Dr. Dave Ulrich is the Rensis Likert Professor at the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, and a partner at the RBL Group, a consulting firm focused on helping organizations and leaders deliver value.  He has published over 200 articles and book chapters and over 30 books. He edited Human Resource Management 1990-1999, served on editorial board of 4 other journals and on the Board of Directors for Herman Miller (16 years), has spoken to large audiences in 90 countries; performed workshops for over half of the Fortune 200; coached successful business leaders, and is a Distinguished Fellow in the National Academy of Human Resources. He is known for continually learning, turning complex ideas into simple solutions, and creating real value for those he works with as he defines human capability as the next agenda for people and organizations. 

With colleagues, he has articulated the basics of effective leadership (Leadership Code and Results Based Leadership), connected leadership with customers (Leadership Brand), shown how leadership delivers market value (Why the Bottom Line Isn’t), shapes investor expectations with an ability to measure leadership (Leadership Capital Index), and synthesized ways to ensure that leadership aspirations turn into actions (Leadership Sustainability). 

He and his colleagues have shaped the HR profession and he has been called the “father of modern HR” and “HR thought leader of the decade” by focusing on HR outcomes, governance, competencies, and practices (HR Champions; HR Value Added; HR Transformation; HR Competencies; HR Outside In).  He spearheaded a “gift” book on the future of HR (The Rise of HR) distributed to over 1,500,000 HR professionals), in which 70 thought leaders freely shared their insights.

Founder, CEO, and president of EDWINS Leadership & Restaurant Institute Brandon Edwin Chrostowski is renowned for changing culinary and hospitality training—in and out of the nation’s prisons—while preserving French cooking traditions. His mission-driven effort to train and staff former prison inmates at his flagship French restaurant and nonprofit has created a national model for re-entry and an educational pipeline for formerly incarcerated to learn the discipline and skill of fine dining.

Under Chrostowski’s leadership, the EDWINS program boasts an extraordinary one percent recidivism rate, a testament to the efficacy of its approach. More than a CEO, Chrostowski is a catalyst for change, providing over one hundred formerly incarcerated adults with free culinary and hospitality arts training each year. Since its inception in 2007, the program has evolved into a multifaceted initiative, including Edwins Too—a culinary incubator and community kitchen; EDWINS Butcher Shop and Bakery and Diner; a Second Chance Life Skills Center with housing and wraparound services; EDWINS Family Center, a nonprofit offering free daycare to Institute students during class hours; on-site programs at Grafton Correctional Institute and Cuyahoga County Juvenile Detention Center; and a groundbreaking virtual curriculum reaching over 400,000 inmates in prisons across the country.

A culinary virtuoso, Chrostowski’s journey began with classical training as a chef and sommelier. He honed his skills at distinguished fine dining establishments in Paris, New York, and Chicago, including Lucas Carton, Chanterelle, Picholine, Le Cirque, and Charlie Trotter’s. His culinary prowess has been celebrated with numerous accolades, including being a 2022 James Beard Award Semifinalist and a 2023 James Beard Finalist. Recognition also extends to the 2023 Jim Brown Changemaker Award, IFMA’s 2020 Silver Plate, CNN’s 2016 Heroes, and the prestigious Crain’s “40 under 40” Awards.

A proud alum of CIA, Chrostowski holds an associate degree in culinary arts and a bachelor’s degree in business and Restaurant Management. He resides in Cleveland with his wife Catana and their children, Leo, Lilly, Lynx, and Lander.

Christina Helena is a speaker, playwright/performer, and founder of My Scar is Sexy, based in New York City. As one of the youngest pancreatic cancer survivors with a thirteen-inch scar across her abdomen, she is redefining the stigma behind trauma and pain with one simple thought: “Your scar is the sexiest thing about you.” Most recently, Goalcast featured Christina’s talk, “My Scar is Sexy,” on mental health, and overcoming adversity received over 10 million views.

Her story is currently in development as an off-Broadway, autobiographical solo show entitled SCAR directed by the award-winning director Larry Moss. Her TEDx talk, “Dear Unresolved Soul, It’s Not Death You Fear, It’s Life,” is about facing mortality and how death is the greatest catalyst to discovering the authentic self.

Colonel Matt Horner, Ph.D., is the Director of Staff of the Dean of Faculty and was recently nominated for the role of Permanent Professor for Character and Leadership Development at USAFA. He has served in multiple administrative and instructor roles in the Directorate of Athletics and is an Assistant Professor of Management, teaching courses on organizational dynamics and leadership. He is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and served as a mobility pilot on active duty. He received his doctorate in sport management from Florida State University. 

Lt Col Matt Orlowsky, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Management and teaches courses on organizational dynamics and leadership.  He is a graduate of USAFA and served as a force support officer on active duty.  As a human resource professional, he has held responsibilities at tactical, operational, and strategic levels and has held assignments all over the globe, including the United States, Korea, Germany, Iraq, and Qatar. His doctorate is from the University of Denver, and he explored how leaders translate experiences into insights.  

Daphne DePorres, Ed.D., is an assistant professor at the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA), where she teaches organizational behavior and organizational development, as well as a management consulting capstone course. In addition, she has over thirty years of experience in Organization Development and Change. Before her academic career, she spent nearly a decade consulting with large and small, for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, working with them as they developed strategies, pursued organizational goals, analyzed and changed their cultures, and developed effective teams. 

Dr. Dave Levy is a Professor of Management at USAFA and teaches courses on leadership, power, organization development, and change. He is a USAFA graduate and served as a security forces officer on active duty. After leaving the military, he worked as an organizational change consultant for Grant-Thornton and KPMG. He received his doctorate in organizational behavior from Cornell University and is the author of several books, including The 52nd Floor: Thinking Deeply About Leadership, Attitudes Aren’t Free: Thinking Deeply About Diversity in the US Armed Forces, Echoes of Mind: Thinking Deeply About Humanship, Evolution of Government Policy Towards Homosexuality in the US Military, and The Line: A Very Short, Short Story.

Dr. Stoller is Chairman of the Education Institute at Cleveland Clinic. He holds the Jean Wall Bennett Professorship of Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and the Samson Global Leadership Academy Endowed Chair. He is a pulmonary/critical care physician in the Cleveland Clinic Integrated Hospital Institute. He serves as the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs (Cleveland Clinic) in the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

In 1979, Dr. Stoller earned a medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine and later completed an internship and residency at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston. He then completed fellowships in pulmonary/critical medicine (Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Yale), clinical epidemiology (Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program at Yale), and respiratory intensive care (Respiratory Intensive Care Unit of the Massachusetts General Hospital) before joining the Respiratory Institute Staff at Cleveland Clinic in 1986.

