The coterie awoke the night after Doris left and began to plan a regicide in earnest. Val prioritized getting Will groceries, Evangeline learned that Teddy had indeed embraced himself, and Matthew Theobald promised to release him and allow the couple to leave New Haven once he becomes prince. Everett was awoken by the new Venture clan leader, Vinlynn Von Kindred, who offered his support in exchange for details of the treasonous plan. When Doris had a vision of precisely how to take out the Right Hand of Lilith, the coterie jumped into action. Reproducing Doris’s vision, Everett slammed into the Right Hand with his car, Val pummeled him, Evangeline shot him, and Doris decided to end it all by diablerizing him. With her new powers, Doris saw that she must leave New Haven to keep the wider Pyramid away, and after tearful farewells, set out with Margery’s head for company. The coterie encountered Dylan Zane, who refused to give up anything incriminating, but when he was uncooperative, Doris entered his mind and gained all of his access codes. After quickly perusing his computers, Evangeline confirmed Teddy’s direction on the CCTV and Val uncovered the Pyramid 2.0’s plan to eliminate its investors, including the Prince. Everett offered this intel to the Prince as a big win, but Toasta Rosa was skeptical and still livid with the sheriff.

Everett and Doris interrogated Pyramid 2.0 sales rep Paul Wilson, who quickly divulged that the new Pyramid headquarters was at the arcade, Chuckless Cheese. Evangeline accompanied them to look for further evidence of Teddy’s whereabouts, Val convinced Madre to help them deal with the remaining Tremere, and when they all rushed into the arcade, the Brujah made quick work of intimidating everyone and securing the first two floors. But will Dylan Zane surrender so easily?

As the coterie surveyed the bloody scene, Everett deduced that the more powerful Tremere had all been killed, leaving the Pyramid 2.0 with only Dylan Zane and his brand new recruits. They returned to the station, Doris holding Margery’s head, Evangeline refusing to work and insisting on only searching for Teddy, and Val with orders to enlist the help of the Brujah to find the remaining Tremere. Will they extract the location of the Pyramid’s new headquarters from the only member they have in custody?

The coterie took their final desperate swings at their foes. Val was bitten by mosquitoes into torpor, Evangeline inadvertently turned the swarm on herself, and Everett cleverly used pepper spray and the sprinkler system to finish them off. Meanwhile, in the sky, Doris used her final well of blood within her to frenzy and dealt the killing blow to Lucius Balefire. Facing Lucius Balefire with a hostage and a swarm of mosquitos, the coterie had to act quickly. Everett wanted to talk, but Val immediately flung Pentecost’s body at Margery to get her clear, and Margery did not survive. Doris successfully stabbed Lucius with the Shaft, but he grabbed her and took off with her upward into the sky. On the ground, Evangeline tried to reason with the swarm but instead they turned on Val, who quickly fell into torpor. How much more destruction will Lucius wreak before he finally expires?

With the Shaft of Belated Dissolution complete, it was only a matter of time before Lucius Balefire would arrive. Everett relented and let Doris hold the shaft to take the first strike, Evangeline encountered a vengeful mosquito, and the coterie soon found themselves in a firefight and pinned inside the building, with Val carrying an unconscious Pentecost. Inevitably, they came face to face with Balefire, a figure composed of thousands of mosquitos, and a familiar hostage. Will Doris give in to Lucius to save Margery?

The coterie have created the shaft and await Lucius Balefire’s arrival! Evangeline left Troy to find security footage of Teddy at the hospital before joining the rest of her coterie, Everett and Val made sure Red Cell were in position outside the ritual site before they went inside to guard the room where the magic was taking place, and Doris successfully created the shaft of belated dissolution, ensuring Lucius Balefire is on the way. But will this trap kill the Pyramid 2.0’s oldest vampire, or will the shaft be turned against its makers?

