising, Virgo stellium, and Leo Sun.
Many M2M listeners already know Angela through her aesthetic genius in my workbooks. Angela is my First Reader, and takes the content I channel from Word doc to delicious design.
As a creative director, Angela has walked numerous companies through the branding exercise, both young companies and established brands looking for a fresh identity. Her innovative outlook allows clients to articulate their unique qualities in ways that forge profound and lasting connections, which she then translates through the language of design.
Angela has worked for boutique design studios and behemoth Ad agencies. She spent nearly 7 years at The Richards Group where she quickly worked her way up from designer to leading a team of creatives for a number of the agency’s top clients such as Red Lobster and Dr Pepper Snapple Group.
Angela founded By George Partners in 2011 to focus her energy on the clientele she is most passionate about: lifestyle brands with an emphasis on food, fashion, and hospitality industries.
At the core of her practice is always strategic, conceptual, design work.
Her enthusiasm for food, and unique creative background landed her an opportunity in 2015 to compete with cooks on Food Network’s new hit series “All Star Academy” (Season One). There, she used her creative skills and talents in the kitchen to compete for prizes under the tutelage of celebrity chef Bobby Flay!

In this episode, I open by sharing what being "wildly alive" means to me and I get into what you can expect from the investment in my new offering Wildly Alive: Channeling FIRE for Your Emergence.
It is my great pleasure to welcome to Moon to Moon one of my earliest astrology teachers Debra Silverman.
In the conversation, I share with Debra the top 4 takeaways that I got from her teachings that still deeply support from work. Of these four, one of them was the importance of honoring the elements in one's astrological practice and daily life. Debra wrote a book called The Missing Element, which helps you learn elemental wisdom to weave into your healing path.
Debra was tickled to hear me distill what she taught me. She also shares with me what she most loves about her chart, a question she's never been asked before.
Debra's bio: While there is no “one size fits all” approach, Debra has developed a unique psychological-spiritual model, combining her expertise in Esoteric (soul-centered) Astrology with her extensive education in Psychotherapy to help those going through major life changes, pain, and insecurity. She custom designs her therapeutic approach to each individual, using astrology and psychology as a magical healing combination in order to achieve emotional health & wisdom.

This is a very special episode for me as my guest is my boyfriend Matt Bull.
Matt is a Clio-winning writer and creative director, and cofounder of a small but acclaimed advertising agency called Kickstand. His work has been covered extensively, and he was once called an “advertising folk hero of sorts” by Adweek. You might recognize his voice from either his side work as a voiceover artist for national brands or from the viral video of him pranking his daughter (Google Mario kart dad prank if you’re curious). Matt is a dedicated father to 3 teenagers. And he is happiest when he is making something, whether it’s a song, a poem, or a piece of furniture.
In the intro to episode, I share Matt's chart (thank you, Matt, for your permission). Matt is a Sag Rising with Neptune on the Ascendant, a Pisces Sun conjunct Jupiter, and a Gemini Moon.
Then I get into a discussion of The Hierophant from the tarot, and how the card felt important to my desire to bring Matt on the show. The Hierophant is associated with the sign of Taurus, and relates to Taurus's connection to the throat and the vocal chords.
I also share how the framework of the Emergent No - which I introduced here exactly a year ago - is so alive again right now, and how honoring his No has been crucial across Matt's life.
General time stamps:
43 minutes in: interview begins
49 minutes: the first time Matt uses the phrasing "wildly coincidental"
58 minutes: Matt shares about being the son of an ordained minister, Christian counselor, and exorcist of "demon attachments"
1 hour 7 minutes: Matt discusses when and how he began to question the certainty of the frameworks of his religious upbringing
1 hour 17 minutes: how Matt came to embrace the weird and preposterous as part of living with uncertainty (it involves UFOs)
1 hour 31 minutes: how astrology helps Matt feel a wave from the universe and let go of needing direct answers
1 hour 34 minutes: how healing from religious trauma has meant embracing a life-long process of relearning self-trust
1 hour 49 minutes: Matt's growing relationship to the tarot as a space for play, intuition, and practicing coincidence
2 hours: Matt's wildly coincidental stories with the 1st quarter moon and their connections to his own version of Vulture Magic
2 hours 17 minutes: my outro section begins and I share yet another wild coincidence we forgot to mention in our interview
Thank you, Matt, for bringing your whole self to Moon to Moon! I love you so much.
Note for astrologers: I published this episode when Jupiter was exactly conjunct his Sun at Pisces 29'02.

Living the F**K Out of Your Chart is a series that Moon to Moon hosts now and then. In each of these episodes, Britten and her guest weave personal story-telling with the wisdom of the guest's chart.
LTFOOYC episodes are fun for students of astrology. Whether you are a beginner, a professional, or somewhere in between, you can feel the archetypes come through and expand your personal database for certain placements. It is moving and inspiring to access the experience of having a different chart from one's own.
For the Aries edition, Britten invited her longtime client, student, hypnotherapy guide, editor, collaborator, and friend Megan Frye. Megan is a fiery Aries Sun. She is also Cancer Rising with Moon in Aquarius. We get into lots of other signatures as well.
Megan is a writer, hypnotherapist, and eternal student of astrology. She is the human behind Healing Wave Hypnosis. She offers monthly group hypnosis sessions based on astrological archetypes as well as 1:1 hypno sessions, astrology readings and custom hypnotic journeys. She is co-founder of Holistic Soul Project, which offers transformative body, mind + spirit retreats around the world. You can connect with her on IG at @healingwavehypnosis and @holisticsoulproject.
Happy Solar Return, Megan!

It's classic Moon to Moon. I speak from my cave space.

The Future Self we long to greet emerges as we become approachable.
I am so excited to share this episode, mostly just because it felt good in my body to record.
This episode has three parts: 1) on E M E R G E N C E and all this term means to my work, 2) why Aquarius is the ultimate emergence sign, with a long time sitting with Aquarius's teachings, and 3) the astrology of Aquarius season 2022.
Yummy yummy yummy.
That Toko-pa Turner quote from Belonging: Remembering Ourselves Home is: "Emergence never happens all at once. It is a slow stepping into the expanded capacity of your next self. You may need practice at releasing in those places you’ve grown accustomed to bracing which, like a tight swaddle, was comforting in its limits. But when the time to remain hidden comes to its natural end, you must begin to inhabit your new dimensionality, breathe into the fullness of your gaining altitude and consider that what presents itself as fear may actually be exhilaration. As your future approaches you, worry less how it may receive you and say a prayer instead for your becoming approachable."