Dr. MinhTri Nguyen recently graduated from Cleveland Clinic’s Hematology and Oncology Fellowship program.  He has had leadership experiences as the Associate Director of Outpatient Services at Metrohealth’s Internal Medicine Department, Chief Resident, and President of the House Officer’s Association at MetroHealth. 

MinhTri has a longstanding interest in emotional intelligence and leadership, with ongoing research in both subject matters related to physician training. He is a certified coach, currently coaching resident physicians and clinical leaders. In the fall, he will be joining Stanford Health Care, where he will practice Hematology/Oncology with University Medical Partners while continuing his academic interests in leadership development for physicians.

Dr. Jonathan W. White is professor of American Studies at Christopher Newport University. He is the author or editor of 17 books covering various topics, including civil liberties during the Civil War, the USS Monitor and the Battle of Hampton Roads, the presidential election of 1864, and what Abraham Lincoln and soldiers dreamt about.

Among his awards are the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia’s Outstanding Faculty Award (2019), CNU’s Alumni Society Award for Teaching and Mentoring (2016), the Abraham Lincoln Institute Book Prize (2015), and the University of Maryland Alumni Excellence Award in Research (2024).

Nadia Taranczewski holds a Master of Psychology, Master Certified Coach, executive coach, keynote speaker, and author of Conscious You: Become the Hero of Your Own Story. She has worked as a coach and organizational developer since 2001.

Dr. Barbara Kellerman is a Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Center for Public Leadership. She was the Founding Executive Director of the Center, and a member of the Kennedy School faculty for over twenty years. Kellerman has held professorships at Fordham, Tufts, Fairleigh Dickinson, George Washington, Christopher Newport, and the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. She also served as Director of the Center for the Advanced Study of Leadership at the University of Maryland.

Kellerman received her B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College, and her M.A. M.Phil., and Ph.D. (in Political Science) degrees from Yale University. She was awarded a Danforth Fellowship and three Fulbright fellowships. At Uppsala (1996-97), she held the Fulbright Chair in American Studies. Kellerman was cofounder of the International Leadership Association (ILA) and is author and editor of many books. Kellerman has also appeared on media outlets such as CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, NPR, MSNBC, Reuters, and BBC, and has contributed articles and reviews to the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Boston Globe, the Los Angeles Times, and the Harvard Business Review.

Barbara Kellerman has spoken to audiences all over the world including in Beijing, Toronto, Moscow, Melbourne, Buenos Aires, Munich, Seoul, Jerusalem, Mumbai, Berlin, Shanghai, Sao Paolo, Kyoto, and Sydney. She received the Wilbur M. McFeeley award from the National Management Association for her pioneering work on leadership and followership, as well as the Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Leadership Association. Dr. Keith Grint has been Professor Emeritus at Warwick University since 2018. He spent 10 years working in various positions across a number of industry sectors before switching to an academic career. His first undergraduate degree (Sociology) was from the Open University in 1981, and his second (Politics) from the University of York in 1982. He received his doctorate from the University of Oxford in 1986. He was a Jr. Research Fellow at Nuffield College, Oxford University, between 1985 and 1986 and a Research Fellow there from 1986 to 1987.

Between 1986 and 1992, he was a Lecturer in Sociology at Brunel University, and between 1992 and 1998, a Fellow at Templeton College, then a University Lecturer in Organizational Behaviour at the School of Management (now Saïd Business School), Oxford University. Between 1998 and 2004, he was University Reader in Organizational Behaviour at the Saïd Business School and Director of Research there between 2002 and 2003. From 2004 to 2006, he was a professor of leadership studies and director of the Lancaster Leadership Centre, Lancaster University School of Management. Between 2006 and 2008, he was a Professor of Defence Leadership and Deputy Principal at Shrivenham Campus, Cranfield University. He was a Professor of Public Leadership at Warwick Business School from 2009 to 2018.

He is a Fellow of the International Leadership Association (ILA) and a Professorial Fellow of the Australian Institute of Police Management (AIPM). He is also a founding co-editor with David Collinson of the journal Leadership, and co-founder of the International Studying Leadership Conference. He was elected a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in 2012 and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Science at Warwick University in 2013. He received the Chief Constable’s Commendation for Contribution to Police Leadership in 2018 and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Leadership Association in 2018.

Dr. Angelica Larios, PMP is a business and project manager with more than 20 years of experience in implementing software projects related to business intelligence, planning, and consolidation of financial solutions based in software applications to support the business decision process. She is the founder and CEO of ALACONTEC, an IT consulting company founded in Latin America. She has held several professional positions in private and public organizations, such as the Health Ministry in Mexico as IT director, and as a business manager for several firms in Mexico.

She holds a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from National University of Mexico (UNAM) in addition to her studies in project management and her Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification, which have helped her to consolidate her career and have a better understanding on what businesses and projects need nowadays. She was the first female president of the PMI Mexico Chapter. She is a doctor in strategic leadership at Regent University, VA, and currently serves on the Ethics Member Advisory Group (EMAG) that supports the PMI global operations (2019–2021). She has held other global volunteer positions, such as BVAC (2016-2018) and CMAG (2013-2014).

Dr. Laura Empson is Professor in the Management of Professional Service Firms at Bayes Business School, University of London, and holds Research Fellowships at both Harvard Law School and the University of Cambridge.

She has dedicated 30 years to researching professionals, professionals, and the professions, and is a globally recognised expert in their leadership and governance.  Her research also explores organisational and cultural change; growth and leadership transitions; mergers and acquisitions; professional careers; and the future of professional work.

In addition to dozens of publications in leading academic journals, she has published several books with Oxford University Press – her first was Managing the Modern Law Firm (2007), and her latest is Leading Professionals: Power, Politics, and Prima Donnas (reprinted in paperback, 2022). 

Laura serves on the editorial board of Organization Studies and the Journal of Management Studies. She is a founder member of the Strategic Advisory Board of the Society for the Advancement of Management Studies (SAMS) and a member of the Peer Review College of the ESRC.

She advises many of the world’s leading law, accounting, and consulting firms.  From 2013 to 2016, she served on the Board of KPMG LLP (becoming Chair of the Independent Non-Executives). 