As Doris continued to construct the Shaft of Belated Dissolution, the rest of the coterie made final preparations. Everett negotiated with Red Cell to provide protection during Doris’s ritual and requested Joslyn St. James for extra security, Val was agitated by the revelation that Teddy sought to sire himself with Sheriff Cross’s blood, and at the hospital, Evangeline left a letter for Dylan Zane and put Troy on obtaining CCTV footage of Teddy’s departure. Can Doris complete the shaft or will it all be for naught?

The coterie is running out of time to enact their plan. Evangeline began priming the Clan leaders for the impending coup against the Prince, Val received a gift of silver bullets from Matthew Theobald, Everett secured a building in the Gangrel quarter for Doris to work, and she set out to create the Shaft of Belated Dissolution undisturbed. With the Prince convinced to receive the weapon in person, Theobald planted a GPS tracker on the handle. Now that Teddy has stolen the late Sherriff Cross’s blood, will he return as Val’s blood-sibling?

Returning from the club, a drunk Evangeline told Val how she had secretly fed off of Teddy when she was first embraced, a secret that Val was compelled to reveal when Teddy called in the favour she owed him. The next morning, Teddy had left town, seemingly to become kindred himself. Back at the station, Doris told Everett that the Left Hand is nearby, and Everett was reluctant to look for Teddy when they had more urgent priorities. Will Matthew Theobald’s unexpected arrival help the coterie’s plans?

Val escorted Evangeline to the club Sinful Pleasures, where Evangeline immediately got drunk and danced the night away, while Val kept careful watch. At the station, Doris wrote up her findings from the Right Hand’s journal and concluded that that they should all just be patient, and Everett found the dossier to be full of enough information about the clan leaders to gain leverage on any one of them. To atone for the coterie’s general ineptitude, the Prince called Everett to demand a “big win” in the next two days or else Everett would be punished severely, Doris discovered that the Right Hand had plans yet to be enacted and that the Left Hand of Lilith was still active nearby, Evangeline’s composure finally broke when the sheriff revealed that he had raised the stakes and invited the Prince to see a “huge win” in the next three days, and now she and Val are on their way to a club to get Evangeline drunk.

The coterie returned to the station in the aftermath of their various bestial compulsions. Doris realized that the journal she found belonged to the Right Hand, Evangeline rushed to finish her report so she could finally go home, Val once again discussed with Everett the unique challenges they face when they can’t drain people, and Everett discovered that the dossier from Horatio’s room contained a trove of information on the cult as well as the clans and their leaders. But will it be enough to help them take down their enemies?

At the Malkavian headquarters, Val remained trapped in her violent compulsion. In the ensuing tussle, Everett accidentally killed Sam Buttwise, but was saved from retribution when Voticia Maddama used the situation to seize power for herself. At the rec centre, Doris was struck by a need to cause harm, and mesmerized Evangeline into burying herself in the corpse pile, at which point the compulsion ended, and a furious Evangeline emerged. Will the incessant in-fighting finally destroy the coterie?

Back at the Malkavian headquarters, Val contended with her own beast. Everett tried to placate her, but when Val moved to attack Sam Buttwise, Everett stepped in and found himself pushed through a wall by his deputy. Will the coterie overcome their beasts in time to salvage what’s left of the night?

While Val and Everett continued their investigation at the Malkavian headquarters, Doris and Evangeline debated how to get the clan leaders on their side as they returned to the recreation centre in search of evidence that might have been missed. When inside, Doris’s beast was consumed with paranoia and she sought refuge at the bottom of the corpse pile, where she followed a vision to retrieve a mysterious journal. Evangeline managed to pull her out, but Doris looked up and only saw Horatio.

The coterie decided to divide and conquer. While Doris and Evangeline made their way back to the recreation centre to gather more evidence, Val and Everett investigated the Malkavian headquarters. Val was stuck with new clan leader Sam Buttwise and was forced to apologize to him for having unlawfully detained him. Everett, meanwhile, searched Horatio’s office and quarters, and when Val finally rejoined him, they discovered a secret compartment with millions of dollar in gold bars. Will Doris and Evangeline have similar luck?