I'm excited to share another installment of the LTFOOYC series. This time my guest is Mallory Dowd, a Capricorn Sun. Mallory is also a Virgo Rising with Virgo Moon.
Mallory is indeed living the F out of her chart. With Sun conjunct Jupiter in the 5th house of creativity, Mallory brings Capricornian structure and ritual to the expansive magic of personal storytelling. Having experienced her readings, I can attest to the fact that Mallory is deeply connected to multiple channels of intuition. Her witchcraft is huge and profound, and her heart is even bigger. Listeners, I hope you love this conversation.
Mallory Dowd is an artist, tarot reader, teacher, theatre-maker, storyteller, and mystic. In 2014, she left her home in so-called Chicago and a dissatisfying career in social work, and moved to South Korea, where she resides today. Mallory aims to enchant and awaken, casting spells with her words and urgently embodying the gifts of creativity, imagination, and play. As a reader and guide, she holds warm and compassionate space in which to embrace the energies and invitations that linger on the edges of awareness, desire, and change. Mallory collaborates with her clients, Spirit, and guides to connect with inner wisdom and self-expression, peer into the crones’ cave, and unearth treasures from the depths of our messy, miraculous lives.
She has a growing email newsletter community and is in the process of birthing new creative offerings and a podcast that playfully blends tarot, mysticism, and storytelling.
Follow Mallory on Instagram, join her newsletter, and book a reading with her to experience more of her magic.

As with all things Capricorn and Saturn, my goal here was to bring honor to the topics at hand.
The first part of this episode is a recap of the primary astrological invitations of 2021. I hope to help you come into a sense of "this is what I learned" and to bring it some closure.
Then we move into Capricorn wisdom and talk about Saturn. I find a lot of pleasure in expanding our definitions of these archetypes.
Cap season has a lot of significant astrology so I spend more than usual on what's coming.
And final: I offer a 5-card tarot reading for us. That felt so nice.
It's a long one. Key themes:
- how self-worth issues limit our visions
- shame and Capricorn
- opening the heart and surrendering to love when you have no evidence that it's safe to do so
- witnessing fears and vulnerabilities in order to release them
- intentions as sentient beings
- getting honest about capacity
- erotic aliveness as healing agent to winter's hardening
- ritualizing as Capricornian magic
- materializing what Sag taught you about aspirations
... and more.
I dedicate this episode to Matt, Prince of Dicks, who holds such loving space for my vulture alchemy.

As it's my central thesis of this episode that Sag season is here for us to help integrate, process, and alchemize all we've been learning across both autumn and this whole year, I spend a good half of this episode sharing all that I've been moving through lately, noting the big invitations in my life and where I am with these. So much of what I notice in my life I also see reflected in the experiences shared by my students, collaborators, friends, family, and clients.
Topics:
- rewriting self-identifications with confusion
- allowing oneself to be a winner
- musing on the words "I love you" and how they live and last beyond the contracts we make and break with those we love
- Vulture Magic celebrations
- what I am learning with The Devil
- new lessons on knowing one's value
- surprising layers of trauma healing
- how this moment feels like a new beginning
And then we get into Sagittarius wisdom. And I discuss where we are with the astrology right now and then the highlights of the forecast for Sag season. LOTS in this episode!
I hope you love it. If so, please rate and/or review Moon to Moon if you haven't before. Thank you thank you thank you!

It is my joy and honor to introduce a new format to the seasonal episode!
The episode has three parts:
1. A review of the rollocking recent astrology, weaving in personal storytelling and insights per usual
2. A rich, heart-led, and thought-provoking conversation with the brilliant and highly Scorpionic Mariola Rosario
3. My highlights and pointers to consider for Scorpio Season 2021
My upcoming Pluto intensive NOTES FROM THE UNDERGROUND: CULTIVATING INTIMACY WITH PLUTO + SCORPIO is open for registration now and runs for 3 weeks: October 26 - November 16. Register now to dive into the pre-course module and prepare.
I have constellated a team of incredible humans to guide us lovingly to the Underworld and back again: somatic therapist Luis Mojica, hypnotherapist Megan Frye, and astrologer (and this episode's podcast guest) Mariola Rosario.
Notes from the Underground will truly be an interdisciplinary approach to this material. My highest intention for us is to offer a wildly stimulating intellectual experience alongside practical and embodied nourishment with what comes up when we get into Pluto’s zone.

Mariola Rosario (she/her) is an astrologer, professor, artist and cultural producer from Borikén, the land currently known as Puerto Rico. Right now, she is living and experiencing our global collapse from the shores of Paris, France. Mariola loves collaborating with artists, intuitives, freaks, ghouls, old, new & curious souls, students, teachers, organizers, activists, ancestors, flowers, plants, animals, candles, tarot, planets and beyond.Mariola’s artistic practice and academic research interests often revolve around cross-disciplinary aesthetic production from literary and contemporary visual culture to critical theory, mythology, photography and autobiography, alternative pedagogy and communal learning processes. Her current main artistic expression is the love language of Astrology and the empowering conversations that arise from it.
The deeper she dives into this contemplative practice, the more she begins to consider Astrology as an Artistic Practice: a dialogue, a dance, a conversation between us, here on Planet Earth, and the divine Cosmos that houses all the delicious secrets of the Universe.
Mariola is a Scorpio Sun, Scorpio Rising, Capricorn moon and proud alumni of the Pluto in Scorpio generation aka millennials, aka “generation hex”. No stranger to the katabatic journey, Mariola was born with Pluto in the first house, a tender point that has always required very international nurturing, kisses and sweet surrender. Pluto is currently still transiting her natal moon.
I hope you love the episode. If you do, please leave some stars and a sweet review to brighten my day!

I share right away that the seasonal episode for Libra season is a little different this month because I offered a deep dive forecasting discussion of the Libra archetype over on Cosmic Cousins with host Jeff Hinshaw and my dear friend and collaborator Jonathan Koe. Please check it out on iTunes, Spotify, or PodBean.
Here I share some of my personal gnosis from working so deeply with Venus - Libra's planetary ruler - this year. This part of the episode will be especially meaningful to you if you listed to my Taurus season episode on The Emergent No when Venus was in Taurus as well as a the episode on Dumbo's Feather when Venus was in Leo. Now Venus is in Scorpio, opposite the former and square the latter.
I also get into my thoughts on the Mercury retrograde invitation - nestled as it is between a square to Pluto and an opposition to Chiron.
I share some downloads I've received on this from the Akashic space.
And finally I offer a collective tarot reading to support us with all we're learning this Libra season.

Wow wow wow this is such a rich, deep, and expansive conversation. I have admired Rachel's work for a couple of years now and in 2021 we have been growing a friendship in mutual admiration and respect. I'm so honored to be able to share her voice with you here on Moon to Moon.
Rachel Blodgett is an artist and poetic spellcrafter from Santa Rosa California. Working with botanical dyes and visual magic, she created the magical lingerie shop known as Serpent & Bow: serving as a channel to transformative and liberatory understandings of embodiment. Rachel also offers divinatory card readings through her tarot practice, House of Poets. She is devoted to courting Life as it moves through us: exploring the mystery of being here, surrendering to being human, and allowing artistic expression to deepen this exquisite spiritual experience in the material mundane.
Follow Serpent & Bow on Instagram and visit her online store to select the piece that's meant for you.
In the episode, we dive into Rachel's chart. She is a Scorpio Rising, Sag Moon, and Taurus Sun. We discuss how Serpent & Bow unfolded and how her process has been shifting in 2021 as Uranus has been informing her Sun.
Rachel is a remarkable storyteller. Not only is the content of what she says incredibly authentic, deep, and wise, but also the somatic quality of her voice is slow, sensual, and grounding. There are many laters of weight to her words. You will be truly entranced by her Scorpio-Taurus embodiment here.
Thank you, Rachel, for connecting with me at so many levels and sharing yourself here!

