Jason Schlarb is a professional athlete sponsored by Norda and Ultimate Direction, based in Durango, CO.
If American ultrarunning had All-Decade teams, Jason would undoubtedly be a starter for the 2010s, boasting impressive victories at races like Hardrock and Run Rabbit Run, along with a top-five finish at UTMB, among numerous other accolades.
Even in his 40s, Jason continues to deliver outstanding performances. Earlier this year, he was the top American finisher at both TDS and Hardrock, placing 9th and 3rd, respectively.
In this conversation, we cover a wide range of topics in a wonderfully organic way. If you enjoyed our episodes with Michael Versteeg or Anton Krupicka earlier this year, you'll find this discussion similarly laid-back yet rich in insights.

Anton Krupicka is back on the podcast! Few athletes in ultrarunning generate as much excitement as Anton, and he’s returned with a bang—recently setting a fastest known time on the iconic LA Freeway route and securing second place finish at the Grindstone 100 this past weekend.
Beyond his impressive athletic achievements, which notably helped shape the ultrarunning culture in the late 2000s and early 2010s, Anton is a thoughtful and generous conversationalist. He shares plenty of insights in this episode.
While the FKT and race results provide a backdrop, we also dive deeper into nostalgic ultrarunning memories (his friendships with Scott Jurek, Geoff Roes, and Kyle Skaggs), engaging discussions on philosophy (athlete personalities and bike culture), current events (Leadville 100), and his aspirations (UTMB and Hardrock goals).

This past Saturday night at 11:53 PM, Tara Dower set the fastest known time on the Appalachian Trail in 40 days 18 hours 5 minutes, besting Karel Sabbe's 2018 mark by 13 hours and 32 minutes.
Starting August 12th at 5:47 AM, Dower averaged 54+ miles per day over 2,197.4 miles of rugged and relentless terrain from Maine to Georgia to set the mark.
In masterfully riding a fine line of passion, grit, faith, and resourcefulness, Tara and her crew have set a new standard on this trail.
I said this on an Instagram post shortly after the news broke, but I’ll say it here as well - it’s easy to get caught up in the moment, especially in a year that has seen the likes of the first female Barkley finisher, a UTMB course record, and a Hardrock course record - but is this the female performance of the year? Or better yet, is this the overall performance of the year regardless of gender? This is an amazing time to be in the sport.
With all that said, we were fortunate to have Tara on the podcast shortly after her feat. In this conversation, we cover topics all about the Appalachian Trail record around her background, preparation, strategy, execution, mindset, and processing of this monumental achievement.
If you want more long-distance hiking trail or Appalachian Trail trail-specific content, be sure to check out our interviews with Will Peterson, Warren Doyle, and Jennifer Pharr Davis from the past year. Hope you enjoy this one!

After reading her book, "The Longest Race: Inside the Secret World of Abuse, Doping, and Deception on Nike's Elite Running Team", I was eager to connect with Kara Goucher for an in-depth conversation.
For those less familiar with the road running scene, Kara was one of the top American distance runners of the 2000s and 2010s, achieving podium finishes at prestigious events like the Boston and New York City Marathons, as well as the 2012 Olympic Marathon Trials. She also claimed victory at the US Half Marathon Championships the same year, among numerous other accolades. In 2004, she joined the Nike Oregon Project, led by distance running legend Alberto Salazar. Behind the scenes, however, Salazar was pushing the boundaries of anti-doping regulations while fostering a toxic culture of misogyny and athlete abuse. Despite the risk of losing everything and facing immense pressure, Kara found the courage to speak out and successfully advocate for meaningful change.
In our discussion, we explore various themes from The Longest Race, and we also discuss current events, including her podcast with Des Linden - "Nobody Asked Us", and the challenges with today’s anti-doping investigative models.
Before we dive in, please note that this episode is a crossover from my guest-hosting stint on the Run To The Top podcast earlier this spring. Be sure to check out Run To The Top for their excellent coaching resources and content here: https://runnersconnect.net/running-podcast/