With Lilith’s Right Hand at large, the coterie deliberated their next steps. Doris relayed the prophesied danger surrounding the Val Miller Family Protection Building, Val confirmed that the building’s security measures were intact, Evangeline remained afraid and uncertain of how to best protect everyone, and Everett consulted with Barty about whether diablerizing the Right Hand would be a viable option. Val and Evangeline lost his trail in a parking lot and realized he’d disappeared further into town, Doris tasted his spilt blood and confirmed that he had diablerized other elder vampires, the highest crime, and Everett was berated by the Prince, who decided—without evidence—that Lilith must be disguised as another clan leader. As the Right Hand began to address the crowd, Everett declared him under arrest as Val cuffed him. Immediately, the Right Hand commanded his Chosen to kill the town, as the bodyguards released grenades of silver nitrate and vanished. Everett tackled a grenade, Evangeline set Good Boy upon their invisible foes, and Doris tried, but could not mesmerize someone as evil as the Right Hand, and he broke free. Can they catch him before he disappears?

Though Doris was perplexed by her tarot readings, the coterie decided to use the press conference at The Pyramid HQ to publicly test the false Horatio’s blood and reveal him as the Right Hand of Lilith. Val strong-armed her way past bodyguards and led them inside, Evangeline worked with Good Boy to sense silver near the stage, and Everett identified the Right Hand and his possible remaining chosen ones. After realizing that Horatio Sundrop was actually the Right Hand of Lilith in disguise, Doris implored them to destroy both him and Lucius Balefire with her Staff of Dissolution, Everett questioned the risks of facing two elders, but Val pointed out that they could defeat them with enough preparation. If the coterie can prove that Horatio isn’t himself live at the Pyramid’s press conference, they might be able to turn the town against him, but only if they Prince isn’t already involved.

Everett and Val were staggered to find the small swimming pool room filled with a hundred corpses in various states of decay, along with one table, one chair, but two glasses. When the coterie regrouped, together with the other evidence that Doris and Evangeline had put together, they finally realized that the two glasses were for the Right Hand of Lilith, flesh-crafted to look like Horatio and his puppet. But they can’t tell anyone if they want to keep any chance of surprise.

Doris saw in her mind’s eye the disturbing and violent rituals that had recently been performed within and deduced that Horatio Sundrop might be the Right Hand, Val warned the sheriff against implicating Horatio without hard evidence, and Everett sent Evangeline away before she could witness a gruesome scene. Following the demise of the cultist during interrogation, Val and Evangeline stepped out to clear their heads. Doris sought out Michael Arden’s expertise, and—in a surprise connection with Ben’s spirit—they learned that Ben’s sire must be very powerful and were led to the ritual site, a dilapidated community recreation centre that Everett heard had frightened even the Loyalists. After the coterie’s captive was given an IV drip to heal, and Everett’s interrogation failed, Doris mesmerized him into confessing that he had been embraced by the Children of Lilith, but did not know their plan. Evangeline discovered that the new kindred were likely addicts, and as Val staked him again to pause their questioning, they immediately realized that he had resisted healing, such was his devotion to the cult. The coterie met Michael Arden, an unconventional Tremere who claimed to be sent by the magic to help bring down the Pyramid. Although Val could corroborate enough of his story to quell her own suspicions, and Evangeline trusted Doris’s ability to compel the truth out of him, Everett remained doubtful. The coterie pursued Troy’s captors. Evangeline spotted Troy being thrown out of an SUV, bloody and staked, Val rushed him to the hospital, striking a kindred bystander in her haste, Everett arrived soon after, furious that Val and Evangeline hadn’t responded to his calls, and Doris ran haphazardly around the hospital until she found Troy, injured but recovering. The coterie had to decide quickly what to do with Sam Buttwise. Everett ordered Val to deal with the situation, but Val was forced to turn Sam over to mysterious figures in an SUV, Doris and Evangeline hid out at Margery’s and did a tarot reading that portended disaster for Evangeline’s marriage, and the coterie eventually regrouped at the station. Barty rushed in to inform them that Troy had been taken, but is this retaliation from Horatio or an entirely new threat?