Woohoo - 42 has been my lucky number since I was a kid. I feel like this is reflected in this episode because I am so utterly fortunate to have magnetized the people you'll hear from here.
I have lucky Jupiter in the 3rd House of teaching meetups and my Part of Fortune in the 11th House of constellating people with shared dreams. I am blessed when it comes to magnetizing the right people! You know this if you join any of my groups. I bring in folks who are smart, creative, critical thinkers who are also old souls seeking something more mystical and heart-led from their lives. I bring in the clever and the witty, the earnest and the authentic, the kind and the good. I am so so so lucky.

Thank you thank you thank you to these 5 individuals for giving Moon to Moon your time and beautiful energy. Thank you also to all of you in the cohort from last year who are listening. We felt you with us!

It is with wild glee and pride that I share this new episode with esteemed guest: Jeff Hinshaw. Jeff (he/they) has been one of my favorite voices in astrology for years and I admire their work so deeply. What a big moment for Moon to Moon!
We go so deep here. Jeff was open and generous with his storytelling and fully just dropped IN with me.
We dove into their chart, especially covered Jeff's Aquarius Rising / Aquarius Sun invitation, the gifts of his Virgo Moon, and all that he's been learning with Saturn in Sag in the 11th with Uranus - both sextiling his Sun. If you don't know what that means, don't worry. Focus on the quality of what's shared and the energy of what is communicated.
Like all of us, Jeff has been going through lots of change lately. Remember that it's especially those with fixed signs for rising signs and fixed signs for Sun or Moon. I am sending you all my compassion. I hope Jeff's shares will inspire you to look for the larger cosmic vision coming to you right now.
Part of this change has been the gift of new downloads with the celestial bodies. We talk a lot about Jeff's recent gnosis with the asteroid goddesses Juno, Ceres, Vesta, and Pallas. He calls them the "fairies" in the chart - I LOVE this! Jeff is offering a new workshop on the asteroid goddesses starting September 6. I have already signed up!
Jeff's Mercury is at 13 Pisces where I have my Sun. When he talks, I light up! In my light, he speaks who he is! You might attune to this while you listen.
You can connect with Jeff on Instagram at @cosmic.couins and check out their podcast at Cosmic Cousins.

Welcome back to the next episode in this series Living the F**k Out of Your Chart. I hope you are loving these!
My guest is Kristin Layne Tucker. Kristin is an Emmy-nominated screenwriter and highly creative human being. I know Kristin as a client and student who is fearless about going to the deepest places in the chart. A Sag Rising, Aries Sun-Venus-Mars-Mercury, and Leo Moon, Kristin has learned to be an alchemist with so much FIRE in her chart.
Her life, as she shares, has been shaped by the Archer's desire to aim for a world she doesn't see yet. Her personal Aries stellium in the 5th House of creativity opposite the generational Jupiter-Saturn-Pluto in Libra in the 11th House of collectivity has been a powerful push-pull axis for her. She has been growing into how to serve her self-expression while also addressing and serving collective transformation and the calling in of new paradigms. We speak too about her Vesta-Moon conjunction in Leo in the 9th House. Tune in to hear about it!
The Emmy-nominated Kristin Layne Tucker began following her calling when she transferred from Georgetown University to the University of Southern California. It was there that she took her first screenwriting class and fell in love with the art form. After college, Kristin enrolled in graduate school at the University of Texas at Austin, where she received her M.A. in Screenwriting. Post-graduate school, she worked as an assistant to a television literary agent at WME while delving into her own writing pursuits. With the television scripts she wrote, Kristin was one of seven comedy semi-finalists in the Austin Film Festival, one of six comedy finalists for the Warner Bros. Television Writers’ Workshop and was one of eight writers accepted into NBC’s Writers on the Verge. Kristin’s small screen debut came as a writer on Disney Channel’s Dog With A Blog. Subsequently, she worked as a writers’ assistant on the Showtime series Black Monday, at Hartbeat Productions on a Kevin Hart project for Netflix, and as a writer on comedian Jo Koy’s animated series This Functional Family. Her most recent writing credits include season two of HBO’s groundbreaking, Emmy-nominated A Black Lady Sketch Show as well as season two of Golden Globe and Emmy-nominated The Flight Attendant on HBO Max. Kristin was also recently tapped to write a feature for Netflix, starring Jada Pinkett Smith.
In the summer of 2020, Kristin was the graduation speaker at our alma mater. This is a HUGE honor. Toward the end of our conversation, I read excerpts of her speech to reflect back to her - and to you the listener - the power of her voice. You can literally feel her chart inside these words! So moving!
Enjoy!

And for this second installment of LTFOOYC, I am giddy to share this rollicking conversation with the luminous Danica Boyce.
Danica Boyce is a pagan life coach and educator who guides folks to shed limitation and imperialism through genuine reconnection with the abundance innate in this world and ourselves. She specializes in embodied creativity, non-hierarchical mentorship, and the energetics of holding epic, love-fueled visions for humankind and the earth.
She began in academia, and after a masters in medieval studies and a teaching specialization in indigenous pedagogy, she left the conventional job market to pursue folklore podcasting and online teaching full time. She leads courses and coaches on social and personal transformation, money and career from a pagan, animistic worldview.
The most fun is when we get into how Danica’s chart reflects the stories we had been discussing. We talk about how Danica is a Scorpio Rising with Saturn at the Ascendant. She has Sun-Uranus in Sag in the 2nd house, Moon in Cancer in the 9th, and Jupiter in Capricorn in the 3rd.