In this episode, I'm excited to welcome Matt Trappe to the show. If you’ve been following ultrarunning media over the past decade, Matt’s name might ring a bell. He’s been behind some fantastic content over the last decade, including Jim Walmsley’s "Lighting The Fire" series, "Droddy," and "Leadman: The Dave Mackey Story," among other influential projects.
Matt has recently launched a new brand called Auteur Sportif, which we’ll link to in the show notes below. He’s also an insightful follow on LinkedIn, where he shares valuable commentary on the latest news inside the creative and business realms of endurance sports.
In our conversation, we dive into a range of topics, such as the role of storytelling in brand marketing, the significance of context and human connection in athlete narratives, and how the digital age is reshaping marketing in the trail running space. We also discuss the fragmentation of cultural conversations and the need for brands to engage with their audiences in new ways. Additionally, we explore the potential split between professional and participant markets in ultrarunning, and have some fun exploring open job roles in the sport, like the PR position at UTMB and the Global Creative Director role at Salomon.

Katie Schide returns to the show a week removed from her historic, record-setting win at the 2024 UTMB.
Given that Katie will be on the media circuit fielding many interviews over the next few days and weeks, we focused on some unique angles in this conversation - getting the inside scoop on what the immediate aftermath looks like for pro runners finishing at the front of this race, the psychology of handling near constant media attention from start to finish on this course, whether it makes sense to separate start times for the men’s and women’s races at UTMB, what to do once you’ve succeeded at the pinnacle of the sport, and more.

Abby Hall’s journey to the 2024 UTMB start line is, in my opinion, one of the most compelling storylines of this year’s race.
It’s been a while since she was last on the podcast—roughly about two years ago, around this same time, before the same race. This hiatus was not due to a lack of interest on my part. I closely follow her career across various social media platforms; she’s an exceptional writer and excels at documenting the life of a professional trail runner.
In our conversation, we cover everything that has happened in the past 15 months and what it took for her to return to the sport’s biggest stage. I believe you’ll find the discussion highly valuable. Abby is a generous conversationalist who skillfully connects her experiences to the interests of the audience.

This conversation with Warren Doyle might need a bit of context if you’re not well-versed in the long-distance thru-hiking scene in North America. Warren is a prominent figure in the Appalachian Trail community. While there's some debate about the exact beginning of the modern fastest known time (FKT) scene on the AT, Warren's impressive 1973 record of 66 days and change is widely considered a significant milestone.
Warren’s contributions to the trail are extensive. Over a 45-year period, he led eight large-group “circle” expeditions with near 100% completion rates. He founded the Appalachian Long Distance Hikers Association and established the Appalachian Trail Institute, which has helped thousands of hikers achieve their thru-hiking goals. He has also played a key role in preparing notable figures like Jenn Pharr Davis and Liz Derstine for record-setting endurance attempts, and has advised many other prominent endurance athletes, including Karel Sabbe.
I’m excited to have Warren on the show for several reasons. First and foremost, my deep love for the AT and my ongoing quest to understand its history. Warren has been a central figure in shaping the trail’s scene over the past 40 to 50 years. In our conversation, we’ll explore topics like the nature of endurance records on long trails, the purpose of the AT, social change, the impact of the outdoor industry on thru-hiking culture, the relationship between government and nature, and much more.
Regardless of your familiarity with the scene, I think you’ll find this episode engaging. Warren is a vibrant and generous conversationalist, and I’m sure you’ll gain a lot from our discussion.

If you’re interested in the business of sports and have enjoyed our conversations on these topics in the past, you’ll enjoy this one too.

Brett Hornig and Leah Yingling join Singletrack to recap the Lululemon-backed FURTHER event which took place outside of Palm Springs, CA about a week ago.
It was equal parts interesting from performance, research, technology, marketing, and lifestyle standpoints and we touch on a lot of that in this episode through the lens of Leah’s experience logging 400 miles over the 6-day event and Brett helping crew her during that time frame.
Specifically, we recap her race experience, talk about the multi-day race strategies she picked up over the 6 days, and learn about some of the ultrarunning-related research that was conducted and when that will be available for public consumption.
No doubt many of you were glued to the live tracker for all the athletes out there, Mike McMonagle’s photo journalism, and some of the reporting from Outside and IRunFar. Hopefully, this episode adds another interesting angle to one of the more unique events we’ve seen in the running sphere in at least a few years.