Laura was previously an Associate Professor at the University of Oxford.  Before becoming an academic, Laura worked as an investment banker and strategy consultant.  She has a PhD and MBA from London Business School.

Dr. Allen has written and presented widely on topics of leadership, human development, and organizational development. Dr. Steve Kempster is an Emeritus Professor of Leadership Learning and Development at Lancaster University Management School and is an Associate Partner of the Regenerative Alliance. He has published broadly on leadership learning, leadership of purpose, and responsible leadership with five books and many articles and chapters. Steve leads the Good Dividends project  (www.gooddividends.com) – formed from an interdisciplinary group of academics drawn from 5 universities in Europe and Australasia – to enable business leaders to develop their business models towards becoming regenerative and realising good growth.

His latest book is ‘Good Dividends: Responsible Leadership of Business Purpose’. Dr. Les Sylven has been a police officer in Canada for over 30 years, serving with three different police organizations in a wide variety of roles, from a Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer in a rural community to a municipal Police Chief. During his policing career, he was actively involved in numerous public safety initiatives for which he was recognized by the Governor General of Canada, receiving the Order of Merit of the Police Forces in 2020.

Eric Svaren coaches executives, as well as senior and emerging leaders, in business, tech, health care, research, higher education, government, associations, and NGOs. He is also an organization development (OD) consultant, serving local, national, and international clients.

Roy Tuscany is originally from Waterbury, VT, and after graduating from the University of Vermont with a Mechanical Engineering degree, he headed west to pursue the dream of being a professional free-skier. In 2006, Roy suffered a life-changing injury that left him paralyzed from the waist down and was the catalyst for the creation of High Fives. Roy turned the financial and community support of his recovery into a ‘pay-it-forward’ adventure with the creation of the High Fives Foundation. He was named the “Spirit Inspires” award from Disabled Sports USA in 2011 and once held the World Record for the most high fives in 24 hours. He lives in Reno, NV, with his partner Alana Nichols and son Gunnar. He enjoys finding fun in everything he does - biking, skiing, surfing, and everything outdoors.

George A. Papandreou is the former Prime Minister of Greece (2009-2011) and is currently a Member of Parliament with the Panhellenic Socialist Movement/Movement of Change. As an MP, he represents the Hellenic Parliament in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and has led over the years the work of several Committees in producing recommendations for the deepening of democracy, human rights, and the rule of law across its 47 member-states. 

During his premiership, he applied a series of structural reforms in his attempt to modernize his country whilst avoiding bankruptcy during Greece’s 2010 debt crisis. For his achievements related to government Transparency, he received the Quadriga Award in the category “Power of Veracity.. In 2010, he was named one of the Foreign Policy magazine’s TOP 100 Global Thinkers. In 2017, he was honored with the International Leadership Association (ILA) Distinguished Leadership Award.

Dr. Ron Heifetz is among the world’s foremost authorities on the practice and teaching of leadership. He speaks extensively and advises heads of governments, businesses, and nonprofit organizations across the globe. Heifetz founded the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard Kennedy School where he has taught for nearly four decades. He is the King Hussein bin Talal Senior Lecturer in Public Leadership. His research addresses two challenges: developing a conceptual foundation for the analysis and practice of leadership; and developing transformative methods for leadership education, training, and consultation. 

Dr. Cynthia Cherrey is President and CEO of the International Leadership Association (ILA), a global community committed to increasing quality research, teaching, and leadership practices contributing to the world's common good. Dr. Barry L. Boyd is an Associate Professor in the Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education, & Communications (ALEC) at Texas A&M University. He holds the Thaman Professorship in Undergraduate Teaching Excellence. Dr. Boyd earned his doctorate from Texas A&M in 1991 with an emphasis in leadership education and instructional. He teaches courses in personal and organizational leadership development, developing youth leadership organizations, and applied ethics in leadership. Dr. Boyd’s research includes teaching and assessing critical thinking and using critical thinking in ethical decision-making. His team developed the QUEEN Model of Critical Thinking as part of a NIFA Higher Education grant.

Dr. Jennifer Strong is an Associate Professor of Leadership in the Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications at Texas A&M University. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in leadership theory, ethics, organizational culture, team development, and leadership in popular culture. Her research includes the impact of innovative teaching methods on effective leader development and the intersectionality between critical thinking behavior (QUEEN Model), ethics, and followership. Dr. Strong received her bachelor's and master’s degrees in leadership from Texas A&M and her Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University.

Barbara Kellerman is a Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Center for Public Leadership. She was the Founding Executive Director of the Center, and a member of the Kennedy School faculty for over twenty years. Kellerman has held professorships at Fordham, Tufts, Fairleigh Dickinson, George Washington, Christopher Newport, and the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. She also served as Director of the Center for the Advanced Study of Leadership at the University of Maryland.

Kellerman received her B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College, and her M.A. M.Phil., and Ph.D. (in Political Science) degrees from Yale University. She was awarded a Danforth Fellowship and three Fulbright fellowships. At Uppsala (1996-97), she held the Fulbright Chair in American Studies. Kellerman was cofounder of the International Leadership Association (ILA) and is author and editor of many books. Kellerman has also appeared on media outlets such as CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, NPR, MSNBC, Reuters, and BBC, and has contributed articles and reviews to the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Boston Globe, the Los Angeles Times, and the Harvard Business Review.

Dr. Susan R. Komives is Professor Emerita in the Student Affairs Graduate Program at the U. Maryland where she taught until 2012. She is past president of CAS and ACPA and was Vice President of two institutions.  She is the co-author or co-editor of 16 books, including Exploring Leadership, Leadership for A Better World, Handbook for Student Leadership Development, and How Academic Disciplines Approach Leadership. She and her research teams developed the Multi-institutional Study of Leadership and the Leadership Identity Development grounded theory. She is co-founder of the National Clearinghouse for Leadership Programs and the founding editor of the Wiley New Directions for Student Leadership series. 

Dr. Julie E. Owen (she/her) is an Associate Professor of Leadership Studies at the School of Integrative Studies, George Mason, where she coordinates the leadership studies major and minor and is affiliate faculty with Women and Gender Studies and the Higher Education Program. Her most recent book is We are the Leaders We've Been Waiting For: Women and Leadership Development in College (Stylus, 2020).. Owen identifies as a white, currently-able, middle-class, cisgender woman working in the academy. She is committed to using her voice to advocate for positive social change leading to more equitable leadership for all and to consider how identities and social power shape practice. She explores the intersections of leadership identity, women’s adult development, and the scholarship of liberatory leadership teaching and learning.