It is my honor to introduce the first of a series of episodes under the very fun title: Living the F**k Out of Your Chart.
The origins of the phrasing are discussed in this episode, as Jonathan was the person who first said this as their intention for learning astrology in my astrology class Charting Your Course.
Jonathan and I met initially when they booked a series of astrology readings with me in 2019. Across 2020, Jonathan became one of my most active students and community members, and in 2021 Jonathan has become my trusted teaching collaborator. Jonathan is also the creator of the beautiful music here on Moon to Moon! They are also my very, treasured dear friend.
Jonathan is a queer multi-hyphenate mystic. Using the languages of music, astrology, tarot, energy, and statistics, Jonathan's work aims to empower fellow seekers through compassionate discernment, to nurture communities, and to shift our collective relationship to limitations.
You can find Jonathan on IG at @nate_qi and book readings on their website.
Join me and Jonathan for a free webinar on Living the F**k Out of Your Chart on Aug 5. If you see this after that date, you can still catch the replay for what will be a very juicy conversation.
Sign up from receive updates on Charting Your Course, which begins again September 1 and runs to mid-March. The course page will be ready very soon. I only open the doors to my astro class once a year - this is it! The course is a life-changing experience to teach you how to read your chart and learn the language of astrology. Only the people on this mailing list will have access to the Early Bird bonus.
If you enjoy this episode, please rate and review. Thank you so much!
In this special episode, I share an interview with my astrology teacher Adam Sommer.
Adam has been working in the realm of astrology for 13 years now. That's a long time! He is a trove of information and leaps between concepts and modalities with ease. Adam is a Virgo Rising with a Gemini Sun and Scorpio Moon. His mind is quick, sharp, and agile. He is a wordsmith, a trickster, and a storyteller. And he intuits deeply and bravely into the hidden and mysterious.
Before our conversation begins, I share some thoughts on teachers, teaching, learning, and influencing here in this Hierophant year (I define that in the episode) as a bridge to my talk with Adam.
In our conversation, we cover the following:
If you haven't already, please go find Adam Sommer through his podcast Holes to Heavens, at his website, through his Patreon community, and on writings on Medium.
If you enjoyed our conversation and/or you love this podcast, please rate and/or review it today. Thank you so much!

In this episode, I share the deep and powerful teachings of Leo, the Sun, & the Strength card. This is important because it's about heart-tuning for your vitality and radiant contentment. Aren't these what we're all really going for in this life?
Leo helps you lead from a place of passion and creativity in a way that feels generous and abundant to those receiving your majesty. And in this way, Leo teaches you how to serve as you lead and lead as you serve.
Leo heals scarcity.
Leo is central to your chart. Look to yours for the house where you have Leo and consider the themes of your Leo domain when listening.
We also discuss the particular thematics of this Leo season 2021. I hope you find it supportive to you as you live the astrology in real time!

Back when I started Moon to Moon, I had a dream guest list, and my guest this episode was on that list. It is my pleasure to share my conversation with Eryn Johnson.
Eryn Johnson (she/her) is a space holder, facilitator, creative, poet, witch, queer femme, and survivor. She hosts multiple offerings, including breath work and ritual circles, a creative support membership, a Patreon space, self-guided experiences for growing pleasure and embodiment, and teachings for healing and recovering from religious trauma.
Eryn hosts the popular podcast Living Open, which I've been listening to since 2018. Living Open is self-described as a podcast for mystics and seekers, with conversations on healing, magic, spirituality, witchcraft, ritual, meditation, tarot, and dismantling white supremacy and patriarchy. She has had an extraordinary guest line-up over the years, so it was my huge honor to be interviewed on the 222nd episode last week! Please check it out!
Here, Eryn and I talk about
- her story of starting Living Open in her early twenties and how she came up with that great name
- her Uranus-Neptune conjunction in Capricorn generational placement and how that chart invitation showed up for her in 2020
- loving her Scorpio stellium in the 3rd House, including Venus retrograde, and how that works for her
- being a full moon baby with a Libra Sun and Aries Moon
- how she used to resent her Aries Moon and how and why she now loves it
- looking ahead to her Saturn Return in Pisces in a couple of years
...and so much more. I hope you enjoy it!

It is with great joy and honor that I share this 31st episode because Moon to Moon gets to be the host space for the first ever podcast interview with Ashley Estabrook aka @witches4bernie!
Ashley Estabrook is the creator of Witches For Bernie, an Instagram account turned creative space for dreaming up a new tomorrow. Ashley's writing infuses her passions in a unique way, bringing together the parts of herself that weren't allowed to be connected in the past. Her work focuses on using magical tools, including tarot, astrology, and journaling, to shift perspectives around reparenting and inner child work. Recently expanding into the world of Patreon and embracing the student-teacher archetype, she has transformed her platform into a space where she shares the information that she learns and integrates with her professional background in mental health and the medical field. What started in January 2020 as a way to connect progressive witches on Instagram has grown into a magical world where you can find anything from tarot readings, to mutual aid fundraising, to ritual guides, to Bernie memes. Witches For Bernie is a space for alchemizing hope for our future, by processing our past and finding ways to feel magical and creative in our present.
As discussed, Ashley also created ritual oils and astro guides through her Etsy shop.
I have known Ashley in one way or another for nearly two years now. It has been a joy to watch her star rise as she launched her Insta space, which has become such an active and supportive community at the intersection of politics, tarot, astrology, and self-care. I deeply admire Ashley for the ways in which she shows up with such consistency for her passions and how she brings her whole self to her work. Thank you for joining me, Ashley!
My conversation with Ashley begins about 35 minutes into the episode. In the Introduction, I honor Mars in Cancer and share some of the ways it has been working through my life since it's been my Mars Return. Technically not over until it's over, Mars in Cancer has already blown me away. I am in awe of the magic of astrology to come through on its promises in ways we can never fully predict or control. It just happens, and I feel so held.
In the Intro, I also share how I've come to know Ashley. Ashley participated in Soft Strength in both 2019 and 2020, and as she shares, it was a transformative experience for her in a variety of ways that have directly influenced her bold moves and big changes over the last two years.
To learn more about Soft Strength: a transformational intensive for self-reclamation moon to moon, please check out the course page where you should be able to find everything you need to know. Early Bird Pricing is only available this weekend: June 4-6. And the only way to have the option for the discount is to be on the Early Bird list.
If you are feeling embroiled or embattled by the eclipses, please do check out my free webinar on eclipses that I led with Jonathan Koe. We have had a huge registration, continuing daily since the event last week, and have heard tons of positive feedback about it.
I hope you enjoy this episode, which was made with love for the Moon.
Thank you to Jonathan Koe for the gorgeous musical score and Angela George for the podcast art.
In this episode, I talk with my dear friend Natasha Levinger about a topic very near to my heart: healing the inner child. Learning about, connecting with, and caretaking my inner child has transformed my life. Natasha has helped me so much in my own journey here, both in one-on-one healing sessions and from her Inner Child Healing course and workshops.
Natasha and I discuss the following:
- how to know when a thought or fear is coming from your inner child and not your adult self
- how inner child healing helps us be better caretakers
- how to take an intellectual understanding of the inner child to an embodied relationship
- how the dynamics of the inner child, the inner loving parent, and the inner critic relate to Cancer and Capricorn

Such a pleasure to create and give this episode because I got to cover all of the topics and energies that I feel are "up" and "hot" right now and let them move through me in a way that felt like integration. It was just so good to talk about it all, which is inherently a Gemini desire.
Here I cover:
- Hot topics, salient energies, big currents happening right now
- Teachings on Gemini, including a discussion of The Twins as well as Gemini's ruling planet Mercury - my favorite Magician, Border-Crosser, and Trickster
- A reorientation: what's going on astrologically especially regarding larger cycles we're in currently
- Top Three things to know about Gemini astrology, from my perspective
Happy Birthday to all the Geminis Suns out there! And if you're Gemini Rising, I'm wishing you a blessed return to your first house topics.