Way back in November 2021 when this show was just getting off the ground, we did an episode with Sam Parsons - a professional runner and cofounder of the Tinman Elite team based in Boulder, CO.
At the time, I was surprised that we had not seen the formation and widespread existence of a truly professionalized, co-located team in the trail running world. So I reached out, he gave me an hour, and I tried to fit in as many questions as I could about how they operate, what’s worked, what hasn’t, and what it would take to create something similar in our community.
I have never done an episode re-run before, but I’m doing it now because (a) it’s been over 2 years and we’re in a similar position to where we were in 2021, (b) the show didn’t have many listeners when the original episode aired so there was little to no reach for the message, and (c) this re-run may queue up a potential part 2 later this winter.
Lastly, I’m well aware of the unique challenges that our sport presents for this idea to work, but I’m still convinced it’s a good idea. So, I hope that in the coming months and years a band of motivated people run with this idea and make something happen.

Trail Tea is back! In this edition, I am once again joined by Jack Kuenzle, Dan Curts, and Abby Levene. There is a fair bit of profanity used in this episode, so you are forewarned on that front. And one issue to be aware of before listening - I neglected to catch an audio issue with Dan’s microphone early in the episode that persists and ultimately, gets worse through the end of the conversation. I looked into possible fixes in post-production, but could not find an adequate solution. Jennifer Pharr Davis is perhaps best known in our community for her two fastest known times set on the Appalachian Trail in 2008 and 2011. The latter record, in my humble opinion, stands as one of the most important and influential feats in the ultra-endurance community during the 2010s.

In this episode I’m talking with Scott Kummer who, among a few other roles in the ultrarunning community, is the host of the popular Ten Junk Miles Podcast.
If you’re a longtime listener, you know this show is capable of going on streaks. Sometimes it focuses on the pro athletes, then it'll focus on the business side of the sport, and so on. Right now, I’m really into these conversations with fellow podcasters in the space. So if you enjoyed the episodes with Dylan Bowman, Corrine Malcolm, Jon Levitt, and Matt Chittim, I think you’ll really enjoy this one too.
Scotty and I get right into a few of the hot-button issues including the pros and cons of engaging with Running Twitter, handling praise and criticism as a public figure in the sport, issues with past and current running content, race coverage preferences, athlete sponsorship issues, UTMB, race directing preferences, and way more.
Don't be intimidated by the 3+ hour length of this episode. No time is wasted - Scott is a great conversationalist.

Tim probably needs no introduction, but of course he is one of the most decorated mountain ultra trail runners of all time, most notably with podium finishes at the 2015 CCC, 2016 UTMB and then again at the 2017 UTMB which most ultra historians would say was the most competitive 100 miler ever in our sports history.
In this conversation, we talk about his focus these days on the Western States 100, his new role in the sport as a Race Director for the Mammoth Trail Fest taking place this September, his thoughts on athlete-brand relationships, and the importance of training for mental aspects of the sport.

In this episode we talk with Buzz Burrell, a co-founder of fastestknowntime.com, a tracking website that has been cataloging the modern FKT movement here in the United States and abroad, to my knowledge, for the better part of the last decade. While there is no governing body for FKT certification, fastestknowntime.com has acted as the informal arbiter of these records.
We spend the majority of the conversation getting into the details about the recent sale of fastestknowntime.com to Outside Magazine earlier this month.
But there’s a lot more to Buzz that’s interesting that we delve into at various points. For example, he’s been trail and ultra running since the late 1960s and has set a wide array of fastest times and first attempts at many classic routes here in the United States including the Colorado Trail and John Muir Trail. And in addition to his work on the FKT site, he has also been an athlete manager for La Sportiva and Brand Director for Ultimate Direction and will be joining Ultrarunning Magazine next month as a regular columnist.

Garrett Heath is a professional runner for Brooks.
Garrett has demonstrated impressive range over the last couple of decades and with world-class PRs in events from the 1500m to the 10k, he has been a threat every time he steps on a starting line. As a three-time champion of the famed Edinburgh XC race, his gutsy racing style has carried him to victory over some of the world’s most legendary runners including Mo Farah.
I reached out to Garrett a couple of weeks ago after seeing an announcement that he was making the switch to trail running. Maybe it’s up for debate, but in my mind he is the highest level track athlete to ever cross over. The dude is legit.
In this conversation, we cover all the basics - what motivated him to make the change, why now, whether he will be coached and who his training partners will be, and what his race schedule will look like in 2022.
Given his background with the famed Brooks Beasts training group in Seattle, we also have a long back and forth about what it would take to build similar type of team in the ultra world. We get his perspective on being a full-time runner, the pros and cons of the lifestyle, and whether he recommends it. And we talk about perceptions of the trail and ultra world outside our bubble and what it might take to recruit more professional athletes like Garrett into the sport.