The Right Honourable Beverley McLachlin, P.C., C.C., CStJ, served as Chief Justice of Canada from 2000 to mid-December 2017. In June 2018, she was made a Companion of the Order of Canada, the country’s highest accolade. She works in ADR as a bilingual arbitrator and mediator in Canada and internationally.

During her 28 years on the Supreme Court of Canada, she helped decide a wide variety of common law and civil law disputes in both French and English. Her tenure as Chief Justice was the longest in Canadian history.

The 2,094 Supreme Court of Canada judgments in which she participated—of which she wrote 442—and her legal writings and speaking include a wide range of subjects in corporate, construction, financial services, taxation, contract, tort, IT, patent, copyright, other areas of business law, as well as arbitration and mediation.

She has received over 35 honorary degrees from universities in Canada and abroad, and numerous other honours and awards.

Ms. McLachlin is also a Justice of Singapore’s International Commercial Court and the Hong Kong Final Court of Appeal.

Maxime Fern and Michael Johnstone are life and working partners, based in Sydney and Canberra, Australia, where they started their consulting practice (Vantage Point Consulting) in 1988. They have worked as leadership consultants, facilitators, and coaches with clients in the public and private sectors, not-for-profits, and professional service firms for forty years. They were visiting faculty at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University for fifteen years, are on the Faculty Advisory Board of the global Adaptive Leadership Network (Washington, D.C.), and are members of the Inaugural Faculty for the Australian Adaptive Leadership Institute. 

Before starting Vantage Point, Maxime was a development officer for the Australian Public Service, a social health visitor in a low-income neighborhood, and a counseling psychologist for the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation. She is an Australian National University (Psychology and Politics) graduate with a Master of Educational Counselling from Canberra. Maxime can be found in her gardens, and she practices her Italian on Duolingo in her spare time.

Michael trained as a youth worker and has worked as a town and regional planner, social researcher, and university lecturer in Human Geography and Sociology - and for a while, was a dairy farmer on a kibbutz in Israel. He holds a BA from Auckland University, a Master of Social Science (cum laude) from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and a Ph.D. from the Australian National University. In his spare time, he likes to read, cook, watch movies, and work in the gym.

They have three children and eight grandchildren and live in Sydney and Lazio, Italy, north of Rome.

Dr. Jonathan Gosling is an Emeritus Professor of Leadership at Exeter University in the UK and a visiting scholar at other universities, including Bled, McGill, Monash, Renmin, and UWE. He has taught and researched leadership for over 30 years and is now an independent academic and consultant at Pelumbra.com.

Current projects include with the Forward Institute promoting responsible leadership in government, NGOs, and business; supporting the front-line leadership of HIV and malaria control programs in southern Africa; running a series of ‘One Planet Leadership’ RoundTables for experienced managers  - and a new initiative to do the same for full-time students. He hosts writing retreats and this year published the 2nd Edition of Exploring Leadership: Individual, Organisational and Societal Perspectives’ (co-authored with Richard Bolden and Beverley Hawkins).

He represented UK Universities at the Rio+20 UN Sustainability Summit. He contributed to the ‘greening’ of management education, e.g., as co-author of the textbook Sustainable Business: A One Planet Approach and co-founder of One Planet Education Networks (OPEN). He worked as a community mediator for many years, co-founded Coachingourselves.com, and received the ILA’s ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ in 2021. He is a keen sailor of fast catamarans and slow cruisers.

Rick Koster founded Leaderscope in 2013, a network of leadership trainers, coaches, and facilitators who develop courageous leadership to transform teams, organizations, and systems.

Rick has a background in ecology, neurobiology, leadership, and communication skills development. He specializes in developing and guiding transformative leadership programs, leadership team guidances, and designing processes for strategy development. Dr. David Rosch is an Associate Professor in the Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications Program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  There, he teaches courses on leadership theory and adult training and development and researches the impact of leadership training initiatives.  During his time on the faculty at Illinois, he has been named to the university’s list of “Instructors Ranked as Excellent” each semester.

Dr. Lori E. Kniffin (she/her) is an Assistant Professor of Leadership at Fort Hays State University. She teaches a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses through in-person and virtual modalities. Her experience teaching her department’s qualitative methods course has led to her passion for developing future leadership practitioner-scholars. Dr. Martin Gutmann is a Swiss-American historian and Professor at the Lucerne School of Business, Switzerland. His recent work includes Before the UN Sustainable Development Goals: A Historical Companion, which came out in 2022 with Oxford University Press, and just out this month, The Unseen Leader: How History Can Help us Rethink Leadership.

Gutmann has a Ph.D. in History from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Syracuse University, USA and an Executive MBA from IE Business School, Spain. Peter Rea is Vice President of Integrity and Ethics at Parker Hannifin .  He is a Professor of Business Administration at Baldwin Wallace and teaches physician leadership for the Cleveland Clinic and chairs Ohio University's Medical School Advisory Board.   

Parker Hannifin is a Fortune 250 with over $19 billion in annual sales, employing about 65,000 teammates in 50 countries. Parker is the global leader in motion and control technologies.

In 2012, Peter joined Parker in a newly established position to preserve Parker’s reputation and protect its financial strength.   The mission is to help individuals and teams perform at a high level despite pressure and uncertainty guided by a character defined as a virtue.

Alana Nichols is a world-class athlete passionate about challenging herself and others. From a young age, her passion for sports and adventure has driven her and no matter what obstacle life throws her, she takes a challenge head-on.  After suffering a spinal cord injury at age 17 while attempting a back flip on her snowboard, Alana quickly transitioned to adaptive sports.  She is the first American female to win gold medals at the Summer (Wheelchair Basketball) and Winter (Alpine Ski Racing) Olympic/Paralympic Games.  Currently training for the 2016 Rio De Janeiro Paralympic Games, Alana will be taking on a new athletic challenge in Sprint Kayaking and will continue to inspire and attract fans worldwide.