Well well well... what a lunar cycle this has been. In order to help myself, and in the hopes that what's coming through for me will be helpful to you, I have a lot to share about what's been going on these last weeks.
In this episode, I guide us in contemplating the ways that rooting into our Taurus values have allowed us to assert a more clear and sacred No. There has been a lot of separating energy in this Mars-ruled cycle.
Here I propose that when the No emerges it is because Death is present somehow. We know something is off, wrong, dying, stagnant... and I argue that to disregard the No is to disengage from your pulsing, vibrating life force - your Yes. This is not necessarily easy though, because to become conscious of the No means to face the grief inherent in the truth that everything ends, because everything changes and life is by definition not static. Your No comes from your knowing that there is Death in not asserting it. It means you have the strength to face change.
This is being felt collectively. Just as I was first writing about this idea of No / Yes, I noticed similar messaging coming from people I respect such as Danica Boyce. It was a joy to witness her community exercise with a Week of No and a Week of Yes. Bravo!
In this episode, I also introduce a framework I'm calling Vulture Magic, inspired by the Brady Tarot version of Justice. Vultures feast on and clear what is dead in order to live and seed new life. We can learn from this. I discuss Vulture Magic at length in the episode. I'm finding a lot of inspiration here personally right now.
At the end of the episode, I share a tarot spread I'm calling "Your Emergent No: A Dark Moon Exercise for Self-Care." It is really best to hear the full guidance before trying, and then feel free to amend to your knowing. This section of the episode is really deep, and will be helpful whether or not you work with the tarot. You can use the prompts as an intuitive journaling exercise without cards.
Card 1: The Emergent No (Aries Separating)
Card 2: Why You Might Be Struggling to Act on Your No
Card 3: Your Ally / Teacher for Acting on Your No
Card 4: Foundational Support / Your Values Trying to Talk to You (Taurus Roots)
Card 5: Vulture Magic: The Past on Which You Feast
Card 6: Vulture Magic: What Will Change (and Grow) When You Listen and Act on Your No
Card 7: The Gifts and Fruits of Your Boundaries for Pollinating Your Garden (Gemini Magic)
It is my sincere desire that you will find strength, insight, and even solace in this practice and with the topics of this episode, a gift from my heart. The sound is a little glitchy but the content comes through.
If you enjoy what you hear and receive, please rate and review this podcast in exchange with me.

Thank you to Jonathan Koe for the music in this podcast. Thank you to Angela George for the artwork. I love you two!
This episode is a big UNVEILING: Moon to Moon's first podcast music! And from a very special creator, my student-teacher-client-friend-collaborator Jonathan Koe. Jonathan and I have had so much fun dreaming this into being. Jonathan named this particular piece "Pisces' Last Waltz," which of course I just LOVE!
In this episode, we attune to Taurus teachings: how Aries dreams of Taurus, Earth element, fixed sign qualities, the symbolism of the The Bull / Cow.
I spend extra time on the topic of Uranus in Taurus.
What I most want to talk about is The Hierophant as the card we associated with Taurus. As it's a Hierophant year (I explain), I think a lot about what that might mean for us. Jump to about 40 minutes in to go straight to this section.
Then I get into the astrology of the Taurus season 2021. I discus the primary astrological energies with which to play and notice.
Sending my warmest birthday wishes to all the Taurus Suns out there!

In this episode, I share:
- why I resist the spring equinox until I'm on the other side of it
- teachings on Aries to deepen into the sign's wisdom
- my take on the keynote invitations for this Aries season
- Mars and Venus, Aries and Libra, Aries and Taurus, Emperor and Empress themes
- big dates to note and why
- my Helm of Awe framework for your imagination
... and more. I almost didn't offer this episode because I'm consolidating back into myself right now with my new course starting at the full moon ahead. But I couldn't not speak about Aries. I love Aries. Happy Birthday, Aries Suns! I hope you enjoy this episode.

The last in a series of episodes on the elements, this latest Moon to Moon episode holds teachings and conversation about working with the element of Earth in your life and in your magical offering to the world.
My honored guest for this effort is Virgo Sun Luis Mojica of Holistic Life Navigation.
For reasons that will be apparent when listening here, I knew that Luis would be my first choice for a contemplation on Earth as soon as I dreamed of having one.
Luis's direct bio: "My name is Luis Mojica. I teach people how to release stress & trauma through listening to their bodies. I am a trained somatic therapist, whole food nutritional counselor, & herbalist. My work is a result of my own journey to heal complex PTSD & illness. We can connect to our bodies through listening, to the Earth through eating and feeling, and to ourselves through mindful awareness. From this place, we can heal anything."
On so many levels, Luis is talking and teaching about the element of Earth: food / nutrition / eating, body listening / knowing / awareness, herbal medicine, somatic therapy, forest bathing, grounding practices, and connecting with the planet in relationship.
As I share in the intro, working with Earth for me has been an important piece of my own healing process because I was once acutely disassociated from my body. My body was always a problem. Being here in this lifetime, being fully present with awareness and connection, deep listening to my body's needs: all of that used to be very scary for me, so I found safety in escaping. Because Luis's work and my own story involve healing trauma, please be advised and give thought to whether or not you have the capacity to receive this episode today.
In my view, Luis has become something of a living Chiron, which we discuss in our conversation. To learn more about Chiron, I recommend starting with this Liz Greene article titled “Wounding & the Will to Live.” I also recommend my mentor Adam Sommer's episode on Chiron in Aries (the sign Chiron is currently in as well as my own writing on Chiron from the Living the Signs: Virgo book, a snippet of which you can find here.

My intention with this latest Moon to Moon episode was to open up a conversation about working with the element of Water in your life and in your magical offering to the world.
My honored guest for this effort is Cancer Sun zaneta sykes. I've known zaneta about two years now. We are colleagues as witches who both create in order to serve, and we mutually witness and celebrate one another's growth. For reasons that will be apparent when listening here, I knew that zaneta would be my first choice for a contemplation on Water as soon as I dreamed of having one.
zaneta sykes is a sound ritualist, listening educator, and tarot reader living in Brooklyn. At the core of their art is a deep desire to remember how to live in interconnectedness. Whether that is humxns connecting to the land or to one another, they believe sound is a powerful medium for building connectivity. The bulk of their artwork is meditations and sound rituals, where they draw upon memory and weave ritual and sound to create community performance experiences that transform the way participants hear and connect to the world.
As with the other elemental episodes in this series, I anchor us into the themes for Water in the introductory solo segment. To jump straight to my conversation with zaneta, please jump to around 29 minutes in.
Topics explored on this episode:
- Water, fluidity, and receptivity
- Water as conduit and its relationship to context
- Water, ancestral memory, and understanding where you've been
- Our shared Aries Rising with Mars in Cancer placements
- Knight of Cups and finding the generative, creative impulse from the "raw spaces" of pain, crying, and sacred rage
- Opening realms with non-doing by dropping into deeper listening
- Shifting from a Capricornian form of working toward a more non-linear, non-hierarchical Aquarian approach right now, and how that can be scary and exhilarating at the same time
- Radical liberation with Uranus in Taurus teaching us how our psychic perceptions and creativity can be nourished by having our basic needs met and bring able to receive financial security
I loved this episode and I hope you enjoy it too.