What stands out to me, however, is his level of commitment to the sport and the depth to which he prepares for each event. I believe his all-in, full-time approach represents the cutting edge that will become the norm for professional athletes in our sport by the end of the decade.

Prior to his venture onto the trails, Reid had an extremely successful career in road marathoning. He holds a 2:10:28 marathon PR and represented Canada in the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games.
It’s been talked about recently to no end, but indeed our sport is only getting more competitive and professionalized and Reid’s entrance is just the latest proof point.
One thing that struck me about Reid was his openness and willingness to talk about any issue in the sport whether it was related to compensation as a professional athlete, training methodology, drug testing, or anything else. It made for an interesting and engaging conversation and I hope that shines through here.

Sarah Cummings is a Professional Trail Runner for Brooks based in Park City, Utah.
We talk about her introduction to the trail world after a significant collegiate and post collegiate career on the roads, her experience and lessons learned rehabbing from a traumatic hamstring injury that could have ended her running career altogether, how she landed in Park City, her thoughts on the Wasatch trail running scene, her 2022 racing plans and more.
As you all know, I think the Wasatch has the potential to be the next American cultural hub for trail running. In fact, one of my big predictions is that by 2023 this will be the place in the same way that Mill Valley carried the banner in the mid 2010s and how Flagstaff did the same in the late 2010s. I think there’s been a gap to fill for a few years, especially since the pandemic started. And I think its anyones for the taking, so why not Salt Lake? In this episode we talk with the winner of the Bandera 100k, Marianne Hogan. Marianne is based in Montreal, Canada and runs for Salomon.
In addition to the recap of her race at Bandera and her initial thoughts on Western States, we talk about the trail running scene in Quebec, her work as a guide for a paralympic athlete at the Tokyo games, her history in the sport including a 4 year stretch of injuries that led to a triumphant return this past fall at Ultra Trail Cape Town, and more.
I love seeing East Coast athletes like Marianne shine. Expect her to be a top competitor at Western States in June.

This is the first episode in a monthly series we are calling the “Coaching Call”.
For context - In April, I will be lining up for the Canyons 100k. Ryan Ghelfi, the Head Coach at Trails and Tarmac, is going to help me prepare. We decided to take it a step further by working in total transparency. Our calls will be recorded and the training log will be viewable 24/7 for you to analyze.
Here is how these episodes will work.
At the beginning of each month, we will hop on a call to recap and analyze the training from the previous 4 weeks. It will be like any normal check in call of ours, except it will be recorded. Nothing will be held back. You will get total insight into my goals, how the workouts are going, what’s working, what isn’t working, what I'm concerned about, and questions I have. There will be 6 total episodes including a pre-race and post-race call through the end of April.
Hopefully you can see yourself in these conversations and apply some of the topics that we cover to your own training.
In future episodes we will be entertaining audience questions, so reach out on social with topics you’d like us to cover. I will also link in the show notes to Ryan's social channels as well as the Trails and Tarmac website in case you want to get in touch.
In this first episode we kick off our coaching relationship that officially starts on January 3rd. We look into how I’m feeling, how training will be structured, strategies to stay focused, how to think about goal setting and more. Enjoy!

Dave Dombrow and Kevin Fallon are the co-founders of Speedland, a new trail running brand on the market.
In this conversation, we explore their backgrounds in the running industry at Nike, Under Armour, and Puma and how those experiences informed the mission at Speedland.
We then get into the work they are doing at Speedland and how they are re-positioning their primary product (the SL:PDX) as a piece of equipment, instead of a shoe.
We also get into their general philosophies on differentiation and communicating value, how they determine their target persona, the advantages and disadvantages of starting a new brand in our sport, and the lessons of the entrepreneurial journey so far.

We then transition into a discussion of relevant companies in the fitness and wellness space that trail runners might be interested in like wearable technology, supplements, and stuff like that.
We conclude the conversation with advice Joe has for listeners interested in building media, e-commerce, and event businesses in our sport.