Alana graduated from the University of Arizona with an Education degree. Two years later, she obtained a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Alabama. She serves on the board at EspnW, The Women’s Sports Foundation, and The Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation and advocates for sporting opportunities for girls and women. Finally, Alana won the first ever all-female adaptive surf competition in history and continues to passionately promote and enjoy adaptive surfing

Dr. George R. (Al) Goethals is the E. Claiborne Robins Distinguished Professors in Leadership Studies Emeritus at the University of Richmond. Previously at Williams College he served as chair of the Department of Psychology, Acting Dean of the Faculty, Provost, and founding chair of the Program in Leadership Studies.   Goethals’ published books include Heroes:  What They Do and Why We Need Them (2010) and Heroic Leadership:  An Influence Taxonomy of 100 Exceptional Individuals (2013, both with Scott T. Allison).  More recently he authored Presidential Leadership and African Americans: “An American Dilemma” from Slavery to the White House (2015), Realignment, Region and Race:  Presidential Leadership and Social Identity (2018), and The Romance of Heroism and Heroic Leadership (2019, with Allison).  Goethals received the 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Leadership Association.  With Allison and Georgia J. Sorenson he is co-editor of the Sage Encyclopedia of Leadership Studies (2023).

Dr. Juana Bordas is the author of Salsa, Soul, and Spirit: Leadership for a Multicultural Age and The Power of Latino Leadership. Both books received the International Latino Book Award and are break-through works in the multicultural leadership field. Her new edition of The Power of Latino Leadership ¡Ahora! was released in March 2023 and can be ordered on Amazon or your local bookstore.

Juana served as advisor to Harvard’s Hispanic Journal, the Kellogg National Fellows, and as a trustee of Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership and International Leadership Association (ILA). She was the first Latino to receive ILA’s life-time achievement award.

As a founder and Executive Director for Mi Casa Resource Center, founding president of The National Hispana Leadership Institute and The Circle of Latina Leadership, she was commended by Latina Style Magazine for creating “a Nation of Latina Leaders.

Gary Lloyd has led organizational change initiatives for nearly thirty years. Dr. Randal Pinkett has established himself as an entrepreneur, speaker, author and scholar, and as a leading voice for his generation in business and technology.  He is the founder, chairman, and CEO of his fifth venture, BCT Partners, a multimillion-dollar research, consulting, training, technology, and analytics firm headquartered in Newark, NJ.

Dr. Pinkett has received numerous awards for business and technology excellence including the Information Technology Senior Management Forum’s Beacon Award, the National Society of Black Engineers’ Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and the National Urban League’s Business Excellence Award.  He has been featured on nationally televised programs such as The Today Show, Fox Business News, MSNBC, and CNN.

Dr. Pinkett is the author of Campus CEO: The Student Entrepreneur’s Guide to Launching a Multimillion-Dollar Business and No-Money Down CEO: How to Start Your Dream Business with Little or No Cash and co-author of Black Faces in White Places, which was named one of “The Best Books of 2010.”  He holds five degrees including: a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers, an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Oxford, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering, an MBA, and a Ph.D. from MIT.  Most notably, he was the first and only African-American to receive the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship at Rutgers University; he was inducted to the Academic All-America Hall of Fame, he was a former high jumper, long jumper, sprinter, and captain of the men’s track and field team; and he was the winner of NBC’s hit reality television show, “The Apprentice."

Born in Philadelphia and raised in New Jersey, he is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, and the First Baptist Church in Somerset, NJ, where he resides with his family.  Dr. Pinkett firmly believes that “for those to whom much is given, much is expected,” so throughout his endeavors, he places great emphasis on his desire to give back to the community.

Bill Eddy, LCSW, Esq. developed the high conflict personality theory to explain the driving forces behind people who present the most challenging behaviors. He is an expert on managing disputes involving high-conflict situations and 5 high conflict personality types, including a subset of those with narcissistic, borderline, antisocial, histrionic, and paranoid personality disorders. He has trained over 200,000 professionals in 10 countries on understanding and managing high-conflict disputes, including lawyers, judges, mediators, managers, human resource professionals, businesspersons, healthcare administrators, college administrators, law enforcement, therapists, and others.

As an attorney, Bill was a Certified Family Law Specialist in California and the Senior Family Mediator at the National Conflict Resolution Center in San Diego. Before becoming an attorney in 1992, he was a Licensed Clinical Social worker with twelve years of experience providing therapy to children, adults, couples, and families in psychiatric hospitals and outpatient clinics.

He serves on the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution faculty at the Pepperdine University School of Law. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Newcastle Law School in Australia. In 2021, Bill received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Academy of Professional Family Mediators.

Seydina Ndiaye is a social entrepreneur and socio-political actor working mainly in inclusion, youth development, and democracy in Dakar, Senegal. He also works as a senior consultant focusing on politics and development strategies for digital growth, where he has had several collaborations with those in the Senegalese public sector.

Seydina is an alumnus of the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, the flagship program of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) and completed his program at Kansas State University. He is a civic leadership practitioner and is prototyping a contextualized civic leadership and engagement framework based on African local community organizing activities and spreading local narratives to increase citizen awareness to promote civic engagement, and participatory democracy, especially through digital technology and cyberspace.

Aliki Nicolaides Ed.D, is Professor of Adult Learning and Leadership at the University of Georgia in Learning, Leadership, and Organization Development program. Her research explores the intra-active dynamics of learning that generate personal and societal transformation. She accomplishes this by focusing her research on the role that learning plays in activating the vital potential that connects self and society. Her desire to create tools and scaffolds that grow individual and collective capacity for inquiry and action is central to her approach to teaching and mentoring the next generation of scholars and leaders of change. She's co-founder of the Generative Learning and Complexity Laboratory, which brings together scholars and practitioners of learning and complexity science to reimagine learning and development through the lens of generative knowing and complexity learning. Her scholarship is shaping a new philosophical strand of adult learning, what she describes as Generative Knowing: Ways of being and becoming that liberate potential creatively in her first solo book. Dr. Nicolaides is a founding steward and current Director of the International Transformative Learning Association.

Dr.  Nathan Eva is a Fulbright Scholar (2021) and the co-director of Engagement for the Department of Management at the Monash Business School. His research examines follower-first leadership approaches that deliver organizational performance combined with inclusive and supportive workplaces.

Associate Professor Eva received his Ph.D. from Monash University in 2014, received the 2015 Emerald/EFMD Outstanding Doctoral Research Award in Leadership, was awarded as a 2016 Greenleaf Scholar by the Greenleaf Centre for Servant Leadership, received the 2020 Dean's Awards for Excellence in Research by an Early Career Researcher, and was Highly Commended for his research as an Early Career Scholar for the 2018 ANZAM Excellence Awards. He received the 2016 and 2013 Dean's Award for Teaching Excellence at the Monash Business School, and has been consistently recognized for outstanding teaching by the Office of the Vice-Provost.