My intention with this episode is to open up space for a conversation about working with the element of Fire in your life and in your magical offering. Who else to help me explore this topic than the radiant Heidi Rose Robbins?! An Aries Sun and Leo Rising, Heidi is a force of inspiration in the field of astrology.
Heidi grew up in Fargo, North Dakota with an astrologer father and an architect mother, learning the zodiac with her ABC’s. She holds an MFA in acting, has published two books of poetry and just released a new book series of Astrological Love Letters for each sign of the zodiac. She has performed twice for TED X in Los Angeles. Heidi has also led Radiant Life Retreats for over 10 years and has a thriving astrology practice with clients from around the world. Heidi lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two children.
Please find Heidi at her wonderful podcast The Radiance Project, on Instagram at @heidiroserobbins to receive your daily Moon Notes and other wisdom, and check out her readings, publications (including her series of Love Letters for each of the 12 signs), and teachings at her website www.heidirose.com.
As in the AIR episode, the first part of this one is me grounding us into definitions and introducing aspects of the topic of Fire that I wanted to share as a way into and to prepare for the conversation with Heidi. If you'd like to jump straight to that interview, the time stamp is around 27 minutes.
Don't miss the final ten minutes where I get into aspects of Fire that aren't mentioned anywhere else in the episode, particularly those that have to do with Sag and Jupiter.
The incredible poem Heidi shares is titled "Burn" from her poetry book Wild Compassion.
The psychosynthesis thinker we discuss is Roberto Assagioli.

In this episode, I also refer to The Norse Shaman by Eva Rysdyk when I read from my Living the Signs: Sagittarius workbook.

My intention with this episode was to open up a conversation about working with the element of Air in your life and in your magical offering to the world. The first part of the episode is my own exploration of the subject and then the second half holds a lively conversation with my guest Natasha Levinger of Highest Light Healing.
Topics that came up include:
- Healing after years of gaslighting
- Boundaries with the Inner Critic and with other people's stories for you
- Working with brain chemistry
- Swords cards
- The analytical mind versus the intuitive mind
- Mercury and the mind
- Hearing wisdom from your spirit guides
- Constellating your community with the howl of your clear, unique voice
- Being highly "Transpersonally aware" when you're both very Aquarian and very Piscean
I adore and hold deep respect for my guest Natasha Levinger. Natasha is an energy reader, healer and spiritual coach. In her practice she works with her clients to help them heal trauma from their chakras and energy fields. She includes modes of therapeutic models such as Inner Child Healing and Mindful Self Compassion so that clients can continue their healing on their own. She also helps people by communicating to their pets, giving healings to them and communicating with those who have passed on. Through her practice, Highest Light Healing, she looks forward to helping even more people through classes, one on one sessions and meditations.

“I am an excitable person who only understands life lyrically, musically, in whom feelings are much stronger as reason. I am so thirsty for the marvelous that only the marvelous has power over me. Anything I can not transform into something marvelous, I let go. Reality doesn't impress me. I only believe in intoxication, in ecstasy, and when ordinary life shackles me, I escape, one way or another. No more walls.” - Anaïs Nin, Pisces Sun-Jupiter & Venus
In this episode I begin by discussing why and how learning about being a Pisces Sun changed my life. (I get a little weepy, I admit it.) I do this as a way to invite you to attuning to the 12th sign. Then share a review of where we are in the astrology of 2021 right now as we move into Pisces season. This is meant to ground you and help you re-orient to the present. After that, I share a review of the key dates and energetic invitations of the Piscean season to support you in looking ahead and relating to whatever comes up.
Finally, I close by offering a 20-minute lesson on Pisces from my 2019 Pisces-themed course Neptune Vibes, the first class I ever taught on astrology! It has the raw passion and intimacy with the material that you have when you teach a class for the first time.
Whether you consider yourself very Piscean, or whether the archetype feels far away for you, I hope you enjoy the episode! I hope it feels like balm in the cold.

In the episode I introduce a framing device that I’ve been noodling on for nearly a year to help me conceptualize the relationship I have to my magic: how I show up to my life and invite in what I want or something even better.
To learn more about The Magician’s Table at my website, and register for the upcoming webinar, click here.
The inspiration for this naming is (no shocker!) The Magician card in the tarot. In many renditions of the card, we see a figure with one hand up holding a wand to the sky to channel information from divine and bring it down through the body and onto the earthly plane though the other hand.
Before the figure, we see a wooden table. On it, there are four elemental tools:
To be a reader of any kind, whether you are a creator, artist, or wordsmith in service to your clients or an intuitive guide, therapist, or spiritual coach in the work of healing, the Magician’s Table can be a supportive framing device for cultivating ever deeper intimacy with your tools.
For this I have found to be true: closer and closer attunement to your tools will assist you in emerging more fully as a reader, creator, and guide of any kind.
One of basic tenets (that which we hold as true) of a magical life is that the inner world is a mirror for the outer world, and the outer world is a mirror for the inner world. Thus, personal practices of attunement to tools are essential to your professional growth. And likewise, the expansion of external practices with clients and increased visibility in open spaces like Instagram will bring you into more and more need for personal healing.
Through the framework of The Magician’s Table, which I will be teaching about extensively on my podcast (with exciting interviews with magical people forthcoming - EEP!), in the webinar, and as a rite of passage in our workshop circle, I will share how working with the elemental tools of Fire, Air, Water, and Earth can support you in personal and professional expansion and towards a self-claiming of this identity and calling.
At the end of March, I will hold space for a 10-week rite of passage for those who wish to go deeper here. In the space of this iteration of The Magician’s Table, participants will be initiated in and through a process of integration in order to name, know, and identify as seer, mystic, and reader. I have so much to say for this cycle. It is really important and really big.
Herein I share:
- How to attune to Aquarius in yourself and around you: Aquarius as Transpersonal Fixed Air and what that means, Aquarius as the Water Bearer and The Star in the tarot, on Saturn and Uranus as ruling teachers for us this cycle
- Considering Aquarius and how it relates to the personal and collective nervous systems, and what this has to do with calling in a healing revolution
- (50 minutes in) A 5-card collective tarot reading for the coming season and how to work with the energies, pulled from the Brady Tarot
- (1 hour 4 minutes in) A reading of the moment the Sun crosses into Aquarius as a foreteller of what the season will bring
- (1 hour 19 minutes in) Dates of key astrological alignments and how to work with these energies in your lived experience
- How to connect the astrology to larger patterns of story that you're living
- How to work with the upcoming Full Moon in Leo and then the New Moon in Aquarius
- Big dates ahead, especially 1/20, 1/23, 2/10, and 2/17, and how to set the heart and spirit to readiness