Sam Parsons is one of the co-founders of Tinman Elite, a professional running team based in Boulder, CO.
We spend the vast majority of this episode going through the playbook for how to build a running team and what that model would look like in the world of mountain ultra trail running.
For Salt Lake area listeners, you know we’ve tried this before. And for fans of the sport, you know we’ve had forms of this before like with the Coconino Cowboys. There is still a gap to fill though.
I hope this conversation fires up someone somewhere to try again. Let's go!

We don’t always do emergency podcasts, but when we do it’s because something big has happened in the ultra running world.
In this episode, we talk with Nick Coury. Nick is less than 48 hours removed from setting the American 24 hour running record of 173.015 miles at the Desert Solstice event down in Arizona.
While the intention of this episode was to do a deep dive on Nick’s record performance at Desert Solstice, we actually only touch on it briefly. Early on in the conversation, we started following threads on Nick’s mental training strategy and negative splitting philosophy, as well as his role building Aravaipa Running that were too compelling to gloss over.
I mention it towards the end of the episode, but I’m genuinely glad this episode went the way it did. Nick will give you a lot to think about in your training after listening to this one. Enjoy!

In this episode we talk with Moe Lauchert. Moe is a photographer and videographer based here in Salt Lake City. He’s worked for trail running brands like Patagonia and Satisfy and something tells me I am catching him at the very early stages of a notable career. We talk about:
This one was recorded in studio, we go long - about 2 hours, have a bit to drink, and only talk peripherally about running at times. But it was an authentic conversation, there’s a lot of life talk in there, and almost all of it is applicable to our sport if you think about it. Moe just might become a regular on the show.

We met on the Salt Lake City trail scene a couple of years back and have been good friends ever since. I've always enjoyed his takes on our sport, so when I started this pod I was determined to get one of our conversations on the record. We finally did it.
At its core, this is an episode about the importance of discovering and going all in on your identity from a trail runners point of view. Whether this episode finds you lounging, mid-long run, in commute, or on a long road trip - I hope you can relax and enjoy the message.

In this episode, we catch up with pro runner, business owner, environmental advocate, and Salt Lake City local - Grayson Murphy.
We cover:
Thanks to Grayson for coming on the pod. I have avidly followed her career over the past 2-3 years. She’s obviously tearing it up in every realm of running. I selfishly want to see her on the ultra scene as soon as possible. That said, I think we can expect to see her do many more special things on the road, track, and at the sub ultra distance on trails until then.

Maybe you’ve been thinking about being a creator and/or building a business of some sort in the running world. This episode focuses on how to build a running-related internet business. If that’s your jam right now, this is a fantastic episode.
To show the audience how it’s done, we have Jason Fitzgerald on the pod. Jason is the founder of strengthrunning.com, which has been around for over 12 years. The site hosts a great blog and podcast, and in general it’s a great resource for runners aiming to get stronger, stay healthy, and race faster.
For those just getting started on their business journey, we cover how to create awareness, identify your target customers, think about content creation, and determine the best marketing channels to invest in for scalability - all in the context of our running world.
Jason is a great speaker and drops a ton of knowledge bombs. Again, If you’ve ever wanted to be some sort of entrepreneur in our sport, and leverage the power of the internet to do it, give this one a listen.

Jack Kuenzle is a New England-based Mountain Runner.
He came on my radar after setting the FKT on the Hut Traverse in the White Mountains of New Hampshire - one of the most prestigious FKTs in the US - and for some of the social media he puts out there around the sport - his commentary demonstrates original thinking on a lot of issues and that’s why I wanted to have him on the pod.
In this conversation we talk about how technology has given us the ability to race when we are ready and in a disaggregated fashion, criticisms of the athlete sponsorship landscape and the status quo for repping products on social media, the northern New England mountain running scene, why athletes will need to specialize as the sport gets more mature and competitive, and why Americans should start to embrace FKT culture even more.

In this episode, we talk with Matt Taylor, the Founder of Tracksmith. For those not familiar, Tracksmith is a running brand based out of Boston, MA that serves the "dedicated amateur runner", a phrase that caught my attention and a persona that we talk a lot about in this episode.
We go deep on that subject. We also talk about differentiation, community building, athlete sponsorship models, lessons of entrepreneurship, and running trends he’s noticing.
Matt is a great entrepreneur, a great brand marketer, and as I learn in this conversation - a great commentator on our sport as well. I think you will really enjoy this one.