His peer-reviewed work appears in international outlets such as The Leadership Quarterly, Journal of Organizational Behavior, and Human Resource Management. His article on Servant Leadership in The Leadership Quarterly is the most downloaded and the most cited article in their journal since 2017, and his article on Psychological Safety in Human Resource Management Review received the journal's Scholarly Impact Award for the most impactful article (2017-2022).

Associate Professor Eva is a Board Member of the Network of Leadership Scholars, the Chair of the Leadership Scholarship stream for the International Leadership Association, and the Co-Chair of the International Leadership Association’s Leadership Education Academy. Chris Esparza is a full-time consultant, facilitator, and trainer.  He serves as Vice President for Leadership & Culture at Koppett & Co. This consultancy uses improvisation and storytelling to enhance creativity, connection, leadership, and learning with organizations and companies of all sizes.

Before joining the Koppett team, Chris spent 20 years in higher ed, rounding out that chapter as the Director of Diversity, Inclusion, and Leadership Development at the University of Oregon’s School of Law.

Throughout his career, Chris has infused an improvisational mindset in his work and approach to leadership development.  He started his journey learning and performing improv in college as a 4-year member of the Stanford Improvisors.  He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the global Applied Improvisation Network.

Dr. Henry Mintzberg is a writer and educator, mostly about managing originations, developing managers, and rebalancing societies (his current focus). After receiving his doctorate from the MIT Sloan School of Management, he has made his professional home in the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University in Montreal, where he sits in the Cleghorn Chair of Management Studies, with extensive stints along the way in England and France. He has authored 21 books, earning him 21 honorary degrees and an offficership in the Order of Canada. He publishes a regular blog, a collection of which was published as Bedtime Stories for Managers. When it comes to blazing the trail for women, the Right Honourable Kim Campbell's career includes many milestones. From 16, when she became the first female student body president of her high school, until 30 years later, as the first female prime minister of Canada at 46, Ms. Campbell has spent much of her life breaking barriers for women.

Not only does Ms. Campbell still hold the distinction of being Canada's first and only female Prime Minister, she is also the first Canadian Prime Minister to have held office in all three levels of government: Municipal, Provincial, and Federal. The Right Honourable Kim Campbell has held the cabinet portfolios of Minister of State for Indian Affairs and Northern Development, Minister of Justice and Attorney General, Minister of National Defence--the first woman to have held such a position in any NATO country--and Minister of Veterans' Affairs. Additionally, the breadth of her international experience includes participation in major international meetings such as the Commonwealth, NATO, the G-7 Summit, and the United Nations General Assembly.

After her tenure as Prime Minister, Ms. Campbell continued to serve Canada as a diplomat and was a Fellow at the Institute of Politics (Spring 1994) and the Joan Shorenstein Center for the Study of Press and Politics (1994-1995) at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard. Then, she served as the Canadian Consul General in Los Angeles from 1996-2000. Dr. V. Chunoo (he/his) is an Assistant Professor of Organizational and Community Leadership at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. His research focuses on the cultural aspects of teaching and learning in leadership as well as the social justice outcomes of leadership development programs. This episode was a lot of fun! I spoke with the 2023 CLC Champs from Concordia University, Nebraska. I talked to Concordia's coach Curt Beck, and several team members -  Ashley, Chloe, Shelby, Carlin, Sydni, Aubrey, Olivia, Grace, Camryn, Marc, Austin, & Joel. We talked about their experience, key learnings, and thoughts on teaming.

What is the CLC?

Collegiate Leadership Competition (CLC), a nonprofit founded in 2015, creates a practice field where students can actively apply what they learn. We believe that leadership can be learned. With practice, our participants develop knowledge, build skill, and learn with other like-minded teammates who are passionate about leadership.

CLC’s curriculum explores the attributes of effective leaders, leadership/followership styles, creative problem-solving, influencing others, navigating difficult conversations, conflict resolution, ethical decision-making, stressors, and effective teaming.

Colleges and universities identify a coach and recruit teams of six students. Any student interested in practicing leadership is welcome. Each team member leads one challenge at the competition and receives extensive feedback based on their performance.

Suzanna Fitzpatrick, DNP, ACNP-BC, FNP-BC,  is a nurse practitioner at the University of Maryland Medical Center In Baltimore, Maryland, where she has worked since 2008.   She is a senior nurse practitioner with expertise in surgical patients, transplant, oncology, and emergency medicine.

Dr.  Fitzpatrick began her healthcare journey as a Paramedic, which she has continued doing as a volunteer for the past 20 years.  Her educational background includes a B.S. from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (2004) in Emergency Health Services, a  B.S.N from Villa Julie College (2008), Masters in Nursing in Acute Care (2010), Post-Masters certificate from George Washington University in Family Practice (2013) and her Doctorate in Nursing Practice (2020). Her doctoral work focused on teamwork and collaboration with emergency nurses.

She has a passion for mentoring novice Nurse Practitioners in their transition into practice and professional development. She has written articles on teamwork, nursing leadership, and transition shock for novice practitioners.  In addition, she is an adjunct professor teaching Doctoral nursing students system and complex leadership theories and practical strategies at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.

Challenge Alaska's founder, Doug Keil, was electrocuted when he was 14. As a result, his left arm and left leg were amputated. Following the accident, Doug struggled with depression. After many years, he discovered an adaptive program at Winter Park in Colorado in 1975, which renewed his hope and helped turn his life around. Doug represented the United States in the 1980 Winter Paralympics, winning 2 Gold Medals in para-alpine skiing. 

Returning from the Paralympics, Doug was determined to bring the same opportunities he found in Winter Park to Alaskans living with disabilities. Challenge Alaska was founded in 1980 and incorporated in 1982 to provide sports and recreation opportunities to Alaskans living with disabilities. Our first "office" was in a broom closet at Alyeska Resort, serving less than a dozen participants. Challenge Alaska now helps more than 1,000 people living with disabilities every year. A small sampling of our programs include archery, sled hockey, adaptive skiing, book club, and so much more.