It's 2021: Year of The Hierophant! And since 2 + 0 + 2 + 1 = 5, that means it's a 5 year. In the tarot, 5 is associated with The Old Crow / Crone known as The Hierophant. The Hierophant is an energy that invites you into deeper connection to your inner voice, truth, and sacred wisdom, and to become more conscious about and congruent with how your own felt, embodied truth moves through your throat. Thus, it felt so right that this morning - here at the start of the New Year - I received the insight to "Speak Your Voice."
In this episode, my topic is focused on the art of divination. In this episode:
- I define the term and talk about why humans have enjoyed divination for centuries
- I discuss why I've had resistance to aligning myself with the term publicly, which allows me to tease out what I consider skillful from unskillful forms of divination
- I flow over with loving words for divination and why I am so excited to share this passion with you
- I share tips and suggestions for tightening your practices with divinatory tools
- I speak to the fact that not everyone is always in the frame of mind and body to work with divination, and how to know when it's safe to go there
- I give some advice for vetting a reader if you don't practice divination yourself
- I give us a four-card tarot reading because... it's an episode on divination!
I hope you enjoy receiving this as much as I loved creating it for you. I recorded when Neptune was at the eastern horizon so that this great teacher of my Piscean Mercury could watch over my words and expand their possibilities. This episode has two parts. Please forgive the occasional lawnmower noise. The content was too good to delete and re-record.
First, I offer a reorientation to various astrological cycles we've been in, sharing questions to ask yourself and ways to attune to the energy invitations we've been in. The goal here to help you know what you've been learning, identify patterns, name your stories, and recognize where you are within them.
And then, I go through the major astrological dates and their vibes, from Nov 21 when the Sun enters Sag through Dec 20 just before Capricorn season begins. This is to help you attune to what's coming in so you can be present to it and work with how it feels.
In the episode, I mention the work of Luis Mojica and Carolyn Elliott.

We don't need astrology to tell us that the coming four weeks will carry a LOT. We all feel it coming.
If astrology offers us a reflection and contextualization of our lived experience, if this old ancient language can help us understand and move through this specific moment in time, then let us experiment with the possibility that studying the astrology of the moment can be nourishing, empowering, and resonant. Will you join me?
This is by necessity brief. I could have covered so much more here. But I have done that elsewhere. For an in-depth look at Scorpio, please check out my 160-page workbook Living the Signs: Scorpio or my oral teachings on the sign in The Medicine of Autumn audio series. See also my previous episode with Lara Veleda Vesta, which is very Scorpionic in nature (even though astrology is never mentioned!).

Please reach out if you have any questions. Sending warm wishes.
It is with great pleasure and pride that I share my first interview on Moon to Moon. My intention with this interview has been to honor and celebrate the work of a teacher I greatly admire and respect, and I was thrilled and grateful when Lara Veleda Vesta said Yes to my request for her conversation.
I begin with a contemplation on teachers, and what makes for a great teacher. This lasts about 14 minutes if you want to jump straight to hearing Lara.
During the interview, Lara shares her incredible story as a way to ground us in understanding how she came to the key phrases, healing frameworks, and teaching methods that have been profoundly shifting for me and so many others. We go really deep, and we discuss difficult, "scary" topics. Please review the themes below to be sure you are in a mental-emotional place to listen without too much triggering. I recommend listening on a walk or in a safe space, so that you are able to receive without distraction. You might enjoy lighting a candle to signal your preparedness.
Topics include: embracing surrender and non-linearity, de-colonizing one's spiritual practice, letting go of who we once were and loving who we are now, living in a culture without proper rites of passages, anchoring through illness and disease, learning to trust our "unverifiable personal gnosis" while still holding deep respect for academic standards and primary source evidence, embracing animism as a way of life, healing the "witch wound" and how it affects everything and everyone on this planet, loving the idea of teachers as portal-openers, and much more. We close with the question: what does it mean for you to live "moon to moon?" I love her answer.
You can follow Lara on Instagram at @veledavesta. Check out her website laravesta.co and her deeply nourishing Patreon community. I also encourage you to check out her Moon Divas Guidebook and her learning space The Wild Soul School. I encourage all listeners to check out her upcoming Ancestral Connection class.
To work more intimately with the themes of our conversation, please order my Living the Signs: Scorpio workbook. Similar themes are covered in different ways in this podcast's namesake workbook: Moon to Moon.
In this episode I talk about...
- how listening opens up humility and deeper learning
- working with the will in order to serve what we really care about
- co-creation with intuition and the non-human
- The Magician's Table as our given set of tools and circumstances, always subject to shifts
- channeled loving guidance to sustain us
- how to learn from autumn as a teacher
- the astrology of Libra 2020 and how we got here (with key dates!)
If you would like to learn from me, please check out my new offering: The Medicine of Autumn, a series of oral teachings designed to contemplate change, transformation, and visioning through the lens of astrology, myth, and the tarot. I need to speak with you about the planet Mars, and I've got horoscopes.
Herein, I propose that now is the opportune time for a kind of sacred pause to reassess, re-align, and receive insight. It's a time to return home to yourself for a little while to understand all that you've been learning and get intimate with how you're changing as the world changes around you.
Let me propose to you that we're in a threshold space to prepare the way for a future that would like you to become more approachable. And Mars is now the teacher who wants to dominate the style of this invitation. The first part of this episode presents the nature of the energies of the year, with special focus on the remainder of 2020.
The second 1.5 hours offers a horoscope (time-reading) for each sign. Please focus on your rising sign first, sun sign second. These horoscopes are meant to be invitations to help you work with the energies most skillfully. Like any horoscope, these present only a partial view of the whole because we're not accounting for all of your planets and key points. However, I do believe in the value of horoscopes, and it felt like a supported time to offer them.
In the last 5-10 minutes, I close with a tarot reading for all of us. It's beautiful. Thank you, tarot!

I go pretty full-on mystic in this episode. What I sought to do was bring what I had been intellectually inspired to consider - the liminal space between Taurus & Gemini, between our values and our choices, between the healing speech of The Hierophant and the reaching hands of The Lovers - and connect these to what I've been working on intuitively healing from a past life that is strong in this one.
All will be revealed and defined within the episode. Know that you don't need a working knowledge of astrology or the tarot to gain or learn from this conversation.
The title comes from a message I received in meditation before recording. I discuss it at the end. Hope you'll stick around for this treasure.