After Everett made a deal for Teddy to be Val’s therapist, a deal which—to Evangeline’s discomfort—includes them both moving in with Val, the coterie set out to surveil Horatio Sundrop. They observed the clan leader making an exchange of blood rations with each Malkavian, and to gather more intel, Doris compelled Sam Buttwise to speak with her, but when her spell ended, Sam ran, and Val chased him down, but not before he made a terrified call to Horatio.

At the meeting of the clan leaders, the coterie isolated the clans’ bodyguards. With two Tremere alone, Evangeline convinced a swarm of mosquitos to feed on them to acquire their blood, Doris fled when she mistook them for her former tormentors, and Val attacked them in retaliation for frightening Doris. The coterie paraded Doris around to try lure out a Pyramid member so they could steal their blood. Though Val dressed conspicuously in tactical gear, Everett and Evangeline managed to be subtle, but still the Pyramid didn’t take the bait. At the office, Red Cell released Kenneth Kishimoto when Everett gave them the name of Ridley’s mother. The coterie mounted their defense! Barty told the coterie that, according to Camarilla law, Val should be executed for her attack on the sheriff, but he’d allow them to hold a trial first. However, when they tried to convince Barty that all of this was unnecessary, he had to call upon Alabaster Kane to step in as prosecution. With Doris and Evangeline as the defense, Everett set the rules of the trial to try to improve their odds of winning, but is there any hope now that the Prince is involved?

As the coterie rushed the sheriff to the hospital, Evangeline lost control and strangled Doris, who managed to leap out of the trunk and narrowly escape a member of the Pyramid, only to have her own beast force Barty to repair his door. The altercation between Val and Everett continued in the basement. Doris followed the sheriff’s orders and returned upstairs to draw, Evangeline left as well, though only after Val was staked, un-staked, and staked again and Everett ordered her to leave, and finally Val put Everett into torpor with her fists and brought his limp body upstairs to gloat. The compulsion has ended and the beast is at bay, but is it too late for Everett Fry?

While the Brujah fought their own battle, the coterie faced down two sets of enemies driving into town. Everett crumpled his car, but continued to fight, giving Doris the opportunity to compel their targets to shoot each other and then themselves. The coterie determined that the likely culprit behind the animal attacks was Harvey, thanks in part to Doris’s sketch of Jiro’s Flower Shirt Man. Val found Mr. Kitty’s collar in the pile of bodies, Evangeline questioned Jiro kindly and helped assuage the Kishimotos’ fears, and Everett confronted Harvey, who admitted to killing the animals to calm his beast. The sheriff’s department discovered a home filled with clowns, bodies and traps! The coroner’s findings led them to the home of Hooty Tooty Rooty, an ice cream salesman. Doris was prepared to compel the suspect and Val joined her, discovering a horrifying clown-themed bedroom upstairs. Deep in the woods, Everett left the werewolves on good terms just before he was recovered by a Red Cell team and brought before survivors of the Town Hall Massacre to be deposed and to determine who was responsible for the attack. Evangeline tried to convince Teddy she was fine, but it ended with slammed doors, and soon she joined Val and Doris at the station, where they discovered that some concerned mortals had launched the Newshaven Podcast, taking matters into their own hands. With the shooters having blown up the squad car, damaged Cherry and peeled away in different directions, the coterie commandeered two vehicles and split up to cover more ground. Doris stayed behind to watch the crime scene and had a meaningful conversation about nothing with occult shop owner Margery Pritchard, Everett and Val cornered one of the vans in an alley and began their attack, and Evangeline found the second van as it came out of nowhere and crashed into her.

With a moment to breathe, the coterie were formally introduced and apprised Everett of the current situation: unless they can keep the town’s citizens under control, every mortal and Kindred alike will be liquidated. Furthermore, in addition to the dangers presented by the Children of Lilith and an influx of Kindred refugees putting stress on the town’s blood supply, the attack on the station seems to have originated from the Sunset Retirement Home. Can the coterie contain this new threat?