We cover a range of topics - including the future of trail running, the making of the Morning Shakeout Newsletter, and advice he has for newcomers aiming to break into the coaching profession.
If you enjoy banter about our sport, have ever thought about putting running related content out into the world, or considered getting into coaching - this is a great episode. Mario is a great conversationalist and one of those rare individuals who is an equally talented runner, coach, and media person in our sport.

In this episode we check in with Eric Schranz. As most of you know, Eric is the co-founder of one of the most popular media sources in our sport, ultrarunnerpodcast.com.
We talk about the state of his podcast and newsletter, what make a good interview, his favorite conversations over the past decade, the good, the bad, and the ugly of how our sport is changing, and we get his thoughts on the scene at the Broken Arrow Sky Race series earlier this month.
The conversation jumped all over the place, but in a way that felt authentic. If you are someone who enjoys pure banter about our sport, you will like this episode.

Most conversations on this show take place at the intersection of business, culture, and performance within the sport of mountain ultra trail running.
This episode captures that spirit perfectly. On today’s show, we have the co-Founder of Strava and current Chairman, Mark Gainey.
Strava is a fitness tracking and social media app designed primarily for endurance athletes. And it’s had a considerable impact on the culture of our sport in particular.
As Mark will explain, Strava was born out of desire to recreate the community element of team sports typically strongest in high school and collegiate settings, and to leverage the power of the internet to reinstate this phenomenal social support system for athletes at every stage of their lives.
Mark’s thesis was that amazing things happen in this teammate environment - you might push a little harder, stay more motivated, be held more accountable, exercise more - even when its being replicated digitally
And we get into all that. Specifically, Mark and I go in depth about -
And more! Give it a listen.

I’m calling this Strava week because, yes, we have another representative from the platform here today.
Larissa Rivers is the North American Marketing Lead at Strava leading all brand efforts in the US and Canada through community building and nationally engaging programs. She joined Strava back in 2012 when it was still only relatively known amongst a cult following of cyclists with a view towards growing the brand amongst runners. The year after that, she and her husband, Brett opened up San Francisco Running Company to serve the trail runners in the Bay Area. They sold the company in 2019 and now live with mountain views in Louisville, CO with their three young and very active girls.
In this conversation, we go in depth about -

Amy Clark is an ultra runner based in Bend, Oregon. She is also the Editor of Ultrarunning Magazine, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. The monthly magazine has recurring columns on nutrition, training and strategy, running culture and philosophy, and race reports.
In this episode, Amy and I cover some recurring themes of the show in a new light - we talk how and why the sports growing, how and why female participation in particular is growing, whether the US can handle big, festival-like ultra running events comparable to what we are seeing in Europe, whether the FKT and personal project style of trail running that gained popularity during COVID is here to stay, some thoughts on how to put on a good race, and more. On today’s show, we have Eric Senseman. Eric is a professional trail runner for Hoka One One, Rabbit, and Gu Energy. Alongside Jim Walmsley, Tim Freriks, Stephen Kirsch, Jared Hazen, and Cody Reed, Eric is also a member of the Coconino Cowboys, the famous training group based in the American endurance sports Mecca of Flagstaff, AZ. Like previous guests of the pod, one of the things I appreciate about Eric is how willing and excited he is to comment on some of the biggest issues, opportunities, and questions around our sport.
We discuss: the factors required to create the Coconino Cowboys, the similarities and differences of their setup to counterparts like Hoka NAZ Elite in the track and field space, as well the conditions needed to build similar training groups elsewhere in the US. Eric reflects on his strategy of surrounding himself with better runners in order to fast track his ascent in the sport. We talk about the makings of a good trail town, and we cover how media coverage is evolving in our sport and what innovation will look like in the near and long terms.

On todays show we have Karl Meltzer. Karl is one of the first runners in our sport to truly go pro, specializing early on in his career in the 100 mile event. Since the late 1990s, he's won over 40 races, including at least 1 every year for for the last 19 years - both are records that may never be broken. He’s also the Race Director for the Speedgoat 50k and perhaps most importantly, he’s just a guy you’d wanna have a beer with. He brings so much awesome perspective to the sport.
In this episode, we do some analysis on the American contingent at this year's UTMB, we talk about race directing, we speculate on a potential new 100 mile race in the central Wasatch range, and we reflect on what it takes to make a career out of this sport.
I won’t spoil anything for you, but this was one of my favorite conversations to date. Enjoy!