The books I reference in the episode are Linda Sussman's The Speech for the Grail: A Journey towards Speaking that Heals and Transforms, and my own workbooks on Living the Signs. I reference the work of my intuitive teacher Deborah Kremins as well as that of my friend and healer Natasha Levinger.
I cover a lot here. Below is it the rudimentary order of topic. Know that I define all terms and consider my approach to this language very open for beginners. My goal is to always be understood, relevant, and useful to our actual lived experience.
-Why Mercury cycles are helpful and fascinating when you starts tracking yours. Yesterday’s cazimi marks the middle point of a cycle that started February 25 when Mercury first met the Sun while retrograde in Pisces. The story began then, and took a big turn the week of March 9 when Mercury stationed direct. Now the story is moving fast and will begin to gain big picture over the course of next week as Mercury pulls away from the Sun and becomes an evening star.
-The Full Moon in Scorpio is May 7, and this one wants us to do some emotional processing of WTH has been going on for us. I’m always down for Scorpio’s real talk. The purpose of this entire episode is to help myself and anyone listening to process through what HAS been happening, what IS happening, and what will likely be the coming energies to process through.
-I discuss the current energies using the framework of the quarantine home as a fishbowl. From a fishbowl, fish have a pretty poor understanding of the big picture and a fairly distorted view of reality. I share how the planet Neptune plays a big role in the goings-on right now, which is not a great energy for clear sight or discernment.
-If astrology is here to help us understand how to work with the energies available to us in the most conscious and skillful way possible (my take), then what is the invitation right now? I discuss how Saturn as a drying principle can be really useful. With Saturn, we have to talk about boundaries, and boundaries are really necessary right now. So, I get into boundaries here. And I talk about the benefits of sobering and drying out in order to regain clearer sight in a time of Neptune and a lot of coming retrogrades.
-The medicine of Taurus is really centering, rooting, and slowing right now. In honor of this lunar cycle in Taurus, I give a teaching on how Taurus can support you like a ballast. In times like these, there can be a sense of “What’s the point?” regarding intentions and astro feels. My argument is that what we need is to go to the very marrow, the essence of the sign energy to receive its most present, near, basic nourishment. And I share these here.
-At the heart of Taurus is the need to get honest about our values, because our values determine our definition of abundance. Right now, we’re in a time of shifting values as things change within and around us, and thus our definition of abundance is changing. It’s empowering to get clear about this.
-At around an hour into the episode, I discuss how Taurus medicine, which has to do with deep immanent presence in the body, helps us heal from trauma. I do not describe anything that causes trauma specifically, and I stay high level, but note the TRIGGER WARNING if you don’t want to hear anything about trauma. You will know when I’m starting that conversation because it’s about the Queen of Pentacles, and so when you hear me start talking there, you can bump 10 minutes ahead.
-Finally, I give a tarot reading for the invitation of the present. It’s a rich reading that I am still intaking. I hope you will stick around and find the message supportive to you.
So yeah, a lot here! Ha! Thank you for giving the episode a listen. If you enjoyed it, please rate, subscribe, or review. This really helps me and is a beautiful act of reciprocity. I’d love to have you join my community at brittenlarue.com, or following me on IG @brittenlarue. In the episode, I reference my Taurus workbook, which you can check out on my website. I have a handful left. I read from the sumptuous and thoughtful guidebook of the Dalí Tarot, written by tarot scholar Johannes Fieberg.
In this mini-episode, I share a favorite passage from Rilke's Letters to a Young Poet about embracing uncertainty. His words create a resonant introduction to the idea of being in the liminal space between two ways of being that is the experience of being in The Tower. In the tarot, The Tower is the card we associate with Mars, ruler of Aries and Scorpio. Here, under this Aries Moon at the end of a wild and gnarly lunar cycle in Aries that has been collectively and individually very Tower, we can honor all that has shifted, all we've learned, all we've felt, and surrender it over.
Notably, in the tarot The Tower is the card that bridges between the liberating potential of unchaining from The Devil and the profoundly regenerating invitation of The Star. We have to "live the questions now" - as Rilke suggests - in order to reach that deep healing. To make things more interesting, The Devil is the card associated with Capricorn, and The Star is the card associated with Aquarius, the two adjacent signs currently holding much of the intense Tower-like churning energy of 2020. There is so much more I could have gotten into with this topic, but I desired to keep it simple and to the most relevant point of the now.
I hope you enjoy it! In honor of loving reciprocity, please rate and review if you are feeling support from this podcast.

In this one, I tease out a thought that came to me: the cosmos is not in quarantine. When we give ourselves enough space to sense into the vastness of cosmic consciousness, we access the truth that we're in a cycle of infinite cycles. Attuning to the cosmic and the primal parts of self, we can more easily listen to this moment, this liminal space outside our normal, and be awake to the massive radical potential for growth and learning right now. We can orient towards the person we are dreaming into being, the person waiting for us on the path that emerges between grief and wonder.
Within the episode, I share a tarot pull I did for us with the prompts: What is the medicine of the liminal moment? How do we receive this medicine? What is the gift of this medicine? I am posting the image of the cards on my IG feed @brittenlarue if you'd like to see it. That deck is the Mountain Dream Tarot.
I also speak to the hot energies specific to this week of April 12. Since "the cosmos is not in quarantine," we can always turn to the astrology for help calling on our most wise self in any given moment.
I quote from the book Cosmos & Psyche by Richard Tarnas.
I refer to Martin Shaw's Soundcloud reading "We Are In the Underworld and We Haven't Figured it Out Yet." When I refer to it, I called it "We Are in the Underground, and We Don't Even Know It." Please forgive my human error there.
You can learn more about my new class Charting Your Course at my website: brittenlarue.com.
In this episode, I share how I approach and teach working with the New Moon, and especially this particular one, based on the astrology of this precarious present moment. I tap into the astrology of now and into next week to help us set intention and mindset going into this new momentous lunar cycle.
Then I swing into the symbolic wisdom teachings of Aries, followed by its ruler Mars. These transmissions used to be paid offerings, and I'm happy and proud to begin offering these here, for everyone.
Sending big love and reckless hope! Happy New Moon!
In honor of the spring equinox, I speak about why and how embracing cycles helps me move through change, uncertainty, fear, and the unknown. I offer suggestions for working with this equinox portal and readying for Aries energy. Next week, I will speak more deeply about Aries with the New Moon.
I also offer a guided meditation to help you ground, move out fear, and call your energy back in right now,. You can go straight to that at around 54 minutes in. Do this as often as feels supportive.
My first podcast episode ever, Fear is Not the Frequency came together as I sat with a variety of thoughts and feelings in light of the new reality that we're in right now. I created some expansive space for myself to sit in long meditation and listen for guidance. I captured what came through in the recording that is this episode.
The episode has four main sections: 1) why and how I'm embracing quarantine as a nourishing hermitage, 2) the astrology of 2020 as it relates to COVID-19, 3) wisdom to help us that I just learned from a past life regression, and 4) some rich tarot medicine to guide us. Cumulatively, what I offer here is ultimately about calling in our most wise inner elder.
I hope you will find this of service to you. I hope it will be a balm. I hope it will help you center and hear your own inner guidance as well. Take care of yourself.