For more than a decade, Valerie Livesay, Ph.D. has been thinking about and inquiring into the phenomenon of fallback­­––when despite our optimal developmental capacities, what we often refer to as our developmental center-of-gravity—we make meaning, feel, and act from a smaller, less complex, less capable form of mind. 

As Chief Illuminator at Ghost Light Leadership, Valerie accompanies individuals through their discovery of self, using the analogy of theater to set the stage for their historical and unfolding story. Through her writing, speaking, coaching, and workshop offerings, Valerie invites the many characters that comprise the full ensemble of one’s self to dance together to better meet their intentions. She is the author of Leaving the Ghost Light Burning: Illuminating Fallback in Embrace of the Fullness of You in which she reveals both the despair and ecstasy that accompany a knowing of the fullness of one’s allowing the reader to find the fullness of themselves in the journey of development and the experience of being human.

Valerie earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from the University of San Diego. Valerie lives in Southern California with her two cats, husband, and two children.

David McCallum, S.J., Ed.D is a Jesuit priest and leadership educator. He serves as the founding Executive Director of the Program for Discerning Leadership, a special project of the General Curia of the Society of Jesus, Georgetown, and the Gregorian University. The Program provides leadership formation for senior Vatican officials and major superiors of religious orders in Rome, Italy, and internationally.

Currently, Fr. McCallum lives in Rome and serves as a member of the Secretariat for the Synod of Bishops Commission on Methodology, supporting the Synodal process initiative by Pope Francis, and as adjunct faculty in the Institute for Anthropology, Interdisciplinary Studies of Human Dignity and Care (IADC) at the Pontifical Gregorian University.

Dr. Paul Hibbert is Professor of Management at the University of St Andrews. He is also an Honorary Professor at the University of Auckland Business School, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, the Chartered Management Institute, the British Academy of Management, and the Academy of Social Sciences. He earned his MBA and Ph.D. from the University of Strathclyde in Scotland.

Paul researches reflexive practice and processes of organizing and learning to develop insights for managers and leaders. His research has been recognized by awards from the Academy of Management, the Australia and New Zealand Academy of Management, and the British Academy of Management. His work is published in international journals such as Academy of Management Learning & Education, Journal of Management Education, Journal of Management Studies, Leadership Quarterly, Management Learning, Organizational Research Methods, and Organization Studies. His book How to be a Reflexive Researcher was published in 2021.

Paul is widely involved in leadership and service to journals and learned societies. David V. Day holds appointments as Professor of Psychology and Leadership, and as Academic Director of the Kravis Leadership Institute at Claremont McKenna College. Dr. Wendy K. Smith is the Dana J. Johnson Professor of Management and faculty director of the Women’s Leadership Initiative at the Lerner College of Business and Economics, University of Delaware. She earned her Ph.D. in organizational behavior at Harvard Business School. She began her intensive research on strategic paradoxes—how leaders and senior teams effectively respond to contradictory yet interdependent demands. Working with executives and scholars globally, she received the Web of Science Highly Cited Research Award (2019, 2020, and 2021) for being among her field's 1 percent most-cited researchers. She received the Decade Award (2021) from the Academy of Management Review for the most cited paper in the past ten years. Her work has been published in such journals as the Academy of Management Journal, Administrative Science Quarterly, Harvard Business Review, Organization

Science, and Management Science. She has taught at the University of Delaware, Harvard University, and the University of Pennsylvania–Wharton while helping senior leaders and middle managers worldwide address issues of interpersonal dynamics, team performance, organizational change, and innovation. Dr. Jonathan W. White is a professor of American Studies at Christopher Newport University.  He is the author or editor of 13 books, including Emancipation, the Union Army, and the Reelection of Abraham Lincoln (2014), which was a finalist for both the Lincoln Prize and Jefferson Davis Prize, a “best book” in Civil War Monitor, and the winner of the Abraham Lincoln Institute’s 2015 book prize. He serves as vice-chair of The Lincoln Forum, and on the boards of the Abraham Lincoln Association, the Abraham Lincoln Institute, and the Ford’s Theatre Advisory Council. 

His most recent books include Midnight in America: Darkness, Sleep, and Dreams during the Civil War (2017), which was selected as a “best book” by Civil War Monitor; and “Our Little Monitor”: The Greatest Invention of the Civil War (2018), which he co-authored with Anna Gibson Holloway.  In October 2021 he published To Address You As My Friend: African Americans’ Letters to Abraham Lincoln with UNC Press and My Work Among the Freedmen: The Civil War and Reconstruction Letters of Harriet M. Buss with UVA Press. His most recent book is A House Built By Slaves: African American Visitors to the Lincoln White House just won the Gilder Lehrman Lincoln Prize.

Dr. Aftab Erfan (she/her) is a scholar-practitioner currently serving as the City of Vancouver’s first Chief Equity Officer. She leads internal transformation for a public organization of nearly 10,000 employees. Originally from Iran, she moved to Canada as a teenager. Her formal education is in environmental sciences, fine arts, and urban planning. Aftab did much of her growing up within the youth environmental movement, where she learned that activism is an effective antidote to despair. In her late 20s, Aftab completed an action-research-based Ph.D. in Community and Regional Planning at the University of British Columbia, where she subsequently taught for nearly a decade and completed a 4-year stint as Director of Dialogue and Conflict Engagement for the university. She has worked as a consultant on four continents but finds much more meaning in working locally. Next to her family, Aftab's primary engagement is with the large systemic issues of our times. She wonders how we can become useful leaders in times of societal struggle,  transition, and collapse.

Amiel Handelsman is a seasoned executive coach with 20+ years of experience helping leaders and teams navigate complexity. His clients have included college presidents, C-level business executives, and teams at every level. He is passionate about climate solutions and specializes in helping people deliver what they promise and build highly engaged workforces. Amiel is the author of four books, including Practice Greatness and the free e-books Reimagining American Identity and How To Be An Anti-race Antiracist, and is a frequent guest on podcasts. H.E. Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović is Croatia's 4th and 1st female President (2015-2020) with broad national and international experience in politics, diplomacy, and security studies. During her career as an elected official and in national and international civil service, among others, she was elected a Member of the Croatian Parliament (2003) and served as Croatia’s first female Minister of Foreign Affairs (2003-2008) and Ambassador to the United States, Mexico, Panama and the Organisation of American States (2008-2011), as well as the first female Assistant Secretary General and member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) Senior Leadership (2011-2014).

She was elected an independent member of the International Olympic Committee in 2020, and has been appointed Chair of the Future Hosts Commission for the Games of the Olympiad. She is a Special Advisor to the Dean of the Zagreb School of Economics and Management. She serves on the boards of several not-for-profit institutions, such as Friends of Europe, the US Atlantic Council, GLOBSEC, Halifax International Security Forum, the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, and the Concordia Leadership Council. She is a Member of the High-Level Advisory Council for the High Representative for the UN Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), the Global Ambassador for Immunization for Women Political Leaders (WPL), and chair emerita of the Council of Women World Leaders.

Dr. Barbara Kellerman is a Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Center for Public Leadership. She was the Founding Executive Director of the Center, and a member of the Kennedy School faculty for over twenty years. Kellerman has held professorships at Fordham, Tufts, Fairleigh Dickinson, George Washington, Uppsala, Dartmouth, and the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. During the spring 2022 term she was Visiting Professor of Leadership at Christopher Newport University. She also served as Director of the Center for the Advanced Study of Leadership at the University of Maryland.

Dr. Suze Wilson,  is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Management at Massey University. She is passionate about all things leadership along with an abiding interest in how we can make organisations both effective for external stakeholders and enjoyable places to work for employees. 

Her doctoral research examined why and how it has become normalized in recent decades to equate 'leadership' with grandiose expectations of 'transformation', 'vision', and 'charisma'. She argues these ideas, when examined closely, actually create undesirable pressures on leaders, grant them excessive powers, and rely on the problematic assumption that 'followers' are inherently inadequate. She is interested in theorising and practising leadership in ways that are more inclusive and humble.

Dr. Brad Jackson joined Waikato Management School as Associate Dean Strategic Engagement in May 2020. He currently serves as MBA Director and Professor of Leadership and Governance and is the Programme Director for the Community Enterprise Leadership Foundation Elevate programme.

Jackson has published seven books—Management Gurus and Management Fashions, The Hero Manager, Organisational Behaviour in New Zealand, A Very Short, Fairly Interesting and Reasonably Cheap Book About Studying Leadership, Demystifying Business Celebrity, Revitalising Leadership, and The Board as the Nexus Between Leadership and Governance and Responsible Leadership in Corporate Governance. Dr. Jonathan Reams is driven by an insatiable curiosity about the essence of human nature and how to cultivate this essence in the service of leadership.

He uses various outlets to achieve this. He currently has a position at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, where he teaches and does research on leadership development, coaching, and counseling. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of Integral Review, A Transdisciplinary and Transcultural Journal for New Thought, Praxis and Research. Iva Vurdelja, Ph.D., is the Founding Principal of Requisite Development LLC. Iva has a multifaceted career as an educator, consultant, and executive coach. She enables senior leaders in organizations to navigate and sustain large-scale, complex change by helping them to build deep thinking, leadership, and decision-making capabilities. Iva is also a Visiting Clinical Professor at Loyola and Marquette Universities Schools of Business, where she teaches graduate courses in organizational ethics, strategic change, leadership, and human resources development.

Abigail Lynam, Ph.D., is Faculty for Fielding Graduate University’s Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Development and Faculty and Coach for Pacific Integral’s Generating Transformative Change program. Her scholarship and practice sits at the intersection of personal and systemic transformation and development, the area of emphasis being adult developmental psychology applied to adult learning, coaching, social change, and leadership development.

Geoff Fitch is co-founder and faculty at Pacific Integral, and has been creative leader, coach, and educator exploring diverse approaches to cultivating higher human potentials for over 25 years, including somatic and transpersonal psychology, mindfulness, creativity, leadership, integral theory, and collective intelligence. Geoff also has more than 30 years of experience in leadership in business. He holds a Master’s degree in Transpersonal Psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology and a B.S. in Computer Science from Boston University.

Dr. Aidan Harney serves as Global Talent Management & Leadership Development manager for Intel Corporation’s Fabrication, Sort & Manufacturing, or FSM, division.  This is a 12,000-strong organisation, responsible for the production of all internal Intel silicon using some of the world’s most advanced manufacturing processes. Since joining Intel in 2014, Aidan has held various roles in Leadership Development, Organizational Development, and Talent Management. In his most recent role, he was responsible for developing Intel’s enterprise-wide executive development curriculum – Leading Now – as well as the Ireland Leadership Development ‘Accelerator’ program to enable Project BlueJay, the latest manufacturing expansion in Ireland, paving the way for the production of Intel’s new 7nm process technology.

Aidan is an ‘Intel Achievement Award’ recipient (the highest annual recognition Intel can bestow on its employees) for his work on designing and deploying Intel’s ‘Managing @ Intel’ program to all 13,000 people managers in all global locations across the corporation.  Aidan earned his Ph.D. from Munster Technological University in Cork in, Ireland. His doctoral research focused on the aspects of mindset which differentiate outstanding leaders operating in complex environments. 

He resides in Ireland with his partner, Raphael, and they have family in Ireland, Australia, and Brazil. Aidan enjoys hosting dinners for friends, spending time in the great outdoors in Ireland, and volunteering with two organizations: Sport Ireland, which enables participation in sports for people of all abilities and ages, and ‘Aware,’ which supports people affected by depression and bipolar disorder.  Aidan’s dog Harry – a tea-cup Yorkshire Terrier – is 16 years old and weighs 4 lbs!

David McCallum, S.J., Ed.D is a Jesuit priest and leadership educator. He serves as the founding Executive Director of the Program for Discerning Leadership, a special project of the General Curia of the Society of Jesus, Georgetown, and the Gregorian University. The Program provides leadership formation for senior Vatican officials and major superiors of religious orders in Rome, Italy, and internationally. 

He is a facilitator for mission-driven, personal and organizational development programs, provides developmentally informed executive coaching, and delivers leadership development programs and spiritual retreats internationally. He co-founded the Contemplative Leaders in Action program (CLA), an initiative of the Office for Ignatian Spirituality (USA East Coast Province), as well as the Global Jesuit Case Series, the Mission Integration Institute at the University of San Diego, and the Ignatian Leadership Program for the Conference of European Provincials of the Society of Jesus.

Currently, Fr. McCallum lives in Rome and serves as a member of the Secretariat for the Synod of Bishops Commission on Methodology, supporting the Synodal process initiative by Pope Francis, and as adjunct faculty in the Institute for Anthropology, Interdisciplinary Studies of Human Dignity and Care (IADC) at the Pontifical Gregorian University.
